Where do I even begin..,. This will hands down become my favorite MKA book. I absolutely devoured it and was so so sad when I finished it because I wanted it to last forever. I loved that there was a mystery, a little romance plus just the everyday business of running a resort. I really enjoyed the main character and the supporting characters except of course the bad guys, which I will say surprised me a bit! Of course, my favorite was the attention to detail that MKA is known for….especially in regards to the traits of the dachshund! Hilarious and spot on!

This was the first book I’ve read from Mary Kay Andrews, so I didn't know what to expect going in. I thought that this would include more romance, but it actually had more mystery which I really enjoyed. With old crimes resurfacing and new crimes popping up, I was definitely intrigued to see how it ended!
We get to see many different POVs on how everyone’s story ties into the Saint Cecilia, a beachside resort, as they rush to get ready and open for the season. It is written to show how complicated life can be full of family drama, old feuds, grief, trauma, and complicated relationships but also, moving forward, finding new friends and finding new love.
Initially, I did have a hard time keeping up with all the character introductions in the beginning, but as the story came together, it made more sense for how it was set up and written from multiple perspectives.
I’d say this is the perfect read if you are looking for a book where mysteries are solved with some romance along the way! It releases on May 7th, 2024!
Thank you to NetGalley, St. Martin’s Press, and Mary Kay Andrews for the opportunity to read this early in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you, NetGalley for this advanced reader’s copy. Mary Kay Andrews does not disappoint when she writes a fun summer novel and this book is no exception. This is the story of the Saint Cecelia resort and the sordid tales of the rich who stay there or the “Saints” and those who live in the the surrounding town or the “Ain’ts”. Of course the rich get up to no good, but don’t count on the townies as being all sweet and innocent. This was not my first Mary Kay Andrews book and will not be my last as they are fast and fun summer reads.

This novel had a great storyline. Characters you can connect with though it was more plot driven. It kept the pages turning. It is written in multiple perspectives. There is murder, mystery, corruption, family issues, and a resolved ending.
The language was more than I expected from a Mary Kay Andrews book. The story could be easily point driven without so many harsh curse words. So I give this a 4 star.
Thanks to the publisher for an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

This book was a great light and easy read. I want nothing more than to go visit and stay at the Saint! This was my first MKA book that is not set at Christmas and it did not disappoint. I definitely was not expecting a mystery aspect.

You all already know by now how much I adore MKA and how I am especially enamored with all her seasonal novels (which remind me of Hallmark movies)! But there are also those other MKA novels - novels that grab me from Page 1 that have nothing to do with the holidays - and Summers at the Saint is one of those. Not since I read Hissy Fit have I been so completely consumed but one of her stories.
Summer at the Saint is set on the beautiful Saint Cecelia property in the Low Country (I totally picture The Cloister at Sea Island as I read this novel) and focuses on the Eddings family that has run it for generations. Tracy Eddings didn't grow up in the life of privilege that The Saint's patrons (and owners) have, but she married into it and is now the one running is after the tragic death of her beloved husband. As Tracy figures out the best way to continue her husband's legacy, one thing after another occurs that threaten to bring it all tumbling down. This novel has everything - beautiful heroines, family drama, crime, mystery, intrigue - and it's all woven together in MKA's signature style. This will be your perfect summer read, I promise you!

UGHHH i loved this book! Growing up going to the beach and near water, this made me want to go to the St. Cecelia so badddd. this would be the perfect beach read/summer read book for anyone that is feeling those summer vibes.

Was not expecting this to a mystery read! Really enjoyed it. I don’t know if it was the time I was starting it but I had a hard time keeping up with all the characters at first. As it went on, it eventually all clicked and it wasn’t bad. If you love family drama, murder mysteries, reconciliation, and enjoyable reading…I highly recommend Summers at the Saint!

What a delightful, life affirming in the end, great offering by one of my favorite Authors of our time,
Mary Kay Andrews. With a full cast of brilliantly written characters, one can become completely
engrossed in this story right from the start, and your are in the Author’s capable hands until the
very last page. Hoping for a sequel, knowing it does not work that way, completely satisfied with
the time spent with everyone from the Saint family and staff to the phenomenal handing of the
various guests,,,from the ones no one wants to meet, to the ones the family and staff may just fall
in summer love with, or despise until the next time they visit the Hotel Saint. The story book ending
is, of course, perfectly crafted, and leaves the reader sated. I highly recommend this wonderful book!
My thanks to St. Martin’s Publishing Group and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book for
review purposes.

I have always been a fan of Mary Kay Andrew's writing and Summers at the Saint did not dissapoint! There are several characters, but they are easy to keep track of and I enjoyed the main Character Traci Eddings. Her story is one of challenges, heartaches and triumphs. As she runs the St. Cecilia Hotel also known as the "Saint" after her husbands untimely passing, she learns more aobut the hotel and her late husband's family. This book is filled with mystery, solving a murder, friendships and a little romance. This is a great, quick, interesting read. Don't hesitate to pick up a copy.

Thank you to NetGalley and publisher St. Martin’s Press for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
Summers at the Saint takes plae at a wonderful summer resort off the coast of Georgia, and is full of family drama, a decades old mystery death, and fractured friendships begging to be renewed.
When Traci Eddings inherits the ownership of the St. Cecilia resort when her husband tragically passes away, she’s in a bit over her head but determined to succeed. At the same time she is brought back in touch with her estranged and dearest friend, Shannon. Both girls were lifeguards at the resort when they were young and tried to save a drowning young boy who, despite their herculean efforts, didn’t make it. Both were wracked with guilt – but as the story unfolds we find there may be more to it. At the same time, Traci is dealing with issues at the resort including missing merchandise, financial losses and is determined to figure out what is going on.
Mary Kay Andrews’ characters are always compelling, and written with her characteristic flair for injecting humor, drama and vulnerability into their lives. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and thought that the mystery aspect of the book was very well done. While I love a good romance, this book offers mystery with only a side bit of romance – which made it all the more compelling.
Highly recommend to fans of MKA as well as newbies. You won’t be disappointed.

I was introduced to Mary Kay Andrews in December, when my book club picked Bright Lights, Big Christmas for the month. I followed that read by quickly devouring the Santa Suit. Then I found her on instagram and discovered she wrote beach reads. I made the assumption that they would largely follow a similar arc as the Christmas books- entertaining, Hallmark-y, centering around a love story, complete with a happy ending. I requested this ARC from NetGalley expecting more of the same, but oh boy I was so very wrong. What is that saying about not judging a book by its cover?
Summers at the Saint was less Hallmark and more Lifetime mysteries. It was the best kind of chaotic with so many characters, storylines, and drama. There’s murder, deceit, complicated relationships, years old feuds, drugs, arson, grief, and new love. It reminded me of an old favorite tv show, Revenge.
Summers at the Saint comes out on May 7, 2024. Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the opportunity to read and review this ARC!

I really wanted to love this book. Mary Kay Andrews has been a fairly new-to-me author and I’ve LOVED the 4-5 of hers that I’ve read so far. Unfortunately, this one didn’t do it for me. I made it through 30% before I just couldn’t do it anymore.

Traci is trying to get The Saint hotel back in the black after her husband's death and covid. Parrish, the niece, decides to work the front desk instead of going to Europe. She keeps a notebook of suspicious complaints from the guests. Livvy is working in the restaurant, even though her mother was fired from the Saint when she was younger.
Garrett and Charles have worked for the Saint for years. KJ is forced by his father to work at the saint for the summer to see what it's like to live in the real world. Felice needs a chef job once her boyfriend steals her credit card. Felice also starts noticing weird things around the hotel when it comes to the food ordered. Suddenly, one of the employees ends up dead, and others take off to figure out why. Meanwhile, Whelan enters the picture trying to figure out why his brother drown years ago. The author does an amazing job of character development and bringing all of the storylines together. This is probably my favorite book by her. I loved it and it was sad to reach the end.

"Summers at the Saint" is a fun, easy read, providin"Summers at the Saint" is a delightful and effortless read that weaves a complex and intricate tapestry of motives, thefts, and murders. Mary Kay Andrews has always been a great author, and this book is no exception. It's a perfect summer read that offers a blend of mystery, romance, and breathtaking scenery.
Throughout the story, Andrews masterfully introduces many twists and turns that keep the readers engaged and on their toes. The book is perfect for cozy readers who enjoy a good mystery with a touch of romance and an idyllic setting.

Mary Kay Andrews does not disappoint with her latest summer novel. She describes a resort that you want to visit and a book I did not want to end. Summers at the Saint includes all of my favorite things - a little romance, a little mystery, and a beautiful setting.

Yall. Get excited! Mary Kay Andrews newest summer smash is coming May 7th and you are not going to want to miss it. It’s her best book yet (I know I say this every year but really this time it is 🤣). This book was so much fun for my Atlanta native self with school mentions of Marist (my Alma mater), Westminster and summers at the Driving Club. Even better, this entire story takes place on St. Cecilia Island which anyone from Georgia will recognize thanks to the contentious causeway closing back in the early 2000’s. Fancy resort, well heeled Atlantans, murders, affairs, arson……This book took such shocking turns for me over and over and over. I couldn’t put it down. I’ll remind everyone when it releases but do yourself and favor and pre-order it so it’s ready for your summer beach trip to The Saint. 🐚☀️🌊⛱️🏝️

I love this author’s writing. This book was 400 pages but the pages just flew by. I really liked this one. There were a lot of characters to keep up with throughout the book and the story moved along at a good pace. I can’t wait to read more from this author!
Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the arc of this book.

By Mary Kay Andrews i read "The Santa Suit" and "The Homewreckers", and there were such a fun read.
When I found out that there was an opportunity to read "Summers at the Saint",
I immediately rushed to apply for it.
Let's start from the cover, stunning, the covers of Andrews' books are all beautiful,
and make you want to buy the book without even reading the plot. Then when you start reading Andrews' books,
you understand that there really is no need to read the plot, because her books are fun and light. And they surely are must read!
"Summers at the saint" appears to be a summer read (don't judge the book by their cover, a classic,
even if the book itself has a stunning cover as this one). This story takes a rather dark turn, watch out!
We are at the St. Cecelia, also known commonly ad "The Saint". The main character is Traci, when she was young she worked at this hotel,
and little by little she climbed to the heights of the hotel, marrying the boss's son.
Some years later she loses her husband due to a plane crash. And now she became the boss.
Unfortunately, in addition to the hotel, he also inherited the duty to restore the hotel to its splendor, and to maintain the Saint’s sterling
reputation, despite the hard situation it is facing.
Above all, she also has to face her dead husband's family and, obviously, they can't stand her.
Last but not least, when she least expects it, in addition to the secrets, a corpse also resurfaces from the water.
I won't say anything else, enjoy the reading. The story is smooth, funny and full of twists. I give five stars to this story,
because it reminds me of my beloved Finlay Donovan, same vibe!
Highly recommend.
Ps let's not overlook a beautiful detail, on the cover, "novel" is written in the stars, literally. I love it!
Thanks so much to St. Martin's Publishing Group and the author for this ARC, in exchange for my honest review.

Mary Kay Andrew’s is remarkable. Book after book, she writes such fun “who done it?” stories. If you enjoy romance, cast of characters, murder and mystery, then you will enjoy this quick read.
Thank you #NetGalley, #StMartin’sPress, #MaryKayAndrews and #Summers attheStaint for the advance readers copy for my honest review.
