If you need to crochet some baby sets as gifts or for your own baby, this book is really cool, with nice photos as well as step by step guide. I am not a beginner but I think even a beginner could follow patterns from this book.

To be honest, no matter what type of crochet book I'm reviewing (whether it be specifically baby sets, amigurumi, home items, etc.) what I think about most is "is there anything special about this book?" AKA is there anything in this book that is different and makes it stand apart from the 9534023849238908 other crochet books out there.

To be honest, I didn't find that with this one. There are a bunch of basic sets, which is cute, but I found that I wasn't super impressed by the patterns. I think one thing that could've helped some of these patterns stand out more is if they had used more neutral (aka single colored) yarn that showed off the stitches and differences between the patterns more. I also think they could've benefitted from using even like a baby doll/mannequin to show off the items as opposed to only flat-lays. It's hard to get excited by a project without seeing what it looks like on.

I did like that the beginner/basic info is at the end of the book, so that the information is all there, but if you are a more experienced crocheter, you don't have to flip through a bunch of stuff that isn't relevant for your makes.

All in all, unless you are a beginner, I'd say this one is okay to skip. I didn't find anything in it that was super fun or that I was dying to make.

I’m an avid crocheter, I’ve seen a lot of poorly and well written patterns. This book has well written patterns with enough instruction for beginners to have a go too. It’s well presented and the baby sets are cute! Nicely done.

My nieces and nephews have started having babies and I have been the one that makes them their blankets and I have started to make stuffed animals as well I am wanting to get into making clothes too. I was excited to get this one so I can use some of the patterns for them. ᵕ̈

Even if you have no need to baby clothes, get this book! The patterns in this are perfect. Cute blankets. Socks, hats, and outfits that are classics and will be in style for years to come. If you understand how to modify patterns, some of these outfits could even be made for dolls. Great detailed pictures and easy to read patterns, even for beginners. You never know when you may way to gift baby clothes, or even for yourself. Great book to add to your collection of patterns

I love this book for modern cute crochet sets for babies. The colors and stitches are beautiful. This author did a great job!!

Many of the patterns are pretty easy so would be suitable for a beginner to have a go at. All the patterns could be adapted to your own taste. Overall a good collection of patterns
