This book contains ten patterns for making various house decor accessories. The instructions for each project seem clear and the book is nicely illustrated. Everything is constructed in a neutral (i.e., beige or grey) color, though, and this is not as attractive to me as if there were more colors included. I really couldn't see myself making any of these except maybe the basket and the pillows. I'd have no use for any of the other things. The two throws that were included were both not very attractive in my view. So, I wouldn't buy this book, and am not sure I'd recommend it unless a person is really into kitsch and/or in love with neutral color scheme.

Thank you to Globe Pequot and NetGalley for providing an advance review copy of this book. My opinions are my own.

What a beautiful book! I enjoyed reading about ways to make my home more cozy and comfortable with the crochet projects shown in the book. The patterns were easy to follow and had clear instructions. The yarn (and other notions) are fairly accessible and affordable, making these projects great for anyone. I especially enjoyed the photography of the finished items.

I am not really new to crocheting but I am also not a pro at it…The patterns seem like they would be easy to follow definitely going to try some of these patterns. Can’t wait to get my hands on a hard copy to add to my collection.

I would like to thank NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to review this book.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing this eARC.

My Crocheted Home offers a selection of crochet patterns for various home decor.

Though many of the patterns in this book look complex -- I mean, to crochet an entire ottoman is certainly a feat! -- when you get down to the bones of the pattern, Salena Baca's designs are wonderfully simple (though not quite simple enough for a brand new crocheter, as the patterns don't offer much in the way of visual guidance). That makes these projects easy to tackle and a joy to display in the home. Plus, a large portion of the patterns use chunky yarns, which means the designs also work up quite fast. Though I don't think this pattern book is the be-all end-all for everyone's home decor needs -- the designs and types of items are very curated to specific uses and aesthetics -- I do think that every one of these patterns is practical and relatively easy to accomplish for crocheters whose aesthetic sensibilities align with Baca's.

Almost 10 years ago I taught myself to crochet using easy to read patterns and videos. This book would have been perfect to learn how to do so many different home projects with crocheting. But now, I have had the opportunity to review this book and see many of the patterns in it. My favorite pattern in this book was the arrowhead throw and the plant cozy. I will be purchasing this book to add to my collection of crochet books so that when it comes time to make gifts for people, I have it to look back on. I highly recommend this book and sharing it with those who love to be creative.

Great crochet patterns! These are written simply enough that a beginner should be able to follow them fairly easily, but I don’t think an advanced crocheter would be bored either. I’m looking forward to trying some of them!

I am a beginner crocheter, who is self-taught from Youtuve vidoes. So I usually find it difficult to read and follow written instructions., however, this books was an exception. The written instruction and images make it very clear what we are making and how to make it. I have even ear-marked 2 projects to make, and found I was able to follow the instructions and crochet comfortably.
The book has a handful of projects, but it is a good starting point for adding crocheted items to your home.
Also, I liked that most are 1-2 weekend projects and so are quick to make,

I think patrons will like this new crochet book. I would recommend it as a good book for beginners. Crochet has been especially popular recently, so I think this would be a good addition to any public library collection.

The patterns were fairly easy to follow. The household/home items chosen for inclusion were generic and easy to shift for most any home.

Beautifully photographed, easy and quick to work up patterns. While not necessarily for a complete beginner, this would be a great choice for someone who has already mastered the basics but wants to branch out a little bit. I'm looking forward to trying the chunky basket pattern.

If you are into home deco and you crochet, this book is for you. I was curious to see what could be crocheted for deco and some are really cute and I could crochet for my own home.

Thanks to Netgalley and Globe Pequot for access to this arc in exchange for my honest review.

I first like to say thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me an opportunity to read this arc. Crochet is one of my calming hobbies and this book was great for those times when I want a quick project using chunky yarn. These patterns were easy to understand and very well written and I think that they would be great for beginners.

My Crocheted Home: Hand-made baskets, pillows, throw, wall hangings, placemats, and more is described as a collection of patterns that are fresh, modern, functional, and super-satisfying and it is exactly that. The projects are interesting and require little experience in crocheting. Each pattern is based on the chain stitch, the single crochet stitch and the double crochet stitch. There are some occasional special techniques, but they are well described and do not appear difficult to implement.

The instructions given are clear and precise, and each project has pictures. The project patterns are laid out in a very clear and functional manner. Baca states the brand and type of yarn used, the required number of skeins of each color, needed materials, special technique if applicable, size of the product gauge, and a special notes section before giving the step-by-step instructions of the pattern itself.

Anyone who loves to crochet will enjoy this book. Since so few stitches are used in the projects, I wish the author had included stitch instructions at the beginning of the book so those new to crocheting wouldn't need to go elsewhere to learn how to do the stitch. A very minor flaw indeed!

My sincere thanks to Stackpole Books for allowing me to access a DRC of the book via NetGallley. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are my own and are given freely. Publication is 3/5/24.

Some nice ideas and funny stuff. Easy to make with a very good explanation of how to crochet. More for beginners and those who love their homes to be full of crochet 'art'.

I was looking for things to make for my house and I came across this book. If you like to crochet, this book is for you! The patterns are creative and the pictures really help you see each project. They projects use a chunky yarn that to will work up fast.
I’m not sure if I want to make the table runner or ottoman first. My house is going to be so pretty!
Many thanks to the author and NetGalley for a complimentary copy of the book. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

I am not a huge crochet-er but I liked this book a lot. I like larger format projects that use a lot of materials and this book delivered. Crochet is so bulky, I think it works really well for projects you don't want to wear which is why making stuffed animals is so popular but how many toys do you want or need? This shows you practical items for the home like blankets, rugs and plant pot covers.

My Crocheted Home by Salena Baca provides several patterns for home goods which are appropriate for beginner to intermediate crocheters. This book assumes that the crocheter has knowledge of basic crochet stitches as well as how to read a crochet pattern. Some verbal explanations of special stitches/techniques is offered, adding pictorial instructions would've made this more beginner friendly.

The photography of finished home goods is pleasing to the eye, and the neutral color pallette chosen will appeal to many. The patterns incorporate other materials (wooden handles, metal hoops, etc.) in a creative manner. I'm particularly excited about the pattern for the Hanging Plant Basket, and plan to crochet this when I have the time, however, some of the other projects are less original, or have very similar free versions which could be easily accessed. The benefit to these projects being more general is that an advanced crocheter could easily adapt the size of the pattern or change the look by choosing different stitches.

Thank you to Salena Baca and Globe Pequot for providing me access to the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
