Thank you Netgalley for the ARC of Lovers and Liars, what a great book by Amanda Eyre Ward. I enjoyed the book from the very start as it drew me in. It was a quick read with good character development and setting/location. Would definitely recommend. 4/5 stars

A fun, sophistcated and heartwarming family story -- and it is mostly set in an ancient English castle in a quaint village. Of three sisters, the focus is mainly on Sylvie. She's the youngest, and a very young widow. She has found love again with Simon, whose family has owned the castle for many generations. The wedding will take place there, and of course, she invites her sister Emma, who has a family and lives in their Montana hometown. Emma has some epic secret financial problems. And Cleo, the oldest, a mega-successful New York City lawyer who has been looking for love in the wrong place. Throw in their problematic mother and you have a terrific page-turner! I look forward to recommending this title.

This was a great vacation, feel good read. I enjoyed all of the characters and it demonstrates the all the intricate messinesses of families and bonds of sisterhood.

This book highlights the importance of sisterhood and the support and love that comes with each interaction especially in light of the fact that the three sisters grew up with a narcissist whom only thought of herself. Donna's actions were simply to satisfy her wants at the time and such as having Emma sit in a field while she met with Noah, it was a purely selfish ploy. It is understandable that each sister tried to fight their own battle and harden themselves to those who wanted in. Each had their own issues such as Emma's crippling debt which she kept hidden from Rich, Cleo's knowledge of Alexander and her inability to claim the love that she wanted and deserved and Sylvie's constant feeling of being less then. This book brought out a series of emotions and the reader cannot help but cheer them on in the hopes that they will find happiness. The ending at the castle certainly was unpredictable especially in the light that it was the place that the wedding was to take place. However, alk emerged stronger and when Sylvie married Simon, it was exactly at the right time.

This book quickly captured my heart. I don't have a sister, so reading about the relationship among these three siblings was enjoyable. I always love a good wedding story mixed with secrets. Outstanding book overall. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

I read a lot of thrillers and was looking for a 'palette cleanser' and wanted to read something lighter and not very intense. Lovers and Liars fit the bill perfectly.

It's a pleasant novel about three essentially estranged sisters who gather for the youngest's wedding. The books is split into sections with chapters from their three points of view. They're each dealing with their own relationship struggles and have the influence of their extremely toxic mother hanging over them.

Emma was by far my favorite character, though plots where one spouse has accrued a lot of debt stresses me out, it was a nice switch to have the woman be the one causing this problem.

Overall it was an enjoyable easy read where everything works out in the end. (Spoiler: but who locked the door??? Did I miss that? Why did that even need to happen if there wasn't an explanation?)

I’ve enjoyed all of Amanda Eyre Ward’s books and this one didn’t disappoint. Three sisters who have grown apart over the years come together for youngest sister Sylvie’s wedding (in a castle!) to wealthy Simon. This is Sylvie’s second marriage, as she was widowed a decade ago and has had a hard time letting go. Cleo is an attorney in New York and is trying to figure out what she wants out of her relationship and sister Emma, a stay at home mom, has gotten caught up in a pyramid scheme and is hiding a big secret from her husband.
A breezy read that touches on some deep subjects, I enjoyed this book. I wish it would have delved a little more deeply into the characters, but it flowed well and ended on a good note for all.

A cute book about three sisters and their relationship. Sylvie is about to get married in a castle and her sisters Emma and Cleo come to support her, but a few things need dealt with. This was a breezy read and I enjoyed it!

I’ve received an advanced copy through Netgalley, but all opinions are my own.

I really really loved this. It has everything-difficult family dynamics, grief, romance and one of my favorite things-a takedown of multilevel marketing schemes! Highly recommended!!
