AMIAS is a story of a young man's journey to find courage and discover his true self, an awakening of the historical imagination vital for a great writer, philosopher, and political leader.

A good book to read. Make readers thinks about life.

This worked well as a historical fiction novel, it had everything that I was hoping for from the description. Thomas Penn Johnson does a great job in setting this world and characters. It worked well overall and I enjoyed getting to read this.

Thank you Netgalley for the arc!
I read this on a Sunday evening and enjoyed it. The historical setting was good and the characters were well written. Would love to see this as a live performance. Was interesting to read about a lifelike portrayal of Francis Bacon.
