Ohhhh I love you, Inglewild! As an official, card-carrying member of the Inglewild, Maryland PHONE TREE, I adored this love story between golden retriever Charlie and spicy sweet Nova. The banter was top notch and the attraction was sizzling off the page. I love how BK Borison writes her love scenes... so, so good!
I think that while this is billed as being in-a-series-but-you-can-read-it-as-a-standalone, you really should read the others first. There are a lot of characters to keep track of, and the beginning of the book only glosses over them. I think it would be tricky to figure out the relationships without first having read the other three. But you wouldn't need to twist my arm to read the other three... they are that good! The series as a whole is just a delight, and Business Casual rounds it out so beautifully.
As far as plot, I think it could be tightened up a bit and also get into some of the subplots a little bit more. The Harvest Festival I think could have used more pages to center it in the story. I also think the Charlie-Dad relationship dynamic could have been woven in a bit more, so that we can really feel Charlie's growth at the end of the book. Same with the Nova-Beckett dynamic... I understood what she was feeling, but couldn't quite connect with her consternation. The tattoo studio was fun to read about, and I think actually including MORE details about tattooing would have been interesting and given Nova's character some added depth (it didn't really get into her artistry much, which is a core element of who she is!).
Thank you so much for this gorgeous, spicy, sweet visit back to Inglewild. I appreciate the advance copy and can't wait to add the real thing to my shelf. But first... to the PHONE TREE to tell everyone to pre-order it!

This was the BEST ending to the Lovelight series, and I can not wait to get my physical copy preorder. I love love LOOOOVED Charlie and Nova. My favorite couple so far! I loved that there was no third act breakup. I love that they brought out the best in each other. I would still love for there to be more in this series but feel content.

The story we’ve been waiting for, I screamed when I was accepted for this ARC. I love Nova and Charlie. Reading about their friendship & care for each other made my heart so happy. The banter👏 the sexual tension👏 the return of the phone tree👏👏👏☎️ Also… more Beckett🫶
This was definitely the spiciest of all the books, so spicy I almost forgot the other ones were open door😂🥵 this book will also leave you wanting new ink, especially from Nova.

“I’m loud and sometimes I don’t know how to stop talking. I’m a lot and I know that. I can’t figure out how to make myself fit but I’m trying. I promise I’m trying.”
I have never felt so seen by both main characters in a romance as I did in this book. The way Nova’s migraines are depicted are so visceral, and as I person who struggles with chronic migraines, it felt so good to see it represented her. She’s just an incredible character, who has this beautiful arc and finds the missing pieces of her life. Her relationships with her siblings is also really important to her. She's afraid to show Beckett her new studio because she's worried she'll disappoint him. She is so relatable and real, and her struggles are so well written and developed.
And Charlie. MY GOD. I felt such a connection to him and how he thinks he’s too much for people. I have always felt that way and am always so self-conscious. He has so many moments that show his true personality and how he just wants a place to belong. And I CRIED. I haven’t really cried over a book in a long time, but his arc really resonated with me. Even through to the end, he doesn't understand that everyone in Inglewild wants him to be there. He's cemented his place as one of my favorite book boyfriends.
If you haven’t started this series, take this as your sign to start. It’s incredible. I couldn’t have asked for a better ending to this series.

Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley for providing a DRC of this title to review.
Business Casual is cozy and romantic, a lovely finale to the mega-popular Lovelight Farms series. New or return visitors to Inglewild, MD will find a lot to like in this one. Really looking forward to what Borison does next!

Oh my god. This may be my favorite Lovelight romance yet—the banter-y dynamic between the leads was DELICIOUS, and the themes of self-worth and belonging hit me right in the heart. This was the perfect warm, comforting romance to wrap up this series, and these characters will be living in my mind and my soul for a long time. Thank you, Borison, for creating this haven for us all!

Cute concept, and appreciative of the fact that Charlie didn't turn out to be the character I thought he was going to be. Hooray for the sweet, sensitive type.

This book was really cute! It’s also the first book I’ve read where I didn’t mind that much that the heroine was the one that did the chasing.
I really liked both the H and the h! Although, I do think I preferred the h just a tiny bit more. The H was great too, but I do wish he had spoken up more than he did about what he wanted.
The book overall was really cute and I enjoyed reading it!

Business Casual is a cozy and charming small-town romance, featuring grumpy Nova and sunshiney golden retriever Charlie. This was my first book of B.K. Borison's and I was pleasantly surprised that she made this story, one that is part of an interconnected series, feel like a standalone book. She gave just enough glimpses into the side characters for me to want to read each of their stories as well!
This book had it all: wit, charm, love, and the most delicious spice. The intimate moments between Nova and Charlie were stunning, and I appreciated that these characters both dealt with things that, for the most part, one wouldn't know just from looking at them. But, watching them break down their walls for each other--Charlie dropping the funny guy act and Nova letting go of her tough girl persona--to be gentle and understanding with each other was beautiful.
Perfect for anyone who wants a spicy small-town rom-com with a happy ending that is sure to bring tears to your eyes!

A cool finale that continued to provide the same seasonal cozy atmosphere as the previous installments. I wasn’t a huge fan of this particular relationship dynamic though, so it wasn’t bad by any means but it didn’t reach the same heights as the other novels in the series in my opinion.

This book was everything I didn’t know I needed.
Nova and Charlie are so perfect for each other it hurts. Their flirty banter had me giggling and Charlie’s obliviousness to the love that surrounds him had me sobbing more times than I liked to admit.
And, ok. Maybe I’m a little biased about this one because the migraine representation was done so well! Nova’s migraines are so comparable to mine. I never knew how touching it would be seeing my own disabilities in another character. This book was so fun and I’m so bummed to say goodbye to my family in Inglewild.

This was a super cute and easy to read book. It's the first title I have read by this author and I would definitely read their others as well!

Business Casual takes the cake in the Lovelight Farms series. Charlie and Nova had great chemistry, so much tension. The banter and personalities were perfect. I truly hope this is not the last installment of this series.

This. Book. Is. AMAZING!!! Nova is just the coolest fmc. Her style and her personality is everything! Her banter with Charlie is hilarious ! Charlie is the cutest and sweetest book boyfriend. He is so thoughtful and caring. Their chemistry was hot and intense! This book made me tear up but boy did it have me constantly laughing throughout the whole thing. The ending was just so sweet and beautiful. Nova and Charlie are definitely my new favorite couple. Highly, HIGLY recommend this book❤️

I got an ARC of Business Casual from NetGalley and am very appreciative! The Lovelight Farms series is one of my favorite. It's bittersweet to know that Nova and Charlie's story is the last, at least for now. I really enjoyed the alternative approach to a love story Borison took in this last installment of the series, and it made perfect sense for these two characters. An added plus of this 4th book is that the town and its characters are all fully developed, which supports the charm and familiarity of the series. Reading this was like stepping into something Gilmore Girls-eque in nature. I don't want to spoil anything so I won't list details, but I will say that if you like this series and Borison's writing, this is a stellar endcap to this 5-star series.

Business Casual by B.K. Borison presents a delightful blend of small-town charm and modern romance in the final installment of the Lovelight series. Protagonists Nova Porter and Charlie Milford, with their contrasting personalities and undeniable chemistry, embark on a journey of self-discovery and love amidst the backdrop of Lovelight Farms and the quirky town of Inglewild. Borison expertly weaves together various romance tropes, from opposites attract to friends to lovers, while infusing the narrative with humor, heart, and a strong sense of community. Through Nova and Charlie's evolving relationship, the novel explores themes of acceptance, resilience, and the transformative power of love. With its endearing characters, witty banter, and heartfelt romance, Business Casual is a charming escape that will leave readers smiling long after the final page.

Sweet and sparkling! Reading this book was like slipping into the most magical family vacation of my dreams.

I enjoyed this read. I did come into the book with high expectations, but, sadly, those weren’t met. I still really loved the romance, which was both parts sweet and cute, but the pacing of the story felt off. The first half was pretty quick, but, once I got to the middle, the story started to drag. Otherwise, I still found the book enjoyable. I can’t say too much more without spoiling the story, so, if you’re looking for a nice, sweet romance, then I would recommend this book.

"Did you miss me, Nova Girl?"
I think I'll need 28-72 business days to get over how special this book is to me. Nova is a character that I feel was plucked out of my very heart and soul- her black cat demeanor, her armor of sarcasm and tattoos. The imposter syndrome she battles, the struggle she faces with letting herself feel. Even down to the migraines that plague her, I saw Nova as if she were a mirror.
And CHARLIE oh my god my standard for book boyfriends has been exponentially raised. Charlie is tender and eager to please (in more ways than one 😇), a mask of humor and levity carrying him through life. It was so relatable; this feeling of wanting to be everything for everyone without leaving enough for yourself. He made me cry, he made me swoon, he made me reflect.
This book is full of hard-hitting questions, growth and vulnerability, and honest, all-consuming love. All of the best parts of a romance book.
The Lovelight Farms universe is so beautiful to me, but this book is, by far, my favorite in the series. The glimpses we got of other characters (omg Luka and Stella 😭), the perfect small-town feel, the freaking SPICE 🥵
All of it was perfect in a way not many books can be, and for that, I am grateful.
Thank you so much to Netgalley, PRH, and the amazing author for an early copy. It will now become my entire personality.

This was my first B.K. Borison book and I am immediately hooked. I loved Charlie and Nova and also loved the way that as their relationship progressed they each showed a lot of character growth.
I love the way that the book is written too. It's very fun and I love the small-town feel. My only complaint is that not having read the previous books, the beginning was a little confusing with so many characters being introduced. But other than that, I have no complaints.
