There is no series that can pull me out of a reading slump like the Lovelight series can. Read in one sitting, and I’m already craving a re-read!
I was giggling and tearing up all through this book. BK just knows how to make you feel totally immersed in the small town of Inglewild and Lovelight Farms 🌲
4.9 stars in my book, only because Caleb and Layla have my heart 💕

Business Casual tells the story of what happens if the one night stand with your pal turns into a secret, friends-with-benefits relationship: Inglewild’s version.
I genuinely didn’t think there was any way I could love this book more than Mixed Signals, but Becs proved me wrong, and I couldn’t be happier about that!
honestly, I’d written Charlie off as the fun-loving, goofy brother wrapped in a suit. I saw him exactly how he presented himself and how he wanted me to. I was not prepared for the depth and heart that is Charlie Milford.
then we have Nova Porter — a character we didn’t see a whole lot of in the previous books — and my god, is she a dynamo of a woman. I think I’m in love with her.
this book tells you it’s okay to change your mind, it’s okay to grow, and it’s okay to want. also, it is sexy. I’m talking s e x y sexy. the heat and chemistry between Charlie and Nova is magnetic. paired with their vulnerability and care, and it’s just chef’s kiss!
written so lyrically with an air of whimsicality, Business Casual is the perfect bookend to the Lovelight series.

・I’m greedy for her reactions.
・I am the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde of one-night-stand requests.
・My brain feels like it’s full of wool and whatever perfume Nova was wearing.
・I’m about to enter my farmer era. Cowboy Charlie, unlocked.
・I feel untethered, unmoored, slipping and sliding my way over my thoughts.
・“You deserve the whole cake and I’m worried you’re settling for your . . . snacks.”
・Sometimes I think I miss being known.
・Half a second, barely a touch, and my bones feel like they’re buzzing.
・“I wanted him to have the things he loves most with him wherever he goes.”
・I am cracked wide open, want spilling out and filling me to the brim.
・I am quietly devastated once again by how good-looking he is, and then annoyed that I’ve noticed.
・“Maybe we can call it business casual”
・“I would have given you anything you wanted, Nova.”
・“You look so pretty I think I’m having a heart attack”
・I am quiet and thoroughly, wonderfully undone.
・I get the distinct pleasure of watching his smile start at his eyes and slip over his face until his whole body is alive with it.
・Every time I’m with her, it’s like a vacuum of time and space until there’s nothing but her smokey laugh and her dark blond hair.
・I think she likes to remind me of how easy it was for her to bring me to my knees.
・“Wanting something doesn’t make you selfish”
・A different sort of electricity flickers between us. Like plugging in a strand of lights that’s been shoved in a box in the back of the attic only to find every bulb works. Bright and brilliant. Glowing gold.
・I try to find the root of this messy, uncomfortable pressure that sits heavy on my heart.
・"Asking for help doesn’t make you less deserving of anything you’ve already achieved on your own.”
・“I’ll stay as long as you want me to”
・It’s like stepping off the curb without realizing there’s a curb. My heart trips over itself, seeing her face light up because of me.
・The constraints we’ve wrapped around this relationship are starting to chafe.
・Even when I’m the one controlling her pleasure, I’m on my knees for her.
・He said I’m in technicolor, but tonight he’s hiding in shades of gray, none of his usual colors shining through. He’s watering himself down, for whatever reason.
・“I always notice you, Nova girl.”
・I see all of your colors. The bright ones and the dark ones too.
・a methodical undoing of every last hesitation I have.
・“I don’t think my feelings are business casual.”
・I feel like she’s slipping out of my hands. I feel like maybe I never had a grip on her to start with.
・"I want to feel all of it, and I want to feel all of it with you.”
・ It’s nothing special and everything wonderful at exactly the same time.

thank you Berkley Romance for sending me an early digital copy to review!

Rating: 4.5/5
Steam: 3.5/5
Warnings: difficult family dynamics with a parent, chronic migraines, ADHD
Tropes: black cat x golden retriever, friends to lovers, it's just a hookup, he falls first, he takes care of her when she's sick., small town
Thank you to Berkley Romance and NetGalley for this advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinion.
I simply had to take a moment to praise this absolute perfection. I stayed up until 2am, utterly captivated by this gem, and I can honestly say I have zero regrets. Becs has truly outdone herself with this writing, and I found myself enamored by the characters Nova and Charlie.
It was a joy to see this little town get their happy. Revisiting past couples and their love was heartwarming. Nova and Charlie were the epitome of a perfect pair, striking the ideal balance between spice, banter, and heart. They found their person and we knew that. Their mutual adoration for each other was palpable, and we love a black cat x golden retriever couple.
Their relationship was characterized by impeccable communication, allowing them to share their thoughts and feelings openly while fostering an environment of safety and honesty. They were so flirty with each other too and I adored that. It also led to some great steam...might be the steamiest in the series.
Moreover, this book served as a masterclass in representation, seamlessly incorporating characters with chronic migraines and ADHD without overshadowing the narrative. Nova and Charlie's journeys towards self-acceptance, grappling with the complexities of people-pleasing versus self-worth, were incredibly poignant. It was a powerful reminder that they didn't need to conform to any standards to be deserving of love and acceptance.
The tender moment when Nova gave Charlie a tattoo was nothing short of perfection, evoking real tears. And the absence of a third-act breakup was a breath of fresh air, providing a beautifully satisfying conclusion that left my heart feeling full!
In essence, this book was lovely, blending romance, authenticity, and representation flawlessly. It's a story that will linger in my heart long after the final page has been turned.

Business Casual is a compelling and entertaining story. I fell in love with the people from this town in book one. It has been a joy to see everyone else getting their happily ever after. Nova and Charlie’s story had the right amount of spice, banter and heart felt moment. Thank god for no 3rd act break up! I’m here for it.

I enjoyed this book, but I didn’t love it as much as I hoped I would. I loved all the other books in the Lovelight series, but I found I couldn’t get into this one as much. The book started out really good, but I just wasn’t a fan of the romance between Charlie and Nova, and I found myself just wanting to fast forward to the end. I know others loved this one, so it definitely just wasn’t for me. It can be read as a stand-alone, but it would be way more enjoyed as part of the series!
Thank you Netgalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

4.5 stars!!
It was so nice to be back at Lovelight Farms! I’d been anxiously waiting to read this book and it did not disappoint! I loved Charlie and Nova so much! They just fit so perfectly together. I love a black cat x golden retriever dynamic. I also just loved how they really saw each other for who they are, beyond what any other person had been able to. I loved their banter and how they progressed from friends to lovers). They also had great communication which was so refreshing to read.
I also adored seeing all of the couples from the previous Lovelight Farms book in this and it honestly just felt like a warm hug/coming home. I’m so excited for everyone to read this when it comes out !!
Thank you Berkley and Netgalley for the e-arc! <3

First, thank you for letting me read this advance copy. I have not read the previous books in this series but chose it due to reviews of the others.
I did feel a bit left out for not knowing the relationships of other characters, but was not a big problem. Will go back and read the other books. Descriptiveness of characters thoughts and actions was very well done. But, had hard time visualizing them physically., as in faces. I did enjoy the relationship build of of the main characters and their come to realization as to what love is.

Oh my gosh. Loved this one. So far Lovelight Farms has been my favorite in this series (although they are all fabulous!), but this one might be my favorite so far. Sad to see the series come to an end, but Charlie and Nova were so cute together!

Slipping back into the world of Lovelight Farms is like coming home, putting on a cozy sweater while wrapping up in a blanket with your favorite cup of tea. B. K. Borison really knows how to make compatible characters that make you smile because they just GET each other. On the outside, Charlie and Nova couldn't be more different, but their needs complement each other and make theirs a true love story. I really enjoyed how Charlie finally understood his worth and embraced becoming an official member of Inglewild.

Spicy. Sweet. Clever. The characters were lovable and relatable, the story was great, and I didn’t want it to end! Lovelight Farms is a delightful series!

This is a great conclusion to B. K. Borison's series, though I think it would probably work quite well as a standalone/first entry into the series as well. It's wonderful, as ever, to revisit characters from the first three books and to finally get to focus on Nova.

The absolute chokehold this book has on me!! I knew going in that this book was going to be everything, having already met Charlie and Nova in the previous books, I was already halfway in love with them.
Business Casual is without a doubt B.K. Borison's sexiest book yet! Charlie and Nova's chemistry is sizzling and I'm still daydreaming about how truly delicious the spice is. Their playful banter and flirty texts are equally great. I love how Charlie flirts like it's his day job! He is the very definition of a golden retriever man, though he has some hidden depths to him. I adore Nova! She is a bit closed off, and keeping people at arms length.. enter Charlie. I love a good "just once to get it out of our systems" trope. These two idiots are so obviously into each other and quickly realize that once is never going to be enough.
I devoured every single word and highlighted entire pages on my kindle! What a perfect way to say goodbye to Lovelight and these characters I love so much. We got small glimpses of all the couples, and it makes my heart so happy!

Thank you to the author, Berkley, and NetGalley for my early review copy; all opinions are my own!
Charlie and Nova's story was everything I'd hoped for and so much more. Scorching-hot sexual tension, divine banter, beautifully vulnerable emotions, this was crammed with everything I love about Becs' writing. Atmospheric and just the right amount angsty, sensual, tender, witty, Becs' storytelling threw its arms around the endearing, nosey small town's shenanigans, gave us pitch-perfect presence from previous couples in the series, and truly let Charlie and Nova breathe as characters; they felt lived in and lovable and imperfect and painfully, gorgeously real. I could go on for paragraphs more, but I'll leave it at this: this is Becs' best writing yet, a perfect conclusion to the Lovelight series, and I cannot wait for her many fans to fall in love with Charlie and Nova, too.

It feels so amazing to be back to this world! Charlie and Nova were so opposite but yet so perfect for each other. This was one of my most anticipate reads for this year and it did not disappoint.
This book really hit me (in a good way), I related to both characters so much. I'm really going to miss this world and these characters. Full review will be posted on goodreads (when I can talk about this book without tearing up)

This book was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!! My it’s now my new favourite in the series. Charlie was vulnerable, kind and extremely relatable. Nova was the grumpy in this relationship but I LOVED this take on it because it felt authentic. I loved every single thing about this book and I’m so appreciative of my ARC.
10/5⭐️

This was a cute finale to the lovelight series! I love'd getting to see our old favorites and see how they are doing and get to see this love story. This whole series is like a warm. Perfect cozy romance.

AHHHHHH
LOVE BK
THISSSSSSSSSSSSSSS WASSSSSSSSSSS SOOOOOOOOOOO FUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
I can’t get over the cover. It’s so cute

I just can't get enough of this little town! Each book is more charming than the last. I loved how these characters grew together and never felt the need to do a dramatic breakup just to realize it was a mistake. If B.K. wants to keep writing these I will happily keep reading!

In this captivating read, the author masterfully weaves a narrative that is both engaging and thought-provoking. Through a blend of richly developed characters and a meticulously crafted plot, the book offers a unique exploration of its central themes, inviting readers to immerse themselves in the story's depth and complexity. Regardless of genre, this is a work that resonates on multiple levels, affirming the enduring impact of well-crafted literature.

Sweet and steamy romcom PERFECTION!
This is literally everything I could ever want from a romcom. It’s the perfect balance of funny, quick witted banter and ooey gooey sweetness and the steam was STEAMING. Inglewood is the Stars Hollow of book towns and I would give my left tit for it to be real so I can live there. I absolutely MUST get on the phone tree.
Charlie and Nova’s story was divine intervention for my cold dead heart and I ate up every second of it!
