Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing Group. I really loved this book, the first in the series, and I can't wait to read more. I loved Charlie and Nova and their story was so cute and easy to root for them. Excited to read more from B.K. Borison and this series

I loved this book! It was my first in the Lovelight Farms series, and I’m definitely excited to go back and read the others. Charlie and Nova’s story is both sweet and spicy, with just the right balance. There's something about Charlie that’s utterly lovable! The atmosphere and small-town charm added so much warmth to the story, making it an enjoyable and heartwarming read. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC and provide feedback.

I absolutely loved this book! I have really enjoyed the whole Lovelight Farms series, but I think Charlie and Nova’s story is my favorite. There’s just something about sweet Charlie that made me love him so much! I loved the atmosphere and small town charm, and I related so much to Charlie’s struggles with ADHD. And the chemistry was so good!

The perfect end to the series!! I’ve loved Charlie since book 1, and I just loved him even more in this book. Protect Charlie at all costs!!!!! And Nova, my girl, she was perfect for him. I laughed, I cried, I swooned, I cried again knowing the series was over. What an absolutely delightful book.

a beautiful finish to a beautiful series 🩷 i have loved Lovelight since i first stepped into this world two years ago, and i recommend this series to all of my friends. it is such a heartwarming small town filled with the most amazing characters, and i find myself relating to every single one of them. having a strong support system is so important to me, and finding the joy in small things is exactly what Lovelight means to me. i’ll miss this little town 😭

Overall I really enjoyed this one! I know I'm reading out of order but this was my first book from the Love Light farms series, so I wasn't entirely sure what to expect going into it. I was pleasantly surprised! I really loved Charlie's character and his desire to belong to one place and find his place within a group of friends. I also really loved Nova and watching her open her tattoo business was super fun. I think what held me back from rating this higher was that I really only felt a physical connection between our characters and didn't feel fully emotionally invested in their relationship. But overall I really enjoyed this story!

A read that will leave you feeling warm and cozy and so happy for the entire book, Business Casual is the last (*sobs*) book in the Lovelight Farms series and follows Stella's (book 1 heroine) brother, Charlie, and Beckett's (book 2 hero) sister, Nova, as their flirting becomes a one-night-stand to ~business casual~ relationship to forever.

Charlie tries to light up every room, to bring happiness and a helping hand to all, and loves bringing that to Inglewild, the small town his half-sister lives and runs her Christmas tree farm. And that serial charmer act has not gone past Nova, banter partner and friend he knows he'd never be good enough for. But he also doesn't believe he's good enough for anyone or the town.

Nova is not immune to Charlie's charm and has to work for her scowls. As he helps her open her tattoo shop, which she is determined to succeed at to feel she deserves her family's love and support, she found herself softening to his flirting and propositions him suddenly at his sister's wedding. He makes her laugh, he's hot, and she feels wanted, but she isn't interested in a relationship or even more than one night. Neither is he, but the best laid plans...

Nova and Charlie may not intend to be more than one night for their own reasons, but as they plan the Harvest Festival since Charlie is staying in town to cover for his sister on her honeymoon, and he finds himself invited to her family dinner, they continue trying to be normal friends, but become closer than ever (in every sense). As they open up to each other, they work through their individual issues and work on what they want, including for their relationship.

I loved how respectful Charlie was. He ensured Nova took the lead and set her boundaries so he could respect them. There was insecurity as part of the reason, but he was a genuinely conscientious and empathetic individual who wanted others to feel safe.

I also loved Beckett and Nova. They were such a relatable family dynamic, wherein the unconditional love and support can make one feel they have to deserve it.

Everyone of Inglewild were sweethearts that made the story so enjoyable and the world so full. I hope Borison returns to Lovelight Farms (we still have Nova and Beckett's sisters...) because the setting is so delightful and a wonderful small town for romance (what about Alex, the romance novel reading bookstore owner? he screams for his own story).

Overall, I really enjoyed Borison's writing style and how the story felt like a couple trying to work through their romantic relationship through the whole book (instead of say, only together for one act).

Thank you to Netgalley and Berkley for an arc in exchange for an honest review!

I’m embarrassed to say that this was my first Lovelight Farms book… I immediately downloaded the audiobooks for the first three in the series from my library!! I definitely wish I would have read the others first, put I don’t feel as though you HAVE to read them in order. I was able to understand the setting and premise without having read the others.

Business Casual was so good!!! I laughed, I cried, I felt all of the feels. Nova is the perfect example of a strong, independent leading lady. She doesn’t need anyone, but that doesn’t mean she can’t want ;) Charlie is just a sweet little cinnamon roll of a man. Together their chemistry is off the charts.

I will do everything within my control to not make this about how this series transported me as a reader. But alas, this series really did/does it for me. I wanted to hold on to this last one as if it was my last visit, a trip you spend months/years fervently awaiting, tickets purchased.
I fell in love with these two main characters the same way I did with the books before: quickly and for different reasons. As always with these books, characters, settings, and their reactions, they always ring true to me and that is probably one of the main reasons I'll favorite a book/series. For that reason, this author is an auto-buy for me, and though my heart is broken for the ending of this lovely series, my bags are packed and I hungrily await the next escape.

I love reading interconnected stand alone books in different order (this is the first I’m reading, but fourth in the series). I found that I completely understood the book, but would most likely know more about the side characters had I gone in order. I’ll have to go back and catch up on their lives.

Nova and Beckett’s sibling relationship was so sweet. I loved the family aspect of this book, and hope the rest were like this too. Charlie was adorable, he was such a sweet golden retriever like character.

I did notice this was spicier than I expected based on the cover, which should possibly be a given. Overall, I highly enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read its predecessors.

The mc’s are Nova Porter, is a tattoo artist who is opening her new studio in her hometown of Inglewild, and Charlie Milford, a buttoned-up investment banker.
Despite their differences, Nova and Charlie’s end up together and the chemistry is undeniable, leading to a proposition for one steamy night together. However, their explosive connection complicates their lives in unexpected ways.
This story is both romantic and thought-provoking, you will find yourself rooting for the characters
This happened to be the forth book in this series but can be read as a standalone. I always like to read a series starting from the first book however I didn’t really know this was the four book and although I don’t know how much I missed. I feel like it didn’t matter thanks netgalley

Charlie is the perfect example of a fictional man written by a woman. I don’t know how to thank B.K. Borison enough. Nova and Charlie just bring out the best in each other. Hands down my favorite book in the series!

The Lovelight Farms series feels like you're inside a snowglobe, dreamy, romantic, and nostalgic. I am so sad to see this series over but what a way to end! Business Casual had me hooked from the beginning. There was something so captivating about both of these characters. Charlie was someone I had been rooting for from the beginning so I loved seeing him get his happy ending. I related to his desire to be everything to everyone, while also desperately needed to be cared for. Also being in love with Beckett, I loved getting to know Stella, his beloved sister, more. Stella and Charlie together had such CHEMISTRY. I was blushing! True soulmates!

What a perfect end to a perfect series!

Every book I read of B.K.’s is my new favorite, and Business Casual was no different. It was the PERFECT final installment to the Lovelight series, and while I will always hope we get to see them again in some kind of way, I thought this ending was handled so beautifully. This series has my whole heart.

Lovelight Farms has become one of my absolute favorite fictional worlds and I have truly enjoyed each and every character and each and every moment in this cozy small town with such a close knit and quirky cast of characters. I could probably read 10 more books set in this world.

Idelwild is a small town I am adding to my all time fave list. There is a phone chain that left Charlie off because they wanted to gossip about the couple and I am all there for it! At the end when he asked to be added back in, Nova told him." we are old news you are back". It was just adorable.

It is also a town with a huge extended family: Stella is Charlie's sister. Beckett is his best friend and Nova's brother. Nova is also the youngest and protected which I just love. I always wanted a family like this . It is a town that made Charlie reevaluate his life. What good is money if you are always working and dont enjoy it with the people you love?
Though the characters wanted to keep it "business casual" framed as he was working along with Nova on the Fall fesitval committee. But it grew to a true friendship to he falls first and doesn't want to admit it to himself. When Nova does a tattoo for him ( we all know it was just an excuse to spend time with her .) Charlie is touched by the meaning .

"His eyes drag up to meet mine, red rimmed but bright. Forget-me-not blue.
“I’ve never been anyone’s favorite,” he whispers.
“Well,” I say, feeling defensive. “You’re mine."

This scene had me all in my Taylor Swift loving heart feels.

If that didn't do it .. this scene did: it undid me and ranked Charlie up there with all my fave golden retrievers forever:

"Could I take your name?" he finally asks. His Adam's apple bobs in his throat with a heavy swallow. "When we get married, I mean. Could I—could I be a Porter?"
I have to take a second to breathe through the pinch in my chest.
"Is that something you want?"
He nods.

I am crying. Charlie who never knew love before Nova. Charlie who felt loved and included in her family wanted to officially be a Porter. I feel this to my bones. My ex husband , had a huge family and truth be told it was one of the reasons I fell in love with him.. his sisters. I never had a sister and just wanted them to be mine. So I feel this .

Nova our boho beautiful girl who shines in her art. Who only wants her brother to be proud of her.
I felt this hard too. It was such a tender scene between her and Beckett, who she desperately wanted everything about her shop to be perfect for him, and was so afraid it wasnt enough.
I am tearing up just thinking about that scene. I hope these characters continue to make it into BK's new books , she has a reader for life from me.
I really wish Good reads would add half and quarter stars .. this gets a 4.5 from me.

Oh omg the golden retriever that Charlie is and how Nova is the girl afraid of love and feeling like being alone is what is required to be independent…

I loved how firsts with tattoos played a big part from Nova’s relationship with her brother to Charlie and how they are so meaningful!

The phrase “Tattooed Golden Retriever” from TTPD I am convinced is what was going through BK’s mind on repeat when she wrote Charlie!

I am so sad that the trips to Lovelight Farms are over, but so happy to have read this series as I absolutely loved these stories and characters and loved how they continued to build and be visible in each of the installations. And how there was one story for each season! Such a cool idea!!!

Thank you so much to Berkley for my ARC in exchange for my honest review!

"Business Casual" by B.K. Borrison is a stunning finale to an unforgettable series. From start to finish, this book captures the essence of what makes Borrison's writing truly special.

One of the most captivating aspects of this installment is the portrayal of the "found family" theme. Borrison excels in crafting characters who feel so real that by the end of the series, they are as beloved as our own friends and family. The relationships between the characters in the entire series are portrayed with such depth and authenticity that it’s impossible not to feel invested in their journeys. The way they come together, support each other, and grow as a unit is both heartwarming and inspiring.

Charlie and Nova, despite being seemingly polar opposites, were the perfect fit for each other. Charlie’s nature and Nova’s spirit create a dynamic that is both charming and incredibly authentic. Their chemistry leaps off the page, and watching their relationship evolve was nothing short of magical.

The contrast between their personalities not only brings out the best in each other but also underscores the book’s deeper message about finding your place with those who truly understand and appreciate you. This book not only wraps up the series beautifully but also leaves a lasting impression. The tears began with a trickle and quickly turned into a waterfall while reading the conclusion. A must read and my new favorite in The Lovelight Farms series!

I was not ready to complete the Lovelight Series, but once I fell for Charlie and Nova, I realized that the ending was absolutely perfect and there could be no better way to say goodbye.

I was able to resonate so well with Nova and her need to please those close to her, AND I was SO excited for there to be some migraine representation as its not a common issue to be covered in literature. Nova is the kind of girly I would absolutely want to be my friend, but I would see her and think she was too cool to be my friend but we would end up in the women's room together and I would compliment her tattoos and THEN we would be besties. She is exactly the kind of FMC that just makes you proud to be a girls girl, and excited to read her story because you just want her to get everything she has always wanted because she truly deserves the world!!!

Falling for a goofy stud muffin like Charlie, was inevitable. I am SO proud of him and all the work he did for himself to get over the issues with his dad and truly start living for him and what makes him happy. He had to accept who he was, and start to see himself as incredible as everyone else already did.

The way these two were exact opposites but meshed so perfectly was such a delight to experience and the gang rounding up throughout the novel was incredible. Spending one last book with my favorites from Lovelight was the best way to say goodbye.

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this incredible book, it was perfect and there has only been a handful of stories as amazing as theirs to hit me so hard in the heart and make me swoon, giggle and kick my feet while cheering them on throughout the entire story!

5/5
