Loved this second chance romance from the Milwaukee Growlers series! Trey and London never got over each other after their breakup 10 years ago due to a misunderstanding. When Trey realizes that he was mistaken about what happened in the past, he sets out to win London over. The focus of the story is obviously on Trey and London - there is steam, emotional angst and some funny moments - the story also includes the relationships of their family members, which add to the story and enlighten the thoughts and behaviors of Trey and London. I loved the 10 years later epiogue which was both touching and bittersweet.

This is a very sweet slow burn second chance romance. The characters make your heart ache with their flaws and realism. This miscommunication and banter involved had me shouting and laughing at my phone at different times. I was deeply pulled in at times that I screamed a couple of times. The wrap up was wonderfully done. A great story the I definitely recommend.

What a fun reason! I really enjoyed this writing style and the story itself was really good. It captured me right away and kept me completely entertained throughout. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and enjoyed it as a pallet cleanser between my heavy fantasy books!

This was my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. I often find second chance/one that got away romances to be very hit or miss for me but I really enjoyed this one. I really liked how there wasn’t an overwhelming amount of flashbacks to when the couple were first together. The connection between the two main characters was obvious from the first moment they reconnect. I found the reason why the couple originally broke up and stayed apart to be very believable. Overall a solid 3.5 star read that I rounded up to a 4 star read.

This was my first book from this author and I'll definitely be looking for more.

Trey and London's love story spans over a decade. It's a second chance romance with a prickly hero and a heroine I really liked.

A short fling the summer before college ended badly after Trey stupidly believed lies about London. Leaving her broken hearted and me wanting to shake him. Fast forward ten years and they end up in the same place again. Awkardness abounds when they find they have to work together for a gala. Both fight their attraction, London because of hurt feelings and Trey because he's well, Trey. But once they give in he won me over.

It was a great read and I'd definitely recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It kept my attention easily! The characters were written with depth and my personal favorite humor! I look forward to reading more books by this author!

I received an advance reader copy from the publisher via NetGalley for my honest review.

If you like second chance and forced proximity, you will enjoy Catch and Release. London and Trey met 10 years ago while London was delivering mail. They hit it off and fell for one another. However, Trey, coming from a wealthy family found out some shocking news and ghosted London. 10 years later they are forced to work together for an ad campaign where truths are told and regret takes center stage.

I enjoyed the set up of this book and how they found their way back to one another. There wasn’t a huge amount of animosity, but there was maturity. It was a nice feel good story. Very Hallmark, but with spice. Also, the spice wasn’t too spicy. This is written in 3rd person POV which some transition issues where you don’t clearly know the narrator switches their pov.

4.5/5 ⭐️s

LOVES:
- The “truth serum” scene. This is where I really started to get invested in the characters.
- His teammates are great at advice
- The best friend Lucy is the coolest and I love her bluntness
- Every time they call him out on not knowing the name of a support staff person 👏

CRITIQUES:
- The dieting stuff, ack
- His terrible view of apparently all women…
- While considered a romantic gesture, flying back and forth every day is awful for the environment so I can’t fully get behind that

I received an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

London and Trey met as teenagers and had a summer fling. It was an instant connection but he walked away without a goodbye. A decade later they find their paths crossing due to their jobs. Now they have to find a way to keep things professional but their hearts didn’t get the memo.

I enjoyed this book because I am a sucker for second chance romance.
The first few chapters were a little confusing but a few chapters in it was easier. I also wasn’t a fan of the character flip in the middle of a chapter. That definitely took some getting used to.

Thank you NetGalley for the chance to read this book a little early!

For the most part I have really enjoyed reading this football romance, I have to admit that I had a hard time engaging in the beginning but I am glad I counituned with reading because I was sucked in the plot in no time. I absolutely love the charactrers and found it hard to put down.

I love sports romances but I just could not get invested in these characters. It was a combination of the writing style and the characters themselves. Wasn’t a lot to draw the reader in.

Thanks Net Galley and the publisher for the ARc in exchange for an honest review.

DNF at 20% - romances with third person POV are so hard for me to read. I had a hard time connecting with the characters because of this writing style. I would’ve preferred dual pov and past/present chapters. We found out the (short) history between London and Trey and I just don’t feel invested in them getting back together? I’m not seeing the angst or how they had this crazy connection from 3 weeks together 10 years ago.

Thank you to NetGalley and Sun Home Productions for the early ARC for this book.
Tropes include sports romance, second chance romance, and miscommunication. Mildly steamy.
Trey is a professional football player who notoriously doesn't believe in love. He runs away from his feelings and ends up letting his first real love, London, go. Years later, London and Trey find themselves forced to work together.
Neither character has had a great example of positive relationships, hindering their expectations of love. Neither feel like they deserve it, nor can sustain it.
As the book goes on, London and Trey deal with familial issues, communication issues, and self doubt. The author makes us question if the sacrifice of reaching our goals is worth it. Does reaching the peak matter if you don't have anyone to share it with? This book explores what is important in life. Life is short and to be surrounded by the people who lift you up and fill your
cup is what really matters.
I love sports romances and secondchance. While I enjoyed this read, it wasn't anything I haven't read before.

Wow what a beautiful love story! This is the story of Trey and London, they had a fling the summer before college that ended badly due to outside noise making Trey believe lies about London.
Trey never believed in love he thought his family was cursed so when someone told him a lie about London he was quick to believe it. He ran off to college without warning leaving her heartbroken with no idea why disappeared. Fast forward 10 years and the find themselves face to face and find out they will have to work together on a gala. Trey and London fought internally against their love and thought they could keep things casual. Well we all know how that ends!
I really enjoyed this book it was the first book I have read by this author but I will definitely be reading more!

I liked the story and dynamic between the main characters. I was not a fan of the author's writing style. The points of views of the character changed midway through the chapters. There was no separation in between the pages that said who's point of view it was. The pace of book was slow at times and then was fast at the end of the book.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Sun Home Productions for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is a second chance romance and a sports romance. Trey Van Horn is a quarterback and London is a PR person. I liked the characters, although there are a lot of family/friends to remember. The ending felt sort of rushed. I also think there was to long a gap for the epilogue-its 10 years down the road-and not a great recap. I still enjoyed it. 3.5 stars

Trey and London first met when she was 18 and he was a bit older. They fell fast and hard for each other, but circumstances and misunderstandings ripped them apart. Catch and Release follows the story of how they reconnect and fall back in love with each other. Trey has become the most successful quarterback in the league and London's star is rising in the advertising/marketing world. Both think they don't have time for each other or the capacity to fall in love, but they were wrong. This book is well written and keeps you interested from start to finish. I really enjoyed it and give it an enthusiastic five stars. Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy.

A nice read!

A second-chance sports romance, this was written beautifully, it developed smoothly featuring two charming characters, plus a lot of friends and family that added loveliness to the whole mix.

I loved the steamy moments, how the anticipation was built and how beautiful Trey and London were together. Though I couldn't connect much with them the story was nice and great for a few hours read.

I got a copy of this in order to share my view on it
