Midnight Ruin by Katee Robert is an absolute delight! Returning to this series always feels like coming home, with each installment offering a deeper dive into the intricacies of the characters. The spice factor in this book was off the charts, but let's be honest, a Katee Robert novel wouldn't be complete without her incredible blend of sensuality that keeps you utterly captivated.
The characters in Midnight Ruin stole my heart, and the dynamics of their relationships were simply superb. Katee Robert has a magical way of weaving emotions into her storytelling, making it an enchanting experience. It's not just a book; it's an emotional journey that you can't help but savor. If you're a fan of her work, this one is a must-read. Midnight Ruin has solidified its place as a cherished addition to the series, leaving me eagerly anticipating the next chapter in this enchanting world.

Thank you NetGalley for this ALC.
It was exciting to see this ALC available on 1/16 when audible said the audio version was not going to be available on 1/30, but that seems to have since been rectified. I will note that I will update this review with a link to the podcast review when that goes live on 1/29.
This was a cute book and stronger then Cruel Seduction. Where I didn't feel like the plot was there for Cruel Seduction and that focused more on the relationship, this one there's a lot of plot that ties into what we've been building on with Wicked Beauty and Radiant Sin. This book felt like you didn't need Cruel Seduction to be honest, but was still necessary to read as a whole from the Dark Olympus series, but should not be read as a stand alone. It was great to see some familiar faces back, including Hades and Persephone! More of them please! Always!
The narrators were good and the same ones as usual. If you're going to do the audio, I wouldn't read the back-to-back to not confuse the characters, but Katee always does a good job of reminding us of what's going on and catching up.
Per usual, it's not a Katee book without the spice.
Looking forward to the next installment of what's to come in this series that will be out later this summer!

I enjoyed this book, it probably being one of my favorites in this series! I have always read the books either with a physical copy or ebook and I’m not sure why I didn’t think about the accent but was surprised and delighted when my audiobook started and they had British accents! The narrators kept a great pace and truly brought the story to life with their emotional read - I loved the relationship between the three and the spice was top notch as well! This is one I would definitely recommend and read again!

I feel like we've been waiting for so many books to see Charon and Eurydice get together, and their book is finally here! We've seen them grow closer through many of the prior books in the series, so having them get together romantically was so gratifying. I'll admit I was a little skeptical of the promos touting "puppy play", but this truly was about penance and forgiveness (with a level of kinky spice I've come to know and love from Katee Robert). We also see the continued political machinations of the Thirteen trying to figure out what Minos and Co are up to, but this time from the perspective of the lower city. I'm excited to see where the next installment takes us!
I've read all the other books in either e-book or physical form, and this was the first one I've listened to as an audiobook - it did not disappoint! The narrators did a great job keeping the pace of the novel, and the narrator who voiced both Charon and Orpheus used distinct voices for each so it was never a question what was going on, even listening at 1.5x speed like I normally do. My one gripe is that the narrator who voiced Eurydice pronounced Charon as "care-on" (which is how I always read it in my head), but the other narrator pronounced it "Karen" so I did occasionally question who the heck Karen is during certain scenes from Orpheus's perspective.

Midnight Ruin

Narrators Zara Hampton-Brown and Alex Moorcock
Wow. Spicy! I hadn't read any other books in the series but could follow along easily. I would check the trigger warnings before reading, this type of "romance" is not for everyone. All in all a good book and I still want to read the rest of the series. I also liked the narrators, they did a great job. Good tone and cadence.

I really enjoyed this ALC, the voices really matched the characters and i fell in love with this book! Katee Robert is autobuy author for me!!! I'll definitely gonna be buying the audiobook and paperback!

I'm glad this series is finally getting back on track. I enjoyed the first few books, but then the last couple just didn't do it for me. Love me a reverse harem, and these two men were just so stinking sweet, and I loved the way they all supported each other. The voice actors for these books are always enjoyable to listen to.

It’s no secret that this is a Katee Robert stan account. I will read her grocery list if she let me. I am awed by her knowledge of Greek mythology and her imagination that lets her twist and change that world into books like this. And this one didn’t seem any different.
Ok so this wasn’t really like my number one fave in the series, but I was still sucked into this book because I don’t think I’ve ever seen Hades (yes I know this was not a book about him lmao) that soft with anyone. I loved how he was with his family. So yes, I was most definitely freaking yelling when I found out what was happening and how we were learning about this through the eyes of his second. I was so mad at the people doing this… And I didn’t even know who it was. Idk why someone trying to hurt Hades made me so mad lol I think it had more to do with the family man he was trying to be. Idk, he seems mean, but fair.
Also this set up the next book nicely. I was already biting my nails when they were talking about the Minotaur and Ariadne. The real myth between the two was really different, so I can’t wait to see what Robert does with this. It seems weird because in this book is seems that he is really mean, but for them to maybe end up together? I can’t wait to see what happens.
Now for the romance in this one, it is definitely spicy. (I meannnnn, it’s Katee we’re talking about.) It’s a closed polyamorous relationship. I thought it would feel weird since they were just getting together and one part of the couple seemed to be insta-lovey, but while reading it it really like made me see that he was happy with him being there because she was happy. And that seemed to be the most important for the both of them. And anyone who put their person ahead of everything else just screams the one! (Or two lol) I thought they seemed happy together and was glad they were all happy in the end.
I DID have an issue with the plot in this one. Was the Hades drama the side plot and their romance the main thing? I thought it was the other way around, but because there’s so many POVs, it was hard to tell what’s the bit we should be focusing on with the spice and all. I wanted more of the Hades drama and more of what happened at the ending. I guess I wanted more stuff happening to balance out the spices.
Nevertheless I did still enjoy this and I can’t wait for the next one. I hate that this is going to be the finale. I’m already wrapping my head around the fact that it’s almost over! I don’t want it to be over! I hope that Robert has some ideas for the sea since she’s written Triton and Poseidon now….. Please, please, please take us to the ocean!

I have purchased and read about 5 of Katee Robert's books, and I have ready 3 of the Dark Olympus books, plus the novella. I really loved Neon Gods, the first book in this series. At the time that I read Neon Gods, this sub-genre of romance (the greek mythology / romance sub-genre) was new to me. Now that I have read books 1-3 and then having taken a break for books 4 and 5, I was excited to have the opportunity to listen to the audiobook version of book 6. Audiobooks are new to me, so I am still getting used to the flow of them. I feel like having skipped book 4 and 5, I missed out on Eurydice and Orpheus' back story. (Spoiler Alert: It is mentioned a few times throughout the book that Orpheus had betrayed Eurydice and she fled to the lower city). I assume this is covered in more detail in book 5? I feel like the first 65-70% of this book, nothing really happens besides the spicy scenes. The plot finally starts to move along with some action around the 70% mark and that is when I started to really enjoy the story and plot. I LOVE a good spicy book, and this book is SPICY, so definitely read about the tropes and trigger warnings before reading.

Another steamy addition to the Neon Gods series! The MC’s have compelling history that also helps drive the overarching plot along. Definitely recommend!

As a Dark Olympus series lover, I was so excited for the next book in this series, especially to learn more about Eurydice! I really did enjoy this continuation and the relationship in this story but unfortunately it fell a little flat for me compared to the other books in the series that I completely devoured. Don't get me wrong it was still a good read and I'm obviously continuing with the series but this one didn't hit the high mark I have from past books in this series. Specifically, I was looking for a bit more relationship development between the trio and the pairs as well and the plot behind the romance didn't seem to move along very much throughout the book. I'm still very much looking forward to the next in this series and definitely still recommend if you're a Dark Olympus fan!

This installment of Olympus follow Euridice, Charon, and Orpheus. I really enjoyed the dynamic between the three of them, and the slow rebuilding of trust between Euridice and Orpheus. Love that this started out hot and heavy right from the beginning, but also propelled the overall plot and issues of Olympus as a whole along with it. Great balance of spice and plot. As ever, Katee is a master.
The audiobook was really well done, and made the story even more immersive. Highly recommend! Though, you may want to turn the volume down a smidge when in traffic ;-)

Loved this super spicy retelling! The narrator’s did a great job of expressing the characters passion. I love that this series focuses on different characters, but you can also read them as a stand alone if you want to.

The book was well paced and the narration was epic. The characters were well penned down and each were given sufficient scope to contribute to the plotline as a whole. This was my first read fromthe author's work and i absolutely love it.

This might be my favorite Katee Robert book ever! Eurydice, Orpheus, and Charon tugged at my heartstrings while also being unfairly hot. The MMF romance was amazing. Just one of those "ugh, so good" moments I wish I could come across more often. The dynamic between them was so satisfying. Orpheus in particular was a character I could really relate to. This book was a good blend of character development, spice, and action. Highly recommend.

I was approved for this audio the day of the traditional release, which was surprising since this audio was listed as available Jan 3oth. I am very pleased I was able to read this in tandem with a physical copy.
The narrators are excellent. They are able to do all the voices well and I was not taken out of the story by their pronunciation or tone. They were able to communicate the vulnerability and control that the characters are working through very well.
The story itself was fine. The spice is lovely as all Katee spice is. I was more interested in the story and overarching plot than I was with these 3 characters. This also could have been a novella, as the actual plot points are few and far between.
The story was a bit too similar to the wicked villains hades, herc, and megara story line for my taste.
Overall, very fun, would recommend.

The drama... the angst.... the GROVELING!
I was a huge fan of seeing this Dark Olympus series continue with Eurydice, Charon and Orpheus. The build up to this was a long time coming, and whew! The wait was worth it!
This woman has been through so much, and the dynamic of intensity that the overall city is encountering - combined with their own personal developments all seem to come to a head as one. The circumstances that find this trio together provides the readers with a scorching encounter of unique kinks that will leave you dying for more!
This spicy drama series has me reeling to learn what comes next in Ariadne and the Minotaur's story!
Read if you love:
-MMF / LGBT+ representation
-Greek Mythology/ Retellings
-Spicy Romance
-Puppy Play + Groveling
-Redemption ARCS
-City in turmoil
Full disclaimer: This was not my favorite book of the series by far. There are certain things that the author advertised on insta that simply felt a little lacking, and I wish we would have seen more of (hence the dying for more comment above). Also - please check your trigger warnings. Abortion is a topic discussed in this book, and may be triggering for some readers. It was for me, and I felt this should have been warned beforehand.
Overall, I did ultimately really enjoy the continuation of this series - and can't wait to see what comes next!
3.5 Stars for me

4/5⭐
Eurydice just wants to move on from the breakup that destroyed her heart a year ago but she just isn't over her ex boyfriend Orpheus . Before she begins a new relationship with Charon, she needs closure from Orpheus. Things take a different course and the three end up in a trio of lust. Can this relationship work? Listen to find out!
This book is
-spicy
-kinky
-multiple pov
-mmf
-queer
The only criticism I have for the audiobook is that it isn't a duet style and it would have been just a little bit better if it was.

Thank you to Sourcebooks Cascablanca and Dreamscape Media for providing me with an arc to read and review.
I love Katee Robert and I love the dark olympus series so I was excited to get advanced copies of book 6 in the series. This is a couple I have been waiting for as it is Eurydice, Charon, and Orpheus with so much groveling and redemption. While this series started out as interconnected standalones at this point I do personally feel it should be read in order as there is a lot of plot going on as well as the romance. I love that and I really can’t wait to see how it continues but it is something to be aware of.
Eurydice has always been the baby sister and she wants to be able to step out of that role and into who she truly is which she hasn’t been able to do yet. But after what happened with Orpheus she wants to do something to help Olympus and give herself a purpose. Orpheus has been lost in the wind since what happened with Eurydice, he has been cut off from his brother’s money, lost his friends, lost his art, and lost the woman he loved. He wants to at least apologize and show how much guilt he feels about what happened to her and he is willing to do this however she wants. Charon never expected to fall for his boss’s sister-in-law but here he is and he is willing to do anything to show how much he cares for her even if that means reaching out to the man who hurt her in the first place.
I thought book 5 was messy… nooo this is so wonderfully messy. We see Orpheus and Eurydice deal with what happened in Neon Gods finally and they both have a lot to process from that and understand. We then add in Charon who is head over heels for Eurydice but also feels a lot for Orpheus even though he thought he would hate him. All three of them grow so much to get to the point of forgiveness and understanding and figuring out how to make this relationship work.
I can’t wait to see what happens going forward as we are starting to see all the pieces come together and it is gonna be epic. I recommend this series if you want a series of interconnected books that don’t end with massive cliffhangers but do continue a central plot with spicy romance and Greek mythology inspiration.
I really liked the audiobook and the narrators Zara Hampton-brown and Alex Moorcock were amazing. I switched back and forth between an ebook, the audio, and a physical but the audio got me really invested and the narrators were engaging.
