I really enjoy this book. Love a good sport romance and my 1st hockey. I love the development between the characters and how they start off. He knew what she was worth after what she been through. I will definitely want to dive more into Tessa Bailey books.

What Tessa Bailey does best! This is a cute romance with a side of hockey. Expect great banter and Tessa's signature spice, which means a lot of dirty talk.

I'm a big fan of Tessa Bailey's writing and when you throw in hockey it makes me want to read it immediately! Not to mention the single dad and age gap tropes make this such a great read! He falls first and and falls hard and not to mention the groveling! The banter was quite a plus as well. I absolutely love a romance book with some great banter! I loved how much character development there was between Tallulah and Burgess not only together but also for themselves. This was such a great book and I can't wait to read the rest in the series! Thank you so much for this ARC!

I received this book for free for an honest review from netgalley. The baby one of my favorite authors and while I don't like sports romance very much this one definitely get my attention.

I loved this grumpy hockey player too much! I love the characters and the spice didn't overpower the plot.

Alas, I don't know if Tessa Bailey's books are for me. I know the patrons at my library love her books, but I don't end up enjoying myself like they do.

As an au pair myself, I couldn’t resist picking this one up. It was a bit funny to read from that perspective, especially since the main character is more of a live-in nanny, but I get that the title is just playful.
Tessa Bailey always delivers fun, flirty romances, and this one was no exception. It was light, charming, and exactly the kind of feel good story I needed !!
A quick, swoony read that doesn’t take itself too seriously, just the kind of escape I love!

This is everything you'd expect from Tessa Bailey. Funny, light hearted, spicy and easy reading. Not my personal favorite but a fun read.

Loved this one even more than the first! Their love and growth for and with eachother was emotional, raw, and so very heart warming.
I would love to see a scene of the journalist at the end getting his big break, that was a fun way to end.
The connection and banter between Sig and Chloe in this made me even more excited to get to the next book!

If it's by Tessa Bailey, I am going to read it. I enjoy her stories, her characters, and her writing style.
Tallulah and Burgess are a couple that shouldn't work, and Burgess is convinced that they won't, for...reasons. But what does work is the connection they have and the attraction to one another.
There were other things happening in the story, and other people involved as well, but it all worked pretty well for me. There was one plot line that I found to be a little extraneous, partly as I am not sure I totally believed it from the way it was built up.
It wasn't enough to pull me from the story, as it was mostly used to prolong the tension between the main characters, but it didn't totally work for me either.
Overall, I enjoyed and recommend this title.

Tessa Bailey is one of my favorite contemporary authors. This one missed the mark for me. I'm not sure what it was, but I just wasn't as drawn into it as with some of her others. Overall, though, it was sweet and sexy and that's all you can really ask for.

Age gap, hockey and nanny and written by Tessa - sign me up. I loved all the tropes in this story -
╰┈➤ Professional hockey star x Nanny
╰┈➤ Grumpy/Sunshine
╰┈➤ Age gap (he’s 37, she’s 26)
╰┈➤ He’s protective
╰┈➤ Roommates
I thought the banter between these two were so hot.

I am not the biggest fan of a nanny romance, but this one was done in a different type of way, which I enjoyed. I liked it, but there was something missing in it for me. I was more interested in Sig and Chloe and they were only side characters.

I was so excited to receive an ARC of The Au Pair Affair. I absolutely love Tessa Bailey, and loved the first book in this series, which is why it pains me to say that I found this book to be just ok. I liked the main character, Tallulah because she was smart and interesting, and based on my usual preferences, I should have loved the love interest, Burgess, but something about their chemistry was off for me, and I found his possessive protectiveness annoying instead of sexy. Tessa Bailey is usually so good at weaving good, steamy romance with a strong character driven plot, but this one missed the mark for me there. I wanted to see more of Tallulah actually nannying and seeing their relationship grow from that, but it felt like they were already in love at the start of the book and it didn’t feel real or progress throughout the story. The spicy scenes were spicy, but would have been more effective if I was invested more deeply in their relationship. Overall, this was an easy read, but I’ve come to expect more from Tessa Bailey books and this one fell a little flat for me.

I haven’t met a Tessa Bailey romance that I haven’t loved yet - and add in the fact that this was a hockey romance - and I pretty much loved Tallulah and Burgess right from the very beginning.
One of my absolute favorite parts of this romance was Burgess’s journey as an aging hockey star. At the ripe old age of 37, Burgess no longer felt like he was at peak performance on the ice and his rookie teammates were a constant reminder of that. Burgess was grumpy, feeling like his best days of hockey stardom and wedded bliss were behind him. It was all he could do to keep up with his younger teammates on the ice and give his daughter the love and attention she needed at home.
Enter Tallulah. Often alone by choice, Tallulah took the au pair position as a means to get by; getting to spend time with Lissa was just a bonus. And growing closer to Lissa’s burly and surly father? He was as unplanned as Tallulah’s planting roots in Boston.
I loved this age gap romance, even though I had to keep reminding myself that Burgess wasn’t that old; some of the comments he made about himself made me picture him a lot older than his 30s. Burgess and Tallulah’s growing relationship was sweet and spicy, and I loved how Tallulah fit into Burgess and Lissa’s lives. The writing was standard Tessa Bailey: it was easy to escape into and easy to picture each scene as it unfolded. I would’ve loved more time on the ice with Burgess, but it was fun to see Tallulah falling in love with the game as she was falling in love with Burgess. The Au Pair Affair was a perfect combination of age gap and hockey romance, paired with the easy-to-love writing of Tessa Bailey.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book! The title and this beautiful cover drew me in and i was excited to read this book! I will be recommending this book to others for readers advisory.

Many thanks to Netgalley and Avon and Harper Voyager | Avon for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I like Tessa Bailey and for the most part like her romances. Some can be a hit or miss for me. I have to say her spiciness makes me blush though.
If you are in to sports romance, grumpy/sunshine, age gap, and forced proximity this is up your alley.

I was interested in this book but once I started reading it it just reminded me of The Nanny by Lana Ferguson. It wasn't my favorite romance, but it was fine. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC!

I read this book because I liked Fan Girl Down and I was curious about the two characters in the next book. Who doesn’t love a single dad story, right? This one was not my favorite of the two books, but I still enjoyed it.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. DNF at 30%, weird relationship. Not for me.
