A silly book about a crocodile that skips breakfast and becomes delusional with hunger. Luckily they have a friend that looks out for them! This was a fun read, but went a little above my (4 year-old) son's head; I had to explain a lot of the context for the humor. He still enjoyed it and asked to read it again as soon as we finished.

A Crocodile Should Never Skip Breakfast is an adorable book about the importance of breakfast. The illustrations were colorful and showcased many types of animals. I think children will really enjoy this story!

Such a cute read! A fun story about the importance of eating breakfast. My 3 year old loved all the colorful pictures and sat until the end. She had a blast pointing out the different animals and naming them for me!

My son loves alligators so this book was perfect. My kids laughed and loved the illustrations. A great story to show how important Breakfast is for everyone, especially kids!

I read this to my kids for nap time storytelling and they loved it! We will definitely be ordering it to put on our shelves at home.

Cute! The kids in my Storytime group are 2-5 so I don't think this book would necessarily mesh with that age group, but an older kid could be really into it! The wording felt awkward in some parts, specifically when the hippo said "Time enough for that." I could see kids struggling with comprehension and asking for help (which isn't always a bad thing!) I'm always looking for more silly books and this could be a good one, just not for my younger group. I think the jokes would either make them sad or just go right over their heads. I loved the art and the personality!

Oh goodness, did this book make my 5 and 3 yesr old laugh! They loved how the croc imagined all the animals as doughnuts. “Oh no Croc, don't eat your passangers!”
A quick little, silly story that I think all kids would enjoy. Adorable pictures and lots of animals, make it a big hit!

A delightful and fun read. I love the story and the build up to the climax. The art is great and compliments the story. The part where Croc dreams of eating some animals are a bit dark for me (and for younger kids). Overall, highly recommended and very enjoyable book for all ages.

Clever. There is a high level of creativity within this book. From crocodile's occupation to enjoying donuts so much he is the "customer of the month" to how the day is saved for everyone... both the story & illustrations are full of life.

Even adults skip breakfast, knowing it's not ideal. So I was naturally intrigued by the title. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint.

A Crocodile Should Never Skip Breakfast has a great concept that relies on its illustrations for execution. Unfortunately, I don't feel that the pictures themselves are up to the task, and the text which is attempting to be playful is insufficient for supporting the story's humor for young readers.

Have you ever skipped breakfast because you were running late? I know I have, though luckily, I am not a crocodile.

When Crocodile is running late for work, he skips breakfast and intends to grab a donut on the way — but the donuts are sold out! With no time to find something else, Croc must go straight to work. This wouldn’t be such a problem except he works as a ferry, ferrying animals back and forth across the river on his back. You can probably see how this might become problematic…

I thought that this was a cute book with a story that is easy for young children to follow, though I do feel like I’ve read books with similar plots (though I can’t think of them, so maybe it just feels that way). It had bold and colorful illustrations that contributed well to the story, and the text used a narrator that talked directly to the reader at times, which ended up being my favorite part. It also left great potential for a follow-up book, which I hope to see.

Overall, this was a fun book and would be a great book to read to a reluctant young breakfast eater.

My son loved this! It was so funny. We were expecting the chomp from the crocodile. Loved the whole aspect of the story. Can’t wait to read more from this author.

The illustrations in this book are fantastic and the plot is fun. A Crocodile skips breakfast and all the issues that arise. In the end, his friend pulls through and there is a happy ending. I feel this book is a real-life copy of my life when I skip breakfast.

A crocodile is in a rush to get to work, skips out on breakfast. His emergency snack to curb hunger was a rotten banana in their bag (hilarious, us adults can totally relate to the neglected snack that we carry back and forth). This creates a hard work day with the crocodile as they get hungrier and hungrier it’s getting harder to think about donuts when they continually help transport animals. Delicious looking animal friends. Thank heavens, the Hippo comes to deliver the much needed donuts just in the nick of time!

Loved the sprinkle pages and the page with the crocodiles crazy eyes! Book is great as a friendly reminder that breakfast is an important meal for kids.

I think it’s really cool that the author wrote the story AND drew the pages. Well done! Great illustrations!

The thought bubbles with the animals being prepared as food might play a bit morbid to younger kids like toddlers.
