This was a fun, interactive book about a human scientist observing an alien (Floof) who comes to earth for the first time and decides to explore! Floof was very cute, and my son and I were giggling at parts of the book. Some of the interactive elements were difficult to do on a ebook (i.e. flipping the page back and forth quickly), but we loved this so much that I will probably be purchasing the physical book when it comes out! Release date is June 4, 2024.

This is an adorable children's book! I love how it is written in second person, as I often struggle to find well written children's books with this point of view. I love sharing interactive books like this with my first grade students and they had a fun time with this one!

“I WANNA HUG THE FLOOF!”
What a cute little story! I love books that are interactive and let parents and kids do an action together. And the Floof is such an adorable little creature, the kids loved when he poofed and thinking of ideas on how to de-poof him. It also uses and explains words like “hypothesis”, which was nice plus for my preschooler.
I could see this book being a huge hit at a school or library story time.

Your search for the next best interactive read, complete with aliens, is over! This was a hilarious and consistently interactive book that will be great to read during storytime. Complete with colorful and engaging illustrations, Floof will have kids giggling for days and wanting to read it again and again!

Readers of "Greetings, Floof" witness the arrival of a fluffy alien and the efforts of a scientist and bystanders to welcome them. The text has the (black, female) scientist inviting the reader to join in the friendly overtures, themselves a series of almost-experimental interactions and solutions to arising events.
The text is well done, with language that is comfortable for young children that allows it to offer instances of challenge. The interactive moments can be slightly awkward but this is typical of the genre.
The whole book is an invitation to young readers to welcome new, different folks, and normalizes deliberate effort to find ways to meet folks where they are even when it is strange to us.

A fun adventure for all little ones. When little alien Floof lands on Earth Dr Greta Goodnote helps us to learn to communicate with him. This was an adorable interactive story that gets little ones involved in the adventure. We end up being silly and having fun as we help the little alien from blowing away clouds and shaking the book to fluff his fur while your little one gets to become part of the story. I love the interaction and how fun and creative this story is. Bright illustrations and a cute little alien make this the perfect book for your active one to get their wiggles out and help little Floof. This would be absolutely perfect for an Early Childhood classroom. We love it and are so thankful for this ARC, we will be buying it to add to our home library because it has fast become a daily read for us. Enjoy your little adventure.

While I do not anticipate using it in storytime, this pairs well with songs like Zoom, Zoom, Zoom, We're Going to the Moon, and Open Shut Them in teaching process and opposites. Very cute illustrations, with some contrast. I wish the text was slightly larger to be able to point to while reading.

So adorable and unexpectedly interactive! The art is pretty, the story easy for a child to understand, and has a cute ending.

I requested this one on title alone. I do so love a floof. And even better, this one is interactive! It’s narrated by a scientist, who is studying Floof, from planet Ploof. There are all kinds of instructions for readers - point out the fuzzy animals, blow the clouds away, de-poof Floof when he gets wet and puffy…it’s adorable. It’s really similar to the Who’s in Your Book series, without feeling identical (although I probably wouldn’t pair this with one of those in the same storytime). This would make a nice companion to We are Definitely Human for Space Week in October!

Here comes the Floof! Follow Dr. Greta Goodnote as she helps the alien Floofian make friends on Earth. From getting drenched by the rain to getting kisses, this fluffy creature is ready to have some fun before they return home to their planet. Absolutely adorable and on every page. Bright colors pop, and there are smiles galore as one Floof ventures to Earth one sunny day. It's definitely a new favorite.

A cute, interactive book for kids about Floof, the Ploofian alien! He comes to the planet, and kids have to help ploof out by doing a couple different activities. I liked that this one got kids involved!

Seriously cute. What would a scientist do if a floof comes to visit our planet? Hopefully, like this scientist, the floor will get friendliness and help.
Young readers will enjoy this little book, and it would be fun to talk about what the floof is thinking and what the scientist and floof could say to each other if they spoke the same language.
