This is book on the very regular thing that we all can relate to in our daily lives. We so usually call us unlucky for not getting things done but here author put it as a humor and to lighten mood to understand that it could be something one could take it easily..
Here are stories of a boy Quin who find himself in such very situations every single time. Be it on adventure or daily chores. I like the way stories have been described in form with pictures.

Loved the Snark, loved the graphic novel comic style of illustrations. Quinn may be unlucky, but he’s an unlucky kid with heart.

We follow this kid who always seems to end up in unlucky sitions. Everyone in his family knows how unlucky he is and tells him to avoid things that could potentially hurt him. Even though he might go flying in the air on more than one occasion he always seems to be fine in the end. This is a great book for younger kids. It's fun to read and has some laughs and kids would definitely enjoy it.

I would like to thank the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this eBook.

The Unlucky Kid by Bob Holt is a cute little book. Kids will find it hilarious. I found myself chuckling a couple of times,

What a dissapointment. You don't get to know anything about the main character expect the fact that he is unlucky. There is no character progression or development. No conflict to be solved. This isn't a book with a story in it. It's a book featuring clowny cartoonish skits with deadpan humor. I doubt this would be interesting for most. Sorry Bob.. This ain't it

What a fun comic book type of children's book! An easy and entertaining read that will keep your kiddo entertained from start to finish. The graphics are funky and fun as well. The graphic and writing also make you chuckle. The book has a couple of chapters with some fun story-telling throughout. Quin is such a kind hearted boy with what seems like the worst luck but one can tell he is loved and explorative of the outside world, which many if not all children can relate to. Highly recommend this story to children, fun read.

In a style reminiscent of David Shannon's No! David, Holt's Quin is possibly the most unlucky kid. In his first adventure he sets off for the beach only to wind up being hit by a massive rogue wave after escaping a hoard of hungry sea gulls whom he innocently feeds some of his biggie fries. In the second adventure Quin has a loose tooth that requires, in his opinion, an elaborate plan to have it yanked out only for that to backfire. In the final adventure, Quin goes fishing and winds up with a black eye after an airborne adventure.

This was a very cute book with some fun artwork and some fun stories. My challenge was that it went a little bit madly off in all directions and that got a bit hard to follow, especially around the loose tooth. I think this would be a good early read for a younger elementary school student who is taking on graphic novels and less likely to read something with a lot of text. I'm not sure about a read along, because I always found anything that was more like a comic or graphic novel very hard to read aloud to my kid and read alongs are often the same.

Not sure that this would appeal to an older elementary schooler, so it's a very tight window.

The artwork was fun. The cat was by far my favourite character. And I probably enjoyed the beach story the best because of the seagulls. They made it for me!

"The Unlucky Kid by Bob Holt is a riotous graphic novel that follows the misadventures of Quin, a boy who can't seem to catch a break. From being pursued by seagulls with a peculiar craving to unconventional tooth-pulling methods, the humor is relentless. The nonstop action and deadpan humor from Quin's cat make it a fun read for graphic novel enthusiasts, however, while the book offers plenty of laughs and endearing moments, it feels slightly lacking in depth.

I loved the short story format. This will appeal to many reluctant readers. The pictures, content and format lend well to kids who need quick stories. The storries are fun.

This is a very cute picture book basically answering the question "What's the worst that could happen?" Quin doesn't want much. He wants to go fishing, spend a day at the beach, enjoy some corn on the cob. But simple things turn into wild adventures for our plucky hero! This book is a lot of fun.
Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this
