Freida’s books are my favorite. I really enjoy her writing. I never knew what to expect everytime I turned the page! It really sucked me in, I couldn’t put it down. The twist at the end was so good! If you haven’t read Freida’s book, you must! You won’t want to put them down! Thank you Freida, NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for the ARC!

Another amazing read from Freida! Every time I thought I was on to the twist, she’d throw something in there to make me think again. This one left me guessing until the end.

I have always loved how fast paced Frieda’s books are! They are easy to understand/follow, have crazy twists that I never see coming, and make me reconsider all my previous guessing. And One by One did not disappoint!

While it is a wildly entertaining book, it wasn’t my favorite by Freida and one that I likely won’t reread. It felt a little drawn out and the suspense that was built wasn’t that engaging. I feel like it could have been a little shorter!

For a Frieda McFadden book, it wasn’t my favorite but still enjoyable enough!

I am a new fan of McFadden and I have been quickly working my way through her backlist. This book did not disappoint. It was full of twists and turns and while I'm fairly good at guessing the big reveal, this one took me by surprise. I had a really hard time putting this one down.

If you are a fan of mysteries and thrillers, I would definitely check this one out. Many thanks to Poisoned Pen Press and NetGalley for providing an ARC for review.

I always enjoy Frieda’s books. They are quick reads that pull you in right away. Although they usually leave me feeling like something got left out or that I missed something. This one did that as well but I still enjoyed it. It was a textbook thriller: trust issues, marriage troubles, infidelity, murder, and an unexpected 3 day hike in the woods. It had Frieda’s classic twist in the end while the last page leaves us again wondering how the story will end after the words are done. I like when a thriller continues to make me think after the fact.

Thank you NetGalley for giving me a free copy of One by One in exchange for review.

I love a good Freida book and this one may be one of her older ones but it was a great easy read. This was not one of her twistier ones but I still did not completely guess the ending. If you love suspense, an easy read, and a little murder then this one is for you.

Thanks to NetGalley and Poison Pen Press for a copy of this book!

Frieda McFadden books tend to be quick and easy to digest thrillers, this book was no exception. What’s interesting is I rarely see this one talked about on Book Tok or up there as one of her better books.

I applaud this because I didn’t see the twist coming (not completely). I was sure I had figured out who anonymous was (two different times) and was dead wrong!

I felt like the writing was simple and easy to understand which made this enjoyable to read.

I liked the characters and felt like their motivations were clear, the only thing that I found hard to believe was that this group felt near death after less than 24 hours without food and water. It seemed like the author was trying to turn the situation dire more quickly and it just didn’t land.

I also felt Michele was one dimensional and maybe I took offense because I’m a lawyer but even a workaholic in the face of danger wouldn’t be ranting about a laptop and work.

Overall it was good! Liked it better than the
Housemaid.

Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for this ARC. Freida McFadden does it again! Her books are addictive. Every word she has in her books serves a purpose and that is to advance the story!

In One by One a group of friends set out on a roadtrip. However, after leaving the main road looking for their hotel, their van breaks down and they decide to walk the rest of the way. They take off into the woods following a map and compass which leads them to getting lost in the woods with little food and water and no phone signal.

One by one they begin to disappear. Something or someone is hunting them down and leaving bloody scenes behind. After many twists and turns 2 are left and in true Freida McFadden style the hunter may not be who you expect!

I love Freida McFadden books. This one is about 3 couples on a vacation that turns into a survival situation. This book is a lot of fun and hard to put down. As always Freida is the queen of the twists. Totally recommend this one.

I've barely started this book, but find it so hard to put down already. Absolutely love this, and all of Freida McFadden's books. Will update when I finish.
UPDATE: I finished this book in 2 sittings it was so good. Freida did it again, and captured my attention right away. This book had quite a few unexpected twists that made it impossible to put down. I HIGHLY recommend this one for all mystery, thriller, suspense fans. I can't wait to read more of her work. Thank you NetGalley!!

What a gripping thriller. I disliked all of the characters, but it seemed like that was the author's intent.

I was so intrigued by this story. The first line pulled me in, and I enjoyed the entire ride. it was a quick and easy read. It was full of twists and turns. I was on the edge of my seat throughout this one. I was SO wrong on who I thought Anonymous was. I could've sworn that I had it all figured out, but I never would've guessed the plot twist. As soon as I think one of Freida's books is predictable, she proves me way wrong!

Thank you to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

In my opinion this wasn't one of freidas best books. It had all the normal plot twists and turns but to me it ended abruptly and there could of been so much more. Still a good read if you are a freida readah. I soul's recommend this book as a "palette cleanser" in between books.

I sat and devoured this book in a few hours, all I have to say is WOW! I did not see that ending coming by a mile. I have not been disappointed in a Freida book yet. The twists are always just so phenomenal. You won't catch me going on any vacations in the woods after reading this one. This book also had me questioning if I really know my friends all that well....

If you haven't picked this up, and you are a fan of mystery/thrillers with wild twists, do yourself a favor and grab this one now!

Thank you Netgalley, the author, and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Ohhhh Freida! You know you’re my favorite! I read this book in a FLASH! But… it wasn’t my all time fave. I enjoyed the storyline in the woods… I enjoyed some of the characters! The twist, although good, just wasn’t screaming Freida!

Claire was a good perspective, I enjoyed her telling of the story… Lindsay (although we share names, haha) threw me off… and I wanted MORE! She was gone too soon! And the surgeon… wow wouldn’t I like to see him in person!

I did enjoy reading this book, but I would find myself recommending another Freida book for first time McFadden readers!

THANK YOU for this opportunity!!

The book "One by One" by Freida McFadden is a wonderful twist on classic locked-door mysteries. A group of friends heads out for a few days away, but after a breakdown leaves them stranded and ill-prepared, they question everything and each other. Do you know your closest family and friends as well as you think? The twists will leave you guessing until the end.
If you love locked-door mysteries, you will love this book.

Claire and Noah are headed on a vacation with two other couples to a remote lodge to relax. However, they are currently having some marriage problems, so Claire books them two separate rooms. On their way to the lodge, Claire's minivan breaks down. They somehow got lost and now they are in the middle of nowhere with no cell signal, and no food and water. One by one, each of them goes missing...Until only Claire and Noah are left. Someone is out for revenge, but who is it and why?

Another winner from Freida Mcfadden. There are always unforeseen twists and turns above and beyond any you might see coming. Although many of her plots may seem a bit farfetched she always manages to use the dialogue of the characters in such a way that you slip into the story and believe every last bit of it. Enthusiastically recommend!
