Second book I have read by Freida McFadden and once again I have been completely surprised by the ending. I feel like I should definitely give up trying to figure out the ending because each time I am shocked. This is one book I could not put down at all. The book was so intense my heart was racing the entire time from start to finish. The character (Claire) situation was very relatable to my own personal life which made me invest that much deeper into the book. I really loved the concept of the anonymous character discussing their life from childhood to adulthood, throwing in the tiny details that developed them to be who they are present day and just when you think you know who it is - surprise!

Truly such a thrilling read and that is why I am rating this book 5 stars, hands down.

From the beginning of this story to the end I knew it was going to be a favorite by #friedamcfadden. Six friends are going to spend a week at a resort but will it be a happy week? Two of the couples are having marital issues and one couple is still just dating. Tensions are thick almost from the beginning of the trip but ramp up for sure when car issues arise and the 6 are forced to go in search of help. What they find is not help but rather more and more troubles and as the blurb says not all will survive. As is what appears to be usual for Ms. McFadden there is an unexpected twist or two and it left me going oh wow! I couldn’t put this down until the last page was turned. This was GREAT. Had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I felt like after each chapter i had a new theory as to what was actually happening but i still didn’t predict the ending. Had me tricked the entire time. Another great read by Freida McFadden!

Freida does it yet again!! I heard this book was so underrated and didn’t get the hype it deserved but I’m so glad it’s getting rereleased so it can have the spotlight and shine like is definitely deserved. Freida really can make a book have multiple plot twists and still keep you coming back for more! This book will definitely not disappoint! Pick it up and read it!

Just like every other Freida book, this was a great read. It sucked me in immediately and kept me interested the entire way through. It constantly had me trying to guess who was responsible for what was happening. It was slightly more predictable than the other books by the author that I have read but I only got it half correct. Great read and I can’t wait to read more of her books!

Anything that could go wrong on a trip…certainly happened on this one! Car trouble in the middle of no where, no cell service, dwindling food and water, and friends disappearing one by one. Whew! This one kept me guessing and all made sense in the end!

WOW!!!!!!! I absolutely loved this book and finished it in about two days! I couldn’t put it down!! The writing style is so engaging and probably one of the many reasons I enjoyed this one! Incredible story that gave you some clues but you were still shocked at the end! The paperback comes out tomorrow, get your copy and let me know what you think!

As usual, Freida McFadden delivered a solid, fast paced psychological thriller that continuously had me guessing. I thought I had it several times, but I was wrong! 😂 This was a quick, engaging read, and the discussion questions had me thinking after I was done.

I absolutely loved this one. It was written beautifully. Frieda McFadden got me on this one! My jaw dropped towards the ending. Adding this one my recommendations list!

Mcfadden is by far the plot twist queen! I'm usually pretty good with guessing "Whodunit', but she always surprises me and I love that! This was a super fast paced story that I plowed through. A group of 6, lost in the woods. Everyone has secrets and people start dropping one by one. Very exciting read!

This book was great and of course, I was stumped again. I feel like it was an emotional roller coaster ride that I didn't want to get off. As soon as I thought I knew who the anonymous writer I was proven wrong. I would highly recommend this book!

I enjoyed this book!! It was a great quick read and had me changing my opinion of Clare and the friends with every chapter! I loved the spin of anonymous and the twist at the end literally made me gasp!!!

I chose this book because I have been reading so much about readers who love her books. I wanted to see for myself. Oh my, I loved this book and I can't wait to read more of her books. Easy reading, easily relatable characters, and twists and turns that kept me guessing all the way to the last page. I couldn't put it down and finished in 1 day.

Six adults head out for a relaxing weekend at an inn deep in the woods. Unfortunately their car breaks down before they arrive, stranding them in the woods with little food and water. The friends fight for survival as they disappear, one by one.

This novel was an extremely short and fast read. It was delightfully atmospheric and creepy, with a shocking twist. I recommend this novel to anyone looking for a thrill but short on time.

Freida McFadden to me is the queen of really snappy thrillers that don't require a degree to work out what's going on and always include plot twists that you can never see coming. If you're looking for a short bingeable thriller, then One By One is a good place to start.
You do have to suspend belief a little bit, and I did find it to be slightly repetitive, but it's super compelling, so it didn't stop me from enjoying the book overall.

All of the characters in this book are pretty unlikeable and unreliable, which makes for an interesting time spent with them. There's murder and lost in the forest vibes, which I really enjoyed.

Overall, this was a fun read that was short and kept me turning the pages. I will definitely pick up more of Freida's books in the future.

I loved this book! My favourite thing about One by One was the way the characters were written. They all had so much character that I felt like I knew them by the time I had finished the book.
Without giving too much away, I was a huge fan of the "Anonymous chapters"! They really kept me guessing (I was way off lol)
I love Freida McFaddens writing and this is one of her best.

I was sure I had it figured out but, I was wrong… again. Freida McFadden never disappoints. I love a good guessing game that keeps me reading and this book was no exception. I was quickly invested in the characters and couldn’t wait to really figure out the truth behind all of the twists and turns.
