One by One is a creepy thriller than sucks you in from the first page. I wish I liked the characters more and do feel as if the book description didn’t fully align with the actual plot. Easy read and I’ll likely pick up more books by this author.

What a fantastic read! It grips you from beginning to end like I could not put this book down. There were so many twists and the end still surprised me! This has some strong female characters and it's well written all around. Freida did it again with this book! So impressed!

Freida has done it again! She is a master at writing the quick read suspense novels. What a great new addition to her library!! GOOO get it ASAP!! Quick read with lots of twists and turns. Of course you think you have it all figured out but you don't.

Thank you to Frieda McFadden, Poisoned Pen Press and Netgalley for allowing me to read this ARC!!

A slow paced psychological thriller. Told from Claire's point of view, it builds up slowly, her failing marriage, her affair, and the doomed trip. Murder after murder keeps you engaged. All characters are unlikable and have their own flaws, but it's suspenseful, and the ending was shocking. Nice time pass read. I was not blown away by it, but I liked it.. Thanks to @Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced reading copy.

This was such a fun and wild ride of a book! Really enjoyed it, and loved how to the point this story was. I was hooked from the beginning!

Once again Freida got me! She does an excellent job making you think one thing only to be wrong by the end. I thought I knew what was going to happen but was absolutely surprised. I have not been doing much reading, but I was so invested that I read the whole thing in one day. So happy to have found Freida's books.

This was one of Freida’s plots I wasn’t sure would be a favorite. I ended up being hooked so fast and couldn’t figure out how things would pan out for the characters. Once again, I was duped! A great thriller to keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat.

Thank you netgalley for an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

This is a short and fast read. It has an unreliable narrator and in true Freida fashion it is full of all the twists and turns! This was a fun read and it was hard to put down. I read it in a day!

Freida and her plot twists always get me! 3 couples go on a vacation and one by one they go missing. Such a suspenseful read but if you’re a Freida fan and are familiar with her books, you can sometimes start to predict but the plot twists are all work it

Freida McFadden is a favorite of mine and this book did not disappoint.

A nice relaxing getaway turns into a deadly “who done it” murder mystery. This book will have you wanting to find out who or what is behind every disappearance/death. You think you know, but the plot twist will have you spinning!

I don’t know how she does it but I am always completely shocked at all the twists and turns in these books. Once I think I have it figured out I am surely wrong moments later. I read this book in one sitting because I could not put it down!!

6 people, 3 couples, one week at a secluded luxury inn..... Until their vehicle breaks down on the way there in the wilderness. With no cell phone service to call for help they have no choice but to walk through the forest to find the luxury inn. First someone dies. Then someone disappears. Accidents or something more sinister? And will they ever find their way to civilization?
- Excellent writing that sucks you in from the very beginning.
- The chain of events as the story progressed the me in a chokehold and I couldn't stop reading because I needed to know what was going to happen.
- Major shock at the end and left the door open for the story to continue

First off I need to thank NetGalley, Poisoned Pen Press and Freida McFadden for the arc.

One by One is my first Freida McFadden book, and it completely exceeded my expectations.
One by One was suspenseful, twisty and just leaves you on the edge of your seat!

The "Anonymous" chapters were my absolute favorite, and the revelation was completely unexpected.
The flow, plot and mystery was unwavering, a phenomenal read.

I'm excited to check out McFadden's backlist.

Any Freida McFadden fans how her books grab you from the first page and hooks you and this one is no exception! I read this ARC in a few hours and it while it definitely kept me interested and guessing at certain parts, I feel like it was a little bit predictable. This reminds me a lot of a book by a different author. Stuck in the woods, people are being murdered one by one and everybody's a suspect. Overall I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to others. Thanks to NetGalley and Hollywood Upstairs Press for the advanced copy.

WOW One by One (Kindle Edition) a psychological thriller by Freida McFadden was absoluteley amazing and what a twisty end finale.

Claire and Noah are married with two young children and their marriage has not been a bed of roses so they jump at the chance of joining up with friends Jack and Michelle who have no children and Warner and Lindsay boyfriend and girlfriend on a hiking vacation in the woods staying at a luxurious hotel that has spas and Claire hopes that this will give them a much needed break.

Unfortunately Claire's mini van breaks down in the middle of the woods on a dirt road and they have no cell phone reception so have to navigate their way to the hotel with the use of a compass and map.

It is a fight for survival as they see bear claw marks on the trees in the woods as they hike their way through and one by one some animal or one amongst the group is out to take them down.

Who will survive this treacherous trek through the woods and survive. Someone in the group has had a very abusive childhood and outwardly shows a perfect persona but when betrayed something evil comes to the surface.

Another brilliant story by this author. A fast paced claustrophobic and sometimes really scary book. I loved it, I recommend going in blind and you'll be delighted with the many twists and turns within this book x

Three sets of partners opt for a collective week-long getaway, seeking an opportunity for respite. However, what initially promised as a retreat spirals into a harrowing ordeal. "One By One" ensnares with its gripping, shocking, and tension-filled narrative, compelling me to remain riveted from start to finish. I devoured it within a day, unable to put it down.

How is Frieda McFadden so incredibly good at writing twists and turns. She has a way of getting in my brain and making me question every single character at least once throughout her books. One by One is about a couple and a few friends that are heading out on a road trip for an adults only trip at a remote hotel. Each couple gets a chance to take some time and either work on their relationship or nurture a new relationship when suddenly their car breaks down in a remote place on the way to their destination. Cue scary music....

The characters leave the car in search of their final destination when spooky scary things start happening and one by one people start disappearing. This was a quick read with lots of twists. It wasn't my favorite Frieda book but I am going to eventually read them all and I did enjoy this one. I love when a book keeps me going late into the night. The only con was it was a little cheesy but the twist at the end was good and I did enjoy it. If anyone tries to talk me into a remote hotel my answer will be no, I am sticking to the beach.

Thank you @netgalley, @poisonedpenpress and Frieda McFadden for this digital ARC in return for my honest feedback.
