Fantastic kit for use in book club meetings. We struggle with discussing the book (we usually say a few worked about it and then start chatting about anything in general) and this will help us to stay on track.

This marks my first book club kit. It sets the standards high with an interview and insightful questions. It inspired me about my reviews, analysis and my workshops.

Went through the entirety of it, and this is wonderful kit for a book club for this book. The engagement is wonderful and useful! I enjoyed that it has extras to provide for your club.

I checked out this free Book Club Kit example for inspiration in my own book club and was pleasantly surprised. Colorful, researched, and well-crafted, this Book Club Kit did not disappoint and would most assuredly be a strong companion for any book club.

I especially appreciated reading the interview with Avery Cunningham. The questions asked of her were the type of questions I would have liked to ask her. I enjoyed the book and was happy to review this excellent compilation.

Awesome way to catch the reader. These type of gifts really draw the attention and the public - of course - will be very interested in grabbing the book as soon as it is released. Congratulations!

I just love the idea of a book club kit! It's a perfect way to really get into all the pieces of the book. Having this guide was a lot of extra fun!

I loved this and my bookclub did as well. It really made the book more interesting. My favorite was the different food and drink options because food always makes things more fun and engaging. I will be sure to include more resources and guides like this for my book club and I can see it taking our bookclub very far. Thank you!

This book will be a book club read for myself and a book club that I'm a part of and this is great to have. It is great for not having a book club exclusive copy or those who tend to skip the extras in the back. It's also nice to have this available to download and send out as a part of a book club activity before a meeting so everyone has time to look over the questions and develop their own thoughts to share later. I will be sharing this with the book club that I am a part of for sure!

I loved the interview with the author, and wish there was more on her writing process for this historical fiction book. The playlist and bookmarks were fantastic additions.
The recipes and suggestions for meeting set this book club kit apart and I would be interested in further book club kits if this is the typical set up and subject matter.

The Mayor of Maxwell Street is a beautiful novel that captivated me from the start. Being able to dive into this book kit added not only fun book-themed extras (like drinks, snacks, playlist, bookmarks, etc.), but also a newfound love for the story through the author q&a and discussion questions. Hearing from the author was extremely insightful and I found myself wanting to ask her 50 more questions myself! Overall, I love these book kits. I think they are so great to add meaning and structure to your book club meetings!

I didn't know when downloading this if we were expected to also review things like this. My book club is excited to use it to facilitate our discussion.

My book club didn’t end up picking the mayor of Maxwell street as our book of the month but I hope to choose it sometime in the future and come back to edit this review after using this book club kit. Thanks netgalley and publishers

Good book club kit. Should be better listed that the book does not come with the kit.

Insightful questions about a time and people who are often lost to history’s narratives. I appreciated the perspectives of BIPOC women in a time unimaginably grueling compared to today.

Short and sweet guide. It includes discussion questions, an interviews, some recipes (food and drink), and a playlist. The recipes and playlist were a nice addition and would help make the book club meeting an event.

I hope that there will be more of these book club kits as this is great fun and I love the idea of immersive discussions and refreshments. More please!

This is a really great discussion guide for this book. I am not really sure what else to write since it’s not a book.

This felt like a very complete book club kit. The questions in the “Author Interview” really allowed the author the give the reader a better understanding of where the inspiration from the book came from and characters’ journey. This information, along with the challenges the author faced, help the readers have a better understanding and appreciation for the book and even connect with the author if these were also things the reader identified with. The first question immediately stood out to me because I don’t feel it’s often a book’s cover is discussed. For the discussion questions, I liked the inclusion of Avery Cunningham’s questions.
This is my first book club kit review and felt the suggestions towards the end of food and drinks were such a nice touch! The suggestions inspire club members to dive into the story and create a shared experience with story. The experience is completed with the playlist which is 10/10.
Lastly, I liked the book suggestion of “what to read next” contained similar themes to The Mayor of Maxwell Street.

Loved this resource it is really awesome!! The bookmarks are so cool something I will definitely print and laminate to use. I also thought the little recipes for food + drinks was such a cute addition!!
