Natalie moved to Chestnut Ridge, which is a few hours from where her best friend Sheila lives. Sheila decided to visit Natalie and help her decorate a Christmas tree for the annual Christmas Tree Stroll fundraiser.
Sheila is a real estate agent who is always on the go. Chestnut Ridge is a very laid-back community, so Sheila is forced to relax and think about her life. She meets the hunky fire captain, Tucker. They spend time together while she helps him with some fundraising things happening in the town.
This was my first Nancy Naigle book and it won’t be my last!
Thank you to St. Martin’s Publishing Group and to NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book for my honest review.

“Christmas in Chestnut Ridge” by Nancy Naigle
Sweet Romance and recipes, too !
I just couldn’t put this story down. The opportunity to find love and friendships that will endure make this a special story town. Happy Reading ! !

St. Martin’s Press and NetGalley offered me the opportunity to read and review Christmas in Chestnut Ridge by Nancy Naigle. I am so glad I did! It was the most heartwarming story I have ever read.
The story takes place in the small town of Chestnut Ridge, Virginia, and centers around the build-up to Christmas. Sheila leaves her home in the city to pay a visit to her best friend Natalie. The town has so many Christmas activities planned, including the annual Christmas Tree Stroll fundraiser, that Natalie talks her into participating in. It is while helping with the Christmas event that she meets the local fire chief Tucker Donovan.
When Tucker responds to a devastating house fire, Sheila, Natalie, and the whole town all join Tucker to help the displaced family. It was in the true spirit of Christmas that everyone joined in to help the Jacobs family.
The story is beautifully written with rich descriptions of delicious holiday food (there are recipes at the end of the book), gorgeous Christmas decorations, snow for the holiday, and a hint of romance, all in the small town of Chestnut Ridge. What more can you ask of a Christmas novel? Nancy always weaves a story you will not want to end, and Christmas in Chestnut Ridge is positively one of those stories.
My thanks to St. Martin’s Press and NetGalley for allowing me to read and review Christmas in Chestnut Ridge.

Christmas Magic is in the air in Chestnut Ridge!
Sheila has been roped into helping her friend decorate a tree for the Christmas Tree Stroll Fundraiser. Not looking forward to all of that, but a friend in need…
AS Sheila gets into the festivities, she finds herself actually loving the small town and the people in it. Especially one hunky fire captain, who is trying to help a family who has lost everything in a fire.
Sparks are soon flying in this cozy, romantic, oh so Christmasy story!

This is a sweet story about finding out what's important in your life, and the realization that it's attainable! I loved it! 5 Christmas stars for this one!
Sheila is headed to Chestnut Ridge for the holidays to spend time with her best friend Natalie. She's finding it hard leaving her business behind, but for Natalie, she'll do it! She's excited about experiencing all there is to offer there for the holidays! She meet's Tucker the fire chief, and they hit it off. Coming off a marriage that didn't work out is hindering her belief to be able to find love again. She's thrown herself more in to her business, and Chestnut Ridge is the best place to be able to take a break.
This sweet Christmas story will have you wanting to decorate your tree now! And you will fall in love with Chestnut Ridge and all it's residents, and all the fun they have during the holiday season! Don't miss out on this one!

Cue the jingle bells! Nancy. Naigle has a special gift for vividly crafting cozy communities filled with memorable characters and for sprinkling abundant Christmas cheer and goodwill throughout. Christmas in Chestnut Ridge is a heartwarming, charming confection of a read that transports the reader to the Blue Ridge Mountain town in which it is primarily set - Chestnut Ridge. I will say that this particular novel does get a bit bogged down in details in the middle and, as such, for me was not as delightful as some of Naigle’s other holiday fare. That said, this book would be an antidote to a Scrooge-like holiday attitude.
Many thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Griffin for the complimentary ARC. Opinions are my own.

What do you get when you add a big city real estate agent, a small town fire chief, and the Christmas season? A feel good story idea, of course!
It’s the little things, though, that earned the lower rating. Why does he have a coat on and she doesn’t when they go up to look over the mountain? Doris would have known Tucker got hurt. Even if she said something to Sheila, the whole “I’m mad at him because he didn’t tell me” would have worked. Actually, it would have probably worked better. And overhearing the conversation at his house? Who had their windows open on Christmas Eve when the daily high temperature runs from the high 40s to the mid 50s. At the end of the book, she leaves her “overstated house”, yet she moves into a little downtown condo in And Then There Was You.
Maybe this book was rushed. Maybe there were other things going on in the author’s life. Yes, I understand this is an uncorrected digital copy. These aren’t simple grammar or punctuation errors.
This one just missed the mark for me.

Christmas in Chestnut Ridge is a light, sweet Christmas romance. I liked the stories within the story about the local fire department and the community's Christmas celebrations. If you want something to relax with, this is a good choice. I received a free copy with no expectations.

Christmas in Chestnut Ridge is a lovely Christmas story that will put you in the mood for your Christmas celebrations. It is a touching story about meeting someone when you least expect it and changing your life in significant ways in the process. It is about love, the spirit of giving, the celebration of Christmas, loss and heartache, and some good on fashion neighborly people.
I want to go to Chestnut Ridge for Christmas and stay in a cabin in the woods, and enjoy hot chocolate as I stroll through the annual Christmas Tree Decorating contest. The trees are decorated by teams of people and each tree is unique. I won't go into detail but if you are looking for some inspiration for decorating a special tree you just might find some wonderful ideas in this book.
Sheila and Natalie have been friends for a very long time and Natalie who has recently moved to Chestnut Ridge invites Sheila for Christmas to help decorate a tree. There are a host of characters including a hot Fire Chief. It is a clean story -nothing shocking - great book for a young adult or a much older person.
I did not read the first book in this series, and did not think it lessened my enjoyment any. The first book is titled, "And Then There Was You." I did receive an advance copy of this book for an honest review from NetGalley and the publisher St Martin’s Press .

A warming Christmas story that focuses on the true spirit of the season, love, community, friendships, and family. I loved the creativity of the tree festival and how the entire community got involved. The various ideas were inspiring and I can see where everyone would have a ball participating. Sheila brings a new energy and spark and the town embraces her, especially Tucker. There is an instant attraction that neither of them understand, but thankfully, they both just go with it. I love Sheila’s excitement and generosity, Tucker’s leadership and steadfastness, and Orene’s orneriness that proves her love and affection. If you are in the mood for a feel good, warming holiday story then curl up and allow yourself to experience the Christmas feeling in Chestnut Ridge.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley and all opinions expressed are solely my own, freely given.

“Once you experience Christmas in Chestnut Ridge, you’ll never forget it.”
What a treat to be back in the enchanting mountain town of Chestnut Ridge for Christmas! From the first chapter, I could feel the Christmas magic and was steeped in an immersive story featuring community and the season's true spirit. When I discovered that I was going to meet up with Natalie Maynard from book one, I was hooked.
I loved the camaraderie among the townsfolk and the genuine care they had for each other. The big-hearted fire chief embodied those he protected. I think the thing that will stay with me most is what happened when Sheila finally decided to accept her best friend’s invitation. As with the first book, one decision changes…everything. I’m glad that Sheila found her sense of belonging and was able to bask in the confidence that her friend had found hers too.
As we head into the Christmas season, Fire Chief Tucker’s advice is worth adhering to; remember to water your Christmas tree!
I can’t wait for the next installment of this fantastic series.
Congratulations on a wonderful cover!
I was gifted this copy by St. Martin’s Press and NetGalley and was under no obligation to provide a review.

From Amazon's recap of the book:
In the enchanting mountain town of Chestnut Ridge, where tree farms blanket the hillsides and the promise of a white Christmas is ever-present, a heartwarming holiday romance is about to blossom. When Sheila's best friend convinces her to help decorate a tree in the annual Christmas Tree Stroll fundraiser, she embarks on an unexpected journey of self-discovery, all wrapped in the cozy embrace of a tight-knit community. As she immerses herself in the joy of twinkling lights, hot cocoa, and the camaraderie of the townsfolk, Sheila's world begins to transform, and she finds the sense of belonging she never knew she needed.
Meanwhile, Tucker, the town's reliable fire captain, is gathering volunteers to help a family with four young children who have just lost their home to a devastating fire weeks before Christmas. Sheila offers her helping hand, and as the town rallies to support the family in their time of need, sparks of love begin to flicker between her and Tucker.
I enjoyed this novel--there were a lot of moving parts to the plot that kept the reader engaged and involved in the developments. Nancy Naigle usually writes more substantial novels, but this one is just light enough for the season she is writing about. It does follow the romance formula to a degree, but not in a hard-and-fast way. This is a romance that creeps up slowly on the reader. The other things happening in the book seem to take front and center stage, and when the romance shows up, it is a welcome addition to the plot.
Definitely a four-star book.
St Martin's Press provided the copy I read for this review. All opinions expressed are solely my own.

This was such a heartwarming and feel good story! I loved the small town vibes and all of the holiday traditions. I loved the elements of romance and seeing Sheila thrive in a new environment. Her and Tucker’s friendship turned romance was so sweet and endearing!

I received a free copy of, Christmas in Chestnut Ridge, by Nancy Naigle, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This might be Sheila's best Christmas ever, she is really feeling the holiday spirit. This such a delightful holiday read. I could picture myself in Chestnut Ridge enjoying all the Christmas festivities with these wonderful characters.

I like to start by thanking the author and the publisher for the chance to read this book. A pretty easy read. I didn’t find this to be a page turner in comparison to other books I read this summer, but it wasn’t a bad read.

Second book in this new series features Sheila & Tucker and Christmas in Chestnut Ridge. Virginia. This lovely town is full of interesting characters and small town festivities.
A Christian Romance novel where two people who have their own lives, their own ideas and different locations find themselves drawn together facing compromises both consider a deal breaker in getting together. Sheila is own s a real estate business in the city. Tucker is the local fire chief in Chestnut Ridge. They both are friends of Natalie's whose recent move to Chestnut Ridge links them.
The scenery and small town festivities are a lot of fun to experience and the reality of life provides some drama that puts the characters onto a new path.
I really enjoyed book one, book two was good, and I am looking forward to book 3. This could be read as a stand alone but you'd miss a lot of the background relationships.

A heartwarming holiday delight! This charming romance immerses you in a town where dreams and Christmas magic abound. The characters are endearing and their interactions with the close-knit community bring the story to life. The love story is sweet and genuine, capturing the true spirit of the season with warmth and joy. I love it.

I absolutely loved this book!
Sheila best friend begs her to come to Chestnut Ridge for a visit, but also to help decorate a tree for a community fundraiser. She can’t turn down her best friend’s request, so she heads to the small mountain town. She meets Tucker, the town’s fire captain, and sparks fly, literally. She is witness to his strength and humanity when he helps save a family with four little ones from a horrible fire that all but destroys their home. Sheila, along with the town, do so much to help this family. After getting to know him and starting to care deeply for him, she and Tucker must try to navigate their feelings considering she lives several hours away.
And the Christmas Tree Stroll? That sounded magical, and I would love to attend one. The trees that teams of townspeople decorated sound enchanting. Time to head to Chestnut Ridge!
I received an advance review copy for free from the Publisher and NetGalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This Christmas book is filled with so much love and kindness. The characters really do set the tone and how much the love is shown. The description of the town and tress make you really feel you are there with them experiencing it as they do.

All the feel-good vibes of the holiday season enveloped me and pulled me into this wonderful story--Christmas in Chestnut Ridge, by Nancy Naigle is a winner! Her descriptive prose allowed me to hear the bells and choirs, to taste the cookies, and smell the pine. I loved every moment.
The sense of community, along with the friendships add to the cozy warmth of the season. Sheila Aldridge is drawn to the Ridge in support of her best friend, who has a tree to decorate for the Christmas Tree Stroll fundraiser. She is a confirmed city dweller with a thriving, busy real-estate company. Though Shelia can't imagine herself living in a small town, she is instantly charmed by the people, their positive outlook on life, and the Christmas traditions celebrated. The heartfelt charm of the season shines through, giving me a warm glow at the happy ending.
Thank you to #NancyNaigleTeam #StMartin'sPress #NetGalley for offering me an advance e-copy to read in consideration of a review, All thoughts and opinions are my own, I am delighted to review this heartfelt holiday romance.
