This was such a nice story of giving and what’s important in life. The small town community, Christmas Tree Stroll, and how everyone was there for and supporting each other was wonderful. Watching Sheila’s and Tucker’s relationship unfold was so natural and enjoyable, and with strong side characters, I loved the friendships and found family aspects as well. I also loved it being set in the Blue Ridge Mountains! This was a touching story with Hallmark vibes that will leave you wanting to visit Chestnut Ridge at Christmas!

Thank you to St. Martin’s Press/St. Martin’s Griffin for the eARC! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a Hallmark worthy book. Sheila is busy and seldom takes time for herself. However, when her best friend encourages her to come to Chestnut Ridge and help her decorate a Christmas Tree for the local fundraiser "Christmas Stroll", Sheila decides to accept. Soon she becomes involved in the community, helping a family who just lost their home to a fire. She also becomes very friend with the towns young Fire Chief.
This is a "feel good" book. The characters are sweet and the community sounds idyllic. The writing style is easy-to-read and the story was entertaining and kept my interest. This is a nice escape read.

Sheila's journey of self-discovery is both relatable and inspiring. Through her involvement in the community and her growing connection with Tucker, she finds not only love but also a renewed sense of purpose and belonging. Tucker, meanwhile, is the perfect romantic lead—kind, dependable, and selfless, embodying the warmth and reliability of the season.
The subplot of helping a family recover from a devastating fire adds depth and emotional resonance to the story. It showcases the strength of community and the power of coming together in times of need, a theme that feels particularly poignant during the holidays.

Sweet romance set in a lovely place with heartstrings pulled every page! I loved the romance of it and the characters were well developed. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher

I liked this one a lot better than the first. You don’t technically need to read the first one to read this one, but it helps because of all the recurring characters from the first book.
I loved seeing the relationship development of Sheila and Tucker. There was so much romantic tension, it was easy to want this slow burn to just speed up because of their chemistry. They were so cute together, and it was nice seeing everything they were doing together for the community. It was great to see all the characters from the first book, too, and the deeper friendships there.
I also loved how this is actually a cozy Christmas book, and not just a book that happens during Christmas time. There was so much stuff related to Christmas, especially the Christmas Tree Stroll, which seemed like so much fun. I did have a cheesy grin on my face at times.
Both Chestnut Ridge books were very relatable to me, since I have moved from a city to a small mountain town, so it reminds me of how things really do change once you’re in a small town. There is a larger sense of community in town. I actually know my neighbors here, and had no idea who they were in the city. Things are slower paced, but also just calmer, and people are nicer. So, if you want a Hallmark movie set in a relatable mountain town, this is your book.

This was a lovely Christmas read! Sheila and Tucker had a cute romance going throughout this book, along with some tragic events in the town. I enjoyed it as a "hallmark" type read. Just a heartwarming type of Christmas book by author Nancy Naigle. (If you have read other books of hers, you will enjoy this one as well!)

Sweet, festive, and absolutely charming! I loved that this one focused on a more mature couple. The town was so lovely. This book was adorable although predictable.

This charming book is everything a Christmas book should be! Get this on your Christmas reading list to put you in the right mood for the holiday season !

Author of Hallmarks Holiday Movies "Christmas in Evergreen" Nancy brings the same love, cozy, holiday town vibe to Chestnut Ridge! A place where community is at the heart of the story! Thank you so much to NetGalley, Nancy and St. Martins for the eARC!
What to Expect:
⭐ Cozy Holiday Story
⭐ A town of colorful wonderful people
⭐ A story of self discovery and sense of belonging
⭐ Strangers to lovers romance
My Thoughts:
How had I NEVER read a Nancy Naigle book before! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Christmas in Evergreen Movies Hallmark does and I had NO IDEA they were a book series!! Now I will be adding those to my 2025 holiday reading list!
Okay lets circle back to Christmas in Chestnut Ridge. This story is delightfully heartfelt and cozy. You feel like you get a big warm hug from it. It's a clean read with a low spice warning. Its the type of book that you not only fall in love with the main characters (Sheila and Tucker) but also the sub characters of the town! From Tuckers fellow fire fighters to the women who drop everything to help anyone in need. You won't be disappointed with the depth Nancy writes. It makes you want to move to Chestnut Ridge which is EXACTLY how I felt about the Evergreen movies!
Also I didn't know this was book 2 in a series as Sheilas best friend is the main character in book 1. HOWEVER it is an absolute stand alone and doesn't leave gaps to make you feel like you lost something. All in all i loved this book, will now be a huge fan of reading ALL her stories!!!
Synopsis:
In the enchanting mountain town of Chestnut Ridge, where tree farms blanket the hillsides and the promise of a white Christmas is ever-present, a heartwarming holiday romance is about to blossom. When Sheila's best friend convinces her to help decorate a tree in the annual Christmas Tree Stroll fundraiser, she embarks on an unexpected journey of self-discovery, all wrapped in the cozy embrace of a tight-knit community. As she immerses herself in the joy of twinkling lights, hot cocoa, and the camaraderie of the townsfolk, Sheila's world begins to transform, and she finds the sense of belonging she never knew she needed.
Meanwhile, Tucker, the town's reliable fire captain, is gathering volunteers to help a family with four young children who have just lost their home to a devastating fire weeks before Christmas. Sheila offers her helping hand, and as the town rallies to support the family in their time of need, sparks of love begin to flicker between her and Tucker.
In this charming town where dreams come true, and Christmas magic is everywhere, come along for a tale of love, community, and the true spirit of the season.

DNF at 44%. It’s very small town cute, and it got a little too much for me. It’s well written and the characters are nice, it’s not my style.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley, I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This book is just ok…I find it drags, too much comfy country homey stuff happening, too much overthinking. Could be shorter.

OMG this book was pure perfection to me! But I think Nancy Naigle books always are. The characters and story are well written and enjoyable. I was hooked from the beginning until the very end. It ended perfectly but I could always use more of her books. LOL
The story does start of a little heartbreaking when Fire Chief Tucker tries to save a families house from fire but isn't successful. So a family with four young children are in need and he's trying to get volunteers to help them since they lost everything.
Sheila is a realtor visiting her best friend and to help decorate a tree in the annual Christmas Tree Stroll fundraiser. While she's here she ends up helping Tucker and the family that lost everything. Along the way she will embark on an unexpected journey of self-discovery.
Sheila and Tucker are such compassionate characters and I just fell in love with them. I loved following along on their journey.
This book had me laughing, swooning, smiling like crazy and had my heart filled with joy! I seriously can't recommend this book enough!!
Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin's Press | St. Martin's Griffin for allowing me to read this ARC for my honest opinion.

This was my first exposure to the characters in Chestnut Ridge, I wish I had read the earlier titles. I did like the author’s description of the town, I felt like I was there. The tree decorating fundraiser was such a great idea in the book. The slow burn romance with Tucker and Sheila was fun. 3.5 stars

This book could be a Hallmark movie. The story and dialogue is very predictable. Not very original.

Very Hallmark movieish. I enjoyed the MMC being a firefighter and the more detailed descriptions of his job.

We get it, you have a Tesla and it was expensive. The writing in this book was very clunky and super redundant at times. It was hard to tell how old our main characters were, sometimes they felt like they were in their 30's, sometimes their 60's. That said, the storyline was cute and very heartwarming.

I love stories like this at Christmas time. It's small town magic, love and romance all wrapped in a pretty bow. This is a Hallmark Christmas Movie in reader form and I enjoyed it.
I sincerely appreciate the author and NetGalley for the review copy.

I loved everything about Christmas in Chestnut Ridge - the small town, their Christmas traditions, the close-knit community, and all of the wonderful characters. This was the perfect Christmas story!
