Christmas in Chestnut Ridge by Nancy Naigle is an uplifting story that will give you all the feels! It is Christmas time in Chestnut Ridge, which means festivals and community. When Shelia leaves the city to visit her best friend Natalie for the Holidays, she finds how welcoming this small town can be. There is some tragedy which will pull at your heart strings, but there is also a lot of heart in this small town, and a very handsome, involved Fire Chief that gives a little Romance. This is the second book in this series, but it can easily be read as a stand alone. After reading this book, I really want to go to Chestnut Ridge and be friends with these people!

I love small town romance stories, add in Christmas time and its perfect. This story gives you everything you could want in a sweet small town Christmas. Wonderful characters, a community that pulls together when tragedy strikes. Add in a fire chief and a visitor from out of town visiting her best friend and you got yourself a great story. The traditions this small town has are fun and festive! A Christmas town come to life with everyone adding something to the mix. Thank you for a great story, I have only read this book 2 in the series but I look forward to the next one and plan on going back and reading book 1.

Yes, another seasonal read! Nancy Naigle takes us to Christmas in Chestnut Ridge.
Sheila is our lead character - and her life is not what she wants. She's successful in business, but not in love. Her best friend has moved to Chestnut Ridge and insists that Sheila come to her new home for Christmas. She reluctantly agrees.
Well, Chestnut Ridge celebrates Christmas in a really big way! There's some great ideas scattered throughout the book. These celebrations are all tied together by a large group of supporting characters. Including Tucker, the town's Fire Chief and all round beloved good guy.
So, what do you think might happen next? Uh huh, Tucker and Sheila hit it off. The sparks fly - but will they ignite?
Naigle really does a nice job of portraying the community, its' values and caring for all members of their town.
I like comfort reading when the snow starts, twinkle lights appear, Christmas cookies abound and so much more. This was a classic Christmas tale.

A sweet, cozy romance that takes us back to Chestnut Ridge. It’s never too late to change your life, sometimes you just need a little push. As in the first book, one choice changes Sheila’s life forever.
Tucker is the fire chief with a heart of gold. He is immediately drawn to Sheila, but can’t really yfigure out why. Sheila is in town visiting her best friend, but once she is in Chestnut Ridge the Christmas spirit kicks in and she starts seeing her life differently.
I love the town and people who live in it. They come together when families are in need and they love Christmas. The festival they put on every year is great and brings the town together. I really enjoyed this book. I received an ARC and this is my honest, voluntary review.

The book is very cozy, I loved the descriptions of how Chestnut Ridge was full of festive spirit. The protagonist was pretty one-dimensional, most of her personality revolved around her being sad because she couldn't get pregnant. The love interest, Tucker, had more character depth and developed throughout the story, but he did not grow on me. He didn't appeal as a romantic insterest with the best intentions at heart. The supporting characters were fun, especially Orene.

DELIGHTFUL, HEARTWARMING CHRISTMAS STORY
Best-selling author Nancy Naigle’s latest novel, Christmas in Chestnut Ridge, is a delightful, heartwarming Christmas story. I am so thankful that I read this book because it has put me in the holiday mood, and I am beginning to plan new ways to decorate this year.
Naigle has created the ideal small town of Chestnut Ridge for her setting. Chestnut Ridge is where we all wish to live, as there is a genuine feeling of warmth, caring, compassion, and community. Naigle has developed realistic, multidimensional characters and the type of people you want to be your friends. Successful Realtor/Broker Sheila’s best friend asks her to visit Chestnut Ridge and help decorate a tree for the annual Christmas Tree Stroll fundraiser. Sheila’s business has reached the point where it can function without her, so she agrees. Sheila enjoys visiting Chestnut Ridge, but she can not imagine someone choosing to live in the sleepy little town. That is her thought before this Christmas visit. This visit is different. This time, there is a little Christmas magic in the air. Sheila witnesses the town coming together to help a family that has lost everything in a fire, participating in a tree decorating team that works well together, having fun, and meeting someone who might be the man she had no idea she was looking for. Sheila demonstrates that “it is better to give than receive” as she plans unique gifts for her friends, particularly the family that lost their home in the fire. I wholeheartedly recommend this delightful, heartwarming Christmas story! I think anyone will enjoy reading it!
St. Martin’s and NetGalley provided me with a complimentary copy of this book. However, my opinions are entirely my own and uninfluenced.

Christmas in Chestnut Ridge is a heartwarming holiday tale that beautifully captures the spirit of the season in a charming small-town setting. It’s the kind of cozy read you want in a holiday book, perfect for curling up by the fire with a cup of hot cocoa.
Naigle does a lovely job of creating a sense of community among the characters, weaving themes of love, family, and second chances throughout the story. The warmth and genuine connections between the characters really shine, making it easy to get swept up in their holiday adventures.
While some plot points felt a bit familiar, the cozy atmosphere and delightful moments make it a satisfying read. The main character’s journey toward finding joy and connection during the holidays is relatable and sweet, even if it doesn't stray too far from the expected.
Overall, I’d give Christmas in Chestnut Ridge a solid 4 stars. It’s a charming and uplifting story that embraces everything we love about the holidays, making it a perfect escape to get you into the festive spirit. If you’re looking for a feel-good read that wraps you in warmth, this one is definitely worth picking up!

This book is a charming and inviting love story that made me want to visit Chestnut Ridge and visit with all of the residents. Shelia is a successful real estate agent in a big city and responds with enthusiasm when her friend Natalie invites her to Chestnut Ridge for the holiday season. Shelia goes to help Natalie decorate a tree for the Christmas Tree Stroll contest and finds much more in the little town than Christmas trees. She finds friendship, a community that supports each other in hard times and people who genuinely watch out for each other. Shelia finds a sense of belonging as well as unexpected love. I totally enjoyed my stay in this story, with characters who jumped off the page and into my heart as an entire town came together to help a family who suffered a huge loss from a devastating fire. I loved how the characters melded together to tell one delightful story of unity, friendship, and compassion. The story moves along at a quick pace with engaging characters and events that were realistically portrayed and fun to read about. What a heartwarming and memorable story!

CHRISTMAS IN CHESTNUT RIDGE is the second book in the Chestnut Ridge series. I loved this story! I want to go and live in Chestnut Ridge and dive into all the local gossip. I felt like I was right there in Chestnut Ridge with my girlfriends getting ready for the holidays. It was like reading about a group of friends. I can not wait to continue this series! Even though CHRISTMAS IN CHESTNUT RIDGE is the second book in the series, you won't feel lost if you haven't read the first one. I'm planning on going back and reading it myself.
CHRISTMAS IN CHESTNUT RIDGE has Sheila agreeing to spend the holidays away from Richmond and her home with her very best friend, Natalie. Once there, Sheila realizes why Natalie left big city life for this gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountain small town. While she is hanging out with Natalie she meets the hunky fire chief, Tucker. Be prepared for Tucker to steal your heart and give you all the feels. Anyway, Sheila is quite taken with Tucker. This is when her life is really going to get turned upside down. She is instantly attracted to Tucker as he is to her but both don't act on their feelings. Not right away at least.
The situations these people get into is just too funny. I loved all the characters in CHRISTMAS IN CHESTNUT RIDGE and can't wait to continue to get to know them! I loved how the whole town came together when a large family lost their home to a fire. Sheila and Natalie really stepped up to help them and it changes Sheila's whole outlook on life. This beautiful story will surely put you in A holiday mood. So much so that you will be digging out that ugly holiday sweater in no time at all! Don't forget the hot chocolate and candy canes. I truly believe this is the best Christmas book I have read this year so far. Nancy sure knows how to pull on her reader's heart strings and she doesn't let them go until the end of the story.

This was a very good story of a big town realtor/broker who travels to a small town to help her friend with the Christmas Tree Stroll competition. Sheila meets Tucker, the handsome fire chief and learns the beauty of small town living and how the residents love each other. I would read more about these characters.

It is the holiday season, time to celebrate with friends, pick out Christmas trees, drinking hot cocoa, buying gifts, having a sense of community, and falling in love.
Sheila travels to Chestnut Ridge to visit her best friend Natalie and to help her decorate a tree for the annual tree decorating contest. Sheila is pulled into this town of caring neighbors helping to support a family which was displaced by a fire. The usual holiday activities occur, bringing the community together; like providing food baskets and cookie bakes. Sheila is quickly pulled into this small community and fitting perfectly; something this city gal did not expect. She also did not expect to fall for the local fire chief. Tucker is a great guy, and he sure did not expect to fall for a city gal. This is a sweet Christmas romantic read sure to bring on the smiles. I can’t wait for the next installment of this wonderful series.

Nancy Naigle wrote a winner. Pick this book up and let it take you away for Christmas.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an ARC of this book.

This one is for the reader who enjoys a prose version of the older Hallmark Christmas shows. The characters are sweetly generic, the setting full of X-mas (the commercial face of Christmas) trivia, and no real bumps in the road. Yet it took me months to read as it was always so easy to put down and took an effort to pick up again.

Romance in a small town. Although a romance, it's a story about caring, hope, helping others, and all the good things about a small town. It's also about reevaluating priorities and figuring out what really matters in life. Enjoyable read.
I received an ARC copy from NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions are my own.
