Christmas in Chesnut Ridge hits you in the warm and fuzzies as it takes you to a small mountain town for a sweet romance that will give Hallmark a run for its money. Sheila is feeling alone this Christmas since her mother is suffering from dementia. Her best friend talks her into coming to Chesnut Ridge to enjoy all the holiday festivities including the annual Christmas Tree Stroll. The Christmas tree competition places her firmly in the orbit of hot local fire chief and so the sparks fly. The HEA is sweet as two people burned by past love find hope and happiness at Christmas. Good deeds galore add to the overall story to add the cherry on top of a feel good Christmas romance. My voluntary, unbiased, and non-mandatory review is based upon a review copy from NetGalley.

Fans of Naigle know that she has a knack for writing heart warming small town romances set during the holiday season. In this latest, Sheila is looking for a bit of a respite from life after a divorce and just too much work. Decorating a tree is about as much as she can handle but then she meets Tucker, the dreamy town fire chief, is helping a family who lost everything in a fire. This is not just their love story, it's also the story of the town and its people. Lots of positivity here. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A good read.

Christmas in Chestnut Ridge is a sweet Christmas story. Written by Nancy Naigle, the story takes you on a journey from city girl meets country boy.
Sheila Aldridge is a real estate broker from Richmond VA. When her best friend asks her to join her for Christmas Sheila doesn't see how she can step away from her lucrative business. But as things are always slow during the holidays, she decides to make the trip. Mostly to help Natalie with the Christmas Tree Stoll. Sheila meets Fire Chief Tucker and sparks start to fly.
Clean and heart warming, it is a perfect small town Christmas story. It was fun to read a story that was about kindness and caring of neighbors.
I received a complimentary ebook copy from the publisher, through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

The perfect Christmas love story! Two people from totally different worlds come together with no thoughts of changing their lives - but chance has other ideas!
Totally enjoyable and reminds us what Christmas is all about!

This is a super sweet, cozy, festive story about friends and neighbors giving back to each other during the holiday season - and the connections they make along the way. A great, comforting story for the holidays!
Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

I always enjoy reading Christmas books in December. They are light and easy, and keep me in the Christmas spirit. Christmas in Chestnut Ridge is the perfect such Christmas story. I actually read this one in September, and now I am SO ready for the Christmas season.
Author Nancy Naigle develops Chestnut Ridge for the setting of this delightful, heartwarming Christmas tale. The small-town atmosphere is idyllic - good, old-fashioned values, gathering with and looking after your neighbors and lending a helping hand. With vivid descriptions, she incorporates so many delightful Christmas traditions. You can't help but feel the Christmas spirit.
Thank you to Net Galley for the advance copy. I can't wait to purchase the hard copy for my Christmas collection. Also great for gift-giving.

Sheila is a workaholic. The fact that her friend talks her into spending Christmas in Chestnut Ridge is a minor miracle. There she will not only rediscover the magic of Christmas but also maybe find the love of her life. Wonderful story.

Big city gal, Sheila, owner of a very successful real estate business, is visiting her friend in the small town of Chestnut Ridge. She participates in several Christmas events and finds herself falling for the small town, its people, and a certain fire captain.
I loved this book! It gives you all the Christmas feels.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I seem to have a knack for discovering a book is part of a series when it's not the first one. Sometimes it's the third. Sometimes it's the seventh. "Christmas in Chestnut Ridge" is actually the second in a series, which I somehow missed when I requested the book from Netgalley. But honestly, it could be read as a stand-alone. (Though now I want to go find the first!)
This novel is a sweet, slow-burn Christmas romance that doesn't push any of it in your face. I love the small-town vibes, the big-city girl who visits only because her friend asked and wants her help with the Christmas Tree competition, and doesn't really fight too much because she enjoyed the last time she visited.
We get to see so much of life in Chestnut Ridge, including the firefighters battling blazes around homes and how the community rallies around the family that lost their home to help however they can.
I love the Christmas Tree contest! And, of course, the slow-burn romance between Sheila and the fire captain, Tucker, over the course of the novel. There's plenty of humor, companionship, and holiday goodness.
(Though, I do want to smack that one firefighter for his idiot comment toward the end of the book. And seriously--none of them thought to check on Sheila or provide an update?)
Okay, this is definitely a book I will add to my holiday reread pile!

Well if this cute story doesn't scream holiday cheer, I don't know what would! Chestnut ridge feels like a Hallmark movie town, and we all get the privilege of visiting it. Though part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. I felt happy while reading, which is all I can ask for!

🎅 Second book in the Chestnut Ridge series? Yes, please! And even though I haven't read the first one (And Then There Was You), this gem totally works as a stand-alone. 💫 That said, there were definitely a few references where I could tell knowing the backstory would’ve added an extra sprinkle of magic to the read! ✨
Meet Sheila Aldridge—a powerhouse real estate broker from Richmond, VA 🏙️, who’s all about the hustle, micromanaging her team, and letting her personal life take a backseat. 🚗💨 When her bestie invites her to Chestnut Ridge for a two-week Christmas getaway, she reluctantly agrees. What follows? A total transformation in Sheila’s perspective! She discovers the charm of small-town life 🎁, a community that feels like family, and a budding romance that’ll warm your heart. ❤️
I absolutely LOVED the festive Christmas vibes 🎄, the charming locals of Chestnut Ridge, and the touching acts of kindness sprinkled throughout (without ever feeling preachy, which I appreciate! 🙌). The descriptions of the annual Christmas Stroll? Picture-perfect—think stadium full of gorgeously decorated trees. 🌲✨ And the romance between Sheila and Tucker, the oh-so-relatable Fire Chief 🚒, was just the right mix of sweet and realistic. 💕
Oh, and heads up: the epilogue hints at a third installment! I’m already counting down the days for more Chestnut Ridge magic. ⏳📚

Chestnut Ridge is a perfect place to spend Christmas. Sheila and Tucker were a great pair. The whole town is pretty amazing in how they come together to help others who need a hand. It's a wonderful example of Christmas magic. I loved visiting this town again. The book is such a feel good story that you'll want to find a way to help someone who needs it this holiday season. It is such a feel good romance. I received an advance copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Christmas in Chestnut Ridge is such a heart filling holiday read. I loved this so much. I could feel the small town holiday spirit all the way through. Tucker is the chief firefighter who is married to his job. Shelia is feeling a little off for the holidays now that her best friend has moved. I love how Shelia is welcomed with open arms as she celebrates the holidays with her best friend. I love the slow build with Tucker and Shelia. You get the feels when it comes to those two. I really could not get enough of this one. Shelia and Tucker give you the holiday spirit within a small town. You need to click this now.

While this story can be read as a standalone, I felt like I was missing something. Goodreads doesn’t indicate this book is part of a series, but I felt like the story alluded to the history of other characters that I didn’t know anything about.
This was a cute story, but perhaps a little too wholesome for me. I can’t quite put my finger on it. I don’t know if the dialogue just seemed too formal, or too prim and proper to me, or what is was. This is definitely a case of it’s me, not the story.
All in all though, it really was a charming story. A big city girl goes to a small town to visit her friend and falls in love. It certainly has Hallmark Christmas movie written all over it – which makes perfect sense since I see this author does have several Hallmark Christmas movies.

Shelia needs a change. Her business is thriving, but, her personal life is not. When her best friend convinces her to take a trip to Chestnut Ridge for the holidays, she has no idea how different life will look for her when she returns.
Arriving under the premise that she's helping decorate a Christmas tree for the Christmas Tree Stroll fundraiser, Shelia sets off on a much-needed break. What she doesn't realize is that the town will leave a mark on her heart and that Tucker, the fire captain, will be one more reason she must account for with staying.
Heart-warming, emotional, yet also practical, Nancy Naigle gives you the perfect Christmas present with Christmas in Chestnut Ridge.

Loved this story. Natalie, Sheila's best has invited her to come spend Christmas in Chestnut Ridge and help her decorate a Christmas Tree in the Christmas tree stroll. She decides to go .She stays at Oreon's place . She meets Tucker , the Fire chief. That night there is a fire that destroys the home of Diane and Jack's family home. Sheila sees how the town pulls together and decides to help too. See everything that Natalie and Sheila do to secure a place for them to live and how everyone pitches in. Sheila spends time with Tucker and by Christmas Eve she has some decisions to make. Does she decided to move to Chestnut Ridge, This is A GREAT READ.

This is a really nice story! It moves fast, has great characters and location. It will definitely get you in the holiday spirit. Definitely add to your holiday reading list

Sheila, a divorced real estate agent, has a best friend, Natalie, who has moved away to Chestnut Ridge. With Christmas quickly approaching, Natalie had invited Sheila to spend Christmas with her and Randy. Natalie needs help decorating a Christmas tree for a town contest! After much convincing, Sheila agrees to come help. Can they win the contest? When tragedy strikes Chestnut Ridge, Sheila offers a helping hand. Will this be the Christmas that brings Sheila what she is looking for?
A heartwarming and entertaining story set during Christmas, in a beautiful and welcoming town. It was fun and refreshing to read a book with kind, caring and compassionate characters. Who wouldn’t want to live there? A great book to add to your holiday reads.
Thanks to St. Martin's Press (St. Martin's Griffin), I was provided an ARC of Christmas in Chestnut Ridge by Nancy Naigle via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Nancy Naigle's Christmas in Chestnut Ridge is a heartwarming tale of love set in the holiday season in the charming mountain town of Chestnut Ridge. The story immediately drew me in with its enchanting Christmas atmosphere and engaging storytelling that truly embodies the spirit of the season. The reunion with Natalie Maynard from the previous book added an extra element of excitement that kept me hooked from the very beginning.

I want to experience Christmas in Chestnut Ridge, BADLY! The small town, the never ending holiday spirit, the romance!!!!! I fell in love with the characters, and I damn near cried at every time the town came together to help someone in need. This book was amazing.
