Erin Hahn doesn't miss! This one is a swoony, friends to lovers, best friend's little sister love story. The slow burn between the characters made their relationship feel so natural and real. Throw in the kiddos, a dog & fishing and I'm hooked. I'll definitely be purchasing when it's released in October.

Catch and Keep" is a cozy, heartwarming read that truly shines in its charming setting of Northern Wisconsin, where Maren Laughlin starts anew by taking over a run-down bait shop. Her unexpected ally, Josiah Cole, the resort owner with a big heart and even bigger challenges, makes for delightful company. The banter between Maren and Joe is a highlight, full of warmth and wit, and their easy chemistry is a breath of fresh air. As the story unfolds, their relationship grows effortlessly, drawing you in and making the ending especially satisfying. It’s in the last half of the book that I found myself loving the book even more, rooting for their sweet, well-earned resolution. Perfect for anyone looking for a feel-good romance with plenty of heart and humor.

I love everything Erin Hahn writes, but I've definitely already preordered this one so I can go back to it again and again. Regular Guy Joe might be my new favorite hero. He's just trying so hard to do his best by everyone and he cares so much it hurts. Maren is understandably wary with a really interesting relationship with her family. When they come together it's magic and I couldn't put it down. I loved Maren's family relationships and getting to see her set boundaries in her life. Joe's kids were adorable and I loved his parents. Getting to see old favorites from previous books was just the icing on the cake!

Thank you NetGalley and Erin Hahn for an eARC of Catch and Keep. I absolutely loved everything about this book. Hahn is a new author for me, I requested this book because of the setting. A native of Wisconsin, I spent every summer going "up north" to a lake, there is nothing quite like it. I loved the character development in this book and duel POV is my favorite. I cannot wait to back track and read more from Erin Hahn. The only negative about this book is the pub date! It would have made for the PERFECT summer beach read.

This book is actually 4.5 stars. I really loved it. It is easily my fave of Erin hahn’s trilogy of adult novels. I loved the idea of a former fishing influencer and her brothers best friend. The shared history and her relationship with his kids warmed my heart. I also was deeply interested in the conflicts with her stalker and his ex wife. In particular I thought the way they wrote his daughter’s autism was so well done.

This is a hug in book form

I loved this one! Maren is four years younger than Joe so they were never really friends growing up. But as she spends more time with him and his kids, they become friends and develop feelings for each other. I love how organic their relationship felt. Nothing felt forced to me. They went from familiar to friendly to more. Maren and Joe's relationship with each other and Maren's relationship with his kids is beautiful.

I love the lake resort setting and Maren's history as a fishing YouTuber is so fun. I think the way Lucy's autism was presented was done well.

This is the first book I have read by Erin Hahn but I will definitely read more! Perfect for Abby Jimenez fans who want a spicier read. Fun and lighthearted while also tackling difficult subjects with emotional depth!

I don't read a ton of contemporary romances these days, but I've now read 5 of Erin's books in the last year. I will read absolutely anything she writes.

She manages to write her characters in a way that feels so authentic. They may have challenges that they need to work through, but they are always met with realistic actions and care.

Catch and Keep is no different. At the beginning of the book, we meet Maren, who returns to her childhood summer stomping grounds after an epically terrible proposal and subsequent breakup. She sets out to renovate a property she inherited but doesn't anticipate how her life will also change. Enter Josiah Cole, her brother's best friend and single dad.

Now, there are a lot of tropes in this that aren't usually my thing (small town, brother's best friend, single dad), but I trusted Erin to take me on the journey and I'm so glad I did. I loved these two.

Erin is an auto-read author for me. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC of this book for an honest review.

The leads in this story, with their rich backstories and emotional depth, quickly captured my attention and kept me invested throughout the novel. What stood out to me was the dynamic between the main characters. Their evolving relationship, marked by both challenges and moments of vulnerability, was portrayed with such authenticity that it felt like witnessing real-life growth and connection. This emotional resonance is something I always look for in a good romance, and Hahn delivered it beautifully.

Infinity stars! This is what all other romcoms want to be. This is book set the bar moving forward. I will read anything that Erin Hahn writes.

Catch and Keep-- just marvelous. It was a brother's best friend/childhood romance, slight age gap (5 years), and NO third act breakup.

After Joe, left the military to settle back where he grew up with his wife and two kids, he quickly learned that that was not the life his wife wanted. After learning of their youngest's autism, Kiley decided to abandon her family leaving Joe to put his life back together for himself and his kids.

Maren, after declining a marriage proposal gone wrong, went back to where she considered the best part of her childhood to deal with an inheritance that was a bait shop and apartment. Renovations planned and then onto her next chapter-- whatever that was.

These two, or rather four, fall into an easy rhythm with some hiccups along the way. Their story was emotional and beautiful. I could not stop rooting for their lovestory.

I don't want to have left the resort and I will revisit time and time again! Already a favorite book of mine

This is my first Erin Hahn book and I picked it for that reason.

I adored this book. The read was well paced and a “comfort” read. The two main characters are well written and interesting on their own, but also together. The dynamics of the relationships, friendships, and family really warmed my heart, because it felt very natural and true to how those relationships would be. The spice was the perfect amount without being too much for the story and characters.

It comes with alot of background story, while also keeping an even pace in the current story. I highly recommend this for someone looking for a feel good easy Romance read. I cant wait to dive into more of her books!

Admittedly, I picked this one up because it releases on my birthday. I was so happy I did because it was a fun and heartwarming love story. I loved the slow burn and the chemistry between the main characters. Nice amount of spiciness and love how the book ended. I did not love her older brother's character even after he apologized. Wasn't sure how far the Bryce subplot was going to go and it made me a bit anxious every time she had an encounter with him. Excited to read Erin Hahn's other books as this was my first by her.

Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for an arc of this book.

Josiah and Maren. I really enjoyed this book and the character development of both of them. This is a story of two people who “shouldn’t” be together but clearly are meant to be. It was a very sweet stories with lots of relationships that made the book that much richer - friends, family, former loves. I loved how inspiring and strong Maren’s character was and showed readers that you can be strong and find love and someone that supports and lifts you up. Overall, this was a great read that I would recommend to others.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for an advanced copy. I loved this. The outdoors, the water, fishing, resorts…I loved seeing the characters from the previous books return. This was such a sweet book and I really loved it.

US pub date: 10/15/24
Genre: romance (friends to lovers, brother's best friend)
Quick summary: When Maren's boyfriend steals her promotion at their national park (and then proposes!), she flees to her hometown fishing hole to fix up an inherited bait shop. She falls into a rhythm with her brother's best friend Josiah and this two kids - will they decide to catch each other?

This is my first book by Erin Hahn, and I loved the strong sense of place and the unique characters. I haven't been to Northern Wisconsin, but Hahn made it sound like a beautiful fishing paradise. It was cool seeing Maren get back into her passion for fishing and sharing that with Josiah's son Anders. The romance felt very grounded in reality, and it had me feeling all the feels. This forms a loose series with BUILT TO LAST and FRIENDS DON'T FALL IN LOVE, and I'm excited to check those out next!

Thank you to St. Martin's Griffin for providing an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I have been provided with a review copy of this title from NetGalley for an impartial review. I was just drawn into this wonderful story and I just couldn’t get enough of it. It was just so easy to get lost in this great story. I just didn’t want it to end. I just lost myself in and I just couldn’t get enough of these interesting characters. I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.

This was a slow start for me because there was a little too much telling rather than showing in this book. Lots of background and thoughts are shared in a direct talking to the reader sort of way which I didn’t love. Also, one thing I hate about the brother’s best friend trope is when the brother thinks he can make decisions for his 34 year old sister and 38 year old best friend like they are not full grown adults, and that is definitely present here. The storyline was cute though, and I loved watching Maren’s interactions with the kids throughout. The way Maren seamlessly fit into the family was well done, and the chemistry between the main characters was also clear. I was rooting for the couple all along, so I say 4 stars.

Thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the ARC!

It was a smooth read with an organic formation of the relationship of the main characters and the evolution of their feelings from childhood acquaintances to lovers.
The ex is a joke, like, people doing public proposal makes it a joke.
But I adored the way he was so protective since the beginning, warming my heart with an immediate chemistry that was slowly worked upon. and their banter!
The fact that Joe was ex navy really was the cherry on top of his character history, along side the forehead kisses.
I loved that it also showed his body insecurities, they usually never talk about men having those type of insecurities and people doesn't really talk about it.

Maren! Joe! Oh my gosh, this is just perfection.

Liam can take a dang SEAT though. What a tool.

In all seriousness, I wasn't sure if I would understand or appreciate this as much as I did Lorelai and Shelby's books - their overarching theme/setting/whatever were concepts that I am familiar with and find interesting. Fishing... Not my jam. BUT - Hahn seamlessly weaves in fishing stuff that at least sounds right to the uneducated reader, and doesn't take away from the actual story. I loved everything about this, so much so that I want to go back and read it for the first time again!

Es un libro muy lindo!
Primera vez que leo a la autora y me gustĂł bastante. Es romance limpio, parece pelĂcula de Hallmark.

I love a book where a woman grows into someone that doesn't take crap from anyone, and Maren definitely does just that. From her ex-boyfriend, to her sort of stalker, and most annoyingly, her big brother, our girl grows a backbone.

Joe (Josiah) is a single dad, and a great dad at that. He is Maren's brother's best friend, which makes things a bit awkward, but who cares? Everyone here is an adult! I love the representation of his autistic daughter, and I love the ways Maren's relationship evolves with both kids, but especially Lucy.

I did think that the concern with Bryce (stalker) would play a bigger role in the story than it did. I sort of wish I'd seen a bigger conclusion with that aspect.
