I really enjoyed this romance - loved the main characters and the older brother's best friend trope. I especially loved the small-town setting. I'll definitely look for this author's other romances. Thanks to St.Martin's Press and Netgalley for the ARC.

Catch and Keep is a perfectly placed story of two people who have come out the other side of heartbreak, are both so deserving of love and find it within each other. It's heartwarming and hopeful and the setting is its own character. Hahn novels just keeps getting better!

🎯 What I loved: This book is the absolute definition of cozy. It takes the ideas of home, place and comfort and wraps them up in the meaningful romance of two beautiful souls. I loved the pacing of this friends to lovers romance and how genuine the connection between Maren and Joe was before their romance started but more than anything, I loved how truly caring both Maren and Joe were to each other and the people around them. Like all of Hahn's novels, there was authentic representation (and I connected with much of Joe's parenting journey on a very personal level) and deeper commentary on more serious issues bookended by the story of a couple. The writing in this one flowed so beautifully and even though this could easily stand alone, it was the perfect book to wrap up Maren, Shelby and Lorelei's stories.

Read if you love:

I adore Erin Hahn and I'm thrilled she is moving to the adult romance category. There is so much to like about this book. Well rounded characters, steamy romance, strong capable women, interesting plot. I already see the possibility for her two best friends getting their own books. Definitely look forward to her next one!

Catch and Keep by Erin Hahn
.
Maren has just turned down her boyfriend’s surprise proposal. She runs away to her happy place, the lake, where she starts working on the bait shop she’s inherited. While there she runs into her off-limits big-brother’s-best-friend, and he is no longer married.
.
What I liked:
-I don’t know how I missed that this is in the same friendship group as two other books by the author. Once I figures that out I was SO MUCH more excited to read it! I love books with great friendship groups, and Maren-Lorelai-Shelby are the best!
-I adored Joe and especially his kids. 🥹😍
-I’m sure I’ve said this before and just forgotten, but I didn’t know how much I enjoyed the “brother’s best friend” trope. It was fantastic in this story.
-I loved seeing glimpses of Shelby and Lorelai too, I especially loved reading Lorelai’s book last year so it warmed my heart to see her again. 🥰
.
4.5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 Excellent read! Erin Hahn is an auto-read author of mine now. 🙌🏻

this is such a sweet, cozy, special story! I really love the cozy setting of a small coastal town in northern wisconsin, surrounded by mountains and water and just all the peaceful nature. Maren and Josiah are so incredibly sweet together. both have known some topsy turvy upsets in life but they really find their strive and purpose with themselves and with each other in this story. it’s so special to see their little found family and friends come together in such a cozy, reflective, fun romcom. the kiddos, the pups, the side characters all make this story so special and fun to read!

thank you for the arc :)

𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 & 𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩 (PUB 101.5) is what I describe as a romance with heft. It's a breath of fresh air while also taking a deeper look at being a divorced single parent with a child on the spectrum (him) and reinventing your life after an abrupt change (her).

I've been a resident of NorthCentral WI for the past 20+ years and have spent many a weekend "up north" at the lake and let me tell you @erinhahn_author NAILS IT! There is such a strong sense of place, but I don't think you need to hail from the Midwest to appreciate this book. Hahn's writing is so immersive that I could feel the breeze off the lake, hear the sound of the fishing boat pulling into shore and smell that quintessential summer blend of trees and sand.

This book was spectacular. Extremely well written. I can’t think of a single thing that I did not like about this book. First off, the setting is in the Northwoods in Wisconsin. Immediate vibes for me. Also included: small town romance, single dad, friends to lovers. I loved how the author portrayed autism and how she talked about the challenges that come with having an autistic child. I loved Maren’s connection to Lucy, who is Joe’s child who has autism; it was so special. An absolute must read when it releases in October. It was so heartwarming and was such a page turner. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I will for sure be checking out her other books. I am head over ass in love with this book. Thank you NetGalley for my ARC!

Catch and Keep was another great romance from Erin Hahn - this time a single-dad, brother's best friend, and friends-to-lovers romance. Maren escapes to her favorite childhood summer vacation spot to recover after a failed and embarrassing proposal experience. But trying to fix up the bait shop she inherited may be more than she can deal with. And her older brother's best friend who runs the resort nearby is trying to get through each day raising his two kids after a rough divorce. Seeing Maren develop such a close relationship with Josiah's children was so heart-warming and beautiful. The way that Maren so easily adapts to their family and quickly learns how best to interact with Lucy and her autism was so sweet. It was also great to see Lorelai, Craig, Cameron, and Shelby pop up from previous books in this series. This was a fun, sexy romance with a lot of heart. There isn't a single Erin Hahn book that I've read that I haven't loved! Definitely recommend! Thank you to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for the chance to read this novel.

I really enjoyed the pacing of the story. It had me engaged from the very beginning. The development of relationships between the MMC and the FMC show the progression from friends to lovers. I enjoyed the representation of a child with autism and some of the struggles that parents/caretakers face. As a mother who has a son that was diagnosed with autism, I felt seen. I might be a bit sensitive, but I didn't like the use of "mental delays." I would have preferred developmental delays but that is just me 🤷🏽‍♀️

I’ve loved every Erin Hahn book in this series and this might be my favorite yet. I loved Maren from her first into in book one and I’m just so thrilled she gets her time to shine and HEA in this one. Maren and Joe have the cutest sweetest older brother’s best friend friends to lovers romance.

It was sweet and authentic and sexy. I loved every moment. I highly recommend this one for fans of contemporary romance.

A big thank you to Netgalley for providing me with an e-arc of this book.

“I want to settle down and be still. I want to belong to someone”

Thank you St. Martin’s Press and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

This book is a warm hug. I enjoyed it so so much. It’s my first book by Erin Hahn and it was an absolute delight! A perfect romance for the transition from summer into fall.

Maren walks away from a marriage proposal and heads home to a decrepit bait shop that was once her favorite place to be. There she finds herself falling for her brother’s best friend and his amazing kids, Lucy and Anders, who love and accept her. They all seem to fit together so effortlessly and it shouldn't be this easy… but maybe that’s a sign that Maren is where she is meant to be.

The story is so sweet and full of family dynamics which I loved. Lucy and Anders are beautifully written. I think capturing the spirit of kids in a story where they are not main characters can sometimes be challenging but Erin Hahn does this so flawlessly. All of the ways Maren and Joe support and care for Anders and especially Lucy who is autistic is so authentic and on point. I loved the attention to detail that is taken with this storyline in particular as the book unfolds.

If you are looking for a feel good story full of coziness and love then this is a perfect pick.

Thank you so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Unfortunately, this book was not for me. I have been struggling with romance lately and this one just didn't work for me.

I couldn't feel the connection between the characters and I didn't care much for the plot. I was just bored and didn't want to keep reading.

I hope others love this one.

🌟 Just finished this heartwarming read, and I can’t stop smiling! 💖 Maren and Joe’s romance took me on a beautiful journey through the ups and downs of love, and it felt so genuine! Their relationship really showcased the reality of adult dating—complete with hurdles that anyone can relate to. And can we talk about Maren connecting with Joe's kids? Lucy and Anders added such a sweet layer to the story, making it all the more special.

But, like life, not everything was perfect… I found myself a bit emotional navigating the struggles of their mother, which added a realness to the story that you just can’t ignore. 🌈 This book isn’t just a romance; it’s truly about building connections and creating a family, even amidst the chaos. Huge shoutout to Erin Hahn, St. Martin's Press, and NetGalley for giving me an advanced copy! 📚✨ Have you read anything lately that touched your heart? I loved this sweet romance between Maren and Joe. The pace of their relationship felt very mature and the hurdles they faced felt real for adults navigating new love. I also really enjoyed the storyline of Maren connecting with Joe's children. Both Lucy and Anders found their own relationships with her and it was interesting to see how their bond formed. I did struggle a bit with their mother's storyline struggling to parent her kids. It was sad and a little upsetting but I guess that is true to life. This is a great romance but also just a wonderful story about building a family. Thanks to Erin Hahn, St. Martin's Press, and NetGalley for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

This is such a cute and heart warming book. This is a hallmark movie but in book form. Like seriously hallmark movie!!

Maren is the little sister of his best friend. She used to annoy him and be obsessed with fishing. But now she is gorgeous, all grown up and starting over after breaking up with her boyfriend.

Joe is Maren’s brother’s best friend. She grew up watching him hang out with her brothers and never thought twice about him when she went to college and started her life.

But now Maren is back in town and Joe is struggling to keep it together after his divorce. He has two beautiful kids to raise on his own and a resort to run, but he needs help. Joe and Maren easily fall into a rhythm when she starts helping around the house and resort. Now his bestie friend’s little sister doesn’t seem so little and annoying anymore.

This book is well written. There are a couple typos that need to be fixed but other than that it is great. It’s not too long or too short. I am so glad that the author portrays an autistic child so appropriately and correct in this book. Many authors usually portray them in a negative light and this book doesn’t do that. I appreciate that a lot. The slow burn isn’t too slow and the book isn’t solely smut so that’s nice. I highly enjoyed this book and all the characters.

Mare and Joe’s story was cozy and sweet. The setting is quaint and comforting. Their interactions are largely believable. Their conflict is genuine (though the stalker and the rude brother are a bit overblown). Children in romance stories are often terribly written and unbelievable, but Anders and Lucy were perfect. They seemed like real kids who were present in the story without being overbearing. The autism representation in Lucy was spot on from my own personal experience as a mother of an autistic daughter. It warmed my heart to read the awareness and love surrounding this precious girl. The struggles and the joy.

Thanks to NetGalley for the eARC of this book. There are three friends: Shelby Springfield, Lorelai Jones, and Maren Laughlin. Erin Hahn has previously released books on Shelby and Lorelai, and this is the last book about Maren's love story. Once again, I didn't want to put down a book Erin had written. I finished it in a day. She does a great job with having more than one point of view. We get both Maren's point of view and Josiah (Joe) Cole's. I would have to go back and look at the other two books, but I felt like we got more of Joe's point of view throughout the book compared to the men in the other two books, but I enjoyed that.

Maren's boyfriend of a year proposes to her very publicly, and she turns him down and runs away to Wisconsin to the resort that her family went to every summer, where her old friend Fost has left her his bait shop and the apartment that goes with it. She decides to fix it while figuring out what to do with her life. While working on that, she runs into Josiah Cole, her oldest brother's best friend. He's divorced with two children. He does so much for everyone else, and she decides she wants to help him. His youngest is autistic, and she sees a place where she can fit into their family. She fits in so well that he takes notice of her, and she takes notice of him. Liam is very opposed, and Maren also knows that Joe has to think about not only himself but also his two children, and his ex is in the background.

Of course, Shelby, Lorelai, and their men make appearances in the book, so we get to see how all the stories tie together.

Can they find a way to express their feelings and turn this friendship into something more? Will her brother finally approve of their wanting to be in a relationship? Will his children accept her into their life as more than just a friend?

"Obviously, matching your manicure with your lures isn't a requirement to be a successful fisher-person, but we think it adds a little something extra."

I've been one to rail against single dad romances and brother's-best-friend romances lately, but this one was pretty darn cute. I loved how it actually felt like a real small town, not just a Hallmark town, with clear effects of tourist seasons in how things worked. The supporting cast from Hahn's previous books showed up in just the right dose, enough to give Hahn's readers a sense of satisfaction but not overwhelming to those who have not read the previous two books in the trilogy. The autism rep in Lucy was SO well done - her meltdowns were very realistic and weren't glossed over into the "quirky" autism rampant in romance novels lately. I also like that Joe never was parental to Maren when they were kids, they were more like ships passing in the night, which made the story a lot stronger.

And of course, the romance itself. The chemistry was palpable, the slow burn was stellar, and it was perfectly cozy and heartwarming in the best ways.

Should the Bryce subplot be stronger? Yes. Were there times were Maren seemed a little TOO perfect as the ultimate girly girl and tomboy with the former YouTube and pageant fame? Yes. Did it fall into some of the pitfalls of brother's-best-friend? Absolutely. But overall this was an enjoyable read that was perfect for a summer evening.
