Sometimes you just need a warm and gooey romance to lift your spirits, and Catch and Keep delivered just that. Single Dad that’s yummy, thoughtful, and sexy? Sign me right up! I loved the family angle of this story just as much as I loved the romantic parts.

Loved it, would definitely recommend to all romance lovers!

Thank you to Netgalley and St. Martin’s Press for this advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. Opinions are all my own.

Thank you for the ARC!

I was actually really excited to get the chance to read this book but I found myself not being the biggest fan of it. I couldn't really connect to any of the characters because a lot of the dialogue felt really forced. I went into this book aware that the couple would end up together but actually reading it; the content of the couple felt too forced in a way which made me not really root for them by the end of the book.

Thank you for the opportunity to read!

This book is the cozy contemporary romance read with a single dad and an older brother’s best friend romance.

Maren is a mid 30s park ranger running from a bad relationship/proposal gone wrong. She runs off to a small lake town where she grew up and was willed property from old man Fost. and gets help from an old childhood friend, Joe and his family to help fix up the property . I really enjoyed her love for fishing.

Joe is a mid 30s, ex-marine, single dad with two kids (one with ASD) and a horrible ex-wife. Joe and Maren’s older brother are best friends and they all grew up together at the lake.

Joe’s daughter is autistic, which makes their story even more interesting and lovable as Maren falls for his 2 children and they fall for her. And did I mention the dog? Her dog plays a big part in the story which I loved. The chemistry between them during the few spicy scenes was great.

I also enjoyed the banter between her and her friends during the few text messages where they discuss their life and relationships.

The last 1/3 of the book was my favorite when they finally become a true family. The love between Joe, Maren and the kids is heartwarming.

Huge thanks to NetGalley, St. Martin’s Press and Erin Hahn for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Catch and Keep was such a fun read. It was light hearted and I loved reading about the characters and the relationships. This is one where FMC falls in love with brother best friend and it was done well. I also enjoyed the personality, relationship, and character of the kids in the story. It was a fun and easy read that had me rooting for the characters!

I loved this book! Set in Northern Wisconsin, the imagery was spot on. Maren was so likeable and Josiah was swoon-worthy. The spice was perfect and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire story. I'll definitely be checking out more by this author. Big thanks to NetGalley, St. Martin's Griffin Publishing and Erin Hahn for the ARC of this great read.

Catch and Keep was a very heartfelt and enjoyable. It tells the story of Maren, who after turning down a proposal needs a break and turns to her childhood comfort place. Which is a little bait shop and place by the waterfront doing was she love most, fishing. There she reconnects with her brother's friend Joe and they help each other find what's missing.

Joe is a single dad of two kids, Anders and Lucy. It shows their loving relationship and how he has manage to accept his kids as they are and also learn how to accommodate Lucys needs being autistic. It felt very genuine and real, showing the good days and the not so easy days. Their mom not being able to deal with all of it made me very sad and though it's a story I'm sure it's the reality of a lot of people. Maren becomes a part if their live and is encouraging and accepting, I really liked how she handled trying to be helpful and honest to the kids, specially Anders. I think it help solidify Maren and Joe's relationship.

I think they spent too much time thinking of each other as sibling like in the beginning, all due to her brother Liam. Let me tell you, he made me so mad. The way he would talk to her like she was a little kid was so condescending. Kept calling her kid when she is 33, telling her how irresponsible she was like she was just being a bum. Not even her parents were nagging her that much. I know at the end he apologized and all but he's one of the most infuriating character I have ever read.

Thank You to NetGalley, St. Martin's Press for the opportunity to read this ARC and share my honest opinion.

Thank you to Netgalley and St. Martin’s Press for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really liked this book. It follows Maren (FMC) and Joe's (MMC) love story. Joe is a single dad of two children (one who is autistic) whom Maren falls in love with which is super sweet to read about. Additionally, I loved the chemistry between the two. It felt authentic and I felt like Erin Hahn wrote a beautiful story around real-life issues. This book was different from what I normally read and I'm not even sorry about it. It also made me think I could be an "outdoor person" when in reality I know I cannot.

btw: there's a dog and it's amazing.

Read if you like:

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC. I had never read a book by this author before this book. I really enjoyed this. A friends to lover romance about a girl who comes home and falls in love with her brother’s best friend, it was sweet and romantic and with just the right amount of spice. I would read another one by this author.

This was my first Erin Hahn book and it did not disappoint! Catch and Keep is a brother’s best friend, single dad romance set in a small town in Wisconsin. Maren goes back to her childhood hometown after her boyfriend gets the job she applied for and proposes to her in a very public way (her worst nightmare.) Josiah is the childhood best friend of Maren’s older brother. He is an ex-Marine and single dad to 2 very cute kids. I loved the connection between Maren and Joe and how their relationship develops organically. I loved how they communicated so well and said exactly what they were thinking.
My favorite part of the book is the banter between Maren and her best friends, Lorelai and Shelby. They are featured in Erin’s previous books but this can be read as a standalone.

Another fun adult romance by Erin Hahn! I didn’t love this quite as much as Built to Last and Friends Don’t Fall in Love, but Catch and Keep is still a delightful, easy to read story. I loved Maren and Joe and the cameos by Lorelai and Shelby. As a Michigander, I also loved the Midwest setting. Can’t wait for more romances by Hahn!

This is my first Erin Hahn story but not my last! I read this book within 24 hours! I quite literally couldn't put it down! I was immediately captivated by the very first chapter. As a girl who was born and raised in Wisconsin, this was awesome! I also grew up camping and fishing up north so I just enjoyed the nostalgia and familiarity this book had with me.

Hahn's writing effortlessly captures the nuances of human emotion, inviting readers to empathize with the struggles and triumphs of her characters. Maren and Josiah's romance is tender and authentic, blossoming amidst the backdrop of their shared love for family and the natural beauty of their surroundings.

I've been really enjoying Erin Hahn's books and this one didn't disappoint. Filled with romance and complex relationships, I really loved the way the author developed the story. I loved this book! I am same age as FMC& found Maren to be inspiring and resilient with what she was presented with. This is my first Erin Hahn and realized I might should know more of the friends stories, and I’ll be putting those on my TBR!! I felt like things finished up a bit quick at the end but a very enjoyable book!

Smart, mature, sweet, romantic, sexy, feel-good, and oh-so-comforting!

Those are just a few words to describe this refreshing take on the brother's-best-friend romance trope. I was fortunate enough to get an advanced reader's copy from Netgalley for honest review prior to the release of the book.

A very strong 4-star read for me! This book had me smiling the entire time and made my heart feel light and happy. The writing flows beautifully, a perfect mixture of internal vs external dialog and sensory descriptiveness that has you feeling as if you are there with the characters. Both main characters are relatable, lovable and engaging. Plus, as an added bonus, they are both smart and mature, and they actually communicate their feelings! I know! So simple, yet so revolutionary in this genre where miscommunication and stupid decisions tend to rule characters' storylines. You won't get any of that in Catch and Keep. YOU ONLY GET THE GOOD STUFF! All of the secondary characters are extremely lovable too (except the "bad guys" that we love to hate).

Technical doodads:
- Stand-alone novel with HEA ending
- Tropes: Brother's best friend / Small Town / Single Dad / Contemporary Romance / Second chance at love
- 1st person narrative in present tense (alternating POV)
- Characters in their 30's (MFC 33 and MMC 38)
- Spice level is moderate: 3-4 beautifully descriptive sex scenes. Definitely not erotica but spicy enough to get the reader to feel the tension and the passion. For those who don't like sex-on-page, it's not too overwhelming, so if you choose to skip the sex, you won't be cutting out major sections of the book.
- Triggers / Warnings / Audience: Adult audience due to descriptive sex on page. Swearing and language. Alcohol (recreational consumption only)

I have absolutely loved this series by Erin Hanh and the third book was so wonderful. I loved the character development and the slow burn of family friends to being in love. The kids were so dreamy and I loved that it shared an honest glimpse into parenting and neurodivergence.

Erin has once again completely stolen my heart with her story! Our FMC and MMC are so sweet to each other and the perfect mix of friends to lovers and brother’s best friend! I loved the dynamic with Joe’s children and how well they were represented and the spice was perfectly executed!
