After turning down her boyfriend’s proposal and derailing any chance of a promotion at work, 33 year old Maren moves back home to her Northern Wisconsin town. She inherited a bait shop and home that are both falling apart from an old family friend and she decides it's time to fix them up. There she runs into Joe, her brother’s best friend who is a divorced single dad now. He owns a few cabins in the area and offers Maren a place to stay.
I Love Erin Hahn’s writing and this book was one of my favorites by her. I am not in any way an outdoorsy person, but Erin managed to make me want to spend some time in a secluded cabin. I adored the close-knit families in this story and Joe’s daughter Lucy has a special plce in my heart. I also loved Joe and Maren together and how they slowly fell for each other even though they tried hard to fight it. This book was so good!
Zura Johnson and Michael Norman Johnson did a phenomenal job bringing the audiobook to life. I could listen to their narration all day, it was so engaging!
Thank you to SMP Romance, Spotify Audiobooks, and NetGalley for the advance copies.

Thank you to St. Martin's Press, NetGalley and Erin Hahn for the ARC of Catch and Keep! I LOVED it!
There wasn't a single thing I didn't love about this book (besides Kylie). I loved that Maren was a fisherwoman. I loved Joe as the single dad. I thought the two of them worked so well together. There was a solid plot and storyline, with a little bit of psycho tension, an over protective brother, and really cute kids! I haven't seen any buzz about this one on Booksta and I can't believe it! If you're into romances, this one is worth it! The outdoorsy backdrop adds so much character and charm. Catch and Keep is an all around great time!

This is out now so go grab a copy
I am really not into the girl that runs away from a guy to end up with her older brothers best friend kind of story but this one kept my attention and I enjoyed reading a few chapters every evening before bed, I could easily have read this in one setting but life and such always get in the way. It doesn't hurt that this was set at a lake resort either.
My thanks to NetGalley, the author and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I can’t recall reading any other single dad troupes but it may be my new troupe of choice!
After a breakup and questioning her choices in life, Maren returns to her favorite family vacation spot, the lakes of Wisconsin, from her childhood. She reconnects with her brother’s best friend, Joe, a newish single dad.
She consistently starts showing up for Joe and his kids. Her relationship with his kids really is the one that got me. She pursued a connection with each of them by using her knowledge of fishing and her fun dog to make a connection.
This novel was layered with heavy topics but through it all Maren and Joe were such a source of comfort for one another and weather through it together.
I just learned this is the 3rd book in a series but totally worked as a stand alone read! Check this one out for a slow-burn, warm and fuzzy romance!

I debated requesting this book; I'm so glad I did!
Catch and Keep is the perfect tale of two people who have lived a life (or part of it, anyway) and are ready to move on and do their best with what they have left. I adored the main characters.(and their names.) Maren and Josiah are presented as adult characters dealing with adult (including "parent-related") things set in Wisconsin. The attraction is obvious but, as responsible adults, will Maren and Joe be able to balance all of their responsibilities in addition to their desires for each other?
This book was everything . . . and now I need to book a trip to Wisconsin. :)
Thank you, NetGalley for the ARC!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the copy. Catch and Keep is Erin Hahn’s third adult book. It is part of a series, but can be read alone. I previously read the other two books, and I enjoyed Catch and Keep the must. It’s follows Maren as she flees her life in Michigan to north Wisconsin to fix up her inheritance. While there she reconnects with Joe, a single father who she’s known since childhood. I really enjoyed the story and all the different aspects. Even though I’m not big on fishing, it was written in a way where you don’t need to know much. I highly recommend if you want a single dad romance story.

“You paid attention. You noticed and you didn’t wait for an invitation. You just came over and filled the hole I didn’t even realize was there. For my kids, sure, but in me as well.”
Things are not going well for Maren. After breaking up with her boyfriend of a year and being passed over for a big promotion at work, she packs up all her things and heads to Wisconsin, to a place that’s always felt like home. What should only be a temporary stay, while Maren works on some property that was left to her, turn into more, when she starts to fall for Joe, who happens to be her brothers oldest friend, and his two adorable children.
I love single-dad romances, and this one did not disappoint . The kids, Anders and Lucy, were so precious. I loved watching the for their own special bond with Maren.
Maren has not been having the best time lately, and can’t help but feel behind compared to her friends and her siblings, which I found extremely relatable. I loved watching her figure things out and do what was best for her, and mostly important do what made her happy. Joe was the absolutely sweetest and most caring dad. The chemistry and tension between him and Maren was great and I loved reading about them falling hard for each other.
This was such a sweet and cozy romance, and the perfect fall read. I devoured this book in two days over the weekend, and can’t too thinking about it and the characters and the beautiful setting. Thank you to the publisher for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

One of the things that I love about Hahn’s writing is that she writes in Dual POV, has since the beginning. But she not only writes in Dual POV, she makes sure to include everyday things, such as insecurities both physical and emotional in both the female and male POV.
She also makes sure that both POVs have or create a community around them with which to talk. About anything and everything. I adore the way Hahn writes relationships, with so much mutual gusto and no qualms about it. Maren and Joe were absolutely adorable.
The way they didn’t really fight their feelings and just cautiously dived in was perfect. To speak nothing of the best characters of all, the children. Anders was just about the cutest, mightiest man there ever was and Lucy was honestly so lovable from the start, I don’t know how what happened in the book happened.
I was right there with Maren and her feelings. The other thing I absolutely adore about Hahn’s writing is her chapter titles are song titles and my type of neurospicy is one where just the name or part of a lyric will trigger the song playing in my head. It makes for a really good playlist.
The joy in CaK is real and absolutely wonderful. I loved it.

Catch and Keep is a delightful romance that had just the right balance of charm, chemistry, and heart. The characters were lovable, and their story kept me engaged from start to finish. This was my first read by the author, and it certainly won’t be my last. If you’re looking for a sweet and satisfying romance, I highly recommend this one.
Thank you to the publisher for this Arc. This Arc was provided in exchange for my honest review

single dad and brothers best friend? YES PLEASEEEE. Maren and Joe were perfect together! I loved these two but what i loved even more was how amazing Maren was with his kids, like so sweet! This was definitely a slow burn and i was all for it! These two had amazing chemistry and i really enjoyed this one! Will definitely be reading more by Erin in the future!

"Catch and Keep" was a too-sweet-for-words novel that had such an endearing cast of characters, layers of compelling conflicts, and extra steaminess on the side.
I loved Maren and her passion for fishing and the outdoors. She's a relatable character who just wants to be seen as capable and good enough as a sibling, a romantic partner, and an employee.
Sweet, warmhearted Joe is a fantastic single dad raising his kids with unwavering love and devotion. He owns up to his past mistakes and works hard to do better in the future.
I loved the bond that forms between Maren and Joe's kids as well as the one that reforms between Maren and Joe. She's patient, respectful, and supportive, never overstepping. She seamlessly fitted into their day-to-day life.
I was quite entertained by this heartwarming read. Erin Hahn did a great job depicting how difficult but doable starting over and confidently planning a new future can be. She made the picturesque northern Wisconsin setting feel like home, a welcoming place with open arms. I look forward to more books by Hahn in the future.
Thanks again St. Martin's Griffin and NetGalley for the e-ARC to read in exchange for an honest review!

I enjoyed this one. Maren and Joe had great chemistry. Maren filled the void that had been missing in Joe’s life. I loved the way Maren stepped in and cared for Joes kids as if they were her own. I did however hate the parts with Liam. I get his warnings to Maren about not getting involved with his best friend but his treatment towards her was so uncalled for. I can’t believe no one had said anything to him earlier. This one is perfect if you love brothers best friend, lake vibes, and single dad themes.

4/5
It was a heartwarming story about a 34 year old woman trying to find herself and a 38 year old father of two that was not expecting his best friend's little sister back in his life. I really liked the inclusion of the real life world that families have with autistic children.

4.25 stars!
Erin Hahn’s latest adult romance Catch and Keep might be my favorite one so far. Maybe it’s because I just finished reading it, my heart’s all warm and gooey, but I adored Maren, Joe, Anders, and Lucy! The waterfront autumnal setting in Wisconsin didn’t hurt either. Right book at the right time!
While Hahn’s last three adult romances haven’t been marketed as a series, they all have included connected friends. First we met Shelby in Built to Last, then Lorelai in Friends Don’t Fall in Love, and now it’s Maren’s turn in Catch and Keep. And if you’re a fan of the previous books, you’ll be happy to know Shelby, Lorelai, and their fellas appear throughout this one, as well, but it’s not necessary to know them. It’s just a nice bonus.
Things are rough for Maren at the start of Catch and Keep. She’s left her job as a park ranger, her now ex-boyfriend (who just stole the job she applied for out from under her), and she’s returning to the place she loved most as a child, with familiar surroundings and people—including her brother’s best friend, Josiah. Oh, and his two adorable kids.
Joe’s had it rough too, becoming a single dad when his wife and high-school sweetheart couldn’t accept their daughter’s autism diagnosis.
Maren and Joe soon discover they get along great, even though Maren’s brother Liam has warned them both to keep it strictly friends, and they each fill a hole neither one realized they desperately needed to fill. They can’t help wondering if it’s so easy, is it real?
I adored Maren and Joe’s journey. It’s sweet and heartwarming and romantic. We get both sides in this dual POV, open door romance. And the kids only enhanced the story. Watching them all fall in love with each other was the best. And if I was rating this one on just these four characters, it would be five stars. But there were a few side characters and stories that felt unrealistic?? Or maybe incomplete. I want to avoid spoilers here, but one storyline didn’t wrap up the way I felt like it needed to. The way it had been built up, I was expecting some serious drama, but it kind of just fizzled out for me. I felt like it was a missed opportunity.
And while I can believe that Joe’s ex-wife would bail when she couldn’t accept their daughter’s diagnosis, it was hard to make the two different parts of her make sense: On one hand, there’s Joe’s high school sweetheart, the woman that followed him every time he moved with the military, the only woman he’d ever been with as a 38 year old man, and then there’s this uncaring and awful mother. I needed more backstory, something more to make the transition make sense; she felt like two different characters.
If you’re a fan of Erin Hahn, and you haven’t read Catch and Keep, grab a cozy blanket, a warm cup of tea, and settle in to be romanced!

A nice book that kept my attention but didn't have me completely hooked. I enjoyed Hahn's writing style and look forward to her next book. Thanks to NetGalley for an advanced copy!

Thank you to the published for an ARC of this novel. At first this novel took me awhile to get into. As the story progressed I start to enjoy the story more. I loved the representation of autism. The slow burn of the relationship between Maren and Josiah at first until they finally came together. The relationship between Jodiah’s children and Maren was also nice to see and how she loves them and is very understanding/accommodating with his daughter’s needs. Overall I enjoyed the story and would recommend if you enjoy the brother’s best friend trope, single dad trope and the outdoors. It also made me think a lot of fall and I think if you like the outdoors you would love the novel as well.

I LOVED everything about this book. If you love Wisconsin, lake life, the Northwoods, and a sweet and beautiful (with a little spice) romance…this is the perfect book for you. This romance story was unique, so sweet, and felt like home. The characters were great and enjoyed the back and forth between narrators. Definitely a book you need to catch and read ❤️

Five enthusiastic, glowing stars for this book! If you had asked me if I would enjoy a romance in which the FMC is an avid fisherwoman I would have laughed in your face. There is basically nothing that sounds less appealing to me than fishing. HOWEVER, I was proved wrong and it was a pleasant surprise!
I think this book is going to resonate with A LOT of readers. We have some amazing tropes: single dad and brother’s best friend. Both main characters are in their 30s and the author didn’t use miscommunication as a plot driver (yay!).
The setting in the Northwoods of Wisconsin was fantastic.
We also have autism representation in the MMC’s daughter. I don’t know if the author has any firsthand experience in this department but, in my opinion, she handled it brilliantly.
This was just an all-around good read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Maren is 33 and just turned down her life upside down. She turned down her boyfriend’s proposal, broke up with him, quit her job, and left her life in Michigan to go to Northern Wisconsin where she spent time as a child. An old man who taught her to fish has left her a bait shop and an apartment in his will. She decides to spend time fixing them up while she decides what to do next.
Her older brother’s best friend, Joe, runs the resort in the area. He’s a single father with 2 kids. Maren starts to work as a fishing guide at the resort and finds herself spending more and more time with Joe and the romance develops from there.
I have never read anything by Erin Hahn before, but I will definitely be going back to read her other books now (there are two interconnected standalones that go along with this one!). This book was SO good and a nice mix of funny and emotional. Maren building a relationship with Joe’s kids made for a really sweet story line.
*Netgalley sent me an ARC of this book in exchange for an unbiased review

Erin Hahn's Catch and Keep is a wonderfully relaxing romance novel with strong characters and a well paced story. I love how the main protagonist, Maren, is not your average girlie-girlie trope. Instead Maren embraces her outdoor natural tendencies and doesn't apologize for knowing her stuff when it comes to fishing or driving a boat. Her independence shines, but she also recognizes the value of having a partner to help you with life's load,
This romance novel is spicy but not off putting and the ending is exactly what the audience is looking for. Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Griffin for the opportunity to read this novel.
