This would be a cute story to read to a child who was visiting Italy or had background knowledge of Pisa and The Leaning Tower. I fear a lot of children would not have the background knowledge for this story to be able to understand the message.

This book was not only fun and colorful, but an important history and language lesson as well. Perfect for little homeschoolers! My kiddo loved it.

I love this book: the message is beautiful and very clear throughout the story (and pictures), the pictures are so well drawn and the Italian details are so good! I love how the story is sweet, there's lots of details in the drawings and at the end there's actual history and information about the tower. I highly recommend!

What a sweet book about being kind and acceptance.

Pisa has been a place many people have loved going to until one day she hears four meanies talk badly about her tilt. She decides to straighten up and then she realizes how much people loved her tilt.

We only hear the negative sometimes. It is important to focus on the positives. Good job enforcing this.

My niece and I enjoyed the rhymes and illustrations all while learning about the Leaning Tower of Pisa. I explained what some of the Italian phrases meant and after we finished reading, we looked the Leaning Tower of Pisa up so that she was able to see what it looked like in real life. It was a cute story and might help to get kids excited about seeing other parts of the world.

Thank you to NetGalley and MB Publishing for allowing me to read an ARC of this novel. #NetGalley #PisaLovesBella

This book captures the reader from the front cover. This is a lovely children's book that shows them other places in the world such as Italy and all of the amazing things they can see such as the leaning tower of Pisa. What I liked about this book was the tower changed because of others and I hope the message behind this to children will show them don't change yourself for anyone, because you are amazing and people love you how you are. The colours, the illustrations and the rhyme element of the story definitely makes this a great read for children/ parents👍

What a cute book about the Leaning Tower of Pisa! The author used it to showcase acts of kindness as Bella explored Pisa. The story was really cute, and my nephew enjoyed it as we read it together.

My children and I really liked Pisa Loves Bella. It flowed nicely and had a rhyming lilt which meant that the reader seamlessly moved through the pages, The illustrations were nice, colourful and inclusive. I wasn’t sure which age range this was targeted at but have since seen it is aimed at 4-8 year olds. I feel like 8 year olds may be a little too old for this book as I felt as though it was a picture book with paragraphs rather than an early chapter book.

I particularly liked that the author, Kimberley Lovato, included a glossary of entry level/ useful Italian words as well as a page dedicated to the basic, child friendly history behind the leaning tower of Pisa and the bells.

This book celebrates kindness and self-acceptance and on a more implicit level, travel.

I would recommend this to readers with young children aged 4-6 years old.

I read this book to my little sister and at the end of it, I asked her what she thought of it. She said it was “amazing” and “incredible”.
The illustrations in this book were very pretty, and the plot was pretty solid. Bella was a good character. We liked how she changed herself after hearing those mean comments, but then realized she was amazing just the way she was.
This story teaches kids a very important lesson: Don’t change yourself for a couple of mean people, because there are people who love you just the way you are, and they matter more than the people who don’t appreciate your true self. At the end of the day, the best person to be is yourself.

My daughters are avid bookworms, so am always looking for new things for them to devour. My 7 year old daughter described it as joyful and romantic and my 4 year old loved the illustrations.
I enjoyed reading this with them

The story of Pisa and its impressive clock tower. Showing the extreme change that happened when the engineering had to be changed to preserve the building. It makes it appealing to kids, since the building has human feelings, and needs. The book also shows the history of the building and the problems that happened because of the engineering problem. Showing children that the building of the clock tower took over 200 years.

Thank you so much for the advanced copy of Pisa Loves Bella.
This was such a fun story about loving yourself for who you are and not letting thorny (mean words) take root and make you want to change. For someone who loves to travel and a teacher that loves to expose her students to different cities and places, I love that Pisa is the setting of this book. I love that it incorporated a little bit of Italian and that a glossary at the end was included. The rhyming throughout the story was a great touch as well. I will definitely be adding this story to my personal school library and will be recommending it to our school librarian and even our counselors to help teach lessons of kindness.

This was the CUTEST story! 💖 I also read this story to my girls! They really enjoyed it and loved the lesson it taught! I throughly enjoy stories that teach a lesson, and this book encourages speaking words of love & life over everyone instead of unkind words. I also enjoyed how this book does three things: teaches geography, teaches children a new language, and teaches a moral lesson! Great book! Another 5 star read, and my kids agree!

This was a fun children's travel book. I was not a big fan of the illustrations or the rhyming but I think children will enjoy this.

Think of Pisa, and you immediately think Leaning Tower of, at least I do. People take photos of the famous landmark at all hours of the day and night, and everyone loves it. Or do they? What would happen if the Tower itself could hear the comments both good and bad? Well ...

This is the story of exactly that. It's about what happens to start things off and how, eventually, a mistake is rectified. Told in verse with beautiful bright and cheerful illustrations, it is a fun way to make younger children realise how words can hurt, however big and strong you look. There is also a glossary to help with pronunciation. I enjoyed it very much.

I was able to read an advanced copy of this book thanks to NetGalley and the publishers, MB Publishing, Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), Members' Titles, but the opinions expressed are my own. This is a great read, especially for anyone heading to Italy for their holidays.
