This is a truly incredible story. Angsty, heartbreaking, romantic and so full of love. You won't forget. I swear.
Ari and Mason have a wonderful group of friends and family who have always been together.  Every moment has been with them. One night changes everything within her friend group when she finds herself with the man she's been dreaming of.  Only to deal with the pain it's caused later.
As time passes Ari tries to get over her heartbreak when Noah comes into her life. Having met him before on vacation at their beach home.
Things get crazy. People get hurt. Lives change and accidents happen. Not always making it an easy life after one life alerting night changes them all forever.
This is one epuc Romeo and Juliet type love story.    I loved every moment and I really hope this is a series because I would love to read more from these amazing characters.
One of my favorite books to date. 5 stars.

This book is so stinking good and takes you on an emotional roller coaster. I hated Chase so much and just wanted Noah and Ariana together. This story had me completely pulled in just from how much my heartstrings were being pulled at. This is one of those books I wish I could read for the first time again just to feel all the emotions Brandy put us through.

I hate love triangles, in fact give me a why choose instead. And I could not put this book down. I don’t like when love triangles do the good guy vs bad boy, blonde hair blue eyes vs black hair/dark eyes , etc. This story both guys had a chance, and until the last few chapters I was holding my breath. While I did find the Aris dialogue in the beginning to be a bit… annoying (especially when talking to her best friend). As she experiences life outside of her small circle, that was quickly not an issue. This book gave me all of the emotions. I laughed, cried (a lot… the football, oh god), screamed, even had to close the kindle many times due to sheer second hand squealing and spice factor.. so yes, regardless of hype you should read this!

Hands down my favorite Meagan Brandy story of all time!! Swoony, heart-hitting, and indelibly moving, Say You Swear is Meagan's most emotively resonant and richly told story to date. This story shines brightly with everything that makes Meagan the queen of new adult romance- friends who are family, the thrills and perils of first love, self discovery, and so much angst. From start to finish, this one captured my whole heart and will stay there for years to come.

Trust the hype- there is something just so special about this story. And, because of that, I really can’t tell you much about it. Part of the experience is trying to understand just where this romance is going. Like our heroine, we’re trying to figure out heart out- just who it beats for, just what we want to be true. And like all other Meagan stories, it’s not at all what you expect, in more ways than one. And that is what makes it such charming- life isn’t told in blurbs of tropes. Life unfolds in experiences, mistakes, and moments- it's part of growing up and maturing. And thematically this book really shines in conveying that, in giving us a messy story with young people trying to figure out their big feelings, trying to work through big mistakes, and trying to figure out just who they are and what they want. This is a story about the courage it takes to find yourself, to go on this crazy journey of life, to muddle through the messy art of living and loving with grace for yourself...and others.

But let me tell you now- Say You Swear as the dreamiest book boyfriend of all time. I legitimately could not love this character more- my heart was exploding with tenderness for him once we figure him out, I fervently and unendingly love him. The swoon, the sexiness, his thoughtfulness and patience. He’s the kind of beautiful soul that breaks your heart from it’s preciousness. Not at all the man we think he will be based on how we see him at first- but isn’t that the very magic of Meagan Brandy? She gives us characters who on the surface seem to be one thing, but steadily she gives us so much more to them beneath the surface, a cornucopia of feelings and complexity. Our hero here has a sincerity that's almost unbelievable in it’s authenticity - but he’s just that great. Passion, loyalty, insecurities, and longing- this is a man whose love is special. So much more than we know….but Meagan tests it and us, in ways unexpected. Over and over again.

And our heroine Ari is super lovable and relatable- she’s a softer Meagan heroine. Of course, she has fortitude and strength, but she’s also quite vulnerable. She’s a bit of a bleeding heart- which makes it so easy for her to be hurt. But she also has such a delicious spark and sass to her- I just loved her heart and her humor. We experience so much of this story through her shoes - grappling with her longing, her heartbreaks, the loss and drama of young love, the joy and excitement of it.

While this story certainly had me on my toes, and the unexpected twists both break and healed my heart, what I loved most are the tonal contrasts- how Meagan somehow gives us a love story that at its core is innocent and sweet, light and tender, but she buries it in a mess of complication and drama. It makes for such a delicious reading experience with the thrill of the drama and uncertainties juxtaposed to these delightfully sweet and sincere moments. But once you know just who this story is about, there is a fulfilling contentment that fills your heart, because you see just how perfectly they fit. How natural and authentic the chemistry and connection are, despite being in the most unnatural and complicated of dynamics. It’s really sweet and emotionally compelling., and I’ve never rooted for a Meagan Brandy HEA so hard. There are some heart wrenching and unexpected moments both big and small that had me in tears- I felt so intensely connected to these characters that I so easily absorbed their pain. This is the story I have FELT the most in the Meagan Brandy universe- by far her most emotively impacting story. THERE IS SO MUCH ANGST, so hang on tight.

Fans of the Fumbled world will see some delightful cameos, and the secondary cast is just perfection. Meagan has such a keen ability of writing new adult stories that center on characters who are a tight knit family, and this is one of her best. Each and every character stole my heart and played a critical role in the outcome of this book- I’m already begging for them to get their story (especially Ari’s twin brother!). I wish I’d gotten to swim around more in the HEA, especially after so much angst and drama, but I’m hopeful we’ll see these characters again.

Hands down my favorite MB story- I just couldn’t love it more. The endearing characters, the angsty romance, the charming chemistry, and the swoony magic had me ravenously turning the pages. The angsty, new adult sports romance is CLEARLY Meagan Brandy’s wheelhouse- here’s hoping we get to play around in this world for longer!

I can not put into words how much I loved this book!!! I have never cried and laughed and kicked my feet so much with a book as well as want to yell and punch a character. This work was just so good and I’d read it again and an again. It is definitely a book if I could read it for the first time again I’d do anything to.

This was an overall great book! This book kept on giving and left me wanting more. I guess the only critique was that it took a minute to get into it and was long for a sports romance book,

Omg. Say You Swear is an amazing coming-of-age story filled with first love, heartbreak, love triangles, and self-discovery. The story starts off with 5 friends spending the summer together before their freshman year of college. You'll meet Arianna (FMC), Mason (her twin brother ), Chase (first love), Brady, and Cam. So, Arianna has been in love with Chase since she was younger and one night in a bit of passion they explore their feelings. But...the very next day, things start to crumble and Arianna goes off to freshman year heartbroken and reclusive. In comes, Noah Riley, senior and captain of the football team who is going to show kindness, patience, and understanding to Arianna, which will help bring her back to life.

Noah Riley is the latest and greatest book boyfriend, and I love him. The relationship that develops between him and Arianna is so genuine and effortless; you can feel their connection. Even despite his own personal struggles, he continues to show up for everyone. This story has its ups and downs, twists and turns, it will have you laughing and crying. It really was such a great story!

Thank you so much to NetGalley, Blooms Books, and Meagan Brandy for accepting my request to read and review Say You Swear.

First off, the cover is absolutely stunning. It did take me a little bit to get into the book at first, only because there were so many characters being introduced that I got confused, but trust me once you get past that the book is so good. This book made me feel all the things. Love, anger, sadness, and so frustrated. This was the first book I have read by this author but won’t be my last.

"I want someone's all. I want someone's all and absolutely nothing less."

This is one of my all-time favorite books! I laughed, I cried, and I will forever cherish this story. I don't want to give too much away, but the plot is nothing like you think it will be. There are so many twists and turns, it will for sure keep your attention. I feel like we've all had a crush that was never returned, but real love turned out to be better than we could have ever imagined for ourselves. This is a story of growth, healing, and realizing that perhaps you're glad your life didn't turn out like you wanted. This book will make you giddy and happy, but it will also break your heart. This has officially become my comfort read, and I will read it every year.

Infinity stars. I swear.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!!! Initially I thought it was going to be a flop because the first 25% of the book wasn't taking me there, ya know? I almost DNF'd because I felt like Ari's voice was too juvenile. Additionally, I felt ZERO chemistry between her and Chase. But after continuing the book, I figured out that was probably intentional because there was a huge shift in the second 2/3 of the book. The author did an excellent job of showing Ari’s character growth. As soon as Ari went to college, she started coming into her own. She grows and her personality starts to come off the page without being cringey. And when she meets Noah (guys, he is such a sweet sweet character. I am down so bad for this man. Breaking news: bad boys might have been knocked down on the list. Noah's the new standard.) I can't say too much without giving the twist away but he is so selflessly devoted to the people he cares about. I literally gasped and said "my heart!!!!!" several times throughout this book. This book made me SOB. Pretty sure my dog thinks I'm crazier every day.

“Fear not the fall, but the life that comes from having never leaped at all.”

I have no words for how AMAZING Say You Swear was. What a beautifully heartbreaking journey that will touch your soul. I finished before bed and I woke up thinking about this book because it was touched my heart. Noah and Arianna are EVERYTHING.

“There’s something about Noah that frees me. With a single look or unspoken notion, he settles parts of me I don’t know need settling, and while I don’t fully understand it yet, I know I want to.”

Arianna’s journey of self-discovery and growth throughout the book will inspire you. The pain of loss and forgiveness and opening yourself up to someone is brilliantly displayed by Meagan Brandy. You will feel like you are living this book because it is mesmerizing.

“I’ve known that girl was worth the world since the moment I met her.”

Noah’s love is so unselfish and giving. He truly sees Arianna in a way that no one else does. He will sacrifice his own heart and happiness if it means that those he loves are happy and fulfilled. He is so dreamy that I’m not sure how any book hero is going to top him. His depth of understanding and his beautiful soul will leave you in tears.

“What if I never get to tell her I love her? That she’s more than I knew existed, all that I could ever need, and everything I will always want. Arianna Johnson makes up my entire being. Without her, I’m nothing.”

The road that these two travel is not an easy one. It’s downright painful, but you feel their connection from the very first interaction and their bond only grows throughout the story. When it’s threatened, your heart will feel every bit of emotion right along with them.

“Love made me selfish. Loss made me see.”

I don’t want to say too much because this is a journey that everyone needs to experience for themselves. Go in blind. Don’t read any spoilers so that you feel all the heartbreaking angst and breathtaking joy. It is SO worth it!!

Say You Swear is an outstanding coming-of-age novel about first loves, heartbreak, and finding yourself. Arianna Johnson is going into her freshman year of college, with her best friends. Of these friends include Brady, Mason (her twin brother) Chase, and Cam. Arianna has been in love with Chase for years, and despite what things might seem at first, things do not end well for them. Struggling to move on while acting like nothing happened between them, Arianna starts her freshman year of college heartbroken. Enter Noah, a senior on the football team who seems to know just how to fix Arianna's broken heart.

I loved Noah and Arianna together. There are so many romances where the relationship feels forced, and this one felt so natural. While there was that "breakup" in some ways even that felt like something that might happen outside of the story book. I normally am not a fan of love triangles, but this one did not really have that traditional triangle feel to it. Yes there were two potential love interests, but it was never really a question of who Arianna would end up with at the end.

Meagan Brady is a master at character development and making your heart hurt, so be warned. I cried SO MANY TIMES during this book. Brady broke me and put me back together time after time. I would highly recommend this book to all romance lovers. I truly hope there is more books in this world because there are so many other characters that I would love to learn more about. The only reason this was not a five-star read for me was because the first 100 or so pages really reminded me of a popular young-adult romance series that involves a love triangle and a beach house. It should be noted however, that after those 100 or so pages, this book feels very different and stands on its own without reminders of that other novel.

Thank you to NetGalley, Bloom, and Meagan Brady for giving me an eARC of Say You Swear in exchange for my honest review.

Oh my gosh, this book. This is technically a re-read since I read it in 2022, but I couldn't help myself when the announcement that Bloom was picking it up came.

This book is everything you could want in a book. She's thick, but worth the effort. Noah Riley is the ultimate book husband and he did not deserve the dirty hand that was dealt to him. Arianna is amazing and overcame so much. I hate Chase. Did from the start of my original read and hated him here too. He gives me the ick. Say You Swear is really well written and the story flows so nicely. At times I wish things would move along but that is my own impatience to get to the HEA and get past the sad parts. It's a delight and I loved it just as much now as I did in 2022.
