This is what most native and long time Santa Feans/New Mexicans detest - privileged, mostly rich, white people who think some mystical energy has beckoned them to move to Santa Fe (this goes for Taos, too). It's just soooooo SPIRITUAL! All the Native Americans! Shamans! The EARTH!

Way too much WOO WOO here. Energy vortexes, "rebirthing," spirit cards, Pueblo dances, telepathic communication with a freaking crow... no. Just no. It's like reading some latent hippie's diary; and like most diaries, this should have remained private in a drawer.

Having been a member of the searching crowd that went to the west to find teachers I found this book enjoyable and honest. The New Age was a great time in my life and it was shared with others that I still think about. what I learned from those remarkable individuals of all races and genders was to always hope and look for the best in as many situations as you can, This book helped me remember to do just that. The pictures and situations the author shares are meaningful and worth retelling. Very good read and a lot to take away.
