The Tribulation arc comes to an end, and it's as bloody and heartbreaking as I expect of this series. I'm both eagerly awaiting and dreading what's up next for poor Erica Slaughter.
Received via NetGalley.

These always leave me on the edge of my seat. I never see what is coming. Can’t wait for the next installment.

First, I want to thank NetGalley and BOOM!Studio for allowing me to read this book in exchange for a review.
Okay, so Something is Killing The Children and Me? It's a big love story. I started this series in France when it came out in the paperback edition, and immediately fell in love with the story. I thought this one was the last volume, so I took my time to read it (I have a problem with finishing a series that I love). But I guess not.
What did I think of the volume thought? Well, the not-so-rational part of me wants to scream and keysmash, but I won't. I think this one is the perfect conclusion for all this arc. We have tension, fear, emotions, and blood, and until the last page, we can't be sure if our favorite character will survive. I loved seeing Erica's character evolve through the series, and I can't wait to see what will happen to her next (if we see her of course).
Also, I can't wait to see what will happen with Gabby's "cousin" (sorry I'm bad with names). Can we talk of this ending? Will she be the next main character? What about the House of Cutter?
I closed this book with joy, anticipation, and excitement for the next volume or spin-off. As always, James Tynion IV rocks.

‘Something is Killing the Children: Volume 7’ by James Tynion IV with art by Werther Dell’Edera is the final volume in the graphic novel series and collects issues 31-35 of the comic book series.
The people of the aptly named town of Tribulation have been a lot. Erica Slaughter has just narrowly survived the Duplicitype, but there is still work to be done as Cutter seeks revenge. Add in the still living Duplicitype wearing Erica’s face to add chaos and horror. How will it end? Or will it?
There are some good showdowns and fights in this final volume, but it all feels a bit rushed. The art here is as solid as it has been throughout the series.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was a re-read for me because I've already read all the issues of this volume but I still liked reading it for a second time. This graphic novel has become a favorite of mine since I started it and I will be following it until the end.

This is the conclusion of the Cutter storyline. It's both satisfying and bittersweet. I wouldn't recommend starting with this volume. These do need to be read in order from the very beginning for full enjoyment. The artwork is savagely gorgeous.
**I received an eARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. (But ended up reading this in print because I definitely overestimated my eyeball's ability to read a graphic novel on a small phone screen)**

This has become one of my favorite graphic novel series. It’s full of bloody battles with creatures not everyone can see and a hero you want to root for.

A fantastic conclusion to this storyline. Intense, emotional, gritty, dark - and at the same time, clever, witty, and fun. (I'm sorry, I'm just delighted by the way this volume played with western tropes.) James Tynion IV is consistently my favorite comic writer, and I can't wait to see where the story goes next!

I have a large group of patrons that have read the series on Hoopla, so I dove in! What a great gothic story in graphic novel form. Brilliant artwork and storyline!

Oh man the conclusion of this story arch 😭😭 i am so intrigued where Tynion is going to take this story now if we’re working up to the end of Erica’s story in general regardless I’m kinda sad since I love this series so much and these characters!

Thanks to Boom! Studios and the creators of Something is Killing for providing this free e-arc via NetGalley. I just read it and continue to find the characters and the storylines gripping. Horror is not my usual go-to genre, but I can't stop reading this series. The intensity, the gritty action and the actually scary monsters (both human and non-human) are well-written and drawn. Hope this continues.

This is a really great comic series and the drama is only continuing to build in this installment. The story line, drawing, everything is on point. I'm looking forward to the next collection.

This is gripping, to say the least, and a fantastic example of creating fear and atmosphere in comics. Tynion is a master of craft and the art is compelling.

Thanks to Netgalley for saucing me a copy!
Something is Killing the Children only get better and better as the volumes go on. I honestly think that graphic novels are my favorite medium for horror stories.
Volume 7 features the resolution of the arch started in volume 5(?) and once again Erica gets away but it never feels like a true win.

James Tynion IV continues to be the best current day comic writer. This is a solid addition into one of the best ongoing run in modern day comics. If you are a fan of the series so far expect more of what you get, if you've never read this series grab the first volume and get to it!

I beta-read the first volume long ago and to be able to read the 7th volume, it's a pleasure. This story has everything I enjoy and more. The characters, the plot, the design (and art) are my favs.

I think this volume wrapped up the latest arc in interesting way. I think it provided a better insight into some of the characters and their mindsets and it closed this storyline while making me excited to begin reading the next. It was a strong addition to this horror saga, and though I do think it was a bit less action packed than previous volumes, it made the action scenes that were there count.

Something is Killing the Children is a great comic series. This volume continues the story and ends the current arc of the series. The story is interesting and the artwork is fantastic. Horror and action fans will enjoy this volume and series.

I was just dropped in the finale of an arc that I dont know and a series that I havent read before. But the action and art are pretty good.

I thought this final book in the series was…rather disappointing. The tension wasn’t really there, the stakes just didn’t feel as high as the previous books. I’m glad that Erica got the ending that she deserved, but the actual wrap-up was so quick & very vague about Erica’s intentions/plans for the future. I was hoping there’s be more…hope to it? Instead it wallowed in the results of the final battle. I know it’s meant to be a dark story but jeez cmon.
Ill try the spin-off if it does get published but only if it tells more about Erica.
