This book was so good I flew through it in one day! This was a story of suspense, and family. I loved the alternating POV’s. There was June’s POV who lost her husband 10 years ago, and Josh’s mom’s POV which was wrote from her POV when Josh, June’s husband, was a teenager.

This was a very character driven book with very deep characters. I really felt invested in each one’s story. The story itself was flawless. There were twists throughout the book that caught me off guard and an ending that I appreciated. This story was everything you want in a book about a mystery as well as contemporary fiction.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC!

The plot sounded like an interesting one with a little bit of mystery to it. As I am diving in, I’m rather intrigued by the disappearance and death of someone one week after their marriage.

The plot takes us back and forth between timelines and it gets to be interesting with the different characters and the mystery surrounding her husband. The main character has somewhat recovered from her husband’s death, but his death always remains on the back of her mind as to what truly happened.

The author leads us into many twists and turns in the story having to do with his death. June has never gotten over him. Plus, the main character and other subsequent characters really don’t get my buy-in.

The characters are not likable with the exception of her fiancé. I don’t like June’s actions and I definitely did not care for the mother-in-law. Flynn does throw in some girl-on-girl time but that felt like a distraction and really didn’t add to the storyline other than try to show a psychological twist.

Flynn does add some interesting turns at the end that are from left field but I felt these twists really just leave the reader sad. The story is different and interesting, but it doesn’t have that additional layer of tension to make this a true suspense-type read.

Overall, it feels like I did not care for the book, however, I did like the premise of the story. I can not get past some of the character flaws. Till Death Do Us Part is a good story on the surface. It lacks that in-depth tension and elevated emotional writing that builds the mystery and suspense which makes a book un-put-downable.

It’s been ten years since June’s husband drowned on their honeymoon although his body was never found. Since then, she’s opened a wine bar and is newly engaged. One day while taking engagement photos, she thinks she sees Josh (dead ex husband who drown) but that can’t be! She begins to research and then she stumbles across a photo of a winery’s owner who looks just like her dead husband, say what?

The narrative unfolds through alternating timelines and perspectives, immersing you in the intense emotions of June and providing a glimpse into the past through Josh's mother, Bev. The anxiety surrounding Josh's mysterious reappearance creates a sense of urgency that propels the story forward. This book is not necessarily a thriller, more of a domestic drama with suspicious death maybe. I will say this is a slow burn and at times I was getting lost in why June was struggling so much with accepting the death of her husband, a man she knew 10 years ago for six months. A lot of the characters actions were a little unbelievable and while the twist at the end definitely surprised me in a bad way.
Despite its potential, the story grapples with too many twists and insufficient groundwork. To fully immerse yourself in the plot, you'll need to suspend ALL disbelief and embrace the unexpected turns that come your way. It wasn’t for me but maybe it will be for you! Coming off an excellent last novel of “The Girls are all so nice here” this one was just not up to par with Flynn’s abilities!
Thank you to. #NetGalley and #Simon&Schuster for giving me the opportunity to give my honest review with an advanced digital copy.

Wow. Just wow. After a slow start, Till Death Do Us Part picks up enough steam to power a fleet of ships. What starts out as a "what happened to Josh?" mystery morphs into a multi layered thriller with a previous untimely death, family drama, and tons of dysfunction. In truth, Miss Flynn should have saved some of these twists for future works-Josh's mom Bev definitely deserves her own novel! With multiple timelines and POV's, and the Napa Valley wine country as a backdrop, Till Death Do Us Part is very engaging as you try to put the pieces of this puzzle together. And the ending of Till Death to Us Part doesn't just come out of left field, it's not even in the same park, but has several unanswered questions that leave you hanging. Despite the incomplete closure Till Death to Us Park is one heck of a ride.

3.75 stars for me. This includes spoilers into the second paragraph so beware. To be honest, the beginning of this book was super slow for me. I felt even up to the 65% mark it took forever to give any substance to the theories being thrown around. June has been in constant grieving and confusion after her 6 month boyfriend turned one week husband went missing at sea when he was supposed to be getting breakfast from their airbnb. As she moves past his sudden and tragic disappearance during their honeymoon, she meets Kyle. He understands her and her grief listening to her and moving their relationship on her terms. After 6 years together, 10 years almost to the day she became a widow, she says yes to marrying Kyle and during their engagement photos taken by her best friend, she sees Josh, her dead husband. But that can’t be, it just can’t… but can it?

It can’t of course, because he’s dead but his body was never found. Turns out Josh was hiding a lot more than he let on to believe. He had an estranged twin brother. During their late teenage years they had a falling out and andrew was accused of leaking a photo for josh’s girlfriend to the school (which he didn’t) and because of it was sent off to boarding school. They had hardly spoken since they were 17 years old. Fast forward a bit and Andrew’s home on break and wanted revenge, That revenge was unspeakable for the brothers. This time, Andrew’s time home ended with Josh’s new girlfriend tragically drowning in their family estates pond after a party.

As this is happening, Bev, their mother is fighting her own demons. Her husbands cheated on her with someone she thought she didn’t know. Bev’s first true love re-emerges and they start a fling, partly because she’s so mad and confused and hurt by her husband but also she’s dreamed of meeting Emilia again since college. Turns out her husbands affair wasn’t with a one time stranger but someone whom she knew, and much longer than a one night stand. Lost in these family secrets and untold truths Bev spirals and leans on the one person who would never abandon her, her sister Camille… who ends up also being her twin which is important because they end up swapping places so Bev can be with her love- selfishly switching lives with her sister, allowing her to take over raising her toddler boy and pretending to be Josh and Andrew’s mother from there on out. How did no one notice? the brothers didn’t bring up the last stories camille wasn’t there for? David who had been with Bev for the better part of their lives didn’t realize a difference? So crazy to me.
But also halfway makes sense with how “Bev” (but actually Camille) was towards June when she’d ask too many questions, it’s because camille didn’t know the answers as her sister lived through that part of parenthood and hard times and camille was just in the background not having the full story of what actually happened when josh was in school.
And the plot twist of who actually murdered Josh at the end. This story is full of the ultimate dysfunctional family to date.

This one kept me throughly interested from start to finish! The setting was really cool too and that ending was super unexpected.

I had mixed feelings about this book. The premise was good, although different from what I expected. I thought the settings were great and well developed. My only down side to the story was the ending, it left me with too many questions and a bit confused. The dual POV worked great and the story flowed easily.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I did not like any of these characters, not a one. And while the setting and the dual perspectives & timelines would usually hook me, this one left me unsatisfied. And the ending? Ooof.

Thanks, NetGalley folk, for an ARC to read.

I'm gonna be honest...I was on the fence about how to rate this one and thought I had decided on 3 stars when the last couple chapters came along and solidified that I'd be knocking it down to two. Oof. I don't recommend this book. I will say, the two POVs left each chapter ending on a cliffhanger of some sort. This is probably the main reason I was motivated to keep reading haha.

Plot: June is a young widow, still mourning the mysterious death of her husband, Josh. Now, he's been gone for ten years and June is trying to fully move on with her new fiancé, Kyle. Bev, Josh's mom, has been married to her college sweetheart, Dave, for 2 decades, but life on their vineyard hasn't been all they imagined. Josh's high school girlfriend dies in a tragic accident on their property and the Kellys' lives are turned upside down. How could the events of the past come back to haunt June in the present day? She's determined to leave no stone unturned.

It's incredibly difficult to write this review without spoilers. I'm going to heavily allude to a few spoilers from this book, so stop reading here if you think you might want to read this one! I really thought this was going to be a "dead husband turns up from the grave" storyline...we didn't get that, but what we did get may have been even richer. Not one but TWO instances of identical "twins" completely changing the course of their entire families' lives. Who knew a mistaken identity twist could be so hokey?! I'm sorry y'all but I just didn't buy it at all. You're trying to tell me their own spouses couldn't identify them? What a load of baloney. I know identical twins who are both married and their husbands don't seem to have any trouble at all telling them apart. We even get a "Parent Trap"-esque twin switch with two characters who aren't! even! twins! Once again, this is beyond the realm of believable. The reader is supposed to buy that their own kids couldn't tell them apart. This screams, author had a book deadline coming up, didn't delve into her research enough, and had to go with what she had. The final conclusion of this book was so disappointing, I'm actually embarrassed for Flynn. I was looking forward to finding out how everything would resolve, but found myself bewildered and upset...to be honest, I just had to laugh at how ridiculous it all was. Also, we literally NEVER find out the truth behind Michelle's death and that was a major plot point in this story! I'm going to try to get all of these characters and this plot out of my head ASAP so I can move on to bigger and better mysteries. Audios!

Thank you so much to NetGalley, Laurie Elizabeth Flynn, and Simon & Schuster for the ARC of Till Death Do Us Part!

This was one of the best thrillers I’ve read in a long time. The storyline had me captivated from the beginning. Told from alternating points of views, June takes us on a journey of finding out what happened to her first love - Josh. Up until the very in you find yourself trying to predict what really happened and thrown for a loop. The character development we see in Bev is probably one of my favorites. It was realistic, courageous, and relatable. The setting being in Napa made for a nice spring read. I loved it!

The cover and book description was what intrigued me. The idea of a mystery involving a deceased husband returning to life intrigued me and whether or not June would let her past threaten her future. Set in Napa, the book also showcases wineries and the complexities of wine-making.
The story takes a little while to get into, with two narrators in different timelines but with some of the same characters. June, an organic wine pub owner grieving her husband’s death, begins to believe he may still be alive when she spots his doppelganger. Meanwhile, in a flashback, we learn about Bev, the mother of June’s husband, and the family secrets that threaten to undo her marriage. We discover how these women’s pasts intertwine, leading to an explosive conclusion that shakes up everything we thought we knew. I really enjoyed how Laurie Elizabeth Flynn brought the characters and emotions to life with her descriptive imagery.
Overall, this book masterfully combines women’s fiction with mystery, culminating in a shocking ending.

Special thanks to NetGalley and Simon & Schuster for providing me with a digital copy in exchange for an honest review.

I love any thriller book that keeps me guessing the twists. And this one I hadn’t seen the twists coming! Multiple POVs is my favorite way a book is written. I like hearing both sides of the story. And wineries are pretty cool! My only ick is the ending. It didn’t make sense. It should have been a different ending. It came out of left field.

This book kept me guessing and honestly it took me a minute to realize who the two perspectives were from and how they tied into each other. Well written, great read!

Whooo wheeee!!! That one melted my brain a little, but n a good way. It was very mysterious and twisty. It keeps you guessing right up to the end. And just when you are sure you figured it out...that last "aha" moment...there comes another fun little twist. If you enjoy all things wine and all things thriller, I think you would enjoy this one.

I’ve read a missing husband comes back alive style story and this plot obviously was different I didn’t mind it at all. I liked the family aspect and the she did discover herself and her worth throughout the book I feel like that was important to note. I really like it and the cover is gorgeous

In general, I love dual timeline novels. However, this story was a bit disjointed with the dual storylines (Bev and June). June was the more engaging character, but her storyline felt limited compared to Bev's, who isn't as relatable. The twist missed the mark for me, and I just didn't care for the ending, which felt incomplete. Throughout the story, there was a lot of unnecessary information, and it didn't explain some of the unusual decisions the characters made. Way too many coincidences also made things seem a bit unbelievable.

Mixed feelings about this one. I loved the story but didn't care for the ending. Few things lefted unanswered. The mom kinda drive me crazy. I don't care what she did at the ending. It did keep me guessing and there were alot twisted but ending felt incomplete. I would recommend it. Would give it 3 stars out of 5

It’s been ten years since June’s husband drowned on his honeymoon although his body was never found. Since then, she’s opened a natural wine bar and is newly engaged, though she still thinks of her first husband often. But then she thinks she begins to see her first husband lurking around, and then she stumbles across a photo of a winery’s owner who looks just like her dead husband. She finds herself unable to move forward until she confronts her past, and so travels to Napa, unprepared for the family secrets and lies she’s stumbling into.

I was intrigued by the premise of this one and was interested to see where it would go. The story is told from two POVs in a dual timeline, which didn’t work as well as I wanted. I expected the second timeline to provide some good background to the characters in the primary timeline but there was rarely any new information included that was relevant. It didn’t help me like the characters any more, either. They made a lot of odd decisions that weren’t explained well or at all and too many things relied on coincidences.

This book relied heavily on a trope that I didn’t realize I hated until this book, which in general terms, is people being too unobservant to realize basic things. Since the whole book and reveals are built around that, I think it quickly decreased my enjoyment and made the ending completely dissatisfying for me (the ending was actually absurd and not realistic at all). Not to mention the characters weren’t well written or engaging, so there wasn’t really anyone I cared about by the end.

The more I thought about this read, the less I liked it. If you’re looking for a slow-burn mystery/domestic drama set in Napa, then you might like this one. My thanks to NetGalley and Simon and Schuster for allowing me to read this work, which will be published August 13, 2024. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are my own.

This book's blurb really stood out to me and I'm glad I decided to dive in!

June has a good life. She's met Josh, the man of her dreams, and she's happy. More happy than anyone should be. A week after being married, June turns from a wife to a widow, and her world turns upside down.

Years later, June has emerged from her chrysalis of dark depression and has found a new life; her own wine shop and her new relationship. Business is coming back to life after COVID and her romance is safe and secure; June is finally becoming an even better version of her previous self.

Everything changes with June sees Josh, she thinks, and this sends her on a journey that unravels more and more of the past for a family that's trying to keep things quiet.

What will June discover on her path towards finding her husband?

A gripping story, likable, realistic characters, this book will be an instant success!

Wow. I stayed up way too late reading it because I just had to finish it. The pace was exactly right; the story sped up or drew out the tension perfectly. I was on the same emotional rollercoaster as June as she was trying to figure out how her husband could be alive after 10 years. Using multiple narrators helped because I got sucked into both stories and then the perspective would change at just the right moment. I love to try to guess the plot twists in thrillers and I was surprised by every single one.

I don't know what else to say without spoiling something so I'll just say that I immediately requested her other book "The Girls Are All So Nice Here" from the library.
