Love this so easy to use. I have been wanting to try a digital reading journal and netgalleys is really easy to use and they give great instructions.

I appreciate the tips in this guide, but I utilize a different app. This was my first NetGalley download and I didn't realize it was part of the feedback titles!

I was delighted to find that there is a user guide for the reading journal. Unfortunately, I am not particularly clever with digital things, so while I could read the guide. I have not been able to make things work for me. Thanks.

I wanted to use the Reading Journal but could not make head nor tail of how to actually use it until I read this guide. It gave simple, clear directions of where I should download it, what program to use it in, how to open it, etc and tips such as keep a blank copy so you've got the option of a new one each year. Very practical.

I really appreciated this guide since I had no clue which apps to use to edit the reading guide. I liked that there were a couple of apps recommended and quick walkthroughs were provided for each. The information for the apps does need to be updated, however. Goodnotes does now support windows and android whereas this guide only mentions apple and iOS. I decided to download both apps and there is a free version of Goodnotes, but it was difficult to navigate as the app made it seem that there wasn't a free version. This could perhaps be more explicitly outlined in the guide so other users don't feel stuck in having to pay for the app.

This is a helpful guide on how to use the reading journal. I felt inspired to use the journal in 2025, and this guide helped me feel like it wasn't as overwhelming as it first seemed.

This is a useful - and necessary - companion for the Reading Journal. I highly recommend everyone reading this before using the Journal. One caveat that irritated me - they recommend downloading and using the Goodnotes App. What they don’t tell you is that the app costs you. Okay, it’s only $9.99/year but still, I wasn’t prepared for that. Other than that a definite good thing to have if you have the journal.

Very helpful in how to use the journal - I'll be starting this in 2025. I liked being able to see how other things can be used with it, and how I can add my own details and updates. The guide being separate from the journal itself is great.

The user guide was very helpful in how to download and use the journal on a tablet. However, I do wish that it came in epub format and you could add blank pages.

Good information, as I didn’t know this app, called Goodnotes, was available. I think anyone looking for a new book organization tool, namely how to integrate a new app to better organize NetGalley requests and books in genreal, will enjoy reading this one.

The Story

There is mention of stickers, how to integrate outside images, and how journal pages can be shared to your social media platforms.

The Writing
The instructions are simple.

Color scheme of soft forest green, brown, charcoal, and golden rod were soothing and polished, as were the stylistic pinned messages that displayed reminders.

I appreciated the interactive menu tabs arranged on the top for easy navigation to re-reference chapters.

Easy to understand and straightforward this guide is sure to answer any questions regarding the journaling process.
