I received this book as part of a book tour. I am so happy I signed up, because this book was WILD! I love this author so much - she is a repeat buy for me. I loved every second of this book along with the twists and turns that were thrown our way!

This was a totally twisty story, and I didn't know who to trust the entire time I was reading it. I love an unreliable narrator, and Ruby was the epitome of unreliable!

I listened to the audiobook which I really enjoyed. Rachel L. Jacob’s was a fantastic narrator. I was impressed with how she did the different voices especially the younger child’s voice. I actually thought there were multiple narrators while listening. There were a lot of characters to keep track of so I did get confused at times while listening especially with the female names - Ruby, Lily, Daisy, etc. If you are going to do the audio for this one, I recommend reading along with a physical book or ebook.

I figured out whodunnit pretty early on, but I still enjoyed the story and the twists that Frey threw at us. I was surprised when I realized this was the same author of The Other Year since these books are very different. It just shows Frey’s versatility as an author.

When Ruby discovers a body in the lake of the exclusive neighborhood of Cottage Grove, the police believe it to be her own husband, Tom. Ruby is adamant that the body she found is not Tom, but then again, when was the last time she’s seen him? First her daughter, Lily, goes missing, and then Tom leaves her. Luckily, Ruby has a few close friends in the neighborhood to lean on. Daisy, a podcast host, hosts a club called The Murderlings where they meet and try to solve cold cases. Then one day, the cold case files that are handed out to the group hit too close to home for Ruby. What happened in her past to bring her here, where is Lily, and if it is Tom who was found in the lake, who put him there?

I really enjoyed this scandalous domestic/psychological thriller. I loved the neighborhood of Cottage Grove and how utterly twisted and shady some of the residents are. The reader gets to know the cast of characters without spending too much time on the more ancillary people in the book. The character development we see throughout the story for Ruby is really strong and I found myself itching to find out more about her throughout the book. Her past was explored more and more throughout the book and it really brought everything together at the end. There’s no shortage of plot twists in this story! I definitely did not see all of them coming and the very end made my jaw drop. I don’t always love cliffhanger endings, but this ending worked so well in this story and I love that there is the opportunity for a sequel… 👀

I'm a huge fan of Rea Frey and I jumped at the chance to listen to her newest audiobook!

Just like all her other books -- I was immediately addicted to the story. The narrator, Rachel L. Jacobs has such an amazing voice and brought this story to life. The neighborhood crime group and their usernames had me cracking up. I don't know how Rachel did it with all the different characters voices!
I loved the back and forth between past and present Ruby. So many twists and turns and we get to see Ruby for who she really is. The ending had a crazy reveal that I didn't see coming!!

I HIGHLY recommend this very addictive and fast-paced audiobook!!

This is the third book I’ve read by Rea Frey and I am such a fan of her books! They are always so addicting and twisty and this one was no exception!

This book grabbed my attention from the get-go – our main protagonist, Ruby, finds a body in the lake! And things take off from there. Between the neighborhood Murder Club, actual dead bodies piling up and all the secrets that our characters seem to have, I was totally invested in this story. I loved that I wasn’t sure if Ruby was a hundred percent reliable or not.

The story alternates between the present and the past and slowly a bigger picture emerges of who Ruby is. There is also a neighborhood gossip site that provides some additional insight into how the neighbors view what is going on. Because usernames are used, you never quite know who is contributing, though there are hints as to some of the identities.

This is such a layered, complex story that is full of red herrings, twists and a shocking ending. I definitely did not see things playing out the way they did but it works so well and I loved it! There are so many surprises along the way that keep you guessing with this one and that is exactly how I like my thrillers! Definitely don’t miss this one!!!

Audio thoughts: This is the perfect book to listen to because once you start, you aren’t going to want to put it down. I easily binge-listened to this one and the narrator, Rachel L. Jacobs, does a phenomenal job bringing the story to life. She infuses just the right amount of tension and emotion into her voice and her pacing was spot on!

This was absolutely addictive, I put it on while on a trip and found myself wanting to get back to my room as much as possible so I could continue listening! It was twisty and started out a bit predictable, or so I thought, but I sure was wrong and this thing went in a direction I did NOT see coming and I loved it! The author incorporated a neighborhood chat, which when done via audio was actually kind of funny, and I enjoyed the bit of comedic relief. I loved how engaged I was and how fast paced and layered the plot, it was a delight to read the entire way through. The audio was fantastic, I absolutely recommend this one, it is an easy five stars from me!

I listened to this one on audio and the narration was fantastic. I blew through this one while doing some decluttering. 😉 There were multiple twists and turns that kept me engaged. And a neighborhood true crime group? Every neighborhood should have one of those!!! If you are looking for a fast paced who dun it thriller this one is for you!

Don't Forget Me Is an addictive thriller that will hook you from the start. It will keep you on the edge of your seat, and you will be frantically flipping to pages to race to the shocking ending. This was such a fun ride !

I loved that I had no idea who to trust, I didn't even know if Ruby was a reliable or unreliable narrator. The author kept stirring me in multiple directions. With so many secrets, twists and turns, I can guarantee your heart rate will be increasing.

I really enjoyed how the plot was fleshed and how everything tied together. This was my first Rea Frey and it won't be my last.

🎧 The narration by Rachel L Jacob's was good but it wasn't my favorite. She felt very mechanical and was lacking emotion. I felt like she was just reading the story instead of acting it out. I still did enjoy it, but I think the production would have benefited from a little more oomph.

Ruby expected to live in her new home in an exclusive lakeside community with her husband Tom, and their teenaged daughter, Lily. Instead, Lily has gone missing and Tom has left her…at least that’s what Ruby thinks.

When she discovers a body in the lake and the police inform her that it is that of her husband, Ruby cannot understand why she didn’t recognize him! To make matters worse, bodies start turning up left and right, and the neighbors turn their suspicions on Ruby! Ruby needs to find out what is going on, and fast!

With a neighborhood true crime (gossip) group called the Murderlings, a rising body count, unexpected twists, and a STUNNING final reveal, this domestic thriller makes for an exciting read! The fast-paced action unfolds through Ruby’s perspective and dual timelines. The audio version is especially well done. The narrator does a great job with the voices of the different characters, including the neighborhood gossip group! Indeed, during the final reveal the narrator’s characterization is perfect! I highly recommend this one for thriller lovers!

Don’t Forget Me is a suspenseful and twisty mystery involving a missing husband, a missing daughter and a dead body that are all linked to Ruby. The best part is that Ruby belongs to a neighborhood murder club that works to solve cold cases! This chilling mystery unfolds in alternating timelines between Ruby’s disturbing past and unsteady present that offer clues surrounding the discovery of the body.

Ruby’s character had me questioning whether or not she was an unreliable narrator due to her blackouts and her memory gaps. I really enjoyed how the two timelines were woven together to give me an insight into what transpired over the years. The final twist was expected but not until late in the book which made this a captivating read!

What it’s about:

Ruby, Tom and Lily have moved to a new small town looking for a fresh start. Soon after the move their picture perfect life starts to unravel. Her teenaged daughter starts showing signs of…being a teenager 😂 (sorry I have them and this pain is real!) Her daughter’s behavior isn’t what it used to be and then she disappears! Shortly thereafter her husband disappears as well. What a terrible stroke of luck. 👀 Thank goodness her new neighbors are there to help her along at their get togethers, including one event that’s called “The Murder Club” They like to solve cold cases and pick apart the evidence. Ruby was finding solace until some start to dig a little too deep.

Everyone is shocked when a dead body rises to the top of the lake…they all know it’s Tom. Well, everyone except for Ruby. Isn’t it strange she doesn’t recognize her own husband? There is definitely more at play here…

Thoughts: This is my second book by Rea and both have been solid thriller mysteries! I really thought I knew where this book was taking me and was pleasantly surprised I was wrong! Rea does a great job introducing some questionable characters as well as highlighting Ruby’s unreliable and sketchy past. I loved how she left me second guessing her the whole time. I absolutely loved the neighborhood murder club….mainly because I really want to join one! 🤣 If you are looking for a book with long held secrets, untrustworthy characters, and want to go on a wild ride grab yourself a copy of this one!

What more do you need in a book? The answer, if you didn't know, is nothing. You need nothing else! I love all of those things in my thrillers. This book did not disappoint me! Every chapter ends on a cliffhanger and fortunately, I could keep reading so I wasn't left wondering what happened next.

If you love a thriller to keep you saying “What the…??” This is one you need to look into.

The narrator was great!! She was a great choice for this book!

MY REVIEW:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book rocked me! It's full of so much suspense at the end of every chapter and mind-bending twists. This is a MUST read/listen, I can not recommend this enough. I'm so glad we chose to promote this book because everyone needs to read/listen to it!

So much tragedy surrounds Ruby and everyone knows it, or at least has their own opinion of what happened. But it doesn't stop with just the past.

This one has dual timelines and mixed media, which creates a fun, current feeling atmosphere in a small town community.

I don't want to go into too many details because I'm afraid I'll give away too much, but this is definitely worth picking up. I loved the audiobook, but I bet the book would be just as good.

This was such a tangled book! I loved it! It’s about a woman whose husband and daughter are both missing. Then a body surfaces. The neighbors are certain it’s her missing husband. Is it? And where is her daughter?

Happy Release Day Rea!

Thank you to @thrillerbookpromotions, @netgalley and @brilliancepublisgers for the opportunity to listen and review this ALC!

When a body is discovered in a nearby lake the first and obvious suspect is his wife, Ruby. However, she’s less worried about him and more worried about finding her missing daughter.

I really enjoyed this one! It was a little slow for a bit while we were gaining the backstory but it did pick up! There were many twists and let me tell you they were coming at us up until the very end. It really felt as though there was so much up in the air until the last fourth of the book where it all came together. The ending was good and GAVE ME CHILLS!

I loved the Murderlings! It would be so interesting to meet a group of friends to go over cold cases with!

Narration was done by Rachel Jacobs. I’ve never listened to a book narrated by her before but I enjoyed it. I thought the book was easy to follow.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This audiobook was SO GOOD. I listened to it every chance I could because I was so sucked into the story! It was hard to trust Ruby at times because the story kept shifting and revealing tidbits, and the outcome wasn’t what I expected at all! And that ending… I really enjoyed the narrator of this audiobook as well 🎧

This was my first Rea Frey book and I am truly blown away. I put my ear pods in for this one so I could listen to it all day.

Was I reading something by George R.R. Martin?! I think Rea Frey has surpassed him for surprising character deaths! This truly had everything I love in a thriller. It wasn't predictable, there was no shortage of twists, and this plot was unique and gripped my interest.

My review will be posted on my Instagram platform when I feature this book on a tour with @thrillerbookloverspromotions.

Wow! I don’t even know where to begin with this one! This was such a fun, fast paced, twisty thriller! I love books where they are set in lake settings. I think that it makes it so much fun because you feel like you are there near the water and experiencing everything that the characters are experiencing. I was hooked from the very start and kept reading because I needed to know how it was going to end! I did feel like there were some loose ends, but I wonder if that was the intention to keep the readers wondering and thinking about all the different aspects of the book! I absolutely loved the narrator and found myself gravitating towards the audiobook more than the ebook version! While this may have been my first book by Frey, it will definitely not be my last!

Just finished this one. I was so excited to get the ARC in an audiobook! So stinking good. The audiobook reader was AMAZING! If you like audiobooks put this one on your list. A thriller set in Nashville! The twists and turns are very unpredictable. Literally had no idea who the killer was until the very end! Put it on your list!

What a great thriller! Filled with so many secrets, you just had to keep reading to find everything out. I didn't put everything together until the very end. I just love twisty thrillers that you have to think about. I really enjoyed this book. I listened to the audiobook and it was so great!
