Kiersten Modglin is a staple in the mystery/thriller department. Her books are always worth the read/listen. I loved the narrator, as always. strong 5 stars.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the free copy of You'll Never Know I'm Here by Kiersten Modglin in exchange for my honest review.

Ok, while I'm still KMod's biggest fan, this one just didn't do it for me. I loved the bookstagram aspect of it (of course lol). I think the "cause" and what they were doing to bookstagrammers just didn't feel like it would really happen. Unless, I'm just really naive. The suspense and writing was obviously there, I just couldn't get my head around if this would really happen. I listened to the audiobook and it was very good!

Six book influencers decide to meet up in person after becoming friends on social media. They plan to spend some time together, discuss books, and explore opportunities for future collaborations. However, things seem a bit strange in the small town they visit. Through the eyes of Lena, one of the influencers, we get a glimpse of the odd behavior of the townsfolk. We also see how influencers struggle to fit in and keep up with each other instead of just enjoying their love for books.

As the story progresses, it turns from a fun adventure into a psychological thriller, leaving readers wondering what is happening. The book is written in Modglin's signature short and sweet style, quickly immersing readers into the story. However, when the twist is revealed, the story takes a bit of a dip. The reasoning behind the strange happenings in the town doesn't make much sense, and the abrupt ending is unsatisfying. The bonus chapter set one year later doesn't provide a clear conclusion either.

The narrator does a fantastic job conveying the intensity and psychological aspects of the story. Very well done. Overall, the book is a wild ride. It's a quick read that's packed with action and excitement, making it perfect for a one-sitting read. Definitely worth the read.

Give me a book about 6 book influencers in a rental house in the country and let me guess what's going to happen next! I couldn't stop listening and staying up WAY too late, wondering what was going to happen next. The neighbors had me scratching my head, not sure who was telling the truth...and then the betrayal! The ending had my mind blown and I was shook!

Bravo, Kiersten! Bravo!

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the ALC of the ARC!

Well I definitely did not guess how this was going to turn out! I think a lot of readers will relate to the cast of characters in the books. They are all social media influencers that meet up at a cabin in the woods. Only…. things begin to go awry 👀

KMOD is one of my favourite authors and never let’s me down. You’ll never Know I’m Here is full of Kiersten’s signature twists and turns and one of those books that’s impossible to put down once you start.

What could possibly go wrong when a group of six book influencers meet up for a weekend away of bookish fun. Weird vibes, a last minute drop out, odd neighbours and a possible sight of a murder start this weekend off on a bad foot … and it just gets worse!

Hugely entertaining - I kept thinking of my fellow bookstagrammers, and might skip any future planned weekends away 😂
Beautifully narrated by Narrated by Stacy Gonzalez 🎧

Six book influencers went on a weekend getaway to connect with their fellow creators, but strange things started happening. From an absent host, an unexpected guest, to the strange behaviour of the neighbours, it soon became a weekend of terror.

This was a relatively short book that could be read in one sitting. As expected, this was a pop-corn thriller with some slasher elements which I quite enjoyed. However, I’m sad to say that the plot twist in the end didn’t end up working for me. It felt a bit far fetching for me personally.

If you’re after a quick, fun read and wouldn’t mind unrealistic turns in the details, this one could be for you! The book influencer setting was fun addition for me.

Thank you to Net Galley for the advance reader audio copy of this book. I am a huge Modglin fan, but You'll Never Know I'm Here, does not measure up to her other books. The premise, people stuck together in a cabin/house, trying to get along, but mysteries come about, has been overdone in my opinion. The fact that these people all are authors or love reading and writing gave me high hopes for this book. In the end, I didn't care for the (too many) characters and didn't really care what happened to them. 3 stars only because I finished it and love Kiersten Modglin.

I love Kierstin Modlin's books and eagerly look forward to reading her new ones.
Her latest felt especially important in todays heightened. climate towards banning books. Six book influencers, who have corresponded and become close friends via the internet, are scheduled to finally get together and meet in person. It's a smart concept but appears to lose momentum as the book races to its conclusion. Yet, it was still worth reading for that fast-paced and suspenseful story.

Kiersten Modglin's "You'll Never Know I'm Here" starts strong. The premise is intriguing, and the suspense builds effectively as the protagonist delves deeper into the mystery. The book kept me engaged, eager to find out what was really going on.

However, the cracks begin to show in the second half. The characters, while initially likable, don't develop much depth as the story progresses. The romance subplot, though well-integrated, feels a bit unnecessary and takes away from the central mystery.

The biggest letdown is the ending. The twist itself isn't bad, but it feels rushed and doesn't quite deliver the jaw-dropping payoff the book seems to be building towards. It left me feeling a little cheated after all the suspenseful build-up.

Overall, "You'll Never Know I'm Here" is a decent thriller with a great central idea. If you're looking for a quick, engaging read that will keep you guessing for a while, this might be a good pick. But if you crave a complex plot and a truly surprising twist, you might be left wanting more.

Lina is so excited to finally meet her book influencer friends in person on a fun filled weekend in Kentucky. These friends have only communicated via social media and texts and are so excited to spend some time together getting to know one another and creating new content. Lina is just coming out of a rough divorce and isn't sure how she feels about Memphis, the attractive bookstore owner, being a surprise addition to the weekend trip. She will find that she will need him as the weekend progresses because things are about to take a turn to thriller novel level.

I enjoyed the narrator of this book quite a bit. Modglin does a nice job choosing people to narrate her books. The premise of this book was great, but the ending felt rushed to me and there was so much that happened in the last 2 chapters that it felt unbelievable. I could have used more lead up to the big twist!

I was not able to download the file to listen to this audio book but I read the book so I can still give the review that way.I am a HUGE Kiersten Modglin fan. While this wasn't as fast paced as her books typically are, this was still a good read.. I really enjoyed most of this book, but the ending didn't do it for me. I would give the first 3/4 of the book 4 stars, and the ending I would give 1.5 or 2 start.

I feel ....underwhelmed? Confused? Dissatisfied?
The book is a great concept it's about a bunch of book influencers from different genres meet at a cabin in the woods ...wait no just an air bnb in a small town. The build up to this story takes up the first 82% of the book and then end felt rushed, awkward and filled with missed opportunities.
Love the author but this felt it was missing the finesse we normally get

This was such a catchy synopsis, especially since I went on my very own book retreat with bookstagram friends just last month. GUYS, the trip was amazing. This book? Not so bad either. I'm a sucker for books about books, authors, and reading. Make it thriller and I'm basically eating out of your palm.... or I should be. I was definitely engaged, I'll give you that. Was I thrilled? Not as much as I hoped. The reveal was a little too out there, which is what I have come to expect from Modglin if I'm honest (minus Hemolock!). It's like I know I am going to enjoy the first 80 percent of her books, but the last 20 percent is going to make me question life, and then I'll end up rating it three stars because it was still a mostly fun ride. Or in this case, 3.5.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for my audiobook in exchange for feedback.

KMod has quickly become one of my favorite auto buy authors. So there was no doubt when I seen You’ll Never Know I’m Here on NetGalley, I immediately requested it. This. one did not disappoint. It was fast paced and had me listening at record speed. However, sadly the ending just didn’t work for me. I don’t want to say too much, as I do not want to spoil anything, is it good, yes. Just didn’t love the ending. I still recommend even thought this was my least favorite book by this author to date.

A huge thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy in exchange for a honest review. 3.5 stars! Can’t wait to pick up another KMod book super soon. Such an incredible storyteller.

Love to read about bookstrammers? This one is for you! Who wouldn’t love the idea of meeting up with your fave book bloggers for a weekend away to read and spend time together.

Well, unless you think you’ve just seen the neighbor murdered. And the town is super sketchy. And things start to go wrong…..

I enjoyed this story. The romance was light but still felt realistic. The ending did sit well with me. KMod is well known for her fast paced thrillers, and I think the ending was just too much story to be read too fast. A lot of buildup and then it just sort of stopped. A good message, just needed a bit more to it.

Until the next one!

Ok so I loved the overall synopsis of this book, like I’m a bookstagrammer reading a book about bookstagrammers… but in all honesty this book fell a little short. Especially in comparison to the author’s other books.

A group of book influencers decide to meet up for a weekend of books, content, and fun! Little did they know they were in store for a lot more while staying in the middle of no where… Our FMC Lena had a strange feeling from the start of the trip but she really gets concerned when she “thinks she witnessed a murder” but the local police turn up no signs.

I did really enjoy the narrator, she did an awesome job with portraying each character.
I also enjoyed that it was a fast paced read that can be knocked out in a day.

Modglin always hits with a locked room mystery. This one is about a group of readers/reviewers who meet online and decide to get together to meet and spend a weekend together at a remote location.

This premise is so interesting to me as a bookstagrammer. The relationships you make with other readers can be strong. You feel like you know someone really well, even if you havent met them. If I ever meet up with fellow bookstagrammers, I hope it goes better than this experience

I loved the first 75 % of the book. It was engaging, it was thrilling and suspenseful. BUT the ending was ridiculous. I actually laughed out loud when the reveal of why this was all happening came about. I know to suspend reality when reading Modgin's books (that is part of the fun) but this was just too much. The silliest and craziest reason to hunt these book readers down. Although some people are really that crazy so maybe it is possible....

Be careful who you meet online!

As far as the narration- fantastic as all her novels are.

Thank you #NetGalley and #DreamscapeMedia for granting me access to this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

I'll be honest, the first 75% of the book is a solid 4.5 stars, and the last 25% of this book took a very weird turn completely out of nowhere and I dropped it down to 2.5 stars. I suppose this book can be considered a book about books, but you really wouldn't know that until the end (the last 25% that I spoke of).

This book was pretty short too, but I feel like it was because the author didn't know how to properly introduce the main point of her book. The premise of the characters was good. I enjoyed them very much. The plot begins to thicken somewhere in the middle, but by the time you arrive at the "ta-da" or finale, it very much goes downhill from there and then it ends very quickly.

I love books about the book world. I also love thrillers and mysteries as audiobooks because I can't skip ahead and spoil the ending.

With that being said, the book felt strange for me. It was a bit all over the place, which was harder to track on audiobook. Wasn't my favorite, but I also didn't feel like I wasted my time with it.
