I’m always so hesitant to read the sequel of a book that I loved. Especially when it isn’t fully needed. BUT did this one show me why I continue to read sequels even with that hesitation. I am so glad I was able to read this. Thanks NetGalley!

The Next Mrs. Parrish was such a slick, addictive thriller—I couldn’t stop reading as the layers of deception unfolded. I loved how the story twisted and turned, keeping me guessing about who was really in control. The characters were dark and complex, making the drama even more intense and captivating. It was the kind of page-turner that kept me hooked until the very last shocking reveal.

Amber, Daphne and Jackson are back.

Daphne who fled to California after her divorce was done with her kids, is having trouble with Tulullah and demands to see her father. Jackson who is in prison was released in time to stop amber who had been playing the devoted wife while her husband is locked up, is planning her escape. Well things don’t go to plan, amber wants to be rich, Jackson wants Daphne and Daphne wants freedoms. Another summer of backstabbing and lies and revenge will everyone get what they want? I read this book in 4 hours it was so good

The Next Mrs. Parrish is a sequel. I was excited to read this book because I enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish. Unfortunately this book fell short. There were so many different characters that just kept being added which made it difficult to keep track of.

What a story! Such twisty plots. I did have to stop for a minute to review the characters there were a few of them. But great addition to the series.

What I’ve learned with Liv Constantine is you can’t go wrong with a LC book! This was an amazing sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish.

The Next Mrs. Parrish was such a fun follow-up with lots of surprises. Oh, how I loved this book.

Thank you NetGalley, Random House, and Liv Constantine for allowing me to read this ARC.

I LOVED The Last Mrs. Parrish and really wanted to love this one too, but I couldn't get into it and DNF.

I absolutely loved the first book in this series. I was super excited to get this one. Somehow between book 1 and book 2 I decided that books where people feel so intitled are just not for me. I couldn't stand these characters. I ended up DNFing the book.

I do think the writing was great. I will continue to read Liv Constantine. If you love books with problematic characters read this.

Didn’t hate it, didn’t love it. The first book will always be better. I might recommend people skip this one

While I loved the first installment in this series, this sequel felt a little slow through the first half of the book. Amber was great and I was definitely more interested in her POV as well as Daisy Ann’s, but Daphne seemed much more naive to the point where it was actually unbelievable and I found Tallulah extremely annoying. I think this story would have been fine if it was just left as it was at the end of the Last Mrs. Parrish but if this story continues, I hope to see a less predictable plot and faster pacing.

The Next Mrs. Parrish brings us right back into the twisted, high-society world of Daphne and Amber. This a fast paced read much like the first. The sequel doesn’t feel quite live up to the first but that seems to be pretty common in most series. Some twists were predictable, and it stretched a little in believability. Still, if you enjoyed the first book, this one is worth the read. just don’t expect it to top the original.

Thanks to NetGalley for an ARC.

This sequel is one wild ride. Much like the first book this one isn’t particularly realistic, but it was fun. It took me a while to really get into this one because I didn’t really like any of the characters and it was hard to sink into this story. Once I got in it was a real page turner. Daphne reluctantly returns to Connecticut so the girls can see their father after Tallulah threatened to run away too many times. She feels confident, but Jackson is nothing if not scheming. This book was also hard to read at times given the levels of abuse discussed. I will say the ending was quite satisfactory and left me pleased. I hope this is the end for these characters as much as I enjoyed them because the ending really was perfect.

Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to receive this book for an honest review. I had such high hopes since the first book in the series was so good. I found this one to be just ok. This ended up being a slow read for me and didn't keep my attention as easy. I am still happy I read it though. I don't want to deter others from reading

Did not get to read - have way too many books on the shelf. Need to clear some out. Hope to get to this one in the future though.

This was a like not a love. Did there need to be a sequel to this story? Probably not but here we are & I absolutely had to read it. Would still pick up new releases by this author but this one fell flat for me.

The Next Mrs. Parrish
By Liv Constantine
Review and Rating 4⭐️

If you loved The Last Mrs. Parrish, you will love The Next Mrs. Parrish. A thoroughly entertaining page-turner, I was once again hooked from the start of this book!
You are going to hate the characters, most of them anyway, but if you love twists and turns I definitely recommend this one! 4⭐️

Thanks to the author, Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine, and #Netgalley for the eARC. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley.

Daphne & Amber Parrish are back in book #2.

Amber Parrish is plotting her next move. With Jackson in prison, but coming home soon, and the money quickly dwindling away due to her lavish spending, she knows she needs to go. She needs her next "victim." While discussing the possibility of selling the boat with Jackson, his vehement wishes of not selling it leads her to believe there is more than meets the eye with that boat.

Daphne Parrish has moved from Long Island to California to start over her life. However, her oldest daughter is really struggling with not seeing her father anymore. With the aid of their therapist, Daphne comes up with a plan to spend the summer in Long Island so that the girls can see their father. However, the visit must be by her rules and no one else's. Jackson has no say since he terminated his parental rights. As expected, he agrees to these terms, but is full of baloney.

The twists and turns in this novel continue to the end. Buckle up!

Ok I LOVED this book!

I was definitely skeptical about a sequel to a thriller that seemed to wrap up pretty nicely by the end? But the insanity just continued and was so much fun to read. I really enjoyed the new perspective of Daisy Ann and seeing her intertwine in the wild story that the Parrish's have found themselves in.

I think that it was helpful to have read the prequel novella on kindle before going into this book since the events of that story were a main plot point in this one, but it also could have been fun to discover that plot in this book.

4.5 stars rounded up
