Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to receive this book for an honest review. I had such high hopes since the first book in the series was so good. I found this one to be just ok. This ended up being a slow read for me and didn't keep my attention as easy. I am still happy I read it though. I don't want to deter others from reading

Did not get to read - have way too many books on the shelf. Need to clear some out. Hope to get to this one in the future though.

This was a like not a love. Did there need to be a sequel to this story? Probably not but here we are & I absolutely had to read it. Would still pick up new releases by this author but this one fell flat for me.

This was a ok sequel although thw first book was way better. This ended up being a slow read for me and didn't keep my attention as easy. I am still happy I read it though. Thank you for the ARc copy.

The Next Mrs. Parrish

Review and Rating 4⭐️
If you loved The Last Mrs. Parrish, you will love The Next Mrs. Parrish. A thoroughly entertaining page-turner, I was once again hooked from the start of this book!
You are going to hate the characters, most of them anyway, but if you love twists and turns I definitely recommend this one! 4⭐️
Thanks to the author, Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine, and #Netgalley for the eARC. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley.
Daphne & Amber Parrish are back in book #2.
Amber Parrish is plotting her next move. With Jackson in prison, but coming home soon, and the money quickly dwindling away due to her lavish spending, she knows she needs to go. She needs her next "victim." While discussing the possibility of selling the boat with Jackson, his vehement wishes of not selling it leads her to believe there is more than meets the eye with that boat.
Daphne Parrish has moved from Long Island to California to start over her life. However, her oldest daughter is really struggling with not seeing her father anymore. With the aid of their therapist, Daphne comes up with a plan to spend the summer in Long Island so that the girls can see their father. However, the visit must be by her rules and no one else's. Jackson has no say since he terminated his parental rights. As expected, he agrees to these terms, but is full of baloney.
The twists and turns in this novel continue to the end. Buckle up!

Ok I LOVED this book!
I was definitely skeptical about a sequel to a thriller that seemed to wrap up pretty nicely by the end? But the insanity just continued and was so much fun to read. I really enjoyed the new perspective of Daisy Ann and seeing her intertwine in the wild story that the Parrish's have found themselves in.
I think that it was helpful to have read the prequel novella on kindle before going into this book since the events of that story were a main plot point in this one, but it also could have been fun to discover that plot in this book.
4.5 stars rounded up

It was a quick read and enjoyable, but I can’t really give it a good star rating. It’s so difficult to read a second book with the main character that is so unlikable..

I was excited to see that a sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish was coming out because that book had me turning the pages quickly. This one started out having the same affect but fell short of my expectations. There was almost too much going on with the added viewpoint of Daisy Ann. Not to mention how short sided some of Daphne's thinking and rationalizing is (I don't want to give anything away here). Even as a mother myself I could not wrap my head around some of the choices she made. This was just a three and a half star read for me.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a fee ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.

Amber is back and she's still as fun to hate as ever. She's living the life while Jackson is in prison for tax evasion though that's soon going to end since he'll soon be out of jail. That's not all, Daphne is back on the East Coast when her daughter runs away and Jackson as always is trying to win her back. To add in more drama, someone from Amber's past is looking for revenge.
This book was pure drama and chaos and I loved it. With all the action going on I needed to know how it was going to come together and I thoroughly enjoyed it through the very end. Another winner by Liv Constantine!
Thank you Net Galley for this eARC!

This was such a fun sequel to the previous installment. There were twists and turns at every page, and the suspense continued through the whole book. I really enjoyed these characters (loved to hate some of them).

I decided to pick up this sequel because I enjoyed the first book. I figured I would see what the characters were up to. However, I am not really sure this sequel needed to be made. I enjoyed the addition of Daisy Ann especially because it gave more of a backstory on Amber, which I found really intriguing. But for the most part I didn't really care what happened to them in the end.
I ended up putting the book down for a while because I could not comprehend some of the decisions the characters were making. I was getting irrational angry with them. I know that a lot of characters in a thriller make dumb decisions but these were just over the top.
I also felt that the conclusion of the book was so rushed. I almost missed how one of the plot lines was resolved because it was basically a sentence or two.
All in all I think the first one is a lot better and there are other books to spend your time with.
*Thank you to NetGalley, Liv Constantine, and Random House Publishing Group for sending me an ARC to review. As always, all thoughts are my own.*

I finally read the sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish. Thankfully you do not have to reread the book in order to understand and enjoy this one. There’s enough backstory to jog your memory.
This was a well done sequel. Amber is still the most annoying character ever. Most of the characters in this series are just awful. I did like the addition of Daisy Ann and her revenge fueled plot line. Oh and the twists at the end just kept coming. I liked this one a little more than the first.

This book was not good, which is really unfortunate because I loved the first one.
Thank you Net Galley & to the publisher for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

"The Next Mrs. Parrish" by Liv Constantine is going to be on your TBR if you read the first one but should it be? This was not really a story begging for a sequel. It is well written and paced but after so much time perhaps just write a new story? This one was fine but unnecessary.

I’ll definitely recommend this book to everybody! The story was amazing and written very well! The story was unpredictable and it made it that much more enjoyable to read because I was all over the place.

The Next Mrs. Parrish was a satisfying and twisty sequel that delivered exactly what I hoped for. It did a great job refreshing my memory of The Last Mrs. Parrish without slowing the pace, making it easy to jump back into the world of Daphne, Amber, and Jackson. I’ve always loved a good domestic thriller, and this one hit all the right notes—manipulation, tension, secrets, and shifting alliances. It was the perfect read to kick off my summer TBR and had me turning pages late into the night. Fans of the first book won’t be disappointed.

The Next Mrs. Parrish had my BLOOD BOILING!!!
Baby, there were parts of this book that pulled on my heartstrings, had me sick to my stomach, and literally screaming at Daphne. I understood her love for her children, but damn girl, I was scared she was going end up at the bottom of the ocean.
Daisy Ann. That's all I have to say on her.
Amber - yep. Earned it.
Jackson - Ditto. You did too.
Now, this ending? I don't think I could stomach another set of twists and turns that skyrockets my blood pressure to find out what happens next. But I am lowkey on the excited side that somebody is getting their just dues.
This book really plays with your perception and emotions. It shows you exactly what you need to see, even in the POVs of Daphne and Daisy Ann, you see the direct impact of both Amber and Jackson's decisions. You see in real time how it affects everyone involved.

This book absolutely didn't need to be written. I LOVED the first book, but this one was just boring and a waste of time.

Highly recommend this book, amazing story, fantastically told and the characters are rich and loathsome!
