I will reiterate what other reviewers have said- it really does help to read the prequel First Shot before starting this! I don't think it is totally necessary, but I think it does add a lot of helpful background on Amber. Understanding her relationship with Daisy Ann would be a little difficult without it! This book will be the perfect addition to any summer beach bag! I found it a little less stress-inducing than The Last Mrs. Parrish because we know how smart and capable Daphne is, but still found myself on the edge of my seat with Jackson's antics. I really have trouble with the involvement of the children in all his mind games, especially now that they are both older than in the first book. Overall, I enjoyed it but it was a little bit of an uncomfortable reading experience!!

The next Mrs. Parrish is as psychotic as Mr Parrish himself.
Two peas in a pod.
This was hard for me to take to because the first Mrs Parrish, Daphne, returned willingly to the scene
of all the crimes committed against her by her husband, with her two daughters and I simply could not wrap my head around
the idea of any woman doing that after the horrors she endured as a result of his machinations and murderous intent.
She had a good life in California, albeit with a daughter who blamed her for every single unhappy moment in her teen life, but
a life that she could live with.
She puts it all on hold and moves back across country for the summer so that her daughters might connect with their father,
newly released from prison on parole, and perhaps bring some peace back in to their lives.
Ha.
Dream on.
Jackson Parrish and his current wife, Amber are as crazy as they come and between them set out to do all the things to
Daphne that worked so well the last time round.
Throw in another "millionairess" who is out to make Amber pay for the killing of her father (Amber's past husband) and you have'
stories colliding all over the place.
Not hard to follow but just a bit of a deal fitting all the pieces together.
Good creepy character builds and well defined story but just, once again, the idea that she would move back near the spider's web
with two daughters involved was not believable for me.

The sisters have done it again! First page and I was sucked into the story of Amber and Daphne. The twists throughout the book kept me engaged and wanting to finish in one sitting, the ending makes me want more, Please say there will be another! Kudos ladies! Another winner!

I have read all of this author’s other books, and have loved them all. So I was really excited for this one that had some of our favorite characters from the first Mrs. Parrish. However, the writing in this book was just not of the standard that I’ve come to expect from this author. At times it was overly detailed and descriptive of things that just didn’t really seem to need that level of attention. The description of every single outfit that they wore simply to show they had money seemed unnecessary. That being said the story still had the twists and turns that I expect from this author, and that’s really what kept me in the book and turning the pages, despite feeling uninspired by the writing. Certainly an easy quick read and a book that is worth reading, if only for a revisit with characters, both deplorable and commendable that we love

I really liked the first book in this series. It was exciting that there was a second released to continue the story. But I’m not entirely sure it was necessary. The story kept me interested, but it dragged a little bit in the middle. I thought the ending was good and wrapped everything up pretty nicely.

This isn’t a 5 star read this is a 10 star!

I was at the edge of my seat reading & so upset at Daphne for making the decisions she was making!

I’ve never hated a fictional character more than I hated Jackson! Did he get what he deserved? Guess you have to read to find out!
I loved this book so much! Maybe because I did a re-read or the last mrs parrish and the last shot so it was all fresh in my mind.

I loved that we jump back into the world with Amber, Jackson, Daphne & our new character Daisy Ann. Daisy Ann came with a vengeance & I loved every part of it!

This book was insane from start to finish. I loved the first book and I knew I'd love this one. It was harrowing and filled with lies and deceit, and what a crazy ending!!

Jackson is in prison for tax evasion, Amber is stealing all his money, and Daphne is living in California. It gets repetitive and predictable once Daphne and the girls visit Jackson upon the suggestion of her therapist. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy.

Thank you for the ARC!
Loved this book by Liv Constantine ! I read the first one and loved it and was super excited to read the second.
This story had my attention and I couldn’t put it down. The story continues with the same characters and loved how it played out. Definitely recommend !

I was sooo very excited to be selected to read the ARC of this book! I have anticipated this sequel since it was annouced. Thank you for the opportunity!

All of that being said, this did not disappoint! This takes us right back to Bishops Harbor and into the lives of Amber and Daphne. When Jackson Parrish is released from prison for tax evasion he brings back chaos into both Amber and Daphne's lives. Has Jackson changed? Is Amber just as much of a victim of his as Daphne? And now theres a new character in the mix, hell bent justice. More than once I was left saying omg! out loud. I loved this sequel and cannot wait to recommend it to other readers.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4.5
Thank you NetGalley & Liv Constantine for the ARC!

I absolutely loved the first book The Last Mrs. Parrish and I was so excited to hear there was a sequel coming out this June.

This one did not disappoint and I loved that she brought in a new character, Daisy-Ann. I was not expecting the ending and I was thrilled how many twist and turns there were!

I highly recommend this series if you haven’t read it yet. Liv is a genius and I cannot wait to continue reading her books.

Coming June 2024! The Next Mrs. Parrish is the sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish and the novella, The First Shot. I didn’t realize that I needed a sequel to dive in deeper to these characters, but I’m glad we have it now. Amber and Jackson are back and meaner than ever. I couldn’t wait to see what happened next!
I don’t think you necessarily need to read The First Shot in order to understand what happens in this story, but it does help to know some background info. Luckily the author fills us in during The Next Mrs. Parrish in case you missed it.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bantam for my ARC in exchange for my review!

This book was very good, but I feel like it was a little long winded. I do think that it was a good follow up to the first book.

I love these co-author/sisters books. Loved the first in this series The Last Mrs. Parrish, so I was so EXCITED when I saw they were writing another story about Daphne and Amber, the two Mrs. Parrish’s.

Daphne was the first Mrs. Parrish and Amber is the next one. I have to say both of these ladies are so darn resourceful. Daphne escaped Jackson along with their two girls. Amber is now with Jackson and they have a small son. She has finally got what she wants as a socialite, but Jackson has been in prison for tax-evasion and is about to get out. Amber wants plans on leaving Jackson.
Bishops Harbor is where they live and things get crazy. When Daphne left years ago she planned to never go back, but their daughter is struggling and the therapist wants her to take her back to Bishops Harbor to spend time with their dad. He agrees and the plans are to spend the summer in town so the children can get to know their step-brother and spend time with their dad.

As you can imagine that does not go well for either wife. Daphne has protected her daughters from the past, but trouble starts soon after their arrival.

Non-stop action as these two women navigate their past, present and future with Jackson. Ambers past is catching up with her and Daphne wants a future without all the drama.
Get ready for one crazy ride with all the drama, characters and Jackson’s ways….

I will start by saying that I really enjoyed the first book, The Last Mrs. Parrish, and I had extremely high expectations for the second novel in the Mrs. Parrish series. This sequel, The Next Mrs. Parrish, did not have me sitting on the edge of my seat like the first novel, however there were some twists I did not see coming, especially near the end, that elevated the reading experience. This book can be read as a standalone book, however reading The Last Mrs. Parrish will give you so much empathy for Daphne. Also, if you have a chance, check out the prequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish, The First Shot, for another glimpse into devious, conniving Amber.

I look forward to listening to this book when it comes out in its audio format.

I am going to round this book up to a 4, however it is more like a 3.5.

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House publishing for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Great sequel and story. Started out a little predictable and I couldn’t believe that the story seemed like it was following the first book. Then I loved how Daisy Ann came
Into the story. Loved the ending. Thanks for the ARC NetGalley

Wow. Liv Constantine peaked with the original Mrs. Parrish and has gone downhill since. The plot is ridiculous. I could not be less interested. I really wanted to like this. Was so looking forward to it. There were also a lot of mistakes. One scene described the house in Long island instead of on Long island sound.

This book continues where the first one left off! Daphne and her daughters having escaped Jackson and his abusive ways are thriving in California. Amber is enjoying life while Jackson is in prison and finding ways to spend and hide his money before he gets out so she can escape.

Once Jackson gets out of prison the nightmares begin all over again for these women and the drama ensues. The twists and turns in this book are as crazy as the first. I really enjoyed this book and was not disappointed. It was left at another cliffhanger, which makes me think there may be one more in the future. This book is was an ARC read for me and will be published June 18, 2024. Definitely one to put on your list. And read the first before hand if you haven’t already! Thank you to Random House and NetGalley for the ARC! #TheNextMrsParrish#NetGalley#RandomHousePublishingGroup-Ballantine

I loved the first book. It was so good and I have been waiting for this second book. When I was approved for this ARC, I immediately set aside my TBR to read this one. So, I think I had high hopes and was quite disappointed. This one really was not great, and I believe it is primarily due to having to suffer through two terrible characters. There was too much focus on Amber and it made me cringe each time.

FIRST-before you read this, read the prequel “The Last Mrs. Parrish”.

I was thrilled to receive this ARC because TLMP was a ⭐️5 read that I finished in one sitting. I LOVED it!

This book left me a little underwhelmed, parts were unrealistic and I was a little disappointed.

Here’s what I DID like-the different POV in each chapter, fast paced throughout, and I think it sets us up that there might be a book number three in this series?

If so, I will definitely read it.

Thank you NetGalley and Random house publishing group-Bantam for the advanced copy.
