Lies, manipulation, mistrust, and conniving characters. All the perfect traits of an amazing read! Jackson, Daphne, and Amber are back and each with a renewed sense of vengeance toward the other. Love them or hate them, these characters blend perfectly to make this a 4 star read. Love, envy and malicious feelings make for a very thrilling read and prove you can't outrun whatever karma you build for yourself. #ARC #Goodreads #Netgalley #Livconstantine #Mrsparrishseries #leelovesliterature

I can see why some people liked this!! Domestic thriller with lots of crazy characters 😅 Maybe if I had read all of the Parrish books lined up I would’ve been more invested. It just didn’t hook me and I felt like I was forcing myself through it especially the second half of the book. The dialogue was so cheesy and everything felt really unrealistic. There were some twists at the end that I didn’t see coming but overall I didn’t love this.

The Next Mrs Parrish drew me in from the first page. The writing style, the characters, and the way the story flows will keep you turning page after page. I do wish I had re read Last Mrs Parrish as a refresher as there are many references to it!
Thank you to netgalley for the arc in exchange of an honest review.

In High School, I'd go to the local paperback exchange and pick up Jackie Collins novels. They were trash, but entertaining trash. I relished the tales of beautiful schemers and the insanely rich. The first Mrs. Parrish book took a page or two from Ms. Collins and I liked it well enough to see what happened next. I wish I hadn't. This is a book about terrible people doing terrible things (and shopping for luxury brands). Our heroine, Daphne was sympathetic in the first book and might continue to be so in book two if she wasn't so irredeemably stupid. We have a new narrator (Daisy Ann) in this book, who is not stupid, but only exists for a single purpose, which I can not reveal without toppling the house of cards plot. There are no thrills to be had here and I had to force myself to skim the last 20% of the pages to reach the big yawn conclusion. I can only hope the reading world has seen the last of these characters.
Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to preview this completely unnecessary cash grab, um sequel.

They’re baaacckkk!! Talk about two people who are the worst! Jackson and Amber deserve each other. Daphne holds her own against those two, but has one hell of a time. Daisy Ann, a new character, also has to step up into the game. With two sociopaths and their mind games, they make this story entertaining. Good sequel.

I was so excited to read the sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish and sadly I don’t think anything will beat the first one. Jackson and Amber are still as insufferable as ever. I didn’t really appreciate the addition of the new character, Daisy Ann. It just seemed kind of convoluted and hard to follow. Although, I did not read the prequel so maybe that would have helped. The first part of the story was a SUPER slow burn but the second part really picked up! The ending saved it and I’m wondering if there will be a third 👀. Overall, I give it 3/5 ⭐️. Thank you Liv Constantine, Netgalley, and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine, Bantam for my eARC in exchange for an honest review.

What a thrill to have a sequel, and what a wicked good time to read. Perfect summer beach read, and happy to talk it up. Can’t wait for the next book!

I loved revisiting the characters originally introduced in The Last Mrs Parrish. I was beyond excited when I heard there was a sequel. Well this book definitely lived up to my expectations! The twists and turns in this book are perfection! Thank you NetGalley and Bantam for the advanced copy of the book

I was pleasantly surprised to see another installment of this series because in all honesty, I feel like the first story wrapped up in a pretty satisfying way. I loved the first book as well as the short story prequel, so I was interested to check out this one too. I feel like this book had more of a family drama vibe than a thriller vibe (at least in comparison to the other books), but that might just be me. I also found the pacing to be quite slow (sometimes painfully), but ultimately, it did pick up around the halfway mark for me.
Overall, it was fine... Not really a needed thriller in my opinion. I think I would've preferred to read a brand new story from these authors rather than this sequel. I did like though how it all came together in the end so I added a star for the resolution.
Thank you to the publisher and to NetGalley for providing an e-ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was a bit disappointed by this book, I’m not sure we needed a sequel! The ending of the first book was so satisfying, and this sequel felt a bit like a prolonged action film. I missed the depth the characters had in the first book.
I did enjoy Daisy Ann’s perspective and how Daphne was able to thrive post divorce. The rest of the book was a bit meh to me, which is a bummer!

Highly recommend checking out The First Shot before this book! It made everything make so much more sense. Amber, Daphne, and Jackson are back and what a ride!!! I enjoyed this so much. I was late to the original book and just read it for the first time a few weeks ago so it was fresh in my mind. I loved this! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC.

WHAT A WILD RIDE.
Liv has done it again! The Next Mrs. Parrish picks up a bit after the first book ends and takes us right back into the world of our favorite characters. Daphne is living a beautiful life with her daughters and mom in California, but the eldest daughter is building resentment because she hasn’t been able to see her father and blames her mom. Daphne agrees to take the girls back to visit Jackson for the summer and that’s where the wild ride begins. Jackson and his new wife Amber hate each other and they formulate a plot to help Jackson get Daphne back and Amber to leave. Of course nothing goes as planned and the story is full of lies, deception, and more of the crazy that we’ve grown to expect from this bunch. There were a couple of times that I thought that the book would end poorly however, Liz never fails to surprise readers with an unthinkable ending.

I was very happy with the ending of the first book in the series, so was skeptical about a sequel at first, but it was a great decision by the authors! This was a fast paced read that had me hooked from the beginning, and the new POV from Daisy Ann added an extra layer to the story and to Amber’s character that made her all the more detestable, yet engaging. I’m glad that Daphne came out on top once again, and thought the story was wrapped up perfectly- but I would never be opposed to more of Amber’s antics, and look forward to finding out how she will manuever out of her current situation if we ever get another sequel :)

I have been waiting so long for this book and... it was WORTH THE WAIT! Liv Constantine did not disappoint in bringing back some great characters for an epic finale! Spoiler alert - the villains finally get what is coming to them after years of abuse and horrific crimes! I am guessing that readers have also not seen the last of new character Daisy Anne - another strong female in pursuit of justice! Hoping to read more of her story!
Thank you for the advance reader copy! I only wish I could give this book 6 stars!

So so good loved Mrs.Parrish was so excited to read this follow up.A book full of so many twists and turns a totally involving read will be recommending #netgalley#doubleday.

I didn't think this could be better than my all time favorite "The Last Mrs. Parrish", but it was!!!!!! This was so juicy, so exciting, and twisty!!!! I loved it so much!

Awesome. I freaking loved this book! So much drama and so many lies. I really never knew what to believe. Jaw dropping twists all the way through. Fantastic book! Thank you NetGalley for this arc

The Next Mrs. Parrish was such a great cat and mouse suspenseful read where you really can’t figure out who’s doing what. A fast paced thrilling read. I refreshed my memory with the first shot. Definitely love these characters.

As other reviewers have noted, be sure to read The First Shot by the authors, available on Kindle Unlimited.
Despite disliking every single character in the first book, when I saw this one, I requested it - if for no other reason than hoping that Jackson and / or Amber would get their just desserts.
Cons -
*it’s wildly unrealistic and in reading this, your suspension of disbelief will get quite a workout
*it’s predictable and didn’t really start moving until the midway point.
*characters have no growth
*and Daphne? I was so frustrated reading her parts and just wanted to shake some sense into her
Pros -
*once the plot picked up, it’s very readable
I’m an outlier in my opinion of this, as many other early reviews seemed to really enjoy this.
Thank you to Bantam and NetGalley for the DRC

I know I’m in the minority, but I was underwhelmed by this book. The whole premise of Daphne having any contact at all with Jackson seemed ridiculous to me. I found most of it kind of boring; I was never excited to return to my kindle and start reading a new chapter. I’m sure other people will love it, but it wasn’t for me.
