I wasn't sure that The Next Mrs. Parrish, but I was wrong. This one may even be better. The final twist was a doozy!! I highly recommend!!

Well this one took me no time at all to finish, just like the first. Another one of Liz Constantine’s books that did not disappoint and that I did not want to put down!

A story full of allies + betrayal. If you enjoyed The First Mrs Parrish, please do read the sequel, The Next Mrs. Parrish. Personally, I just couldn't get into it, it wasn't for me. I

After reading the first book I was excited to see the Parrishes were back! Despite not liking any of the characters in the first book, I picked this one up hoping someone would get some justice. I honestly enjoyed this one more than the first! It was much more fast paced and had several twist I did not see coming. While I think this could be read as a stand alone, reading it second gives more context to the characters and why they act the way they do. Thank you net galley for the ARC.

I absolutely loved this follow-up to The Last Mrs. Parish. Liv Constantine is a dynamic author duo and always find a way to craft an addictive story. The Next Mrs. Parrish was filled with suspense and so many unlikeable characters (ahem Amber & Mr. Parrish). The ending did leave me craving more though! After reading both books I’d love to read a book explicitly about Mr. Parrish, maybe a prequel to examine his life and what lead him to be so controlling. I will be recommending this to family and friends!

Wow, wow!! This sequel to The Next Mrs. Parrish is incredible!!! I was so excited to see this book and to receive an advanced reader copy. The story of Jackson, Daphne, and Amber continues with the addition of Daisy Ann, a delightful, smart woman whose life crosses with Amber’s. Filled with excitement, intrigue and shock, Liv Constantine wrote an excellent sequel that made me want to jump into the pages and scream and yell at what was happening! This is a definite must read, especially if you have read The Next Mrs. Parrish.
Thank you to Random House publishing- Ballentine for an advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest opinion. Don’t miss this read!

I think I liked this book better than the first Mrs. Parrish which is high praise! The twists and turns were exciting and made it so I could not put the book down. This will be a great summer thriller for anyone looking for a beach or pool read. I also didn't remember much about the first one (other than the fact that I liked it) and that did not matter. I was brought back up to speed pretty quickly.

This is my first book from the author. I looked online to get a small recap of the previous book but after I started reading that is not really needed as the authors give background from the first book in this book as well. Lots of twists and turns that I didn’t see coming made this book enjoyable. It had me laughing and shocked all at the same time. Overall, I would read more from this author in the future.

I actually squealed when I saw that NetGalley had approved me for an ARC of this book. I loved the original so I anxiously anticipated this one. It did not disappoint. Daphne had escaped Jackson’s clutches but returns to the evil and twisted world of Amber and Jackson. We meet a new character, Daisy Ann, who is sensational. Backstabbing, lies, deceitful plans, and lots of bad guys will keep you turning this pages! 5 stars!

An easy 5 ⭐ read! Although this book is heavy, it is so so good. Such an underrated series that I wish more people knew about.

I'm sure I am one of the millions of readers who have been eagerly awaiting a new Liv Constantine novel and The Next Mrs. Parrish didn’t disappoint. I loved every page of this sequel to their best-selling novel, The Last Mrs. Parrish.

It had been so long, and I’ve read so many books since the first Mrs. Parrish book came out, that reading this was like reading a standalone novel.

It was as great as I hoped and the reviews are all positive! If you haven't read it, what are you waiting for?

Amber Patterson Parrish has come a long way. Hard work and immaculate planning turned her from invisible wallflower to prominent socialite, though there have been bumps along the way. Less than a year after her husband Jackson’s tax-evasion scandal, Amber reigns supreme over the Bishops Harbor community. But with Jackson being released from prison, Amber’s free time — and money — is vanishing.

Meanwhile, Daphne Parrish left Bishops Harbor after her divorce from Jackson, swearing she would never go back. But when one of her daughters runs away from home, desperate to see her father, Daphne agrees to return for the summer for their daughters’ sake. Jackson swears he’s a changed man, but Daphne knows all too well that he can’t be trusted.

When a ghost from Amber’s past emerges looking for revenge, these three figures find unlikely allies in one another. But who is playing who? When all is said and done, they’ll have to fight tooth and nail for everything they have left in this zero-sum game.

In The Last Mrs. Parrish, Amber was able to claw her way to become Jackson Parrish's wife. While Jackson has been serving time for tax evasion, Amber has enjoyed being the queen bee of Bishops Harbor. With Jackson's release from prison imminent, Amber's time and money is running out. Meanwhile, Daphne has never looked back after divorcing Jackson. But when her daughter runs away desperate to see Jackson, Daphne must return to Bishops Harbor and reenter a vicious cat-and-mouse game.

I wasn't the biggest fan of The Last Mrs. Parrish and wasn't sure if it really needed a sequel. Now I can soundly proclaim that it didn't. The Next Mrs. Parrish was an unnecessary return to Bishops Harbor whose premise hinged on Daphne making the most idiotic decision to voluntarily return to Jackson's life. Having escaped Jackson and Amber's psychotic behavior, I cannot believe she would ever go back. From there, the current book felt much like the last one, though all the villains get a proper comeuppance this time.

I never knew how much i needed a sequel until i read this. First of all, Amber at this point is beyond redemption. Who’s worse, her or Jaxson? This was so good, especially that ending. Spoiler alert: they got everything coming to them. I’m so glad i received this arc!

Btw the audiobook was perfect to go with the ebook. And the voice narrator for Jaxson was chefs kiss.

I LOVED the Last Mrs. Parrish, and this sequel did not disappoint!! It started out a bit slow, but the second half of the book had me gasping out loud while I was reading, it was so twisty and good! Daphne had SUCH great character development and I loved the prominent role Daisy Ann played in this one. Amber was her same, twisted self. Overall, this was just such a good, twisty, fun read that I could not put down.

I would say you definitely need to read the first book to understand this one. It was SUCH a good sequel!!

Thanks to Netgalley for the advanced copy to read.

The flair of writing and residing in the sphere where ‘flow’ is a stream you can always plunge in far from reality. The desperation to complete the book with the obstacle of a writer’s block can push you into the zone where you are so consumed you are lost in the world you created in your mind.

With every challenge bringing more excitement and the zest to capture the best of the present time, this book explores a whole other level of passion and zeal. Witness the rise of a ravishing creator as she nurtures the soul.

This book is slow to start but then you cannot put it down! I would suggest reading both the first and pre book before reading this book. A great read!!

Sociopathy vs Psychopathy vs Revenge. If the first "Mrs Parrish" book was a study in psycopathy vs sociopathy with a "normal" person caught in the middle - and it was -, this one is in some ways more of the same, but with the added twist of adding a new character who is just as cunning as both the sociopath and the psychopath, but a more 'normal' person with the added motivation of pure revenge.

Thus, the action tends to be just as despicable here as in the first book, and for that reason many who did not like the first one may in fact not like this one either - so if that is you, seriously, just spare the author the 1* review and skip this one.

But for those who are willing to endure the despicable acts knowing that this book *is* more revenge focused and *does* have some significant (and seeming conclusive, for at least some of the players involved) payoffs... this book is actually quite delicious. Where the first one was more slow and methodical, this one almost seems like a director who has only now learned about quick scene cutting, particularly relative to just how slow the first book was. Almost like an old school, plodding, hours long chess match... and then the next match is over in a brilliant storm of lightning. Not one that will necessarily leave you breathless, but absolutely one where you begin to wonder just how much you've seen and how fast you've seen it. Particularly, again, after the utterly glacial pace of the first book.

Whereas the first book had almost no redeemable qualities about almost none of the characters, here we do get to have a bit more sympathy for at least some of the characters, and that alone will make this book better than the first one for some readers - but you absolutely have to read the first book to be able to fully understand this book.

Ultimately, this was truly well done, and some parts of the ending were truly delicious indeed given all that had happened to that point.

Very much recommended.

I read the 1st Mrs. Parrish books a few weeks ago. I read it because I was excited to read the 2nd one and wanted to read the 1st one first, you know. I’m a big believer in reading all the books in the series if you have an eye on a book that’s not the first one in a series.
I loved the 1st one.
This one? I struggled with it. Struggled hard. I wasn’t ready to give up – I tried going back to it several times. Now I’m stuck at 30% and… yeah. I have given up. I’m not sure if it’s me of if it’s the book. I can’t. I just can’t. It’s not sucking me in. I’m not hooked. I’m not interested. It feels… boring? It has been a really long time since I was actually bored by a book. This book somehow did it for me. Bored me into oblivion.
I’m not deleting it from my Kindle though. I’m willing to give it one more chance. Someday. Maybe. Maybe, that’s a very vague maybe.
Oh well. You can’t love ALL the books, right?

3.5 ⭐️’s
Daphne and Amber return in this sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish. Amber Parrish has come a long way in her young life. Finally reaching the prominent socialite status she so knifed everyone in the back to attain, she looks like she’s living the dream, but with her husband still in prison for tax evasion, she’s quickly running out of money. Not to worry, Amber is conniving as always and has a plan, a plan to leave Jackson high and dry, but she needs to be quick about it because once Jackson is out of jail she’ll have nowhere to turn. Daphne (the last Mrs. Parrish) has moved away and never wants to darken the door of Bishops Harbor again, but when her daughter runs away to meet up with her recently released father, Daphne has to rethink her position. When she decides to visit for the summer, Jackson immediately wants to reconnect and start over, but with his past history Daphne doesn’t believe a word he’s saying. Threatening to take the girls away from her, Daphne soon falls prey to his schemes, but in this cat and mouse tale, no one is who they seem and when an enemy from Amber’s past shows up the stakes are even higher, and the con game notches up to a higher level, but will the good outweigh the evil or will the evil win out in the end? This was an entertaining read, but far from realistic, but the ending does make up for it and will leave you completely satisfied. Thank you to Bantam and NetGalley for an ARC of this book.

Amber Patterson Parrish is preparing for the homecoming of Jackson who has served eight months at Camp Fed for shady accounts. But Amber doesn’t plan to stick around much longer than to say hello. She was finally reaching the pinnacle of Bishop Harbor Society when Jackson went to jail. She has decided to leave Jackson, and their son, taking the millions of dollars she’s stolen from Jackson during his incarceration. When she stumbles upon an unknown stash of jewels, she feels like she is set for a life of privilege and money to which she has become accustomed in her very short marriage.

Meanwhile, Jackson is heart set on reuniting with Daphne, his ex-wife and has plans to bring his children back together under one roof. His ideas about how that needs to be done involve Amber‘s assistance, and then he’ll let her go. Or so he says. Daphne, on the other hand has zero desire to reunite with Jackson but does hope that all of the children can form bonds with each other. Along with Jackson, Junior age 2, Daphne has custody of Bella and Tallulah, Jackson’s daughters.

Along the way we also meet Daisy Anne Briscoe, a very wealthy jewelry designer from Dallas. When she crosses paths with Amber, she calls her a murderer and re-ignites her investigation into Amber. Putting her marriage on the line, she does everything she can to try to prove that Amber was responsible for her father‘s death and should go to jail.

This one had me hooked from page one. As always the writing was clear and concise and grabbed me by the throat, not letting up until the final page. I could feel myself in the opulence of Amber‘s surroundings and the quiet serenity of Daphne‘s life. Everyone of importance in this one had a need to avenge situations from the past and all will eventually get what’s coming to them. I can’t wait to see where the authors take me next.
