This book, the sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish, continues the story of Amber, Jackson, and Daphne. Jackson is soon to be out of prison, something both Amber and Daphne are dreading. Amber just wants to protect her money, Daphne her children. But Jackson is back, and he’s brought a reckoning.
This book was definitely full of surprises, and twists I didn’t see coming. There are only a few likable characters, but that is the point, giving readers people to root for. I felt the ending wrapped up the story nicely, and left me satisfied. I would recommend this book-but read the first one first.

With this being a sequel, I at first had no idea where the story could continue for Daphne and Amber.
Remaining up to their old antics, both Amber and Jackson find themselves unable to change which gives us a great story with numerous side plots to tie together unexpectedly at the end.

I loved this book (maybe even more than The Last Mrs. Parrish) and highly recommend it!
In this gripping sequel, lovable character Daphne returns as well as despicable characters Amber and Jackson. We are not entirely sure about new character Daisy Ann as this book has lots of twists and "oh, I didn't see that coming" moments, all of which makes for a great read.
Thanks to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group for an ARC of this book.

Lies. Betrayal. Murder. Revenge
Daphne thought she had escaped her abusive husband when he fell for and married con-artist Amber but once he sees through her fake facade and is released from prison, he becomes obsessed with getting Daphne and his children back to complete his “perfect family”. Amber’s past comes back to haunt her with the addition of new character Daisy Ann who adds a new layer of complexity into the mix.
This was a good beach read but lacked the suspense and shocking twists of The Last Mrs. Parrish, which I absolutely loved. For fans of the first book, I do think that the story tied up nicely at the end of this one. A solid read.
Get your beach bag ready! The Last Mrs.Parrish was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me with The Next Mrs. Parrish coming in at ⭐️⭐️⭐️. I have not read The First Shot but heard it gives good background for The Next Mrs. Parrish. Thanks to @netgalley and @randomhouse for the e-arc in exchange for my honest review. 🌴Have you read any of the books in this series?🌴 #thelastmrsparrish #thenextmrsparrish #bookstagram #beachread #livconstantine #booksbooksbooks #revengebooks #thrillerbooks #thrillerbookslover

Thriller sequels are HARD, and yet Liv Constantine absolutely nailed it.
It’s no secret that The Last Mrs. Parrish is one of my all-time thrillers. I own multiple copies and recommend it to anyone who needs a twisty thriller in their life. So when I found out there was going to be a sequel, I WAS READY.
But then the prequel came out, One Last Shot, which gives a bit more background to Amber’s story—and let me just say, you really should read this novella before diving into the sequel, since it’ll give you far more context to understand what’s going on as Amber fights to keep her world as perfect as she has always wanted it to be.
I loved revisiting Daphne in this story. I loved seeing the life she was able to build for herself and her kids, but I HATED watching what happened. Mind you, I was completely hooked on this story and I could not put it down for work or even sleep, BUT I most definitely found myself hating all of humanity for the duration of the novel until the end.
And let’s talk about that ending, shall we??? Because I think there was room left for a potentially third book? Could this happen? Is it in the works? Because I, for one, would absolutely love it.
We also got a new perspective in this one: Daisy Ann. I think one of my favorite things about how Liv Constantine writes is how everything is pieced together so well. The backstory, the present timeline, and even the future plans…everything is seamless while mixed in with absolute horror.
If you love a twisty thriller that makes you question if the terrible people will actually get away with it all, or want a chance to completely question humanity and all that is good, please—PLEASE—pick up this book.

The Next Mrs. Parrish is a sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine. This book finds Daphne living in California with her 2 daughters, her ex-husband Jackson Parrish in prison for tax evasion and his new wife Amber and their young son living in the mansion. Daphne likes being far away from the man that framed her and had her locked in an asylum with lies he told. Being divorced from that man is the best thing to ever happen to Daphne. Unfortunately, her daughters don't understand what went on and they miss their father. They know he's due to be released from prison and they want to see him. After much thought on the topic, Daphne decides to go back to Bishops Harbor for the summer so that the girls can visit their father. She rents a nice house with a pool and decides to go back.
Jackson and Amber's marriage is just for show now. Amber wants out of the marriage and they sleep in separate bedrooms. She's glad that Jackson is getting out of prison because she wants to know how they're going to live. All of his assets were taken when he was sent to prison. Amber is as devious as ever and has a plan on how to get the lifestyle she wants, away from Jackson. The daughter of Amber's ex-husband believes that Amber killed her father. Daisy Ann is doing her best to find proof that Amber's story of an accidental shooting while hunting is a lie. Daisy Ann's father was killed when Amber shot him while hunting. There was no proof that she did it on purpose so no charges were brought against Amber. Everyone was very suspicious, however, especially Daisy Ann.
When Daphne is at the rental house with the girls swimming in the pool, Jackson drops by unannounced. The girls are thrilled to see him, but he was supposed to call and set up a time to come over. He claims he couldn't wait to see them and had good intentions. Jackson never does anything with good intentions, especially around Daphne. He tells Daphne he's changed and wants all of them back in his life. Daphne finds this hard to believe. Daphne has full custody of the girls and Jackson can only visit with them while Daphne is around. Did the time in prison really give Jackson time to figure out his priorities? Does he really want to be a good father to the girls? Are he and Amber really getting a divorce? Why does Jackson seem to think he can get Daphne back? What does he have planned?
This book will have you cringing throughout at what goes on. Jackson and Amber are easy to dislike while Daphne and Daisy Ann are easy to like. Will it stay that way throughout? Will Jackson find a way to get Daphne back in his home with the 2 girls? Will the girls be safe? This book sets you on edge throughout and the suspense builds to an exciting ending. I rate The Next Mrs. Parrish 4 stars with a high recommendation. I'd like to thank NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group/Ballantine for an advanced copy of The Next Mrs. Parrish in exchange for a fair review. The book is available now and should not be missed if you like a good thriller! #TheNextMrsParrish

3.5 ⭐️
This final installment is a story of everyone trying to get revenge on those they feel did them wrong. Daphne, Amber, and Jackson are all back, in addition to their children. The sociopathy is still running rampant. This one felt less like a psychological *thriller* and more just like psychological fiction. We also have Daisy Ann who we met in the prequel. I adored this character. She was so entertaining and took no shit from anyone. By far the best character in the lineup. I was not really loving this book throughout, to be honest, because it just felt like the bad guys continuing to be awful, and this time we see much more of the impact on the children. But the ending wrapped up in such a satisfying way that it elevated it for me!

I was SO excited to be selected for an ARC for the sequel to an awesome novel, The Last Mrs. Parrish. So first and foremost, thank you to NetGalley, Random House Publishers, and Liv Constantine for the opportunity to read this before it hit the shelves.
We’re back to Bishop’s Harbor for the summer with Daphne, Jackson, & the kids. After Jackson is released from prison, he and Amber each launch a plan to exact revenge on their desired person. Amber has a vendetta (like always), and Jackson falls right back into his sociopathic ways.
We are introduced to a new character, Daisy Ann, who has ties to Amber’s past. Liv Constantine finds a way to tie Daisy Ann in with the original cast of characters well and we see how each of the psychopaths’ plans pan out.
I must say, I was very excited for this novel, but was underwhelmed. I felt the story just got out of hand and was a bit too far fetched. I know some people like completely unrealistic scenarios in books because it’s meant to be a story, but it isn’t my favorite. I tend to be put off by more outlandish storylines. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE a good twist, but I need the story to be realistic. I felt that this one was just a bit too out there for me, unfortunately. I did enjoy it, but wasn’t as taken by it as the first one. I think the story should have ended there. It was more satisfying to me.
All that aside, Liv Constantine is a fantastic writer and I look forward to reading more of her work. Thanks again for the opportunity to review this in advance!

I thoroughly enjoyed the first two Mrs. Parrish books. This third book, however, does not hit the same mark. It is good and entertaining. It just didn’t seem to hold my attention like the others. Perhaps it was because there were so many storylines being woven together than they became confusing.
I enjoyed the writing and felt that the book was definitely worth reading. All Mrs. Parrish’s are back in the third book in this series. The tension and wickedness of some of the characters remains throughout. It is so fun to despise a few.
This book is a must for those having already begun the series. Although, it could stand alone, I would recommend starting from the beginning to really understand the different characters.
I received an ARC from Random House Publishing – Ballantine through NetGalley. This in no way affects my opinion or rating of this book. I am voluntarily submitting this review and am under no obligation to do so.

I enjoyed this book and it had some great twists. I wish however that I could have read this one closer to when I read the first one. I forgot a lot of the first book.

What a fun thriller! This was a great cat and mouse chase throughout the book following 3 different POVs. I was rooting so hard for Daphne, it was hard to read some parts because it was getting intense! I loved following Daphne, Amber, and Daisy Ann's lives and seeing it all come together in the end. I hope there will be another one in this series. I want more!! Recommended for lovers of psychological thrillers. Liv Constantine did not disappoint with this one!

MUCH better than the first book!
A much faster pace and to me, a much better continuation of the story!
Shout out to NetGalley for the ARC even though I didn’t finish it until after publication day!

Have to admit, this was not my favorite by this Author. I think a lot of it had to do with so many unlikable characters. Since this is a part two, this one does give you the opportunity to see where things went for everyone after the shocking twists at the end of the first book. (If you didn’t read the first one, I highly recommend reading that one first to get a better understanding of why everyone acts the way they do!) Even though I did not love this one, I do still enjoy the authors work so I will be back for more. One plus is that in the end, everyone gets exactly what they deserve at the end of this second novel in the lives of Jackson, Daphne and Amber.

This is the second book in a series. I think you could read this book without reading the first, but I wouldn't suggest it. There are lots of references to things that happened in the first book that will make this second book in the series so much better if you've read the first.
I found the first few chapters of this book a little slow as I tried to remember the plot from the first book and the author tries to bring new readers up to speed. After that though I could hardly put this book down and looked forward to breaks when I could read more!
I love the short chapters following the main characters and how the story bounces back and forth. I didn't see the ending coming, but I loved how the authors wrapped up the story.

Fans of The Last Mrs. Parrish will certainly be pleased with this sequel! Yet again, Liv Constantine keeps readers on the edge of their seats. This was a quick paced, suspenseful novel. I loved the quick, short chapters, and multiple POVs. I also loved the addition of a few new characters. Daisy Ann was a badass! The ending was amazing, especially Jackson’s fate!
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for this Advance Readers Copy (ARC) to honestly review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I read The Last Mrs Parrish during the pandemic, so imagine my surprise when I saw that the author sister duo behind the pen name, Liv Constantine, had a sequel coming out this year!
My biggest concern heading into this book was that a long time had passed and while I still remembered some of the plot, I certainly did not remember every single detail. That being said, this sequel could almost be read as a standalone (although I highly recommend reading the first one because it is BEYOND worth it).
What I did remember, was how awful and perfectly suited for each other Amber and Jackson were! And fear not, they come back worse than ever! Talk about the absolute worst human beings ever, I don't think I've ever despised characters more.
Similarly to the first book, the sequel is very entertaining and will keep you on your toes at all times. This one felt slightly more predictable (although that could also be attributed to the fact I've been reading a lot more than I did then), however the twist and turns will still have you holding your breath, gasping for air, and machivecal laugh that will have you question your morals (what comes around goes around, what can I say?)
While a sequel wasn't necessary, it was not only appreciated but did such an excellent job at closing the loop on everything, the perfect closure for such a great story.

For most sequels you need to read the first book to understand what is happening. In the Next Mrs. Parrish, there is a lot of recap to the point where there isn't a lot of value in having read the original unless you want more of the characters' back stories or liked the characters. Overall, this is a quick read that can be a little dark at times (especially the final twists). I am not sure this book needed a sequel. The characters are not super likeable, the children are annoying, and it felt repetitive. It was a good beach/lakeside read but not as memorable as the original.

Going to read the first one before I give this a fair review but overal had a good storyline! It was a fast paced read that had surprise after surprise. If you’re into thrillers, you’d definitely like this one

I was so excited to read this book after loving The Last Mrs Parrish but unfortunately, this one did not hit like I was expecting it to. The dialogue in this one was unrealistic to me and hard to read. I wish I'd just let the original book be and not read this one.

As a massive fan of the Last Mrs Parrish, I was super excited to get my hands on this story in the excitement of revisiting the compelling and clever story. While I like the OG book better, this was a fun ride that kept me flipping pages to find out how it was going to end.
The evil Amber and Jackson are back, Amber still obsessing about people with money treating her like trash and Jackson, despite being in prison, managing to stay one step ahead of everyone.
Daphne, the first Mrs Parrish, has to sacrifice everything to get custody of her two daughters back after Jackson gets released and betrays her, yet again. Daphne will do anything and everything to get her girls back from the despicable Jackson, even if it means pretending not to find him vile.
Then there is a new character, Daisy Ann, who is seeking revenge on Amber for the “accidental “ death of her father. All of the lives collide into a whirlwind of chaos of which none of them will come out unscathed.
While there isn’t a lot of super intense thrills, there is a lot of suspense and wheeling and dealing and plotting against one another by a bunch of unlikeable people.
If you like soapy, trashy tv, you’re going to love this story!
Thanks to Bantam and NetGalley for this eArc in exchange for my review.
