This is rare for me: the sequel was better than the first! While I still really liked "The Last Mrs. Parrish," this one went to the next level with the turns, the betrayal, the deceit!

We get reunited with Daphne and Amber, while meeting Daisy Ann. Daphne has moved to California with her daughters in the wake of her divorce and freedom from Jackson. Amber is adjusting to having Jackson in prison and having to live beneath her wants. Daisy Ann is the seemingly boring housewife who just wants retribution for a death that was ruled an accident. When Daphne's children are determined to go back to Connecticut to see their dad, Daphne knows that she has to play with fire in order to protect those she loves, but is she any match for the likes of Jackson and Amber? What about newcomer, Daisy Ann?

I was definitely guessing on this book from beginning to end.
My BIGGEST frustration and why this is probably more of a 4.5 star read for me is that we go back and forth between 1st and 3rd POV. Amber and Daisy Ann tell our story from 3rd person while Daphne is a 1st person. It definitely kept throwing me for a loop.
The "me against the world' attitude from Amber actually made me want to root for her, even with how evil she was proven in the first book. I love a good underdog story so the fact that she was so determined to do get revenge was one of my favorite character point.
I didn't really feel like Daisy Ann added much to the book, but her storyline gave for some great drama and plot twists!
There were minor things that kept popping up throughout the book (I'm pretty sure I wrote IDIOT beside Daphne's name about 20 times), but I thoroughly enjoyed the story, so it didn't bother me that much.
The ending definitely came out of nowhere, but made room for another book, maybe? I hope we get to see these characters again!
Thank you to Random House Publishing Group - Ballentine and Netgalley for an eARC of this book! All opinions are my own!

This was one of my most anticipated reads this year! I loved the first book so much and I was wondering if the second book would live up to the hype. I’m glad to say that it did! Every bit of this story was thrilling and entertaining! Amber is the type of character you love to hate and that husband you just want to toss him! Another hit for Liv Constantine!

I wasn’t expecting a sequel to the first book at all and went into this one tentatively. I was surprised! This picked up in a great spot after the first book, following the characters Jackson, Amber, and Daphne and where they are now.
The glimpse into Amber’s past, a peek into Daphne’s present made for an amazing plot.
As a reader, I continued to feel for Daphne, get angry with Jackson and Amber, and want to wrap my arms around the kids.
This sequel was fabulous!

Amber and Daphne return in the sequel to The Last Mrs Parrish. I wasn't sure if I really wanted to tackle another Parrish book since I wasn't happy with the ending of the first book, but I took the chance. And i must say i thoroughly enjoyed myself. The book was an easy and quick read, a great way to spend a weekend. There were some twists, one in particular that made me utter some not so nice cuss words 🤬, and some of the characters were still miserable. It was actually kind of hard to root for anyone in this story. But in this instance, it works.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for an opportunity to read and review honestly an advanced digital copy

"The Next Mrs. Parrish" delivers a thrilling sequel that lives up to the suspense and drama of "The Last Mrs. Parrish." Let me just say, "IT DID NOT DISSAPOINT!" While it can be read as a stand-alone, diving into "The Last Mrs. Parrish" first enriches the experience, providing context and deepening the appreciation for Amber's return with all her despicably intriguing antics. Married to Jackson Parrish and now a mother to Jax—poor kid—Amber remains a character I love to loathe, her manipulative charm and cunning ways are unmatched.

Daphne, the former Mrs. Parrish returns to town after trying to move on from her past, adding more complex drama to the story. The introduction of a new character, Daisy Ann, proves to be a brilliant addition, weaving her story seamlessly into the web of deceit and ambition. All of the characters' lives intertwine, unfolding in a jaw-dropping sequence of events that kept me glued to the pages. The novel brims with secrets, lies, and plot twists that escalate the tension with each chapter. Just when you think you have it figured out, a new revelation turns everything upside down. The ending is nothing short of spectacular and left me reeling, picking my jaw up off the floor. It's the kind of conclusion that demands a moment to catch your breath and reflect on the rollercoaster ride of emotions.

Overall, "The Next Mrs. Parrish" earns a solid 4-star rating from me. It's a gripping tale of ambition, betrayal, and revenge, perfectly suited for anyone who enjoys a psychological thriller. Grab a glass of wine and prepare to binge-read this exhilarating sequel—you won't regret it.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC copy. This was such an interesting sequel to The Last Mrs Parrish. I wanted to get through it as quickly as possible because it was so good I couldn’t wait to piece it together. Without too many spoilers - I was irrationally angry with how obtuse Daphne could be at times and saw some things with regards to her story line predictable. Amber also rejoins us in this sequel and is just as terrible as ever. My favorite character though was Daisy Ann and I loved how the characters came together at the end.

ARC Review⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The follow up book to The Last Mrs. Parrish and it didn’t disappoint at all! I enjoyed it so much. The first one was just so good and I don’t know if you can ever beat that, but this was a very good second. It was full of twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. Jackson and Amber are the worst! Jackson easily makes it in my top 3 characters I despise and Amber, well I just love to hate Amber. Her character is horrible, but in a good way. I better not forget to mention the ending… it was very satisfying.

I loved the first book in this series - the Last Mrs Parrish, and this one did not disappoint in continuing Daphne, Jackson, and Amber’s crazy stories.

I won’t get into details in case you haven’t read the first. These character’s conniving, gaslighting, manipulative personalities are out in full force in this book — you’ll probably hate 80% of the characters if we are being honest, but you have to keep reading to see just how awful they really are and if somebody (plz anybody) will take them down a notch (or 50).

Overall, a great quick paced thriller - would be a fantastic beach/poolside read!

Thank you so much to the publisher (Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine | Bantam), NetGalley, and Liv Constantine for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review!

Book 2 of the Mrs. Parrish series begins with Jackson behind bars for tax evasion while his lovely (cough cough) wife Amber is dutifully at home with their son Jax burning through their savings at rapid speed. Amber makes plans to leave their son Jax behind and run away before Jackson gets released, but a ghost from her past has cropped up and thrown a wrench in everything. Daphne was very content living in California with her two daughters, far away from Jackson but Tallulah misses her father and has been in contact with him through Amber. They have been feeding her a bunch of lies about why she can't see her father and why the family split up, among other things, and the pre-teen chasm between mother & daughter has grown even wider with Daphne having no idea why Tallulah is so angry with her. Daisy Ann's father was killed in a hunting "accident" years ago when he went out hunting with his new wife and she "accidentally shot him. Daisy Ann made sure she didn't inherit all that she thought she would, but she is still bent on proving that it was murder. These three women's lives will intertwine as you try to figure out who is friend and who is foe..... and who is playing who?

I will be honest. I read the first book and loved it but I really don't remember these characters at all so I had to go into it like it was a standalone. Amber and Jackson were both despicable and quite frankly evil. Daphne and Daisy Ann were both the antithesis of them. There were so many plot twists it made my head spin. If you enjoy twisty psychological thrillers then this one is perfect for you!

Wow, wow, wow. Okay, I read this book SO FAST. I could not get enough.
There were moments that made me go WTF ARE YOU DOING to several characters but I looooved this.

Out now! Thank you Random House Bantam for the copy to read and review!

I don't even know where to start with this. I wanted to scream and cry and cheer while reading this. Jackson and Amber are back and as sociopathic as ever in book 2 of the Mrs. Parrish series. You technically could read this as a standalone as there is backstory provided in the beginning of this but just do yourself a favor and start with The Last Mrs. Parrish. THEN do yourself another favor and read The First Shot because it gives the backstory as to who the hell Daisy Ann is and why she's a part of this story (when I saw her name come up around chapter 5 or 6 [Idk, I can't find my note from where she first enters the story] I was beyond excited).

I was rooting so hard for Daphne when this started. By the middle I was screaming at her to be smart. I don't have kids but I can understand the plot device of her being a mother and doing ANYthing for her kids. She kept saying "I don't believe a word Jackson says/ I don't think he's actually changed" then lets herself and her daughters back into his orbit. Yikes, sister. (again, I DO understand the reasoning and I mean, it's fiction, it has to be driven forward somehow).

I was also rooting for Daisy Ann. Amber royally f***ed up her life and she is here for revenge.

As the story progresses I was so unsure who was working with who behind who else's back. It got convoluted for sure. But when this wraps up.....HOT DAMN is it explosive. So many ups and downs throughout this book. I cannot express how much this had me on the edge of my seat and all up in my feels. The twists were twisting so hard and the thrill had my heart racing. I will shout my love for this book forever more.
(side note: I have had The Last Mrs. Parrish on my bookshelf for THREE YEARS. WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO READ IT. We will never know.)

I'm all for an ending that is perfectly wrapped up and served to me with a pretty bow. When we get to the last chapter of this my blood was boiling but then.... well, it was certainly sufficient (lol). Would 100% recommend this if you love a tense story with not one but two sociopaths front and center.

🎉 Happy Pub Day! 🎉

Thank you Netgalley, Random House and Liv Constantine for the ARC of the sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish.

I questioned whether I would be able to finish this by pub day, but this was another fast paced read, so mission accomplished.

Book series can be hard in that I often find subsequent books to not be as good as the first. However, I think I liked this book more than the first!

I was glad to be able to read these books back to back. Although the authors did a good job of making sure the reader knew/remembered what happened in the first book, it was still nice to have a fresh knowledge of the characters.

To no surprise, many of the characters remain certifiable. We are also introduced to some new characters and several different storylines.

At first, I thought the narrators/plots would get confusing, but everything worked well together.

Will there be a 3rd book in the series? Only time will tell.

Really good! Quick read, engaging and good follow up from the first book. I would recommend it as a follow up book or a standalone. I appreciate the opportunity to read this book.

So, so good! I loved how this novel kept me intrigued the entire time! Although this is a sequel, I think this book could be read as a stand alone (although I also highly recommend reading The Last Mrs. Parrish because it's so good too! I read the first book four years ago and still had no problem following along. The author does a great job of making sure you are well aware of anything you need to know from book one without being redundant.

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group for this ARC.

The Last Mrs. Parrish is a thriller I always recommend and is one of my absolute favorite books. I think my hopes were just too high going into this one. I really enjoyed the overall plot of the book but felt like there were missed opportunities for characters to develop or do something shocking. There is a third woman, Daisy Ann, intertwined throughout and I enjoyed her part in things.

Amber remains as deceitful and manipulative as ever. I feel like she made me invested in the book, whereas Daphne really bothered me this time around. Daphne was such an intuitive character in the first book and I loved how she was always one step ahead of Jackson and Amber. I longed for that Daphne here, which made me knock this one down a star.

Thank you, Netgalley and Random House Publishing, for allowing me the opportunity to read this eARC. Let me start out by saying this is an incredible sequel. I would highly recommend reading the first book in order to understand everything going on. I really liked reading The Last Mrs. Parrish, and this book is just as good, if not even better. This sequel keeps you engaged and sticks to the point the whole time. Liv Constantine’s writing is so captivating and intriguing that it makes you want to read more. I overall really enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to others looking for a thriller mystery read. The twists and turns in this book are unexpected and unpredictable, which makes it a great read. 4.5/5 stars.

Daphne, Amber, and Jackson Parrish are back in this highly anticipated sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish. With Jackson being released from prison after his tax evasion charge, Amber is back to her scheming ways and to replenish her bank account. Daphne is far away from her ex-husband and his new wife with their two girls. But, when Daphne's daughter runs away from a school field trip to try to reconnect with her Dad; Daphne is forced to make a hard decision. Does she risk her relationship with her daughter by keeping her away from her Dad or does she agree to spend the summer back in Bishops Harbor?
One thing you can count on? The Parrish's are out for revenge and they will stop at nothing to get it.
Review:
I will start off by saying that I LOVED The Last Mrs. Parrish and I LOVED The Next Mrs. Parrish too! There is just something about these characters that pull you in. It is a dumpster fire that you simply cannot look away from! The backstabbing, the scheming, the gaslighting, the way that I hate these characters and want to yell at them for giving chances that shouldn't be given or for just being awful people! It is pure entertainment of rich people that use their power in corrupt ways and to control others. And although it is messy and none of it is ethical, you just simply cannot stop reading and wanting to know what they are going to come up with next. I really enjoyed my time reading this and am so sad that it is over. BUUUUTTT, The Next Mrs. Parrish is left open for maybe a third story?!?!?!?!? And, I absolutely would not be mad at that decision in the slightest!!!!
Please check your trigger warnings on the entire series. It does contain sensitive topics.
The Next Mrs. Parrish is out today, 6/18! Go pick up your copy, you won't want to miss this one!

First things first, I love the “Mrs. Parrish Series! I was completely obsessed with these books! In this highly anticipated sequel, the complicated dynamic between Daphne and Amber intensifies with the arrival of the enigmatic Daisy Ann, leading to a hellish game of Cat and Mouse. Liv Constantine’s writing truly engrosses you in the plot. I highly recommend this series!

I really liked The Last Mrs. Parrish so when I found out there was going to be a sequel, I had to have it.

This was a fun and soapy read, with plenty of manipulation, backstabbing, and revenge. Daphne, Amber, and Jackson are back, along with the addition of Daisy Ann, who was introduced in the prequel novella, The First Shot (a must read if you want more detail as to how she fits into the story).

Jackson was absolutely deplorable, but I found myself kind of wanting Amber to get away with whatever heinous plot she came up with. Daphne drove me crazy with her horrible decisions, especially since she should have known better than to let her guard down around Jackson.

Overall, I really liked the conclusion of the book and series, with each person getting the ending they deserved and then some. Karma really is a bitch.

While I thought The Last Mrs. Parrish was good- The Next Mrs. Parrish was not. The writing was flat, especially the dialogue. Some of the plot points or twists didn't even really make sense... they seemed like they came out of nowhere. I enjoyed Amber's terribleness though!
