Starting right where we left off, The Next Mrs. Parrish brings you back into the fascinating yet toxic world of Daphne and Jackson Parrish. This engaging novel was full of betrayal, deceit and revenge. There were many twists and turns, holding my attention throughout. Without giving anything away, I was definitely frustrated with a few decisions and mistakes some of the characters made but I loved the ending and how everything was resolved! If you enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish, I highly recommend you continue the story!

Summary: Amber Patterson Parrish has come a long way. Hard work and immaculate planning turned her from invisible wallflower to prominent socialite, though there have been bumps along the way. Less than a year after her husband Jackson’s tax-evasion scandal, Amber reigns supreme over the Bishops Harbor community. But with Jackson being released from prison, Amber’s free time—and money—is vanishing.

Meanwhile, Daphne Parrish left Bishops Harbor after her divorce from Jackson, swearing she would never go back. But when one of her daughters runs away from home, desperate to see her father, Daphne agrees to return for the summer for their daughters’ sake. Jackson swears he’s a changed man, but Daphne knows all too well that he can’t be trusted.

When a ghost from Amber’s past emerges looking for revenge, these three figures find unlikely allies in one another. But who is playing who? When all is said and done, they’ll have to fight tooth and nail for everything they have left in this zero-sum game.

My thoughts: Is this entire series ridiculous ? Yes. Do I love them with my whole heart? Also yes. Everything these ladies write I just adore (except Senators Wife that was a snooze fest). These book are such a delight and this one is no exception. I love a good Daphne redemption story and seeing our wild Amber again was just the best. Everyone gets what they deserve in those book and I just love every single minute of it! special thanks for @bantambooksuk for the advanced copy 😍this beauty releases today so grab it where books are sold!

Similar to the first book (The Last Mrs. Parrish), this sequel is filled with characters that you love to hate, toxic environments, mind games, lies and deception. While I admit that I favored the first book over this one, it was still just as much of a fun, wild ride. The outcome was also so satisfying and the book ended in a way where it’s possible the story can continue. Will there be a book 3!? 👀
Note that this can be read as a standalone, but I do recommend reading The Last Mrs. Parrish first for the full effect!

Thank you Bantam for a #gifted copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This book was even better than the first! Absolutely loved this book and loved the plot twists. I read 50% of it in one day - I could not put it down!
Amber and Jackson are still up to their old tricks but there are some new characters in this one that bring just as much mystery.
I loved how Daphne was a no BS woman now. You did get to see their children grow and deal with everything that happened with their dad.
There were parts that were so frustrating (in a good way because it's what makes the mystery so good).
If you loved The Last Mrs. Parrish, you will absolutely LOVE the sequel.

The Next Mrs. Parrish is the long-awaited sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish and I will say that it did not disappoint!

We pick up right when Jackson is being released from prison. Amber is still up to her old tricks only now her money is running low. Amber is living in California with her daughters and her mom. Tallulah, her daughter is in DC for a class trip when she leaves to take a train up to Connecticut to see her dad. She wants nothing more than to see him and she continues to lash out. Amber decides to go back to Bishop Harbor just for the summer so her daughters can have supervised visits with their father.

The story is told from many different points of view, from Amber and Daphne to a new character named Daisy Ann. This was a fantastic sequel that can be read as a standalone but I suggest reading them in order.

You will not want to put this book down! It is full of suspense, twists and turns, and a great ending!

Daphne and Amber are back in the sequel to The Last. Mrs. Parrish! I absolutely loved the first book and was so excited to get an ARC of the sequel.

I wasn’t totally sure if a sequel was necessary or not, but once I saw that characters from The First Shot make an appearance in this book, I had high hopes. I didn’t want to put this down for the first 40%, but felt the pacing was off in the second half. I enjoyed the writing style and being back with these characters, but I found this predictable. Overall I’d give this 3.5 stars rounded down to 3, it was a fun time but not very memorable.

I loved this follow up to The Last Mrs. Parrish, which I read and thoroughly enjoyed a few years ago. From the first chapter, I was hooked and could not put it down. It was fun revisiting the characters from the first book, but also intrigued by the new characters introduced. Overall, it was twisty and entertaining and I liked how everything wrapped up in the end!

I was so excited when I found out there was a sequel for The Last Mrs Parrish. This book continues to follow Daphne and Amber with the addition of a new character Daisy Ann, who is brought into the story from Amber’s past. Going in I had no idea how the book was going to go, but found myself eager to keep reading and enjoying all of the twists and turns. The ending was very satisfying and I really enjoyed this one overall!

After reading the prequel and The Last Mrs. Parrish I wondered what more could actually be told about these characters heading for disaster. But I think this was actually my favorite of the three. I usually must like at least one person, even just a little bit, for a story to truly capture my interest and attention, but these books are the exception.
The sister-authors wove a cautionary, albeit fictional, tale of paying attention to those red flags, not falling for everything and keeping your wits about you. They craft their tales with strong female protagonists working together to ultimately help each other, not tear each other down.
The antagonist...well, Mrs. Parrish seems doomed this time, but perhaps they've left room for yet another installment! Definitely a page-turner for the last third of the book...and it didn't disappoint.

Oh man do I just 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 to hate Amber. Oomph if I could stick my hand in this fictional world and slap her I surely would. She is like a train wreck you just can’t look away from.

I read The Last Mrs. Parrish in 2017 and gave it four stars. But I still remember the plot and for the amount of books I read that’s quite impressive. This book starts with a little refresher of the first book, seamlessly bringing you right back into the crazy and devious world of the Parrish’s.

The Next Mrs. Parrish is an addictive and page flipping read. The cover is fantastic, the characters are abhorrent, and the plot keeps you on the edge of your seat. Overall the perfect five star read!

Thank you to Netgalley, Random House Publishing, and the author for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

The Next Mrs. Parrish is set a few years ago the events of The Last Mrs. Parrish. There are plenty of reminders about the events of Last, which I always appreciate in sequels. (SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THE LAST MRS. PARRISH) Daphne returns with her daughters to Bishops Harbor for the summer after her eldest child attempts to run away to see her father. Jackson has just been released from prison and is determined to put his family back together through whatever means necessary.
The story is told primarily from three perspectives- Daphne, Amber, and Daisy Ann, a new-to-us character who owns a high-end jewelry company.

While I didn’t feel the need for a sequel after reading Last, I did enjoy the story. The pace picks up about a third of the way into the book and after that I couldn’t put it down. The plot wasn’t quite as tight as I would have liked (for example, Amber’s meticulous research is a core personality trait, yet she doesn’t look up the company of the jewelry trunk show she is attending?) but it had plenty of action and quite a few smaller twists that kept me guessing.

I was frustrated with Daphne in this book- she knows what Jackson is capable of, and yet still falls for so many of his tricks. Her perspective was told in first person, in contrast to Amber’s told in third person, and I think for me this added to my perception of Daphne being very naive. The perspectives and points of view changing nearly every chapter was a little jarring as well. I also felt that Daisy Ann’s chapters dragged a bit- we get a lot of insight into her home life and while we do need some to understand her motivations, there was more than we needed and it brought down the pace.

Overall I did enjoy this book- definitely not a five-star thriller, but it held my attention and had a satisfying ending and gives a lot of closure for Daphne.

I've been anxiously awaiting the release of this sequel and was so excited when I was approved for an ARC through the publisher. I'm not sure who is more conniving between Jackson and Amber and this book does not disappoint while each of them try to out whit each other. Truly enjoyed watching Daphne thrive and teach her daughters to be strong and confident. The ending was perfect and closed all the circles and stories that kept me on my toes the whole time!

The Last Mrs. Parrish was on my TBR for forever, so I was really happy when I found out I was able to get a copy of the sequel to push me to read the first one. The first one kept me wanting to know what happened. In my onion in The Last Mrs. Parrish, there was no huge twist like in some thrillers, but in The Next Mrs. Parrish it had a little bit more building to a bigger plot twist. This was a bit more gripping and sucked me in more. I enjoyed the story line (still hate Jackson) and the multiple points of view. I also liked the new character Daisy Ann.
2.5 out of 5

I wasn't the biggest fan of The Last Mrs. Parrish, so I went into this one with pretty low expectations. I ended up being thoroughly surprised. In my opinion, this book lacked the predictability of the first one. I wouldn't say that anything ground breaking occurred or that I was ever truly shocked, but I was just along for the ride and having fun. I think this was a really good conclusion to the storyline that brought everyone some closure.

Having loved the first in the series I have been eagerly awaiting the next Mrs. Parrish release. This book does a good job of refreshing your memory and catching you up since reading the first book years ago. I love that many of the characters continue on from the first while introducing a few new ones.
This was a great read from beginning to end.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book and advance of publication.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine | Bantam for the free e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I loved the first book in this series, The Last Mrs Parrish and this sequel does not disappoint! I think you should be able to read this one as a standalone if you choose as the story quickly and efficiently catches you up. I love that the same characters are present and a few of the fringe characters such as Lucy are well developed and used more in this second installment. Plus a new one, Amber's nemesis!

This is such a well written domestic thriller that is twisty, suspenseful, and a real nail biter of a read! There is a complex cat and mouse game that has double crossing between the ladies, all of which is beautifully done. I highly recommend this exciting, domestic, cat and mouse sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish!

After having read the first in the series years ago, I was excited to see another installment. I was immediately curious to see what the characters were up to now.

While I enjoyed the diabolical madness of Amber, and Jackson, I found myself quite annoyed with some of the other characters. My favorite character was Daisy Ann, in which I will leave it at that to not give away any spoilers.

Also, the title didn't make sense for me, but again not wanting to give any spoilers.

I had some issues with some of the geographical parts of the book that didn't make sense, as well as the stock purchase parts. I know this is fiction, but I wished some of those things were a bit more researched, and realistic.

For fans of the first book, you may really enjoy this one. It fell sort of flat for me, and I continued reading only because it was an ARC.

Overall rating: 2.5

Great thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC!

This newest installment of the Amber, Jackson, and Daphne show was equally as good as the first book and that’s saying a lot because it’s legit the only book I’ve ever read in one day. I think Liv Constantine can write one heck of a villain (or two!) that you just love to hate and you hope for some karmic justice to find its way to them. The fact that it did and in such great ways was highly satisfying and I finished with a happy sigh! Thanks so much for the opportunity to review this own!

It was so fun getting back into the world of the Parrishes. Jackson and Amber are as wicked as ever. I loved watching them try to outmaneuver each other as they pulled Daphne back into their orbit. We also get a look into the backstory of Daphne and Jackson and just how much she suffered during their marriage. Some new characters were introduced in this one and the Constantine duo does a wonderful job folding them into the plot. I highly recommend this one but make sure you start with The Last Mrs. Parrish!
