This was the perfect sequel to The Last Mrs Parrish! Be sure to read The First Shot before starting this book so that you are fully in the know of what is going on!! Wow.. What a wild ride this was! Addictive, and all so consuming, I couldn't put this book down. I feel like Jackson and Amber got what was deserved and I really don't think this is the end... eeek!! Cannot wait to see what's next!

Holy Toledo. I could not read this book fast enough. I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish and The First Shot, so as soon as this book was announced, I knew I had to read it.

Wowza. It is incredible how these brilliant women can create characters readers will loathe beyond measure. I loved how this story was told. The alternating narrators and the way the plot seemed chaotic but were intensely choreographed. Perfection.

This book captured everything necessary to continue this storyline. The twists and turns were bananas, and the way the plot started rolling into itself was delicious.

The writing, character development, and tangled plot were well done. I love how these sisters work together to bring a tale to life. This series has everything a thriller series should have. The twists and turns will give you whiplash.

Typically, I am not a lover of sequels but this hit the mark. It was just as enthralling as The Last Mrs. Parrish and the authors do an excellent job of weaving details back into the story. I was a bit worried I would have forgotten too much from the first but the transitions and information was seamless. The characters are rich and well developed and for the sequel a third woman enters the plot. I didn't want to put it down and that is forever my mark of a great book. Even towards the end I was shouting back, "but what about the.....?!!?!?" Fast paced, excellent sequel that felt as fresh as the first. Must read the first book as this is definitely not a stand alone. Enjoy.

I requested this book not knowing that it was a sequel but fortunately I had read the previous book and enjoyed it.

The "Next Mrs. Parrish" continues to follow the story of Jackson, Amber, Daphne, and a new character named Daisy Ann.
Jackson recently has been released from prison and is scheming to gain control of Daphne and their daughters. Amber is looking for a way to free herself of any restraints and start a new, opulent lifestyle. Daisy Ann's father was killed in an accident and she's trying to come to grips with his loss.
Amber is the ultimate scheming, conniving b*tch. I truly hate this woman. It was interesting to see a bit of her back-story in this novel. Daphne isn't my favorite character but Jackson is so easy to dislike and that makes up for some of her character flaws. Some of the decisions Daphne makes annoyed me; I felt like she was a much stronger character in the first book.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. It would be an excellent beach read.

4.8/5, rounding up to 5 Stars!!! Thank you, NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group-Ballanteine/Bantam for this eARC of The Next Mrs. Parrish by Live Constantine.

I was so stoked when I got this approval to read this. I dropped everything to pleasantly endure this continuing story of Daphne and Amber. I have to admit, the first one was hands down my favorite and just...beautifully done. This book was still good, but it felt more like a justice book. It's like that saying "Karma is a bitch, and if you're lucky - God will let you watch." Haha, that's how I felt when reading this book. It was a nice "happy ending" for this series and everyone got what they deserved.

Very well done Liv, you did it again! I'm intrigued to hear the audiobook for this because I listed to the audiobook for the first book and it was perfection. I'll have to listen to the audiobook to see if I get the same effects.

I was very excited for this book because I really liked the first one. Like usually for me, the sequel is nowhere near as good as the first. Although this one was good. I felt it didn’t have as much of a thriller aspect. This book had 3 POVs, our original 2 and a new one from Amber’s past. Here is where we learn a bit more about amber and just how awful she is.

Thanks to NetGalley, Random House Publishing, and the authors for this ARC in exchange for my review.

Daphne thought she finally escaped her abusive husband Jackson after years of abuse. Safe with her mom and her girls in California everything is starting to go great except her oldest daughter only wants to be with her dad. While on a school trip she tries to run away to see him. Knowing she has to try to help repair the relationship with her oldest she takes the girls back to Bar Harbor once her ex-husband gets released from jail. What happens next is a wild ride of trickery and lies.

I loved this book, probably even more than the first one. I loved how clever everything was and the way it ended was just amazing! Thank you to Netgalley and to the publishers for allowing me to read this advanced copy.

Thank you Random House for the free digital ARC!

The long anticipated sequel to the highly addictive "The Last Mrs. Parrish" (2017) is finally here. The cast of unlikeable characters returns and we alternate perspectives between Daphne, Amber, and Daisy Ann -- a new character and another card-carrying member of the elite upper 1%.

Jackson is almost out of prison for his white-collar crimes and trying to win back ex-wife Daphne, who is trying to protect their kids, and Amber is....well Amber remains the ever scheming sociopath. It's unclear which detestable character you'll love to hate most in this game of 4-way cat-and-mouse blackmail double cross.

Did this live up to the first book? In this reader's opinion, it did not. However, it was still a fun time and would be a great book to to read poolside or bring to the beach. I read this cover to cover in just a few days. Give it a look, coming out in less than two weeks!

The sequel to the The Last Mrs Parrish is called The Next Mrs Parrish. We meet two old favorites Amber and Daphne and we are introduced to Daisy Ann. Daphne and her daughters are trying to move on with their lives but Daphne's daughter is desperate to see her father. Daisy Ann is trying to get justice for her late father who was married to Amber. We get to see their stories intertwined and hope that justice will prevail.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Random House Publishing for the advanced reader copy. Publishing date is June 18, 2024.

I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish and I couldn't wait to find out what would happen next in the world of Bishops Harbor. Jackson Parrish is an even worse person (truly horrible) and it was interesting to see what was next with him and Amber as well as Daphne with her new life. This book is just as dark, twisted, and messy as the first but I must say, a bit less suspenseful or shocking (which is to be expected). I really enjoyed catching up with the drama and being introduced to a new player in the dynamic of these characters. Daisy Ann was a nice addition to the cast. I think that readers of the series will enjoy following this next chapter as well. Thanks to Liv Constantine, Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine | Bantam, and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Daphne is free from her outwardly perfect husband, Jackson. But her older daughter is desperate to see her father again, so she agrees to go back to Bishops Harbor for the summer after Jackson is released from jail. She soon learns that maybe Jackson isn't as happy with his new wife as she'd hoped....
Amber has learned how terrible Jackson is under the polish, and is plotting to get out.
Daisy Ann is convinced that her dad's hunting accidental death wasn't so accidental and she's determined to prove his wife did it.

This book is definitely a great sequel to The Last Mrs Parrish! Jackson is someone even worse than he was in the first book, and I'll admit I had a really hard time with how evil he was not only to Amber, but to Daphne, as well. Just so much abuse heaped on almost everyone in his life, and you just want him to fall off a cliff or end up in a boat motor. He made my skin crawl at times when I read. We also get to see more of Amber's true colors, as well, and there was honestly almost too much evil wrapped up in these two people to be stuffed into one book. I almost needed either to the focus to be Jackson's awful or Amber's awful, not both.
Daisy Ann's character was also a bit wooden, only there to be motivated by revenge. She was not my favorite, and I think she suffered a bit being introduced in the second book, lacking the time to be developed properly before embarking on the SS Revenge.

If you liked The Last Mrs Parrish, you'll definitely want to meet The Next Mrs Parrish.

Before you dive into The Next Mrs. Parrish I would highly recommend you read The Last Mrs. Parrish and The First Shot. While you can enjoy The Next Mrs. Parrish without reading these prior two tales, I enjoyed this latest twisted tale more after knowing a bit more of the backstory. The writing team that is Liv Constantine takes readers back to Bishops Harbor in this next installment, and back to some characters I have come to feel strongly about. While I don't want to give away any spoilers for readers, I enjoyed seeing where this book was taking me, and the addition of the character Daisy Ann. I also enjoyed watching that plot line interweave into the Daphne, Amber, Jackson drama that readers have come to expect. If you are looking for an easy to pick up and stick with book this summer, and you enjoy characters with rich backstories, I think you will enjoy this ride. Thank you to NetGalley and Random House for this advanced copy, all opinions are my own.

This sequel to one of my favorite thrillers was definitely worth the read. I was happy to be back with all the Mrs. Parrishs and enjoyed the new twists and thrills.

The author does a good job keeping you on the edge of your seat and has a way of writing villains that definitely boils your blood!

If you’re looking for a fast paced thriller, this is definitely the book for you!

THE NEXT MRS. PARRISH is the summer sequel I didn't know I needed. This was a quick and breezy read that will be perfect to pick up by the pool. The story isn't jaw-dropping in the way the original Mrs. Parrish is, but that is truly a big shoe to fill as the first story set a precedent for thrillers with its big twist. This was a quick and juicy book that many readers will enjoy this summer!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for an electronic ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I had a great time with this book! The drama, the characters, and the foreboding were all done so well!

The ending couldn't have been better. While The Last Mrs. Parrish was a five-star, the sequel was worth the read!!

Thank you, publisher and NetGalley for the digital ARC.

Just as twisty and addicting as the first book!
I highly recommend reading the novella prequel “The Last Shot” as there are some things in this book that won’t make sense otherwise. Even though many of the main characters are unlikeable, I feel sad that the story ends here…..or does it?

I just finished and it’s hard to give an overall summary because I’m just floored. This was even better than the first one! And that’s saying a lot because I feel the first was a GameChanger within the genre. It was a true standout; a rarity in a saturated market with only a few other titles that everyone who enjoys thrillers should read and will likely love.

Somehow, this book topped it! The story is just so well fleshed out. We get a first person narrative from Daphne, the original Mrs. Parrish. Then tellings of Jackson’s perspectives and moves as well as Ambers and Daisy Ann (from First shot, the prequel novella). It also ties in the children and a few key friends and associates who really propel the story. Each character has a unique voice and view-there’s zero confusion about that. That’s often hard to accomplish in multiple perspective chapter books. They are all so conniving, too! Some for justice and others for more nefarious reasons. That lends itself to lots of twists, turns, betrayal, tricks, surprises-you name it. At one point, while reading alone in the beach, I audibly gasped “no!” And brought my hand to my mouth. To my relief, the next chapter set things straight and I calmed down again.

I recommend this book 100%. 5 stars. Epic.

I absolutely love The Last Mrs. parish. The story has stayed with me many years later!! Rhis sequel, The Next Mrs. Parish is a continuation of that last story. I loved how the story played out. There was a lot of twists and turns that kept me so engaged and constantly guessing where it was going. I was never successful- I did enjoy the thriller aspect and the way the story played out! Filled with crazy characters but they were so addicting. I could not put this book down. It’s a wild ride and I loved every bit of this book! Many thanks to Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine and NetGalley for the digital review copy of this novel. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this sequel.
I’m glad there was a sequel so we were able to see more justice prevail and more of the children’s understanding become complete.
This twisty thriller definitely kept me on my toes. It made me feel all the anger and angst with the characters. I wanted to yell at Daphne but as a mom was hurting for her kids as well. I loved hating on Amber and Jackson in this tale and seeing how they would evade trouble this time around.

I definitely had to go back and remind myself how The Last Mrs. Parrish ended, but once I was caught up, I absolutely devoured the sequel! Both Amber and Daphne are back with even more twists and turns. The authors also introduced another main character. At first, I didn’t know exactly how she would fit into the story line, but I actually enjoyed learning about her life and how it was infested with the madness that surrounds Mrs. Parrish.

I also really liked how the book ended. I think the authors could have gone a couple different directions, and I’m glad it ended how it did. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this book!
