Holy crap that was intense. I was anxious and eager for justice and let's just say it, some revenge for Daphne against Jackson. I felt the raw emotions that came with this story and was rooting for Daphne from the start, even when I questioned what she was doing at times. She's a survivor and has the best interest of her and her girls at heart and that shows through everything she does.

The twists that the twists take are perfect as always.

Thank you to Liv Constantine, NetGalley and Random House for allowing me to read and review an ARC of this story.

Amber. Daphne. Daisy Ann. And of course, Jackson. They're back, and what are they up to now? Jackson and Daphne are divorced and he has just gotten out of jail for tax evasion, and Amber is living her best life as a prominent socialite. However, Daphne's daughter runs away from home to be with her father, and Daphne reluctantly agrees to return to Bishops Harbor to let him have supervised visits. This highly awaited second book was twisty, propulsive. Highly recommend!

I try every time to give this author duo another shot, and each time, I am disappointed. This book was my final straw.

I absolutely loved the Last Mrs. Parrish and was delighted to get this ARC from #netgalley. It took me a bit to remember the story and the characters and felt like the author(s) could have given a bit more "back story" to get us caught up. That being said, the awful characters started back with their awful behaviors and I loved every minute of it. Even when you were sure that one of the schemes might not "work" there was another twist around the corner. The end was extremely satisfying. Really enjoyed this one!

I liked this book but I didn't love it. I think sometimes books don't need a sequel and this was one of those times.. I had a hard time getting into it and it was just a little over done.

This was such a good sequel! I thought we would center on the main characters from the last book, and we did, but we also had a new character introduced and she really spiced some things up 🤌🏻

Daisy Ann wants to get revenge on Amber. Amber wants to get revenge on Daisy Ann. Jackson wants to Daphne back under his controlling and abuse thumb. And Daphne just wants to keep her kids happy and safe.

Something I really liked about this book was that we get so many different POVs. It’s fun because everyone has a different motive and a different way to go about it, whether it be morally, illegally, vindictively, or abusively. There’s a lot going on but I don’t think anyone would have trouble keeping up.

Some of this book will have you annoyed, frustrated, and disgusted with the characters. But they are so well-written, it’s easy to keep wanting more. Also, I think the deeply unlikable characters (Amber and Jackson) are balanced out nicely with characters we can really root for (Daphne and Daisy Ann).

This book was wrapped up so well, I couldn’t have asked for a better ending. Every single character got the ending they deserved 👏🏻

Overall it was a 4.75 stars rounded up to 5 stars for me ⭐️

The bitch is back! Welcome Amber Parrish and Daphne back into your lives with this absolutely scintillating new installment of the "Mrs. Parrish's." Amber has the man, although he's in prison for tax evasion. Amber is, as always, self-serving and stealing all of Jackson's money. Daphne and the girls are in California, living their best life. On the suggestion of Daphne's therapist, she takes her daughters to visit Jackson for the mental health of her kids.
Jackson has come up with a plan to keep Amber in her beautiful bird cage of a life and he's looking to worm his way back into Daphne's life as well. It's gripping, well written and a guilty pleasure that checks all the boxes. I enjoyed it, if somewhat repetitive. Welcome these terrible people back into your summer plans.
3.5 stars.

3.5/5 ⭐️ rounded up

The Last Mrs. Parrish was such a great read and is one of the books I credit for getting me back into reading. I was so excited to hear about the sequel, The Next Mrs. Parrish! It was one of my most highly anticipated reads this year. With all of that being said, sometimes you can set the bar too high. Does anything ever live up to the original? Don’t get me wrong, it was still a great suspenseful read!

This book takes us back to Bishops Harbor full of the characters we love to hate as they continue to do despicable things. Told from multiple POV’s, this domestic thriller overall is a very fast paced read filled with twists that kept me glued to the pages to see what would happen next.

The writing duo that makes up Liv Constantine is an automatic must read for me and while I wasn’t blown away by this book I would for sure recommend it. It was fun to go back and see what Jackson and Amber would get themselves into next.

Thank you to Random House Publishing Group-Ballantine/Bantam and NetGalley for the digital ARC.

Whew. I liked the first Mrs. Parrish book mostly because of the twists and turns but this book was just basically about three women who as characters don't have a ton of redeeming qualities between them. Daphne is broken, Amber is a sociopath, and Daisy Ann is a caricature of a southern belle. I think the authors time would have been better spent in creating a new original story rather than revisiting this one.

Audio length ~ 12 hours THANK YOU @PRHAudio for the #Gifed audiobook of The Next Mrs. Parrish #PRHAudio Partner

After really enjoying the first book, I did not expect to have a second to look forward too! Do i remember much about the first book? No. But I do remember thinking it was shocking, twisty, and a great summer thriller that I always recommend.. May it have affected some details in regard to the second book? Maybe. But this was for the most part fun and entertaining and I'm so glad I read it. But to be honest, I don’t think a sequel was necessary overall.

So what did I enjoy?
The audio was really entertaining. I liked that there were multiple narrators and it made the listening experience more lively. It was easier to keep up with who was who. This was also really fast paced. I read this in 3 days. I needed to know what was going on and what was going to happen to each person. So overall, yes I was invested with the villain's. innocent bystanders. and our classic characters. Twisty, unreliable., dramatic, and even stressful. So if you think you know what is going on... you probably wont.

What could have been better?
Now lets talk about the characters... Were they my favorite? No. I don't think a single one of them had a living, breathing braincell as I could not understand how they were doing some things. It made me laugh more than anything. So I am neither #TeamAmber or #TeamDaphne lol terrible. This was also a bit cheesy but meh, I looked around that.

Add it to your 2024 summer beach reads!!! PLEASE CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS!! Reading about DV is never easy. Take care of you mental health.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bantam/Random House Publishing for the kindle ARC!

This book was a wild ride but so worth it! I enjoy Liv Constantine and her characters. In this cat-and-mouse thriller that takes you on a roller coaster ride of deception. With entertaining characters and twists in every chapter, you will be splendidly entertained until the last page. I finished wanting more. Live Constantine does not disappoint she makes it difficult to find another book to read after this masterpiece.

This sequel didn't do it for me. I was so excited to read it. I remember loving The Last Mrs. Parrish. I couldn't exactly remember everything, but that wasn't necessary to read this book.

My main problem with the book is that everything is very straightforward. The writing feels straight forward and very summary-like. The plot feels straightforward too. I wanted some more twists and turns. There was one that I was surprised by, but the rest felt very blah.

I really wanted to love this. I am truly bummed I didn't.

I read The Last Mrs. Parrish shortly after it came out and liked it so much I recommended it to multiple friends. I was excited to see a sequel was coming out (even though I couldn’t remember much about the original plot). I have very mixed feelings about this but it did keep me entertained and a lot of my issues with the book are probably more my own personal issues than issues with the writing itself. As someone who has been in an abusive marriage and had to fight relentlessly to limit my children’s contact with their father I had a REALLY hard time feeling any sympathy for Daphne after her decision to continue to communicate with a man who had already willingly signed away his parental rights. I also do not think in any way a therapist would recommend going to spend time with a narcissistic abuser because your teenager was acting out. Parts of the story genuinely made me feel ill and I had to take a lot of breaks because of how triggering the thought of becoming trapped by your abuser after escaping was. I enjoyed that there was a lot going on and so it wasn’t all about Jackson and his manipulation. Jackson and Amber found a worthy competitor and it was nice to see them floundering for control. The ending required some mental energy to figure out when everybody crossed paths but overall I was happy with how everything came together.

Wow!! I just finished reading the book and couldn’t wait to write this review. Let me start by saying you need to read the prequel “The First Shot” so this story makes more sense and all the details fall into place.
The Next Mrs. Parrish starts off a little slow but gets progressively better with many unexpected twists and turns, and the final is everything I was hoping for.
Overall this is a fantastic book and would recommend if you liked “The Last Mrs. Parrish.”

Thank you Random House Publishing Group, the author and Netgalley for an advanced copy of the book.

Amber is cunning and super confident, Daphne is trying to move on from her past, and Daisy Ann is on a mission to get justice for her late father. Their stories intertwine in the most unexpected and brilliant ways. The plot is so creative and binge-worthy that you won't be able to put it down.

The ending? Absolutely fantastic! Everything ties together perfectly, leaving you completely satisfied.

I received a free copy from NetGalley. This book can be read without reading the first book in the series. Three women and their plotting over a single summer.

The first book was good but this one is next level!!! All of the different storylines were perfectly crafted and tied together perfectly. I kind of think that there could be another book. The way this one ended could go so many different ways to continue the adventure.

This was a really entertaining read with so much tension and fast pacing. I did enjoy it but not quite as much as I’d hoped. I think most will love this one. I’m going to chalk it up to a me problem.

My thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

The highly anticipated sequel, The Next Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine is here! This will be that hot summer beach read you are looking for. Sometimes, your carefully built house of cards will come tumbling down when you are sloppy with the placement of the plans you’ve put in place. A slight of the hand, a lapse in judgement and it’s all destroyed before you can blink. Constantine revisits the Parrish family, Amber, Jackson, and ex-wife Daphne, after Jackson has returned home after serving time for tax evasion. What follows is a dynamic, twisted plot that has you wondering who is on what side and who is about to be blindsided. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group-Ballantine for the advanced copy. Opinions expressed are my own. This book will be published on June 17, 2024

4.50 ⭐️'s 📚NEARLY PERFECT 📚

I rarely enjoy a sequel more than the first book, but The Last Mrs. Parish is insanely good! Readers get an in-depth look into Amber and Jackson's despicable minds. Liv Constantine dialed up their crazy personalities, creating a mind-bending, twisty, and unpredictable plot. When I thought nothing else could POSSIBLY happen, the story would take another turn.

I was utterly obsessed with the book until the end. The final chapters aren't bad by any means—the conclusion was still pretty satisfying. It just fell flat compared to the amped-up roller coaster ride that was the first 90% of the book.

If you enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish, this new sequel is a ✨MUST READ✨. The story grips you and doesn't let go, making The Next Mrs. Parrish the perfect choice for a vacation or beach read.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an advanced copy. I absolutely loved this book!
