I remember when I first read The Last Mrs. Parrish. It was one of the first books in that psychological thriller genre I had read. I felt shocked by the twist, and it is one book I will always remember. Now I feel like there are many similar, but there is so one like the duo of Liv Constantine.

Thank you St Martin’s Press for this early eARC copy because this has been one of my most anticipated summer reads. I was excited to see where this sequel went, and honestly I wasn’t quite sure what to expect.

Overall I really enjoyed this one. We were back with Daphne and Amber, and get both their POV as well as a new character, Daisy Ann. But I guess I have watched too many crime shows, and read too many books, I kept wanting to shake Daphne and be like why are you not recording these phone conversations, why are you not writing this down, why are you not … to whatever was going on. There were so many of those missed moments, but I guess we needed the story right?!

I feel like this was a good ending for these three although I do feel like a door was left open so it makes me wonder if we will get another down the road.

Thank you Netgalley and St Martins for this early copy to read and review.

Are you #TeamAmber or #TeamDaphne? This gripping saga continues involving betrayal, deception, and vengeance. Who will win this treacherous game of getting even before their world crashes down around them? Who is the cat and who is the mouse in this twisted tale? This thriller is intense and hooked me immediately. The conclusion left me breathless with every shocking twist and turn. I was definitely on the edge of my seat during every nail-biting moment. Thank you, NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group for my copy.

Please give me a moment while I pick my jaw up off the floor.

Liv Constantine has brought us back to Bishops Harbor and into the life of the Pattersons. Amber Patterson is loathing the day her husband Jackson is released from prison and is planning her way out. Daphne Patterson has been living in California with her two daughters, finally free from her ex-husband, Jackson. And yet Daphne decides to.return to Bishops Harbor for the summer to allow her girls to see their father. Sounds like a recipe for disaster, right? There is drama galore, plenty of scheming, and twists that will make your head spin.

I highly recommend you read (or reread) The Last Mrs. Parrish along with the prequel, The First Shot. And then be sure to grab The Next Mrs. Parrish because it does not disappoint!

Thank you to NetGalley and publisher for a digital ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I thought this was decent! Honestly it's been so long since the first book came out that I forgot what happened and it took me a while to get re-immersed into the story. It's essentially what you would expect out of a follow up, lots of twists and turns and characters that make you want to pull your hair out. I would recommend it to anyone who likes domestic thrillers.

Very mixed feelings about this book.

This is the sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish. I did enjoy that book. This continuation starts pretty much where the last one left off. Daphne is having trouble with her daughter Tallulah wanting to see her father, Jackson. Jackson is in jail and now married to Amber, the queen of all gold diggers. Daphne decides to take the girls back to see Jackson for the summer. Obviously he gets up to his old antics' and a whole lot of drama and crazy ensues.

First of all no one who has been abused should ever go back. And no therapist would advise to do so, not if they are legitimate. I understand that there wouldn't be a story if Daphne didn't go back but that part of the story is just awful to me. I will say I flew through this book as I couldn't put it down. I loved the addition of Daisy Ann. I love hating Amber and all her horrid selfishness. But Daphne making bad decision after bad decision was tiresome. EVERYONE including her lawyers are telling her no but she decides yes? It didn't make any sense. I also thought Jackson's ending was rushed and unsatisfying, even if he's a jerk.

Thank you to Random House and NetGalley for the eARC of this book.

As a huge fan of The Last Mrs. Parrish, I was very much looking forward to this book. The first one had me on the edge of my seat the entire time, so much so that I finished it in one day. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for this sequel. The story fell flat, with the end result being basically the same as before it started. I wasn’t really rooting for anyone in particular, except the children, and the drama felt very over the top and a little ridiculous. I wish I would have loved it, but this just wasn’t what I hoped for.

I really liked The Last Mrs. Parrish, so I was excited to read this sequel; however, it fell a bit flat for me. There weren't too many twists or exciting events to hold the reader's attention. This sequel was more about wrapping up any loose ends from the last book and giving an update on characters, to me. Introducing Daisy Ann and her family's story was obviously to include some sort of spin on the old tale, but I just found Daisy Ann to be grating and annoying. Her story wasn't really thrilling because we knew the truth about Amber killing her father. Overall, the book was entertaining enough to finish, but it's not something I will be raving about to friends.

I enjoyed the return of the Parrish “family”. The cat and mouse games left me engaged and the ending was so satisfying. Thanks for the chance to read this one early!

I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish so was really thrilled to be approved to read an eARC of The Next Mrs. Parrish. This author duo is amazing. Sometimes a second book can just be okay following an incredible first book but this sequel did not disappoint. I cannot say enough how good this was with its gorgeous cover, colorful characters, excellent plot and suspenseful twisty storyline that keeps you guessing. It was hard to determine who was working with who on their own agenda so it really had a good pace. The POV’s (Daphne, Jackson and Amber) made it all the more interesting. The new character Daisy Ann also added a lot to the story. Of course my fave— a bunch of twists. I definitely recommend reading this.

🌟✨ Did you know Liv Constantine is the pen name of sisters Lynne Constantine and Valerie Constantine?? ✨🌟

Thank you @LivConstantine @RandomHouse and @NetGalley for a free e-ARC. The opinions are mine alone and not biased in any way.

Daphne Parrish is enjoying her new life in California far away from her ex-husband Jackson. However, her girls miss their father. She agrees to return to Bishops Harbor for the summer for the girls. Jackson swears that his stint in jail for tax evasion has changed him, but Daphne knows better. Meanwhile, Amber, Jackson’s current wife, is still in the picture and money-hungry as ever. There’s even a third character, Daisy Ann, that somehow fits in the mix. Who is playing who here? Will Daphne make it to the end of the summer scot-free?

If you loved The Last Mrs. Parrish, you will definitely love this sequel! The lies, manipulation, and quest for money continue in this next installment. I loved the short chapters and the multiple points of view. You can’t trust anyone here. I enjoyed all the twists and turns. Everyone gets what they deserve in the end, which I truly enjoyed. I highly recommend this series to anyone that enjoys twisty thrillers!

This book stressed me out! None of the characters are particularly likeable, except I do feel for Daphne. I really enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish and was excited to see a sequel. I would not recommend reading this as a standalone. Reading the first book will give you more context into this crazy drama of a mess. I appreciated the brief references to past events in order to jog my memory of the previous book. Amber is just as intense as I remember. This was a very enjoyable and suspenseful sequel filled with family drama.

The Next Mrs Parrish
By Liv Constantine

Spoiler Alert!!

I loved this story!! I love that Amber got what she deserved!!
I love that Jackson also got what he deserved, and I especially loved that Daphne and the girls are safe and able to be together.
This story, a sequel of The Last Mrs Parrish, is fantastic. This however is definitely not a stand alone book. You will need to read the first story to understand what is going on in this story.
Again, I really enjoyed this story and I thank NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballentine.

Thank you NetGalley & Bantam for the advanced copy of this book!
I will start by saying that I liked The Last Mrs Parrish, but didn’t love it. I did enjoy the sequel a bit better. Which for me this is surprising! Normally the sequel just isn’t as great.

I think I liked this one more because the chapters were shorter and more engaging than the first. I still do have my complaints, I despise Jackson and Amber. They are the worse characters. But of course Liv writes them so we hate them. I also wanted more Oh my goodness moments but it fell short.
Overall it was a decent book. True rating 3.5 but rounded up.

I had a hard time getting through the sequel to the Last Mrs. Parrish. It was super chaotic and felt disconnected. The characters were even more crazy than they were the first time around. If you loved the first book, you might want to skip this one.

Absolutely loved this sequel!! Loved the characters and the back story bringing the book to life! Daphne showed the love of a mother would do anything for her children. Loved that Daisy Ann came into rescue when the plot twist created a wtf moment!

Was SO excited to see there was a sequel - and it did not disappoint! As always, great writing that keeps you wanting "just one more chapter". Great twists and turns - I couldn't have predicted some of it! My frustrations with Daphne remain - how could someone be that dumb to go back - but other than that - an excellent summer read and I highly recommend!

I’m going to be honest—the first one was decent, and kept me interested. This one, though, coming out so long after I read the first, didn’t keep my attention. I was disappointed.

Once I saw there was a sequel to this book, I was so excited! Daphne and Amber’s story was not over yet and I love the direction that Liv Constantine took. I had a feeling that Amber must have burned other people in the past, so I loved the introduction of Daisy Anne as a character as she tries to get justice for her father. Jackson is still as crazy as ever and my only critique is that some of the scenes between Jackson and Daphne were a bit far fetched and the conversations didn’t feel natural. I did love all the twists and am glad I was able to hear more and thinking that the cliff hanger might mean a 3rd book in the future hopefully? :)
