Looking for a book to take with you on vacation ? This is a great one, although you might not put it down and be deemed antisocial by your family! I was excited to read this novel because I read and enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish and The First Shot (novella on audible). I definitely recommend reading both of these prior to this one. The story begins with a conwoman that seems to always get her way, destroying families with a blink of an eye for her own personal gain. However, not everyone is who they are cracked up to be and it isn't as smooth sailing as she thought it would be.
I was inspired to read this because I was invested in the characters and really wanted to see what would transpire next. Similarly to the other books, I began to respond to my reading as if I was there too .. putting my head in my hand or yelling no, don't do that! I found myself getting more frustrated with this book because I was already pretty well acquainted with all of the players, knowing what they were capable of. Despite that, this is not a book to be missed. You have to find out what happens! If you loved The Senator's Wife (which is written by the same author), The Housemaid, or movie A Simple Favor, you should definitely give this book a try. Thanks to Penguin Random House and NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

This one fell a bit short for me. Just seemed a bit much and not as believable. I do appreciate the arc in exchange of an honest review, however,

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! No spoilers. Beyond amazing I enjoyed this book so very much. The characters and storyline were fantastic. The ending I did not see coming Could not put down nor did I want to. Truly Amazing and appreciated the whole story. This is going to be a must read for many many readers. Maybe even a book club pick.

it was a thrilling and fast-paced read that kept me hooked. The unexpected twists and turns kept me on edge, and I was happy to see some intriguing plot threads explored further. It had plenty of surprises to keep things exciting!
Thank you for the E-ARC!

The Next Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine had an intriguing setup and moments of suspense, but overall, it fell a bit flat for me. While the main plot was compelling, some of the outer storylines felt unnecessary and detracted from the core narrative. These subplots didn’t add much to the story and made the pacing feel uneven at times. The characters had potential, but I found it hard to connect with them, which made it difficult to stay fully engaged. Despite these issues, there were still some twists that kept me curious. It’s an okay read, but it didn’t quite live up to my expectations.

This book was a great sequel to the Last Mrs. Parrish. I really enjoyed revisiting the characters from the previous novel and loved the twists and the ending!! Definitely worth the read!!

The claws came out in this book and I was here for the drama! Daphne and Amber were back, as well as a newbie, Daisy Ann who was tied to Amber in the past. The three women are all intertwined and the authors created a compelling plot with a twist or two. All the adult characters, including Mr. Jackson Parrish, were ones I loved to hate! Thank you to Random House-Ballentine for an electronic copy to read and provide my honest thoughts.

An enjoyable, interesting follow-up to the amazing The Last Mrs. Parrish. A few of the details were a bit far-fetched and unbelievable, but overall, an enjoyable and nerve-wracking page-turner.

The Next Mrs. Parish picks up right where its predecessor left off, and it was a thrilling experience revisiting the characters and diving deeper into the twisted world of lies, betrayal, and murder. The plot is fast-paced, with suspense building at every turn, keeping you hooked from beginning to end.
One of the best parts of this sequel is how it develops the characters further. I found myself absolutely hating Amber and Jackson even more than I did in the first book, which speaks to how effectively the author crafts their toxicity and deceit. On the flip side, I was fully rooting for Daphne, whose complexity as a character grew significantly in this installment. Her journey is filled with twists, and I found myself cheering her on as the tension escalated.
The pacing is quick, making it a perfect read for those who want a suspenseful and engaging story that doesn't slow down. The twists and turns keep you guessing, and while some might find parts predictable, I appreciated the way the story unfolded.
Overall, The Next Mrs. Parish is a solid 4-star read. It delivers on the suspense and drama that fans of the genre crave. Thanks to NetGalley for providing the ARC!

In general I liked this book but I think it was a little farfetched for a sequel. Daphne infuriated me by not being open and honest with her children. I think if she had just been communicative a lot of this heartache could have been avoided.

I struggled getting through the sequel. I was hoping it would be more of a page-turner. I think too much time elapsed between books and it was hard to remember some of the details from the first book.

A good follow up! The story felt mostly inventive, not too predictable. It seems like a third installment will be likely and I’ll definitely read it!

Thank you Netgalley for allowing me to get an early copy of this book! This was one of my most anticipated sequels of 2024 and it did not disappoint. The last Mrs. Parrish was the book that got me back into reading in 2020, and being able to jump right back into that world was so incredibly fun. This was an insane ride to say the least, the drama and shock literally did not stop from cover to cover and it was so fun. Do not read this book if you are expecting anything other than pure chaos and soap opera esque storylines. When we jump back into the book we start to see that the life that Amber had schemed to get might not actually end up the way she wanted, as her husband Jackson has definitely realized her motives. Then through tons of schemes, we see how daphne is dragged back into this world she thought she escaped just to protect her children.
I loved how this book played out, some things were expected but the final ending was *chefs kiss*
Now this one was not necessary after the first one, but it definitely was fun if you want a low steaks domestic thriller to get into!

I listened to this book on audio, and boy, was it hard to listen to. I remember reading the first book in this series many years ago and really liking it, but thinking that the characters were trash humans. This book continued the trend.
The majority of these characters are deplorable human beings. Amber and Jackson both deserve all the terrible things that eventually befall them in this book. Daphne wasn't nearly as awful but could've saved herself a whole slew of headaches if she had just talked to her children honestly.
The addition of Daisy Ann was helpful to move a story that I thought had a conclusive ending in the last book forward, but was a little OTT. There were almost too many "twists" and I don't think they were done well.
Was this sequel needed, I think not. Was it decent enough to read, if you can get past the terrible humans, sure.

A solid follow-up to The Last Mrs. Parrish - a little stretch of the imagination but I definitely knew what I was getting into with Daphne and Amber. It was fast-paced and some of the events were a little shocking - is Jackson a changed man or is he really behind everything that's been happening?? I zipped right through it. Thanks to #NetGalley for the opportunity to preview #TheNextMrsParrish by Liv Constantine - what a treat!

I read the first book in this series when it came out many years ago and wasn’t sure if I was going to remember the plot while reading this follow up book after so much time had passed. I am pleased that the story came right back and I feel like I was able to pick up right where I left off. That’s how you know an author is a good writer!

When I saw this ARC was available on Netgalley I ran to request it! I loved the Last Mrs. Parrish and this one did not disappoint! Strap yourself in for a bumpy and twisty ride! Love love loved the ending! Thank you Netgalley and Random House Publishing Group Ballantine for the ARC in exchange for my review.

A great sequel for Liv Constantine! This addition wraps the events of The Next Mrs. Parrish up nicely. There is nothing left to question, which is always nice. The plotting, and societal expectations within this novel keep you on your seat with many twists and turns.
I want to thank Random House Publishing Group, Ballantine, Bantam, & Netgalley for an ARC of this book.

I enjoyed this twisty follow up to The Last Mrs. Parrish. It was a fun catchup with all the characters. If you have read The last Mrs parrish you definitely need to read this.

This sequel brings us back to the world of wealth deception and obsession which is in fact the perfect mix for an engaging read.
