Oh wow, what a twisty-turny mystery! I dove into this book without reading the synopsis so I was surprised to see we pick up right where we left off in book one. I loved the addition of Daisy Ann. The new character made this book feel a little less repetitive from book one. I do have to say what really took me out of this book was the psychological warfare Jackson put Daphne through. It was so easy to fall back into that plot from book 1 and I hated it. It felt super unrealistic. Like this guy just got out of prison and can somehow gain favor from the legal system and gaslight everyone so easily. It felt way overdone from book one, and I would have liked to see something else happen with her plot. Lastly, this book felt a little drawn out. I mean it did get me to turn the page quicker because I wanted to figure out how this book ended, but I wish we had gotten to the fun twisty part sooner.
Thanks to the publisher for the ARC in return for an honest review. This book releases 6/18

This is a solid sequel to The Last Mrs Parrish. It's a thriller filled with unlikable characters and selfish motives, which was to be expected. If you were a fan of the first novel, I think you'll like this one. I enjoyed how the author weaved new characters in with the familiar and continued the story in an interesting way. Amber is just as horrible as she was the first time around and I liked seeing where this book would take her.

While I greatly enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish, I didn't find myself liking this sequel nearly as much as the first book. This thriller trod some well-worn paths, was fairly predictable (except for some truly ludicrous plot elements that I found more endearing than anything else), and left me feeling fine about what I'd just read but not keen to hand the book to my friends and family for a late summer read. Some of the characters feel weaker in this entry as well, with some world-record level poor decision making from Daphne and some critical lapses in judgement that made me pause and wonder if anyone in the book remembered what had happened the last time they danced this dance.
Fans of the first book will probably like this, but fans looking for that exact same spark are not guaranteed to find it here.

I loved that some of the plot twists surprised me. It was a wild read from the beginning to the end. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

After loving the first book, I was so excited to read the next installment and be taken back to The Parrish’s world. This second book did not disappoint, each POV (Daphne, Amber, and Jackson) was intriguing, well written, and full of twists. The added storyline of Daisy Ann made this second book even better than the first! I loved the storyline, characters, and twists. Would highly recommend. Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for this ARC!

Another great novel by Liv Constantine. The characters are back in The Next Mrs. Parrish and this one keeps you on the edge of your sheet with suspense and shock. Hard to put down!!
Thank you, NetGalley, for an advanced copy of this novel!

perhaps it’s me (hi I’m the problem it’s me) who reads way too many thrillers, and perhaps it’s the domestic thriller market that’s so over saturated, but I was super bored by this one 😅😅
after reading THE LAST MRS PARRISH over four years ago (which is literally insane thanks) and not enjoying the style of writing, I didn’t have high hopes for this one. and sadly, it played out almost like a carbon copy of the original - this time with a brand new character, daisy ann. everyone is out to trick everyone and my faith in humanity drops even lower y’all 🥴
it takes a lot for a domestic thriller to surprise me these days, and this one was super predictable, especially for those who read the first of this series. jackson was just as manipulative and gaslighting as ever, and I seriously wonder why the heck doesn’t everyone set up voice memos and cameras around this guy because WHY
and heading back into the lion’s den all because your teenager is throwing a hissy fit? goodbye
all in all, it’s a twisty gut-wrenching gaslighting domestic thriller but I didn’t really find anything special about it 🤷🏼♀️
thank you to netgalley and random house for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review!

I adored The Last Mrs. Parish and had mixed emotions seeing a sequel… excited and also scared it would flop.
It did not flop! And it’s never too late for a sequel to such an incredible twisty book.
I must say, read The First Shot before picking this one up.
I don’t want to ruin any surprises but you will love revisiting Amber and Daphne. The love to hate Amber is in full force. Jackson is back too! Do yourself a favor and pick this one up.

Damn I didn't think this book could be better than the first one but wow I underestimated this author duo big time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved this book & plowed right through it & boy was it deliciously good!!!!!

Daphne is the former Mrs. Parrish, living or should I say hiding across country from her ex-husband and father of her two children. But circumstances are going to bring her and the children back into the ex's orbit.
Amber, the current Mrs. Parrish is wanting OUT! Putting her master-plan into action, she's set to leave Jackson behind but still maintain the lavish lifestyle she has grown accustomed to. Well Amber, you know what they say about best laid plans...
Jackson, is approaching his release from prison. He's primed and ready to once again be King and take charge of his family and fortune.
Who's going to get what they want? Anybody? Who gets left in the dust?
This was such a fun, entertaining romp, watching the three characters play off each other, like fire and ice!
If you haven't yet read the first in the series, The Last Mrs. Parrish, though not necessary I would still suggest starting there. I think it would elevate your experience with this book that much more.

This is a fun book, and fans of "The Last Mrs. Parrish" will likely enjoy it. However, I am not sure if this was a necessary sequel.
"The Next Mrs. Parrish," by Liv Constantine takes place after Jackson Parrish gets out of prison. He wants his ex-wife Daphne back and seeks help from his current wife, Amber - who is also dealing with a ghost from her past.
The characters are just as terrible as ever. I actually found it hard to read some of the scenes with Jackson and Amber because they are just horrible people. As for Daphne, I found her decisions in this sequel to be crazy and unrealistic. But I get it had to happen for the story. We're also introduced to a new character, Daisy Ann. At first, I didn't really know how she fit into the story, but it ended up all coming together.
While this was a fun, quick read, I don't think it buttoned anything up or added anything to the original story. Nothing happened that made me feel better off than I did after reading the first book. Although, I admit, it has been a few years since I read it.
I love sequels, even if they are not completely necessary. Sometimes it's just fun to go back to a world or a story you once enjoyed so much. But when I go back to a story, I personally like to get a little something extra out of it, an ending that leaves me feeling even more satisfied than the original ending. I did not get that from this book.
Despite my criticisms, I do think if you read and loved "The Last Mrs. Parish," this is worth the read.

This is a sequel to the Last Mrs. Parrish. I’ll start by saying YOU NEED TO READ THE LAST MRS PARRISH. It came out in 2017 and was great! The saga continues with Amber, Daphne, and Jackson. Husband and wife, and ex wife. Told from multiple POVs. Amber is a con artist who broke up a marriage. She’s currently married to Jackson, but her past comes to haunt her. Daphne is out for revenge.
If rich people live and love this way, count me out. That’s all I’m saying. So many twists. It was entertaining, that’s for sure!
Thank you Net Galley, Bantam, Penguin Random House, and Liv Constantine for the ARC! Pub date 6/18/24!

THE NEXT MRS. PARRISH
Liv Constantine
THE NEXT MRS. PARRISH is the third installment in Liv Constantine’s bestselling series. I recommend you start at the beginning with THE LAST MRS. PARRISH and you could probably skip the prequel that’s all about Amber’s backstory. But why would you want to?
It’s all good fun!
It seemed from our last time with the Parrish wives that Amber had won, well kind of. She got the man and the house and the fancy gowns and even fancier places to go in them. But we all know who the real winner was.
Left wondering if Daphne would ever get her revenge and this book, THE NEXT MRS. PARRISH is as close to that as we’re going to get, for now.
Seven years later and I still like the original installment in this series the best. I have a lot of fun with these characters and this series is one of my favorites. I can never guess where Constantine is going to go with her storylines, and I enjoy the mystery as much as I enjoy the intrigue.
Bringing a new character to the group was a great way to keep the original parts of the story while introducing a new character to bring in new life. And give us someone else to either align with or root against. Similar to bringing in a new housewife on Bravo’s Real Housewives series, bringing in a new character also provides a plethora of new dynamics to work with.
I liked this installment and had a lot of fun with it.
Thanks to Netgalley, Random House Publishing Group, and Ballantine | Bantam for the advanced copy and the opportunity to provide feedback!
THE NEXT MRS. PARRISH…⭐⭐⭐

Thank you to Random House Publishing and NetGalley
INCREDIBLE!!! and FANTASTIC!!!!
I didn't read the first book. This could be a stand alone.
The charters are wonderful and a very quick, easy read. I could not stop reading it.
If you are looking for a wild ride add this book to your reading list this summer.
When a ghost from Amber’s past emerges looking for revenge, the three of them find unlikely allies in one another, but who is playing who? When all is said and done, they’ll have to fight tooth and nail for everything they have left in this zero-sum game.
Enjoy Happy Reading

In true Liv Constantine form, this story line took many twists and turns, but kept you guessing the whole step of the way. The story continues right where The Last Mrs. Parrish ended, so it thankfully didn't do a time skip, and each chapter hooks you to keep going with the story. You are rooting for Daphne, and also at the same time wondering what the heck is going on with "Amber", with each situation she's in becoming messier and messier.

With a host of questionable characters, a murderer, a controlling abusive husband and an ex wife who wants to makes things right, this story takes us on a sinister and propulsive ride.
Could there be a better "villianess" than Amber Patterson Parrish, the social climbing second wife of Jackson Parrish. Daphne, wife number one has vowed to never return to Bishop's Harbor and to the world of Jackson, newly released from prison for tax evasion. However, her oldest daughter tries to run away to daddy dearest.
In an attempt to see a supposedly changed Jackson, Daphne decides to take their daughters to Bishop's Corner for the summer to be with their dad where she finds the promised changed Jackson has not changed at all.
Another woman Daisy Anne enters the fray and then it's game on as all of them scheme and try to "get" one another. The question is will the vile Amber get her due?
Exciting and fun, this story is a quick read and one that will have you scurrying through the pages to find out how all the lives will be resolved or will they?
Thank you to Liv Constantine, Bantan Books, and NetGalley for a copy of this story due out in June.

I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish, so I was eager to read this, having the librarian put it on hold for me months before it was released. I was lucky enough to be given access to an ARC and I couldn't wait to get started, hoping that The Next Mrs. Parrish would be as good as The Last Mrs. Parrish.
The Next Mrs. Parrish picks up shortly after The Last Mrs. Parrish left off. We are first greeted to Amber, who weaseled her way into Daphne Parrish's life only in order to get close to Jackson Parrish and ultimately break up Daphne and Jackson's marriage. Amber is trying to figure out how she can continue to live the lavish lifestyle she has grown accustomed to since she became Mrs. Parrish and gave Jackson the son he so desperately wanted but didn't have with Daphne. This is proving to be a challenge because Jackson is in jail and the feds have seized most of the couple's assets.
Meanwhile, Daphne is starting fresh after finally being free from the years of psychological abuse she endured during her tenure as the first Mrs. Parrish. Living in California with her 2 daughters, Tallulah and Bella, life seems great until Tallulah begins acting out because of the lack of a relationship with her father. Begrudgingly, Daphne returns to Bishops Harbor, Connecticut for the summer, hoping that Jackson's time in jail has caused him to change his ways so that she and Jackson can have a civil co-parenting relationship. But Jackson wants more - namely Daphne back as his wife.
Amber couldn't care less about Daphne's return because the only things Amber cares about are herself and money, so when Jackson is released from prison early, she agrees to help Jackson win his daughters trust and get Daphne back into his life, but of course, something is in it for her. In typical Jackson and Amber fashion though, nothing is as it seems and and Jackson hasn't changed a bit, stopping at nothing to get what he wants.
This book also introduces us to some new character, most notably jewelry designer Daisy Ann, who has her own reasons to despise Amber and seek vengeance.
With characters you love to hate and others you are rooting for, this book shows just how far some people will go to get what they want - be it riches, the perfect trophy wife, or revenge, and also just how much someone can endure to keep their children safe.
I loved this book! It was the perfect mix of plot continuation from the first book and new storylines to keep readers interested and on the edge of their seat. If you enjoyed the first novel, definitely read this one.
I received an uncorrected proof for review from NetGalley. #TheNextMrsParrish #NetGalley

This book had my stomach in knots! I was so relieved when Daphne and her girls moved away from Jackson. Now they’re headed back to the snake’s den. Things go just as one would expect when dealing with a sociopath. But thankfully things get shaken up in a good way when a bold Texas woman comes on the scene! A tense but good read.

This book picks up pretty much right after where 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙈𝙧𝙨. 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙝 ended. The trio continues with their extremely toxic relationship and we get more of a backstory on Amber. There's a fun new character Daisy Ann, a woman from Amber's past who is out for revenge.
It would be difficult to fully review this one without spoiling the first book. So I'll just say, if you read and loved book 1 then go ahead and add this sequel to your TBR. Was it necessary to further the story? No. But, it was fun to revisit the old characters with another added to the mix and to see what unfolds after the wild ending of TLMP. Since this is set to publish mid-June, I think it would be a perfect read for by the pool or on the beach ☀️
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House for the advanced copies in exchange for my honest thoughts!

My thoughts on the story? I loved it! @livconstantine2
never ceases to amaze me with the shocking twists and turns of the world of Amber, Jackson, and Daphne. The story is fast paced and incorporates the mind games an estranged ex-husband will play with new spouse, ex-spouse, and kids is like no other! Jackson is a monster and Amber is one herself. The Next Mrs. Parrish is an example of the saying "you reap what you sow" or "what goes around, comes around"!
Definitely put it on your list to read!
Thank you to Random House Publishing Group-Vallantine and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this new book! All thoughts are my own.
