With a host of questionable characters, a murderer, a controlling abusive husband and an ex wife who wants to makes things right, this story takes us on a sinister and propulsive ride.
Could there be a better "villianess" than Amber Patterson Parrish, the social climbing second wife of Jackson Parrish. Daphne, wife number one has vowed to never return to Bishop's Harbor and to the world of Jackson, newly released from prison for tax evasion. However, her oldest daughter tries to run away to daddy dearest.
In an attempt to see a supposedly changed Jackson, Daphne decides to take their daughters to Bishop's Corner for the summer to be with their dad where she finds the promised changed Jackson has not changed at all.
Another woman Daisy Anne enters the fray and then it's game on as all of them scheme and try to "get" one another. The question is will the vile Amber get her due?
Exciting and fun, this story is a quick read and one that will have you scurrying through the pages to find out how all the lives will be resolved or will they?
Thank you to Liv Constantine, Bantan Books, and NetGalley for a copy of this story due out in June.

I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish, so I was eager to read this, having the librarian put it on hold for me months before it was released. I was lucky enough to be given access to an ARC and I couldn't wait to get started, hoping that The Next Mrs. Parrish would be as good as The Last Mrs. Parrish.
The Next Mrs. Parrish picks up shortly after The Last Mrs. Parrish left off. We are first greeted to Amber, who weaseled her way into Daphne Parrish's life only in order to get close to Jackson Parrish and ultimately break up Daphne and Jackson's marriage. Amber is trying to figure out how she can continue to live the lavish lifestyle she has grown accustomed to since she became Mrs. Parrish and gave Jackson the son he so desperately wanted but didn't have with Daphne. This is proving to be a challenge because Jackson is in jail and the feds have seized most of the couple's assets.
Meanwhile, Daphne is starting fresh after finally being free from the years of psychological abuse she endured during her tenure as the first Mrs. Parrish. Living in California with her 2 daughters, Tallulah and Bella, life seems great until Tallulah begins acting out because of the lack of a relationship with her father. Begrudgingly, Daphne returns to Bishops Harbor, Connecticut for the summer, hoping that Jackson's time in jail has caused him to change his ways so that she and Jackson can have a civil co-parenting relationship. But Jackson wants more - namely Daphne back as his wife.
Amber couldn't care less about Daphne's return because the only things Amber cares about are herself and money, so when Jackson is released from prison early, she agrees to help Jackson win his daughters trust and get Daphne back into his life, but of course, something is in it for her. In typical Jackson and Amber fashion though, nothing is as it seems and and Jackson hasn't changed a bit, stopping at nothing to get what he wants.
This book also introduces us to some new character, most notably jewelry designer Daisy Ann, who has her own reasons to despise Amber and seek vengeance.
With characters you love to hate and others you are rooting for, this book shows just how far some people will go to get what they want - be it riches, the perfect trophy wife, or revenge, and also just how much someone can endure to keep their children safe.
I loved this book! It was the perfect mix of plot continuation from the first book and new storylines to keep readers interested and on the edge of their seat. If you enjoyed the first novel, definitely read this one.
I received an uncorrected proof for review from NetGalley. #TheNextMrsParrish #NetGalley

This book had my stomach in knots! I was so relieved when Daphne and her girls moved away from Jackson. Now they’re headed back to the snake’s den. Things go just as one would expect when dealing with a sociopath. But thankfully things get shaken up in a good way when a bold Texas woman comes on the scene! A tense but good read.

This book picks up pretty much right after where 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙈𝙧𝙨. 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙝 ended. The trio continues with their extremely toxic relationship and we get more of a backstory on Amber. There's a fun new character Daisy Ann, a woman from Amber's past who is out for revenge.
It would be difficult to fully review this one without spoiling the first book. So I'll just say, if you read and loved book 1 then go ahead and add this sequel to your TBR. Was it necessary to further the story? No. But, it was fun to revisit the old characters with another added to the mix and to see what unfolds after the wild ending of TLMP. Since this is set to publish mid-June, I think it would be a perfect read for by the pool or on the beach ☀️
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House for the advanced copies in exchange for my honest thoughts!

My thoughts on the story? I loved it! @livconstantine2
never ceases to amaze me with the shocking twists and turns of the world of Amber, Jackson, and Daphne. The story is fast paced and incorporates the mind games an estranged ex-husband will play with new spouse, ex-spouse, and kids is like no other! Jackson is a monster and Amber is one herself. The Next Mrs. Parrish is an example of the saying "you reap what you sow" or "what goes around, comes around"!
Definitely put it on your list to read!
Thank you to Random House Publishing Group-Vallantine and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this new book! All thoughts are my own.

I am so glad we got a sequel to one of my favorite thrillers/domestic suspense books, and The Next Mrs. Parrish did not disappoint! This is an on the edge of your seat, cat and mouse, twist upon twist story that had my heart beating in suspense. I could not read this one fast enough to keep up with the power plays that shifted between Jackson, Daphne, Amber and Daisy Ann. The ending was spectacular, and dare I say set us up for a return to Bishops Harbor? One can only hope! This book is amazing, and I highly recommend it. Side note: I thought the author did an amazing job seamlessly summarizing the major plot points of the fist book, so while it would be ideal to read the books in order, it isn't strictly necessary.

Obviously I was ecstatic to receive the ARC for The Next Mrs. Parrish. I loved the sisters first installment of the story and could not wait to find out what else they had in store for these characters.
For me, this was a solid 3.5 (4 stars rounded up) read. Daphne, Amber and Jackson are back at it but it felt like the story was very much a sequel. A fun read with the characters you know (and love to hate) but maybe not the most incredible work.

Buckle up… this one picks up right where the last ended (so, make sure to read The Next Mrs Parrish first). New characters, schemes, and mysteries from the past make for another thrilling novel from the sisters of Liv Constantine. While not as engaging as the first, The Last Mrs Parrish is full of twists and shocks that roll through until the very end. A solid 3.5 stars rounded up to 4 (because we only like whole numbers around here, I guess).

Loved this continuation of the book that really plunged me into the psychological thriller genre that I’m absolutely obsessed with now years later!
I was a bit worried I would forget the details of the first story because it’s been several years since I read The Last Mrs. Parrish. The authors did a fantastic job of tying in details from the first story to catch up readers and keep them engaged in this new book.
I just loved how the characters were all intertwined and they were all so self absorbed that I didn’t know which one to even trust as the book continued.
The book definitely had be holding my breath as I was reading and just hoping that the villain would finally get what was coming for him!

I devoured the Last Mrs. Parrish and was ecstatic to receive approval for this ARC of The Next Mrs. Parrish.
Having been a few years removed from the original, I didn’t really remember much beyond the main story. However, that didn’t really impact my read as there are recaps sprinkled throughout. Pretty quickly you’ll have strong feelings toward Jackson and Amber and be holding your breath to find out what happens next. The book is a game of cat and mouse and moves at a pretty fast pace.
Did we need this book? Not necessarily.
Does it provide some closure? A little bit.
Was I completely hooked? Absolutely!
I would recommend this book for anyone who has read The Last Mrs. Parrish. I’m not sure it would hold its own as a standalone book.
Thanks to NetGalley and Penguin Random House for this ARC!

I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish and then twists and turns that kept me engaged, despite the fact that Jackson was such an outrageous character. I was so excited to be granted access to the sequel, but was so disappointed. I had to see the characters through, but I felt like Daphne’s decisions were so unrealistic and even silly and naive at points. Jackson and Amber were so outrageous and the writing just felt off. I appreciated the ending and am glad I saw it through, but I really wasn’t expecting this type of story line.

Thank you to NetGalley, the Publishers, and Liv Constantine for an ARC of The Next Mrs. Parrish! I devoted the first book, The Last Mrs. Parrish a couple years ago and made me love Liv’s books! Now that being said, I did read it a couple years ago and didn’t remember everything that happened in the first one 😂 thankfully there are little reminders throughout the book that helped me go “oh yeah!” This book is like the drama thriller you never knew you needed. Many times I’m like no no no! 😂this kept me hooked even without remembering everything that originally happened and I was here for the pettiness of honestly everyone.
Amber Parrish is living the good life now - has her money, her status in the community, husband is in jail for tax evasion so she doesn’t have to worry about pleasing him while he’s away. But now she’s running out of money since Jackson is ya know. In prison. Money is drying up and she needs to find a way to get some more. She is not about to give up on all her hard work to be poor again. Daphne is living in California with her mom and daughters and one tries to escape to see her father, Jackson, on the other side of the United States. Daphne does not want to face Jackson again and all of his mind games and cruelty. She gives him a call and he welcomes her back saying he’s a changed man since prison. Daphne needs to make a big choice - let her daughter run away into this cruel man’s arms, or supervise it and ensure she’s saying while she’s there. But Jackson has never kept his word before.. is he this time? Has he changed? A ghost from Amber’s past is back and everyone… buckle up this is going to be a bumpy ride!

Liv Constantine does it again. I need to get my hands on their other books now. These sisters can write!

Wow, I loved this book! I've read all the books in the Mrs. Parrish series and I think this has been my favorite one so far! It was so special to follow more of Daphne's story and meet some familiar characters again! The book was very well-written and the plot twists really drew me in, as usual with Liv Constantine's books. This was a quick and easy read, definitely bingeworthy and kept me entertained the entire way through! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an advance copy of this book for review!

Thank you netgalley and Bantam for this early read in exchange for an honest review.
The Next Mrs. Parrish follows 3 women, Amber, Daphne, and Daisy Ann. Amber has made many changes while Jackson has been in prison and for starters, she plans on ditching the mom life and wife life and getting out of the states. With her troubled past, how far will she get?
Through therapy, Daphne had come to the realization that she wants to try to give her daughters a chance to reconnect with their father after he’s released from prison. So she moves the girls back to Bishop Harbor for the summer to test things out. She wasn’t prepared for Jackson trying to rekindle their marriage.
Daisy Ann is a new character we get to meet. She runs a fabulous jewelry business with rare designs—derived from her mother’s creations. Daisy Ann’s parents are near and dear to her heart but both are now gone. Her dad was killed in a hunting accident by his new wife he got after Daisy Ann’s mom died. But Daisy Ann believes he was murdered—the culprit? You’ll have to read to find out!
I liked this book, but I didn’t love it. I felt like I was just coasting through it. The ending was great though. Everyone gets what they deserve(in my opinion). What a HUGE heart Daphne has, even after everything she’s been through. Love her!
I do wish there was more to put me on edge.

I knew the author would have to come up with a binge worthy drama with all the twists if there was going to be a sequel and it absolutely delivered to the point. Daphne, Amber and Jackson are back with their own secret agendas trying their best to manipulate the circumstances in their favor but there is a new opponent who is more capable than them now. How will things play out as Amber’s past comes chasing her in her new life. It follows the prequel and has really satisfyingly good twists for the readers. When Daphne comes back to her old life from California, i was literally screaming how she could be so stupid. This clearly shows how invested I was in the characters and the plot. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an advance copy.

Thank you Random House & Net Galley for early access to this book. I thoroughly enjoyed this sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish. The Next Mrs. Parrish takes place a year or so later after the first book ends, Daphne living a peaceful quiet life while Amber is as always planning her next move. We’re also introduced to a new character Daisy Ann hell bent on justice for the murder of her father who may be familiar if you read the prequel The First Shot (highly recommend reading this before the sequel) Events lead to Daphne returning to Bishop Harbor, Jackson up to his old schemes and Amber no better. The twists in the story were unexpected and it was an even better than the first.

This is a sequel to the 2017 book, The Last Mrs. Parrish. All of the characters from the last novel are back- Jackson, Jackson's new wife, Amber, and Jackson's ex-wife, Daphne. The story picks up shortly after the end of the last novel. Jackson has returned from jail. Daphne is living in California with her two children, who are struggling with the loss of their father from their lives. The book moves back and forth between Amber, Daphne and a third-newly introduced character, Daisy, who Amber has a past with. This book was very entertaining and had quite a few twists and turns. I would definitely recommend.
Thanks to Netgalley and Random House/Ballantine for an advanced copy of this book!

As much as I liked The Last Mrs. Parrish and the other books by this author, The Next Mrs. Parrish fell short for me. I had a hard time getting into the storyline and connecting with some of the characters. It did pick up once I got a few chapters in but about halfway through the book I started skipping over Daphne's chapters; I really didn't like her character. I enjoyed the alternating narrators and how they each had their own stories but they intertwined with each other too. The backstabbing, double crossing and dirtiness helped make this a quick and easy read that has quite a few twist and turns. Fans of Constantine and The Last Mrs. Parrish should check out their newest!

Thank you NetGalley and Random House for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

I was so excited for this book after reading the first one. Unfortunately this one did not keep my attention as well. I also noticed a lot of typos and extra/missed words throughout the book. It was interesting how the different lives intertwined and how cunning Jackson and amber were.
