I did not expect to see a sequel to this book - and man was i excited! from the first few pages, i really had no idea where this book was going - which is exactly what a lot of thrillers are lacking! there were so many times in the book i was checking the % on my kindle because i was convinced this was the end. every twist was so great! yeah, some of the resolutions were a little unrealistic, but this is a book and it was thrilling! i really liked this book; it was hard to put down and a real page turner!

The Parrish chaos continues.....they say sequels aren't usually as good, well I liked this as much as the first.
I do recommend reading The Last Mrs. Parrish first.

Was so happy to continue the saga of “Mrs. Parrish”… I have been drawn into the series since the beginning and this did not disappoint! I will be recommending to all of my reader friends!

I remember reading the first Mrs Parrish book on a beach in Mexico, absolutely devouring it in one sitting. I'm pleased to say that the same is true for the sequel. I really enjoyed this book. Is it predictable? Yes. However, I'm always okay with a predictable book if the journey is fun. And in this one the journey is SO MUCH FUN. I liked the addition of the Daisy Ann character. I will say that the ending leaves it open for a 3rd book, which I will gladly devour.
I will be recommending this to others.

I only learned about The Last Mrs Parrish a few month ago and it's one of my five star reads. Now, the sequel, The Next Mrs Parrish, is also a five star read.

The Next Mrs Parrish picks up on where the last one left off. Amber Patterson Parrish has clawed her way up the social ladder in Bishops Harbor while her husband Jackson served his time in federal prison. Jackson is due for release soon and Amber's not ready to give up her freedom.

Across the country, Daphne Parrish is having trouble with her teenage daughter, Tallulah. When she runs away from home to try to see her father Jackson, Daphne agrees to take the girls back to Bishops Harbor.

However, Jackson has a few tricks up his sleeve for Daphne and Amber.

The sequel starts at a fast pace and had me reading all day. I love how the character development gave me an opportunity to learn more about the characters which made me care even more about how the tale ended. There are so many twists and turns that held my interest. I love a fast paced, thrilling novel and this ticked all the boxes.

Liv Constantine psychological thrillers show a new side to high society, reminding people that not everything is what it seems and The Next Mrs. Parrish will not disappoint.

This was such a good book! It had been several years since I had read "The Last Mrs. Parrish", and I was afraid that I wouldn't remember the storyline, or even the characters! Not to fear! Everything came back to me, and in a rush!! There were many red herrings and twists everywhere. There were so many deliciously nasty characters. It was one of the most fun books I have read in a long time!

I read the The Last Mrs. Parrish for the first time after I was approved for this ARC, since it had been on my TBR forever and I was nervous that it was going to be overhyped. Turns out I did end up enjoying it; however, it was fairly predictable and nothing truly groundbreaking, as the major plot twist was a fairly common one at that time. I did love the awful characters in Amber and Jackson, and the book was well-written which drew me in. I do feel like the authors saw reviews of the first book, looked at each other and said, "Hold my wine," and then this book was conceived. The Next Mrs. Parrish picks up shortly after the first book ended. Jackson is getting out of prison, Daphne is trying to move on and live her best life, and Amber is onto her next scheme.

I felt it was easier to get into this story since we already knew about the three main characters and their general backstories. Daisy Ann was new, and I came in with several preconceived notions of what I thought would happen with her story arc...and I'm glad to say I was extremely wrong on all accounts. Amber was absolutely diabolical, and her desperation for wealth and acceptance among the elite was elevated to another level. Jackson was already an absolute pile of steaming trash as a human being, but the level of depravity he sunk to this time unlocked new fears for me. Daphne was smarter and stronger, but I found myself highly anxious reading her chapters while she was navigating her situation.

I was never bored, as the shifting views amongst the characters kept the story moving and the plot fresh. I absolutely LIVED FOR the scheming, cat-and-mouse games amongst all four of the characters. I had no idea how the schemes would play out or how the heck it would end. I gasped aloud multiple times, since I was actually shook to my core. I loved the ending as well, and felt that it was even more satisfying than what I anticipated.

I absolutely enjoyed going on this journey, and this book definitely sold me on reading more of Liv Constantine's books in the future. Fantastic job!

This was a page turner that had me late for work, my house unclean, laundry undone and my belly full of snacks! I blame my boss for the being late for work part because she was the one who first introduced me to Daphne, Amber and Jackson when she gave me The Last Mrs. Parrish to read, which I loved. I did not care for Amber or for Jackson and Daphne sure threw me a surprise curve ball. Which, let's face it, there's no better story told than one that has characters you dislike, characters that you do like and a surprise twist! When I found out their story continues, I knew I had to read it! Not only did their story continue with a flawless pick up from the last one, but it grew to an even better one with the introduction of a new, feisty character, Daisy Ann. Chapters are told by each of the characters so you really get a good feel of each one and what they're made of and just how suspicious, evil, conniving, manipulating and well you get the idea here. While reading this my jaw dropped, I cursed out loud, bit my fingernails and lost sleep because I didn't want to put it down. With chapters being told by a different character you just have to keep going to see who is telling the next one and what it is they have to say.

This can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend that you read both the prequel - The First Shot and The Last Mrs. Parrish as both will make this one all the more better for you. Do yourself a favor and read this book, or you can do yourself a big favor and read all three! I of course will be returning the favor to my boss by purchasing her a copy.

Fantastic addition to the amazing line of Mrs. Parrish's! As usual, I love how Liv Constantine wove intricate details seamlessly and not too much where you couldn't follow. Absolutely devoured this new book from them.

The story kept me guessing until the end. There were parts in the middle that did drag a bit, but overall it was a good read.

MY SYNOPSIS: Amber Patterson Parrish is still married to Jackson Parrish and has not changed one bit. Jackson is about to be released from prison and claims he is a changed man. Daphne and her girls, Tallulah and Bella, are now living in California, away from the wickedness and bad memories of Bishops Harbor. Now Amber and Jackson have devised a convoluted plan to get Daphne and the girls back to Connecticut, and Tallulah is beginning to resent Daphne for taking her away from Jackson. Now all have to face their past secrets and mistakes, leading to more challenges and unexpected alliances.

MY REVIEW: Alternating between a triple pov, the reader is reintroduced to Daphne and Amber, and the story picks up right where the last one left off; then the new comer (kind of, but not really) Daisy Ann. And let me just say, all of these characters have such distinct personalities, backgrounds, and suspenseful stories to tell, there was not one pov I dreaded reading. Liv Constantine did an outrageously amazing job detailing every portion of these ladies’ lives that I could hear them speaking to me as I read.

I have read sequels before, and it really loses me when there is too much from the prior book that I get bored… not the case here. I loved how there was just enough information imbedded from The Last Mrs. Parrish that I didn’t feel like I was re-reading the book. The Next Mrs. Parrish can easily be a standalone, but I still recommend reading the first one along with the prequel, The First Shot, to better understand Daisy Ann.

I did not ~love~ the format of The Last Mrs. Parrish because I felt like I was being re-told the story again (even though it was a different pov), but I loved the alternating pov within the same timeline for this one… OH and a shocking fourth pov to close out the book to make you spiral even more.

Having read both The Last Mrs. Parrish and the prequel, The First Shot, I definitely questioned whether or not a sequel was necessary, considering thrillers typically never have a follow-up, but yes, we absolutely did need it, and it is a 5/5 star read!!!

Daphne and Amber are back and Jackson is just finishing up his jail sentence from the last book. Daphne is forced back into Jackson’s life because she’s looking out for the mental health of her daughter who doesn’t understand why her father is no longer in her life. I forgot what a terrible person both Amber and Jackson were but this book brings you right back. We also meet a new character and get to see her connection to everyone. This book was fun to read, had some twists and turns, and kept my interest. I definitely recommend.

OMG what a ride that book just took me on. I cannot tell you how many times I wanted to throw my e-reader at the wall. I thought the first book was a psychological suspense, but this book blew that went out of the water.

We were back in Bishop Harbor with our favorite parish family . Jackson is scheming. Amber is conniving and Daphne is trying to keep the girls safe. We got to know Daisy a little better (we met her in the prequel) and oh my was her storyline good.

The ending gave us some interesting twists on justice, but justice nonetheless and left the door open for a potential 3rd book, which I would read in a heartbeat.

Amber Parrish is back and her husband Jackson has been released from prison. He is ready to return to his former life, but Amber wants to move on.

The Next Mrs. Parrish picks up from the first novel (The Last Mrs. Parrish), but it’s helpful to have read the prequel The Last Shot to have a better understanding of characters and their connections to one another.

Jackson’s ex wife Daphne is now living in California with their two daughters. She has been going to therapy to work through the trauma from her marriage to Jackson. The teenage daughters don’t know what Daphne endured and only know that they miss their father. Amber communicated with the girls while Jackson was in prison and told them lies about Daphne.

Daphne reluctantly agrees to take the girls back to Bishops Harbor where Jackson wants to win Daphne back. He says he’s a changed man because of his time served, but he is soon up to his old ways. Amber has plans to get back at Jackson.

The story also brings in Daisy Ann, the daughter of Amber’s previous husband. Daisy Ann is on a mission to get justice for her late father. The Next Mrs. Parrish weaves Daphne, Amber, and Daisy Ann’s stories together through multiple point of view narration.

I enjoyed getting back to the story of Daphne, Jackson, and Amber. Because of the multiple perspectives, the book read fast! I kept reading to get back to each character’s story because the author ended many chapters with suspense. After the story is resolved (with several twists along the way), each character has a chapter to provide a sense of closure. I appreciated knowing this, but it felt a little drawn out. I enjoyed the novel and look forward to reading more by Liv Constantine.

Loved this book! Actually liked more than the first which says a lot because I loved the first. Such a fun twisty read!!! Loved the progression of the characters and the justice they all deserved! Highly recommend!!

Picking up from the plot of the first book, Daphne returns to Bishops Harbor for the summer with her girls. Jackson releases from jail and plots to win Daphne back. In exchange of a divorce, Amber will leave with her small fortune. But before she can start anew, her figure from her past makes an appearance and she seeks revenge.

I honestly thought The Last Mrs. Parrish would fare well as a standalone -- while the ending left potential for a sequel, it was conclusive. But since it was a bestseller, a sequel did not surprise me much either. The second book felt unnecessary in the beginning but it did leave a more conclusive ending and satisfying karma for both antagonists.

The sequel I didn’t know I needed!

The Next Mrs. Parrish is written through 3 different POVs and I enjoyed reading each of their stories and trying to figure out how everyone played a role in this book.

The book kept me engaged throughout the entire time I was reading it and I never fully knew where the story was going which is something that I love in these kinds of stories.

This could definitely be a standalone but in order to get the full enjoyment out of this book as well as know all the backstory that is important to this book then you must read The Last Mrs. Parrish first.

The last Mrs Parrish was one of my favorite books when it was released and I was skeptical of why it needed a sequel. the author did a good job of providing a back story for amber which was a question I had following the first book.

I will say this is more of a drama rather than a thriller, but a lot of twists and turns that are hard to predict. I did take off a star because towards the end it got annoying with how many little twists were happening that were so unrealistic. Daphne also drove me crazy!

Overall an easy summer read but it wasn’t my favorite liv Constantine book.

I liked this one almost as much as the first one. New characters and a longer backstory for Amber made this one hard to put down. Poetic justice is served at the end, although some of the details seemed unlikely. The stories tie together in a way that made it necessary for me to reread a bit of it. But I got behind it at the end. Definitely worth reading if you liked the first one!
