I was incredibly excited to read The Next Mrs Parrish after loving the first book. However, there were too many storylines going on and it felt as though none of them were truly developed. I also did not like that some of the chapters were written in first person and some were in third, which made it hard to follow. I enjoyed re-visiting the characters from the first book, but this book fell short for me.

So much deception, manipulation, and evil!! The Next Mrs. Parrish oozes with slimy characters constantly scheming with greedy maneuvers. Good to see justice prevail - or so we think - until the surprising end….
Thanks to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballentine for the opportunity to read this ARC.

I’m so torn on what to rate this one! On the one hand, I felt the first 2/3 of the book were slow. It was obvious that the authors were building to something big, but it just felt like it was taking a while to get there. And I felt SUCH anxiety reading this! The whole child manipulation aspect just got to me. I was so frustrated by Daphne and some of the decisions she made and I just wanted to throw the book across the room. All that said the last 3rd of the book was excellent. Plot points were satisfyingly tied up and everything came full circle. If you read the first book it’s worth picking this one up just to see how everything turns out!

This follow up to The Last Mrs. Parrish was amazing. I was gripped and felt so stressed, I literally read all night and had heartburn from hating that man SO MUCH. The control and manipulation is superbly thought out. Incredible.

I received an advanced copy of this book through NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review. It's been a few years since we were introduced to the characters in this book. The recent short story helped refresh my memory of the key players.
The Next Mrs. Parrish, probably the *last Mrs. Parrish is a lot of fun. It's not really the writing that makes it 3 stars, but the plot and characters doing things that are insane drove my star rating in the end. When you watch a horror movie, scream at a character to be smart and not do the thing everyone warned them about, and they still do it? The only plausible way to have a follow-up is for characters who are deeply flawed to do ridiculous things.
Amber wants to leave town before her husband gets out of prison. Daphne and her kids have settled down in CA, but her daughters don't know the extent of abuse she received from their dad, Jackson. Daisy Ann is still trying to get revenge on Amber , who she holds responsible for her dad's death. These 3 women's lives converge once again. There were a lot of face palm moments that moved the plot along but frustrated me as a reader. If you believe the character is smart, but they do stupid things? Expecting different results?
The book was fairly entertaining if you accept things at face value and don't get too bothered by plausibility. When you want someone to get their just desserts and the ending was a nice little twist but also somewhat anti climatic or predictable. If you like prime time soaps like Dynasty or Dallas, you will enjoy this book. Just take things at surface level. 3 25/5☆ out 6/18/24) trigger warning for abuse and child neglect, drugging.

The perfect ending to The First Shot and The Last Mrs Parrish! How conniving these characters are….from Amber and Jackson to Daphne and Daisy Ann. The author outdid themselves with twist after twist. Highly recommend this book…and the other two. All are must-reads.

The Next Mrs. Parrish is a heart pumping and mind-bending experience. You feel so invested in this family and the twisted dynamics they live. This is not a predictable novel and that’s what keeps the read so exhilarating. At each turn of a chapter, the plot thickens and the characters are outdoing one another. You’re in for quite the ride!

I squealed when I got the email that I was approved for this ARC. I absolutely loved the Last Mrs. Parrish and reread it just so I was completely prepared for this sequel. I also read the prequel, but I'll say that I don't think it's necessary... most of the information from the prequel ended up being explained in the sequel. It was so good! I was shocked at some of the twists and turns. The Next Mrs. Parrish comes out on June 18th and I highly recommend downloading/buying it!

4 stars for me! When I saw that this was coming out I was curious what it could possibly be about since the first book was so good. This book surprised me and took me for a ride! It was thrilling to read all the plotting from each character. I couldn’t believe what I was reading at some points but I also didn’t think I could dislike Amber and Jackson more than I already did. At first I struggled remembering who the ghost from Ambers past was but as the book went on I thought they were a great addition to the story. I’m so happy how the ending came together and as always Team Daphne!
Overall this book was full of twists, plotting, successes and disappointments and characters you love to hate.
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House for giving me access to this ARC.

Wow. This sequel did not disappoint. Not as good as the first, with a slower start. But the ending made up for it. Jackson was as slimy and diabolical as ever. Amber doesn’t fool you this to around. Daphne sticks up for herself! And Daisy Anne was a nice addition. If you enjoyed the first, give this a go!
Huge thanks to Netgalley and Random House Publishing Group for the ARC.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this book. I really enjoyed this book and loved getting more of the story from the first book. This is a very twisty, domestic thriller. There were some plot twists that I didn’t see coming. This book will be a great summer read!

Thank you for allowing me to read this book as an ARC!
I have not read a book by this author that I didn't like and this one is no exception. The story is well written and outlined with the individual chapters being in the different points of view. I loved that this book was a sequel as I already had loved the first one in the series. While I would love another continuation of the Parrish book, it is so well tied up in the end, that another sequel might not be possible. I do hope Liv Constantine will consider it though.
Excellent book/story. 5 🌟

A rebellious Tallulah has Daphne returning to Bishop’s Harbor to rekindle a relationship with Jackson. On arrival it seems that Jackson is a different man than the one Daphne married and left. This story intertwines with Amber and a new character Daisy Ann. We follow Amber being her conniving self, while a scorned Daisy Ann goes on a hunt for justice. This book had my blood boiling with characters so well written they are despicable! A twisty book that ended and caught me by complete surprise.

A well-written, twisty, multi-POV domestic suspense thriller | Highly unlikeable characters abound | The story just didn’t manage to grab me like the Last Mrs. Parrish did, but I had enough interest in the outcome to keep going | The jumps between past and present tense were confusing

WOW 🤯 what a great continuation to this story, I was hooked from the start. With twists and turns that kept me wanting more, I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
This story starts off right where the first book ended, diving right back into these toxic characters that you love to hate. Jackson and Amber are nuts, the whole book I was rooting for Daphne and Daisy Ann, wanting them to get their much deserved justice.
Daphne swears she’ll never go back to Bishop Harbor, when her daughter runs away to try and visit her dad, she decided to go back for the summer. Jackson tries to charm Daphne, this time she knows better. Amber is trying to run from the ghosts of her past, it’s a little too late for that though.
I really enjoyed the multiple POV’s as well, seeing things from both the bad guys and good guys prospectives. I loved the ending, karma was definitely at play 😉
Thank you NetGalley and Random House for the eARC!

I liked this book, the writing reminded me of Jackie Collins. I haven't read the first one so now I will have to order that book. Nice work!

I was excited to receive an advanced copy of The Next Mrs. Parrish after devouring The Last Mrs. Parrish! I wasn't sure that I needed more from Bishop's Harbor, but I am glad Liv Constantine wrote it. In the beginning, it was hard for me to get into the book. It took a while for me to figure out and keep track of who was who. About 40% in the book finally picked up, and then I could not put the book down. The quick chapters had me up reading late into the night saying:"Just one more chapter!" I did not see the twist coming at all!

I'm sometimes unsure if I'm going to like a sequel as there can be a lot to live up to from the first. However, I LOVED this one! The Next Mrs. Parrish surpassed my expectations and had me engaged the whole time. The twists and turns kept me on my toes throughout. Just when I thought I knew how it would play out, I was wrong. I would highly recommend reading the prequel first to better understand all of the characters' history. Definitely read if you love a good mystery thriller!

I loved the first books so I had really high hopes for this one. I was a bit let down. I felt that this book was really long, back and forth and hard to follow. Overall the ending shocked me which is normal for Liz Constantine. It could’ve been a bit shorter and I would’ve liked it better. I’d still recommend if you loved her first book in this series.

Thank you so much NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group, Ballantine for a complimentary copy of this novel!!!
The trio Daphne, Amber, and Jackson are back again in this continuation novel. And once again all three of them have something up their sleeves! Daphne has been in California with her two daughters and mom for a fresh start. Amber has become a well-known socialite and Jackson just being released from jail where he spent time for his tax evasion scandal. However, Amber’s past is coming back to haunt her with a vengeance. In this novel, we are introduced to a very new and interesting character, Daisy Ann! What past does she share with Amber? Will Daisy Ann be able to finally put an end to the scheming and duplicitous Amber and Jackson? Or will Daisy Ann also fall prey to their backstabbing?
Put your seatbelts on, because you’re in for a wild and fast-paced thriller as the sage of Daphne, Amber, and Jackson continue.
The dynamic duo sisters known as Liv Constantine have put together an awesome continuation novel of the tenacious trio!!! You won’t want to miss this!
