Thank you to Liv Constantine, Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine, and NetGalley for an arc of this novel in exchange for my honest opinion.
I gave this book 4 stars because it is a very slow burn and I would say that for the first 80% of the book, nothing exciting was happening and I found it difficult to pick it up in my spare time or for it to hold my attention. I don't mind a slow burn, but if by 40% it's not picking up the pace, I quickly lose interest and hope that it's going to get better.
With that being said, once it picked up, it was a page turner until the dramatic conclusion. Can someone really change? That's what I asked myself going into this sequel. I really didn't know what direction the author was going to take the characters after the conclusion from the first book. The second book in this series follows the intricate and multiple storylines of Jackson, Amber, Daphne, and Daisy Ann. I can't give my thoughts on each character or their storyline, for risk of massive spoilers, but let's just say that nothing was as it seems and it had several twists and turns that I could have never predicted. It turns into a tangled, dangerous, deceptive, and shocking story. There was one point where my jaw literally fell open. The final pages had me surprised time and time again. Bravo to Liv Constantine for completely blowing my mind with how each intricate storyline unpredictably concluded. The ending does give the possibility to a third in the series and after the redemptive conclusion, I would definitely read it. I do think you must read the first book for this to all make sense and it's by no means a stand alone novel. This book publishes on June 18, 2024 and everyone should have this on their TBR. Stick with it, when it seems like the story is going nowhere, and trust the process because the last part of this book will leave you saying WTF, that was crazy!

It’s never too late to put out a sequel!
Being as the first book was released in 2017 and I have absolutely no memory of it other than I enjoyed it😂. For me, this read like a stand-alone and that worked just fine!
Amber, Daphne and Jackson make up a very dangerous trio.
Daphne is the former Mrs. Parrish, living or should I say hiding across country from her ex-husband and father of her two children. But circumstances are going to bring her and the children back into the ex’s orbit.
Amber, the current Mrs. Parrish is wanting OUT! Putting her master-plan into action, she’s set to leave Jackson behind but still maintain the lavish lifestyle she has grown accustomed to. Well Amber, you know what they say about best laid plans…
Jackson, is approaching his release from prison. He’s primed and ready to once again be King and take charge of his family and fortune.
Who’s going to get what they want? Anybody? Who gets left in the dust?
This was such a fun, entertaining romp, watching the three characters play off each other, like fire and ice!
If you haven’t yet read the first in the series, The Last Mrs. Parrish, though not necessary I would still suggest starting there. I think it would elevate your experience with this book that much more.
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group Ballantine

It has admittedly been a while since I read The Last Mrs. Parrish, but I was excited to snag an ARC of The Next Mrs. Parrish nonetheless. Thankfully, the characters were so memorable from the first book that I had no trouble picking up where I left off. There is nothing better than a good domestic thriller where the villains get their comeuppance -- 10/10 recommend!

really wanted to enjoy this book. I had really enjoyed the first installment, and the prequel novella was entertaining enough.
Sadly, I really, really struggled with this. It just felt entirely unnecessary. There was no suspense because there was nothing to care about. All of the characters were just caricatures and you couldn't root for any of them.
The dialogue, in particular was so stilted and awful. No one speaks like that. It seems like this book was put out to capitalize on the success of the first and it should have stayed in drafts.
Thanks to NetGalley for the e-arc.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of this book.
I was introduced to this series by the Reese’s Book Club. The Last Mrs. Parrish was my introduction to thrillers and introduced me to a new genre I really enjoyed.
This book was a pale imitation of that book. The intrigue and twists were done. Jackson and Amber are so unlikable, I didn’t even care about the revenge. I just wanted them to leave.
I like the author and will gladly read another stand alone book, but I am personally done with these characters.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
So first, I wish I would have read the first book to this first. I’ve heard it gives more of a backstory. However, I had no issue picking up on everything that was happening between the characters.
This was a great read! It bounced between 3 characters POV, but the author did a great job transitioning each. There was a lot of twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. Each character was always seemed to be ahead of the other, and then bam surprise! Another twist.
Thank you so much NetGalley for this advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

As much I was excited about getting an early copy of this I did wonder, do we really need a sequel? Things were fairly wrapped up in the first book but yes, we did need a sequel because this was just as wickedly fun and outrageous as the first book. Besides perspectives from Amber and Daphne there was a third one from Daisy Ann and I wondered how she fit in. When all came to light it totally made sense and she was an excellent addition to this group of messy characters. If you enjoy domestic suspense with characters you’ll love to hate, twisty stories and plenty of delicious drama this was so fun and I predict will be in many beach bags this summer.

I LOVED IT! I did not see the twist at the end coming AT ALL. I thought it was a bit drawn out, but in the end I ended up understanding why the info was needed to tie it all together.

Just suspend practicalities and buckle up for a fun ride continuing where “The Last Mrs. Parrish” ended. Familiar faces return but the women in this story take front and center as each tries to take control of their life. Huge thanks to NetGalley for the chance to read an ARC! Great way to start summer: with a perfect beach read.

I had read the first book awhile ago and was so surprised to find that there would be a sequel since I thought the first one had wrapped everything up pretty well. It took me a little while to get sucked into the story here, but once it did I couldn't put it down! I think the author did a great job of accurately portraying the challenges faced in families that may face similar situations and it didn't feel like the trauma was just swept under the rug like some books do. Overall it was a great read!

Thank you to Netgalley for the arc of this book. If Liv Constantine is the writer, then I am going to read it. I was completely entertained by this book and I looked forward to reading it. Manipulation, rare gems, murder, and an ending that leaves you wanting more. Highly recommend!

Amber Parrish is still up to her shenanigans of her pursuit of money. She sent her husband, Jackson Parrish, to prison for tax evasion and she thinks she's gotten away with everything. But with Jackson being in prision and all his assets on hold due to his conviction, she must find a way to get money, and she absolutely does not intend to work. Amber feels as if the life she's led previously entitles her to money so she does not have to work anymore.
Daphne Parrish is living her life in California with her daughters, Tallulah and Bella. Daphne thinks everything is going well until Tallulah goes on a school field trip. Daphne receives a call, Tallulah has ran away from the school field trip in pursuit to see her father, Jackson. Daphne is afraid of having a strained relationship with her oldest daughter keeping her away from her father. So Daphne decides to take her daughters and spend the summer in Bishops Harbor. But just going to Bishops Harbor and seeing Jackson in prison a few times would be too easy. Surprise, Jackson is released. Will Jackson be a loving father to his children? Has he really changed as he's insisting? I think it's safe to know this early, that's absolutely not the case.
Daisy Ann Briscoe lives in Texas with her family and operates her company, White Orchid Designs. But how does Daisy Ann fit into the drama of the other three? Daisy Ann is convinced Amber Parrish killed her father, Jack and she intends to prove this theory.
This book is full of suspense. I found this one hard to put down. I would definitely recommend reading The Last Mrs. Parrish first so you're not completely out of the loop. I would definitely suggest picking this one up and reading it!! Liv Constantine did a phenomenal job with this series! Thanks to NetGalley, Random House Publishing and Liv Constantine for this ARC!

Overall loved it! I love a thriller sequel because you get to hear what comes after the big twist revealed in the first book. And this one absolutely nailed it!
I immediately got sucked back into these characters and the authors do a great job with small recaps of the first book. Amber is so cringeworthy that I wanted to scream (in the best way) and it kept me glued to each page.
The best part was the book would take a turn and reveal something big and then it would turn a totally different way so you were kept on your toes. This book was the twist that just kept on twisting!

I’ll start by saying that you should be sure to read the books in order because the wording of the titles might throw you off.
Having read Liv Constantine’s novel THE LAST MRS. PARRISH back in 2017, followed by the prequel THE FIRST SHOT in 2021, I knew that the sequel THE NEXT MRS. PARRISH shouldn’t be missed. Boy, was I right!
There are twists, turns and surprises around every corner that will keep you on the edge of your seat. And when you find yourself thinking you have it all figured out… think again.
It you’re like me, you’ll be making sure your friends have read the previous books so they’re ready for THE NEXT MRS. PARRISH when it hits the shelves on June 18, just in time to be the hottest beach-read of 2024.
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group- Ballantine for the opportunity to read THE NEXT MRS. PARRISH and provide my honest review for others.
To Lynne and Valerie Constantine, the sisters who join forces and write as Liv Constantine, You’ve done it again! Thank you!

Justice was served beautifully. This series has been amazing. Each book contained jaw-dropping moments. I didn’t know what to expect when Daphne, Amber, and Daisy Ann intertwined but it was perfect. I can’t praise this series enough! Everyone got the ending they deserved, especially Jackson. Multiple POVs, fast paced, hooks you in from the start.

If you haven’t read the first book, I highly recommend you read it first before reading this. It’ll give you a better understanding. If you read the first one and liked it, you’re going to love this.
Amber and Jackson split up and Jackson tries to get back with Daphne. As per his usual self, he makes Daphne’s life impossible but karma gets him good and he pays for everything he did.
Amber’s past comes to bite her in the rear end and when she thinks she’s home free, fate finally catches up to her twofold!
Overall, I liked this book more than the first one because due diligence was done and justice was served

As always, these ladies deliver. I predict this will be a big beach read this summer. Fast paced, with some good twists!

Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced reader copy of this book.
The Parrish love triangle is back and revenge is the name of the game for everyone. While i greatly enjoyed book 1, i found book 2 to be confusing and far fetched. Short chapters are my favorite and I usually find the back and forth POV to be engaging but the back stabbing was so hard to keep track of i found myself getting confused.

The Next Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine is the sequel to The Last Mrs. Parrish.
I was super excited to have been granted this ARC because I LOVED the first book in the series (gave it 5⭐️). Even though I felt the first book ended well, I wanted to learn more about the characters and see where this book would take them.
I have to say it was a crazy ride! A lot more family drama in this book (the teenager is AWFUL!!) and it seemed to be a little chaotic. There were a lot of different things going on, back and forth, multiple POV, storylines etc, not to the point where I was confused, but it was just a lot. It did all come together in the end but left me thinking was this really necessary? (I felt similar with Colleen Hoover’s extra chapter for Verity).
I liked The Next Mrs. Parrish. It was a good story and kept me interested. I think the authors do a great job creating despicable characters. Do I think it added anything? Not really. I waffled on how to rate this..I ended up giving it 3.75⭐️ (rounded up to 4⭐️ on Goodreads) I have read that some people believe this can be a standalone, I disagree. I think you need to read The Last Mrs. Parrish first. I was surprised to find out that there is a short Audible original called The First Shot that is a prequel to The Last Mrs Parrish and tells how Amber became the way she is. I don’t have Audible so I didn’t listen to it, but people say it’s a must listen before diving into the sequel.
Thank you to Netgalley, the authors and Random House/Ballantine/Bantum Publishing Group for sharing a digital copy for my honest review.

The overall narrative is simply amazing, making it a book that can be devoured in one sitting.
